Gov. Jerry Brown Worried Stoners Are Holding California Back
He's Gov. Jerry Brown, whose aura smiles and never frowns – unless he's talking to Meet The Press about legal pot (click above for a 40-second soundbite). Then he starts sounding much older than his years, saying stuff such as:
"How many people can get stoned and still have a great state or a great nation?"
You know, a better question is probably something along the lines of the following:
"How many people can you lock up for drug-related offenses and how many people can you employ as cops, prison guards, lawyers, you name it in a patently unsuccessful attempt to stop drug use and still have a great state or a great nation?"
