Here Are the 2013 Reason Video Prize Winners!
On November 6, 2013 in New York, Reason announced the winners of the first-ever Reason Video Prize, which honors short-form video, film, and moving pictures that explore, investigate, and enrich our appreciation of libertarian beliefs in individual rights, limited government, and especially human possibilities.
Top honors - and $7,000 - went to Drew Tidwell's "I, Pencil," produced for the Competitive Enterprise Institute. Second place ($2,000) went to Justin Monticello's "Obama That I Used to Know," and third place ($1,000) went to Isaac Reese's "Game of Food Trucks," produced for the Institute for Justice.
The other finalists were "Top DHS Checkpoint Refusals," produced by Mike Mills, and "Chrony Chronicles: I Want to Grow Up to be a Crony," by Owen Brennan, Justin Folk, and Robert Perkins.
Congratulations to all the finalists and thanks all who entered the competition.

Very nicely done.
But, ROADZ?
Can anyone provide a link to the actual playlist on youtube?
Nevermind. Here it is. Thanks for nothing, assholes.
It's like a bunch of mosquitoes buzzing around my head when Akston talks.
Why was the woman at 0:17 doing addition backwards?

Addition has a front and back?
There's certainly a hard way and an easy way. Or better stated, an intuitive way and a non intuitive way.
"I never did like to do anything simple when I could do it ass-backwards.?"
? William Gibson, Neuromancer.
William Gibson is sitting in an office here, directing my company's operations. I know it.
Congratulations to all, and very well done.
Although I'm sad that a fascinating passage from 'I, Pencil' wasn't incorporated in the video:
Very wonderous, by jasper. I wonder if it's true.
You didn't build that.
my co-worker's sister-in-law makes hourly on the laptop. She has been out of work for 5 months but last month her payment was just working on the laptop for a few hours. pop over to this web-site........ http://www.works23.com
If that's the best "short-form video, film, and moving pictures that explore, investigate, and enrich our appreciation of libertarian beliefs in individual rights, limited government, and especially human possibilities" we should pack it in right now.
I Pencil is a superb essay that "enrich our appreciation of libertarian beliefs in individual rights, limited government, and especially human possibilities". That video fell way short of the mark. How many people actually watched it all the way through?
Second and third place didn't wow very much either. I liked forth place, but it's too long. Then again, that's the point. It would loose quite a bit of punch if you cut it down. Still a skilled editor might be able to make something pithy and punchy out of it.
Great stuff
