Watch Matt Welch Talk Criminal Justice Reform in the 6 pm Hour on FBN's Making Money with Charles Payne
Should ex-felons be allowed to vote? Should mandatory minimums be rolled back?
At some as-yet unspecificed time in the 6 pm (ET) hour, I will be pitted against Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu in a discussion about criminal justice reform on Fox Business Network's Making Money with Charles Payne.

How much does it pay?
Crime don't pay, Fisty.
We all know that statement is as true as it is grammatical.
Should ex-felons be allowed to vote?
Ex-felons should be forced to vote.
Cruel AND unusual.
Truly, you are a monster. And I would be interested in subscribing to any newsletters you may publish....
"...Fox Business Network's Making Money with Charles Payne."
FINALLY something on how to counterfeit.
AH! Lou Dobbs.
That's one helluva hair part, Lew.
Ha, even Fox Biz is shitting its breeches on a government shutdown.
Apparently the Fed looks like they won't be raising rates.
To some of us, this isn't a surprise. To the whackbat players over on CNBC, there's going to be a lot of not looking Peter Schiff in the eye at the next cocktail party.
So most of Making Money is devoted to hawking its other shows?
Yes, it's absurd to force Congress to live within its means.
You mean 'live within *our* means'.
Dobbs: Political expediency trumps fiscal responsibility.
AH! Political Expediency.
This guy should go back to hosting The Late Late Show on CBS.
Is there a link to this show?
Welch isn't even on yet. It's a total ripoff.
I put it on picture-in-picture and Dobbs was pounding his shoe on the desk over something.
Brown shoes with a blue suit? YUCK.
He is a hip tv personality, not your father's banker.
It's ludicrous. The government should confiscate all of Payne's money over this.
Oh, look who thinks he's GILMORE now....
How did you know that in advance?
Ugh. Either you accidentally tweeted a picture of yourself in the green room or I was talking about Payne. I gather you did this abomination, too. It's not too late for you to take a Sharpie to your brown kicks, or at least make sure they're not visible on screen. WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS GENERATION?
I saw Kmele do it one time!
Foster's an unabashed contrarian. You don't follow a contrarian.
Look Welch, there's something we've all go to face - there are some fashion choices black men can pull off that only the rare white man can.
Freshly shaved head? On a black man - Bald of Awesome. On a white man - serial killer and/or cancer patient.
Bow tie? Black man - dignified (and probably slightly insane). White man under 60 - dork.
Browns and blues can work sometimes. I won't judge until I see. And not to defend Matt, but to defend Matt, he's hardly this generation. He's more that generation.
Payne's were light tan. I haven't seen Welch's yet and quite frankly am dubious he's even on this show.
Tan isn't brown, and neither is burgundy. Burgundy goes with navy and grey. Get it together.
We called is Ox Blood back in my day....
*gazes off, wistfully - wags Cole Haan Ox Blood tassle loafer on end of toes*
Deion Sanders wears shorts and flip flops under the desk on NFL Network.
He's earned the right.
MILLENNIALS AREN'T GOING TO VOTE.
I like Babeu's haircut better.
We as a culture said they shouldn't vote. We as a culture can't change our mind.
Ha, yeah, prison isn't a deterrence. Not being able to stand in the line at the polls on two Tuesdays a year is hardly going to make a dent.
Holy hell. Why even bother? Come on, Payne.
THERE'S THE DOOR, CONVICT-LOVER WELCH. USE IT.
AH! Barack Obama.
Just like old times with AHHH!! LOU DOBBS!!!!
DERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRBZZZZZZZZZ!
Accidentally seeing Barack Obama is a good reason not to watch television.
Fox Business Network is really weird. I'll flip to it and the last thing they're talking about is business or the market. They'll have a ticker at the bottom but they're always talking politics. Making Money is one of like 3 shows during any given day that actually focuses on business and the stock market. Looks like they're making an exception for this topic.
I am looking for some law related show. It would be great if anyone of you could suggest something related to law or any resourceful hint or link also work for me.

Why do we have mandatory minimums?
Because, in the past, liberals noticed that there were a lot of black men in jail and decided it was because judges were giving them harsher sentences than their white counterparts. So they took sentencing discretion out of the hands of (largely white) judges.
Why do we want mandatory minimums done away with?
Because, in the present, liberals noticed that there are a lot of black men in jail and decided it was because manadtory minimums were keeping black men in jail longer than their white counterparts. So the want to.......what exactly? restore judicial discretion? Why? So they can complain again in 20 years?
If you've got the same problem, that you thought was caused by sentencing discretion, when you remove sentencing discretion maybe the problem wasn't sentencing discretion.
