Senator's Son Arrested with Heroin
Accused of trying to break into cars
The son of Sen. Mark Udall, D-Colo., was arrested after he allegedly tried to break into three cars and was found with heroin in his pocket, according to local news reports.
Jed Udall, 26, was arrested after residents saw him breaking into the vehicles in Eldorado Springs, The Daily Camera reported. Boulder County sheriff's deputies found heroin in one of Udall's pockets, the newspaper story said. Udall was charged with four counts of trespassing and one count of drug possession.
The senator said in a statement to Colorado news outlets that he and his wife are "deeply distressed" about Jed Udall's arrest.
