Kyle Rittenhouse Has Been Acquitted on All Charges
The trial became an upside-down microcosm for the polarized debates about the U.S. criminal justice system.

Kyle Rittenhouse, the teen who said he feared for his life when he killed two men and wounded another during a night of unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin, has been found not guilty on all charges, including first-degree reckless homicide, two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, first-degree intentional homicide, and attempted first-degree intentional homicide.
The prosecution had hoped to convince the jury that a 17-year-old Rittenhouse killed Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and Anthony Huber, 26, without just cause when he traveled to the riots on August 25, 2020, although their case struggled to gain traction. Rosenbaum was described by a witness for the state as "hyperaggressive," ultimately chasing Rittenhouse down and trying to wrestle away his AR-15 before Rittenhouse shot him. Video footage showed Huber striking Rittenhouse in the neck with a skateboard before also trying to take his firearm. And Gaige Grosskreutz, 27, the man who Rittenhouse shot in the bicep, testified for the prosecution that he approached Rittenhouse that evening with his own pistol raised, throwing cold water on characterizations that Grosskreutz had his hands in the air.
The now-18-year-old Rittenhouse became the star witness in his own trial when he took the stand in his defense last week. It was an unusual gambit for a defendant. But it may have imperiled the prosecution, as Judge Bruce Schroeder admonished Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger for opening his questioning with a commentary on Rittenhouse's post-arrest silence—Binger seemed to suggest that such silence was evidence of his guilt—and for attempting to show the jury evidence that Schroeder had already ruled was likely inadmissible. "I don't know what you're up to," the judge said last Wednesday in a testy exchange with Binger. "When you say that you were acting in good faith, I don't believe that."
The prosecutor was also roundly criticized for drawing a connection between Rittenhouse's actions and his affection for Call of Duty, as well as for his line of questioning on ammunition, which required the judge to correct him while Rittenhouse was on the stand. Yet a nugget from his closing arguments drew the loudest rebukes: "If you created the danger," Binger said, "you forfeit the right to self-defense by bringing that gun, aiming it at people, threatening people's lives."
No matter your feelings toward Rittenhouse, that statement by the prosecutor was "legally wrong," says Clark Neily, who served as co-counsel in District of Columbia v. Heller (2008), the landmark Supreme Court decision recognizing an individual right to keep and bear arms for self-defense. "The right to arm yourself and to protect yourself—these are natural rights that are not granted by the government, they're not granted by the Constitution. They're rights that we all possess."
Rittenhouse's trial became somewhat of an upside-down microcosm for the polarized debates about the U.S. criminal legal system as the loudest voices effectively traded in their priors and reversed roles. Cries to eschew due process and assign a lengthy prison term came from many on the criminal-justice-reform left, while the back-the-blue right zeroed in on prosecutorial overreach.
"Lock up Kyle Rittenhouse and throw away the key," said Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D–N.Y.), the chair of the House Democratic Caucus, who has dedicated much of his career to fighting mass incarceration. Judge Schroeder found himself at the center of similar reproach, coming under fire for rulings that some described as biased and too pro-defendant. It bears mentioning that his decisions were consistent with his decades-long career and not exclusive to Rittenhouse. But perhaps more significant is that judges have a reputation for being prosecutors in robes: On the federal bench, for instance, there are four former prosecutors for every one former defense attorney. Those concerned with criminal justice reform would typically laud a judge with a history like Schroeder's—when considering the deference that judges often give to the prosecution.
And this time it was conservative pundits who railed against the prosecutors, depicting Binger especially as a corrupt government agent with a lust for blood and a desire to punish Rittenhouse to placate social justice movements. One hopes they will continue to apply that healthy skepticism to all prosecutors, who enjoy absolute immunity from misconduct on the job and who are no strangers to seedy behavior.
As for Rittenhouse, despite the considerable amount of punditry devoted to a binary narrative—that he was a hero or a murderer—Neily presents another option: "I think he exhibited very poor judgement in arming himself and then going into that environment with a very visible, modern rifle. There's no question that there are people who perceive that to be a provocative act," Neily says. Based on the evidence, however, "I think he should be acquitted."
It appears the jury agrees.

Fuck White Mike, fuck sarcasmic.
Fuck Joe Biden
Try making an adult comment, R Mac (ass). Too much of a pussy to use your real name? Ha ha ha ha!!!!
James Aranes, Tucson, AZ
Ah yes, you are clearly a model of adult discourse. Bravo.
Found Mike Liarson’s boyfriend.
I saw the headline and thought, "the comments section is going to be *lit* on this one" and after I got to the end of the article I see that it's sitting at *900* comments already.
Now I'm going to guess that we've got a whole host of new 50 centers.
I wonder if Twitter had an actual server meltdown when the verdict hit...
Actual justice, and not mob rule. Awesome
I imagine Mr. Rittenhouse will be needed in several locations following this verdict.
Most importantly an attorney’s office where the discussion will be about his future wealth.
Let’s hope this inspires a million more like him. Democrats need to be too afraid to riot. A few more object lessons and maybe they will.
That said, let’s hope this doesn’t encourage anyone to just start randomly shooting protesters and getting the pendulum to swing the other way.
Hopefully I didn’t just give the feds reading this a false flag idea.
Well sure as judges to woodchippers piss off federal attorneys, we know they read these comments.
Pretty sure Joe Friday's comments are just to draw death threats. The willingness to narc is right there in the handle.
Pretty sure Joe Friday's comments are just to draw death threats.
100% this. Never forget that the fifty-centers will bait and astroturf us in order to demonize us.
Having the comments shut down due to violent threats is just as good as dominating the comments for them. Joe Friday, DOL, KAR and American Socia1ist are good examples of this.
Don't give in to hyperbole and never say more than you mean.
Sevo gives a good example of how to tell them to fuck off. He always says "Kill yourself", but never "Someone should kill you".
Don't make threats.
To clarify anybody reviewing he above comment: it was flagged accidentally.
I need to start scrolling at the margins.
The flags only matter to you. I've never heard of this site's operators caring one way or the other. As much of a stuttering piece of trash this site is, it's really easy to accidentally flag stuff.
Yikes. And no random shootings are counterproductive. More like neighborhood defense from rioters, where they aren’t allowed to rage and burn without pushback and consequences.
There was supposed to be a comma after ‘and no’. Random shootings are what they do. We’re the good guys. We only kill evildoers, out of necessity.
Exactly! The mobs will be out shortly.
There's already a civil rights attorney saying this is a racist verdict.
Let's see. Rittenhouse white. Check. Three people shot. White. Check.
Yeah must be some KKK robes in there somewhere.
You did see the MSNBC opinion piece which came out 30 seconds after the verdict? About how it's a plan to allow conservative whites to kill people?
So...rockpaperrscissors?
>>There's no question that there are people who perceive that to be a provocative act
ya. they're the problem. good for the kid.
The prosecutors need to be sued and lose their licenses.
Oh. And defmation suits all around including many democratic senators and reps.
And Biden.
Lest we forget, fuck Joe Biden.
Brandon has a sad.
Forgotten already...
And the MSM and certain youtube channels like The Young Turks!
I hope he gets even more money from Marxist media outlets than Sandmann.
I heard the prosecutors thought they would win on appeal! /s lol
And tried for assault with a deadly weapon.
"Plaintiff feared for his life as Binger pointed an AR-15 at him in an open courtroom ..."
There's video to back it up! Oh wait, all the MSM outlets are reporting server crashes and the pictures and video are gone...
And now we now from this case and the Arbery case that Republicans supported Zimmerman because Trayvon Martin was a Black teen and Republicans don’t believe Black teens have the right to self defense. So Zimmerman was the nutty adult like Rosenbaum and the GA redneKKKs that instigated an altercation with a young man with erratic behavior.
No. Zimmerman was also a clear case of self defense. See the scars in the back of his head from having his head slammed into concrete.
What the fuck are you even saying?
Rosenbaum has a clear hole in his body—so Trayvon Martin was engaged in self defense like Rittenhouse after a nutty adult created a tense situation with erratic behavior. Trayvon’s use of force with his fists was reasonable just like Rittenhouse’s force with his gun.
Trayvon instigated the violence. And he paid with his life for doing so. Rittenhouse was assaulted and defended himself.
No, Zimmerman instigated the altercation—it’s why the Sanford PD recommended manslaughter charges.
Thanks for responding to a statement that wasn’t made.
No. He followed at distance and trayvon initiated violent dummy. My God. Learn the facts.
I think it's sarcasmic. He's probably too embarrassed to troll this particular thread without socking.
I’m surprised he’s still sober enough to type on a keyboard at this point.
Maybe he is using a slur to text app
You've repeatedly attempted to hijack threads with this claim. You persist despite very clear evidence that you're wrong both on the facts and on the law. Please stop.
Call a whaaaaaaaaaaaambulance you Zimmergirl!
You do realize those are 2 totally different cases, right? Actions from one case can't be applied to prove innocence or guilt in the other.
Self defense is self defense and Black teens should have the right to self defense.
Everyone has the right to self defense. It's an inalienable right. I bet you thought the government granted us that right, didn't you?
They do. But not using assault because someone is spooky.
So Black teens should submit to getting assraped? But white teens are free to use lethal force to prevent being assraped? Let me guess—you are white.
Let me guess, you have a double-digit IQ.
Everyone has the right to defend themselves against ass rape. In neither the Kenosha riots nor the Trayvon assaulting Zimmerman incidents was an ass raping occurring or about to occur.
Uh, Tucker Carlson believes Rosenbaum was trying to assrape Rittenhouse. Trayvon Martin believed Zimmerman was trying to assrape him.
Sebastian: There was no ass-raping except in Trayvon's perverted imagination - and you are quoting what Trayvon's girlfriend said he said on the phone, when he was far out of sight of Zimmerman and a few feet from his father's home. If he'd just gone in, there would have been no incident at all. Or from all the evidence, if Trayvon had just _talked_ peacefully to Zimmerman and explained what he was doing instead of running out of sight, there would have been no incident.
Instead, Trayvon went back to jump Zimmerman and try to bash his brains out against the concrete. That's assault and battery (or worse), not self-defense. Shooting Trayvon was self-defense. And it's the prosecution's witness that proved it.
That is some quality bullshit you have there Sebastian. You seem oddly fixated on this.
So Tucker Carlson is a “pervert” for believing Rittenhouse was about to get assraped?? Read the Sanford PD report which recommended manslaughter charges—Zimmerman was behaving like a potential a$$raper.
You are still fixated on this. Nobody was attempting to engage in that. No matter how many times you fantasize about it. Please, get help.
So Tucker Carlson fantasizes about ped0 assraping??
See. You continue to be fixated on this. Go get assistance.
Seb, inform yourself so you don't come across as an ignorant dumbass.
Zimmerman was off the phone with the 911 dispatcher for almost 4 minutes before Martin attacked him. MULTIPLE witnesses (black ones, too) testified that Martin was on top of Zimmerman during the attack.
Justice for Trayvon was delivered on the very same night that he decided to attack an armed man.
Pro tip: don't do that.
The Sanford PD said Zimmerman acted in self defense.
Prosecutors indicted six weeks after the fact because Trayvon's family lawyer committed the first of several frauds on the judicial system by producing a phony letter, supposedly written by Trayvon's girlfriend - a different person than the one they had testify as being her - saying she had been on the phone with him, at the time.
Benjamin Crump should have been disbarred for the frauds he attempted to commit, to try to railroad George Zimmerman.
Parody?
Not an intentional one, I'm afraid.
Yeah, should be arrested and charged with Public Stupidity.
Did you come here directly from Stupidville, or did you have to change planes in Chicago?
Zimmerman wanted those skittles.
Taste the rainbow
Why in the world would he depart from midway and change planes at ohare?
If Martin had lived, then it would be very likely that both of them could claim self defense for their violence due to the miscommunication. The only charge that would definitely stick is Zimmerman's initial assault charge for following Martin (being a threat). Martin's actions were arguably reasonable from his limited knowledge. Zimmerman's final shot was arguably justified in Florida self defense law since he could not retreat.
Finally, don't forget, the prosecutor sabotaged the Zimmerman trial by only bringing murder charges, when manslaughter would have been much easier to prove.
I agree 100% the unethical overcharging of Zimmerman confused the jury because initially 3 of them wanted to convict him of manslaughter. (Florida only has 6 jurors). Btw, the prosecutor would frequently overcharge African American males and so the prosecutor was apparently very unpopular with the African American community and apparently overcharging Zimmerman actually helped her politically even while justice was not served.
Though rehashing the Martin-Zimmerman case here is slightly less fun than debating the root causes of the Civil War, or trying to convince each other---again---about abortion, wasn't it shown (by Jeantel's testimony) that Martin had reached a place of safety, before deciding to confront Zimmerman?
Yes.
wasn't it shown (by Jeantel's testimony) that Martin had reached a place of safety, before deciding to confront Zimmerman?
While true it doesn't really matter. The key fact was that Zimmerman did not attack Martin.
Well, he did end up killing him. I'd say that counts.
Justified self-defense though.
The question is whether Martin's attack was self defense, so an attack by Zimmerman creating self-defense on Martin's part would have to have happened before Martin attacked Zimmerman.
Zimmerman isn’t credible and we don’t know which party threw the first punch. We do know Zimmerman was like Rosenbaum and McMichael in that his erratic behavior instigated an altercation by creating a tense atmosphere.
“Erratic behavior” is not justification for assault.
Zimmerman isn’t credible and we don’t know which party threw the first punch. We do know Zimmerman was like Rosenbaum and McMichael in that his erratic behavior instigated an altercation by creating a tense atmosphere.
Rosenbaum threatened to kill multiple people, used the "hard R" N word multiple times, and started a fire. By contrast Zimmerman called police and quietly watched someone he deemed suspicious. These actions aren't remotely the same, not even in the same universe. Again this just shows how left wingers organize their judgements to reach the conclusion they want. They summarize so they can obscure reality to justify what is not supportable by the facts.
Sebastiam, we do know. The witness on the phone with trayvon. Learn the facts dummy.
Jesse, it is odd Sebastian is picking a hill in fantasyland to die on.
Rittenhouse killed Rosenbaum for erratic behavior that was threatening…if you read the Sanford PD police report that recommended manslaughter charges against Zimmerman then you would see Zimmerman’s behavior was erratic and threatening and Trayvon’s use of force was reasonable just like Rittenhouse’s.
Assault with a deadly weapon is a defined legal term that meets the criteria to respond with deadly force. The jury today reaffirmed this.
“Erratic behavior” is far from that. Keep vacillating between this and your fantasy. Martin did engage in erratic behavior prior to assaulting Zimmerman. But that wasn’t justification to Zimmerman to shoot Martin. That came when Martin was on top pounding Zimmerman’s head.
Rittenhouse shot 3 people!?! Self defense is self defense…except apparently when a Black teen tries to defend himself from a nutty adult behaving like an a$$raper.
Multiple people assaulted Rittenhouse. They chose the actions which means they chose the consequences.
A black teen has the same right to defend himself/herself. Nobody has the right to use force when it isn’t being used on them. This is why Zimmerman was found not guilty.
There you are with your scenario again. Creepy and spooky. But nobody has the right to physically harm you because of it.
"then it would be very likely that both of them could claim self defense for their violence due to the miscommunication"
NO, because Trayvon went out of Zimmerman's sight and to his father's yard, called his girlfriend, and then doubled back to assault Zimmerman. Seeking a fight is not self-defense. Shooting the guy who seeks a fight is self-defense.
Kyle was not seeking a fight. He prevented Rosenbaum's group from blowing up a gas station (and maybe the whole neighborhood, with dozens dead or in critical condition). That pissed off Rosenbaum, who chased after Kyle and attacked him - with several friends following. If Kyle hadn't been armed and skilled with the weapon, he would probably have ended up like Reginald Denny, if not dead.
But Zimmerman could have returned to his car that was a safe space…instead he chose to instigate an altercation with a teen that was spooked by Zimmerman’s erratic behavior.
Felony spooky erratic behavior? Lol
Zimmerman didn't instigate anything, you moron.
Trayvon, supposedly had arrived at his father's place, but the incident took place a hundred yards back, in the direction from which he had come.
Trayvon doubled-back to be the instigator of the altercation. Zimmerman acted in self defense, when attacked by Trayvon.
It is possible for both parties to an altercation to have valid self-defense claims. That could have been the case with Martin and Zimmerman. But only one person who knows what really happened survived the encounter, so we will never know with absolute certainty.
But we know from the Sanford PD’s report that Zimmerman was an adult that was armed and knew Trayvon was a teen and Zimmerman’s behavior was bizarre that evening…and it was Zimmerman’s bizarre behavior that spooked Trayvon. I see Trayvon’s actions very similar to both Rittenhouse’s behavior and Arbery’s actions and Zimmerman was like Rosenbaum and McMichael.
And we have a witness on the phone admitted it was trayvon who wanted to fuck a cracker up and hid in bushes to start an altercation.
Rittenhouse shot 3 whites—did he want to “fuck a cracker up”?? Btw, do you think Black teens should submit to assrape while white teens have the right to defend themselves when a pedo is attempting to assrape or kill them?
Rittenhouse shot 3 whites—did he want to “fuck a cracker up”??
He certainly didn't want to in his case, it just turned out that way.
Btw, do you think Black teens should submit to assrape while white teens have the right to defend themselves when a pedo is attempting to assrape or kill them?
I see someone caught Tariq Nasheed's latest cinematic masterpiece.
Now that's someone I think who knows he's a parody.
Are you admitting youre an an ignorant fuck about the trayvon case?
Hint sebastian. That term was used by Travis friend on the witness stand describing her phone call dumbass.
He said "spooked."
Arrest him.
Triggered even?
and it was Zimmerman’s bizarre behavior that spooked Trayvon
We really don't know that and never will.
I think that that case is a lot less clear cut than the Rittenhouse one. But reasonable doubt is reasonable doubt and Zimmerman had a credible case for self-defense and there was no one to contradict him on the situation when he actually used deadly force. I tend to agree that Zimmerman was probably a bit overzealous.
The Sanford PD recommended manslaughter charges because objectively speaking—Zimmerman’s behavior was bizarre leading up to the physical altercation. I see Zimmerman as similar to McMichael except McMichael knew Arbery was a thief while according to the Sanford PD Trayvon wasn’t casing houses and Zimmerman was truly an idiot getting things very wrong. Either way—civilians can’t kidnap Black males because they think they are on the side of the law.
And maybe he would have been convicted on manslaughter. If so, the DA, or whoever files charges, fucked it up.
I'm not defending his actions, just saying that he was appropriately acquitted of what he was charged with.
So unusual. PDs never ever want to charge anyone who shoots someone else. So strange.
Where do you get this bullshit that the Sanford PD recommended manslaughter?
They let Zimmerman go, that night.
If they thought it was manslaughter, they would have held him.
It wasn't until six weeks later that charges were filed, long after the prosecution decision-making process was out of the hands of the PD.
Sebastian’s statements are code k.
This is what tarded lefties don't understand. The right to self defense SYG laws are what gave Martin the right to confront Zimmerman for following him in the first place. And would have probably also gotten him acquitted for self defense if he had killed Zimmerman instead of the other way around.
is following someone an assault? I can't see how that justifies lying in ambush unless there is some other reason to believe that the follower has the intent and means to inflict grave bodily harm .
Clearly Martin can turn and say "Hey Cracker, stop following me" and Zimmerman can't really do much at that point. Martin can stand his ground, and if Zimmerman attacks he's guilty.

“…Zimmerman/Martin case was a very complicated case with blown forensics and unanswerable questions about the sequence of events…”
Git yer answurs right here! Coming right up!
The OTHER part of the truth (Martin threw away the sword and the pistol by his side, before he died, and the cops never found it, bumbling fools that they were), but here is the REAL truth:
Martin went a fartin’,
And he did ride,
With a sword and a pistol
By his side,
Lookin’ for a “creepy ass cracker”
To help him eat his skittles,
So when he couldn’t find his spittoon,
He spit instead in his shittooon,
And shit instead in his spittoon,
While the cow jumped over the moon,
And the dish snorted coke with a spoon,
And we’ll all know the truth real soon!
Zimmerman lied to Hannity and is not credible—but even he admitted Trayvon didn’t sucker punch him.
So...Zimmerman is not credible...unless he says something that fits your narrative...
He’s not credible because he lied in a national interview.
It's possible it was also the case for Grosskreutz and Rittenhouse. Though I tend to disbelieve Grosskreutz' belief that Rittenhouse was an active shooter because he's being chased by a crowd and not actively shooting at them, and he's running toward police.
That makes no sense. Grosskuntz loses when he advances on Rittenhouse instead of retreating. If he had stayed at a distance, then maybe.
If he's an active shooter, the threat is not just to Grosskreutz, but it's to others, which is a valid avenue of self-defense.
I don't think it's true, because we've seen the type of person that Grosskreutz is, but it's legally tenable.
No it isn't. He's watching RH run through hundreds of people without making any effort to shoot any of them. An active shooter would be trying to kill all of them he could.
Any belief RH was an "active shooter" is disproven by the facts clearly witnessed by GK.
the threat is not just to Grosskreutz, but it's to others, which is a valid avenue of self-defense.
Self-defense. Is the flaw in my thinking self-evident? I still don't see it.
There have been quite a few active shooter situations in America the last 20 years—nobody has run towards the active shooter in the first 60 seconds of the event. That defies human nature.
People respond quicker than that. Engagement is predicated on when there is an opportunity for a counter ambush.
The CCW holder at a Home Depot shooting responded immediately and lost his life as a result since there was a second shooter.
Clackamas Town Center in Clackamas, OR, 2012, a CHL holder drew down on the asshole shooter and the nut ran away and killed himself. The guy with the handgun never fired because there were bystanders too close. He also sought cover and didn't advance, so he clearly would have been defending himself if the shooter had advanced on him.
There have been quite a few active shooter situations in America the last 20 years
No, there haven't.
Not really. Martin made it home and Zimmernan had completely broken off when Martin went back out hunting for Zimmerman. Hard to be safe, go looking for a fight, be the aggressor and claim self defense.
No, the entire incident was less than 10 minutes from Zimmerman’s 911 call to the one shot.
Were you in the courtroom for the Zimmerman trial? Were you eye to eye with witnesses in the courtroom? You havn't a clue about the evidence in the trial. You only have what scuttlebut you gleaned from Reddit.
You can't say "no". Those are the facts, your assraping fantasy notwithstanding.
What is there to say, really? Cremington sees that picture of young Trayvon, and his thoughts immediately turn to forcible sodomy. Which is pretty creepy, in all honesty. But Sebastian seems to really be all in on this ass rape fantasy of his.
Hopefully he's not going to act on that.
No Ken cares about your crackpot revisionism. The Martin death has already been litigated. Now go away. Adults are talking here.
It's also possible for there to be reasonable doubt as to self-defense claims, such that neither party can be convicted even if one is in the wrong.
Zimmerman was on the phone with police following a suspect at distance. Trayvon was on the phone with a friend saying he was going to fuck this cracker following him up, hid in a bush, attacked Zimmerman slamming his head into concrete. The gun wasn't pulled until his head was being slammed.
Youre ignorant to the case.
Nope, read the Sanford PD report that recommended manslaughter charges—Trayvon was most likely just walking and talking to his girlfriend and Zimmerman instigated an altercation because he’s an idiot.
You are most likely fantasizing what you wanted it to be.
Nope, read the Sanford PD report—Zimmerman profiled Trayvon and got everything wrong.
Trayvon attacked Zimmerman.
Nope, Zimmerman isn’t credible but there is evidence that both were interested in fighting.
Just one of them was interested in it. And he is now dead. Just like your narrative.
Good luck with things in the future.
"Nope, read the Sanford PD report—Zimmerman profiled Trayvon and got everything wrong."
Question:
Why did anyone waste more than a word two two engaging this lying piece of shit?
Here's what SC is worth:
Fuck off.
Sevo, it is fun watching bullshitters slather more bullshit all over themselves in an effort to maintain the original canard.
Also, anyone sitting on the fence with an issue seeing any of these bullshitters slop bullshit will not hitch their horse to the bullshitters’ wagon.
Read the fucking trial testimony you ignorant fuck.
He could but making up assrape scenarios peculiarly satisfies him a lot more.
He knows what *he* would have done in that situation...
Did the jury get the Sanford PD report? They had it and they said "self defense". Cops "recommend" charges all the time but Sargent Bubba back in the Sanford station isn't a trained prosecutor or legally trained judge.
The Sanford PD let Zimmerman go, that night.
If they thought it was manslaughter, they would have held him.
Idiot Sebastian must have seen a bogus police report.
It is prosecutors, who recommend charges, police only act on probable cause, which they obviously didn't have.
More likely, Sebastian (Sarcasmic?) is just lying.
Bs.
Sqrlsy, is that you?
"And now we now from this case..."
Nope, that's not me, my spelling (word choice) is usually far better than that...
Also I don't "sock", or even THINK about doing "ID theft", unlike, for example, MarxistMammaryBahnFuhrer...
Finally, I am also glad to see this verdict! Rioters and looters, take note!
If someone - police, national guard, property owners - had faced down the very first rioters with threats or use of deadly force, equal to what the rioters were doing, when the summer of riots started after the Floyd case, we'd never have arrived at the Rittenhouse trial.
Mob rule is ugly and unproductive. More so than all the keyboard lawyers around here.
At the time he was shot by George Zimmerman, Trayvon Martin was already a suspected serial burglar, stolen gun trafficker, and multiple drug abuser with a self-documented history of committing violence against other people, and enjoying it.
Martin, a regular pot smoker and apparently a drug dealer as well, was enamored of a narcotic concoction called “lean” or “purple drank,” made by mixing cough syrup with candy like Skittles and fruit cocktails like the Arizona Watermelon drink that the media turned into “iced tea” because they couldn’t bear to connect watermelons and black people.
Martin had a history of street-fighting and of being dissatisfied that one victim didn’t bleed enough; and had been negotiating to illegally buy a handgun. There had also been suspicion of burglary prior. This sort of thing was what got him kicked out of school in the Miami area, and which convinced his good Mom to send him to his Dad out of tough love, which is why Trayvon Martin was in Sanford in the first place.
It is nothing more or less than a statement of absolute fact to describe Trayvon Martin as matching the dictionary definition of a “thug” well before he ever encountered George Zimmerman.
The media told us a self-appointed neighborhood watch captain and wannabe cop with gun-derived courage was on patrol when he profiled a young child because he was black and wearing a hoodie, and that he stalked and gunned down the helpless youth out of sheer malicious bloodlust. The media trumpeted that theme so loudly that most of America believed it. When the killer was acquitted, there was national and even international outrage. It was a bandwagon made for anti-gunners to leap on, from the Brady Organization to the White House, and they jumped on it with more feet than a nest of spiders.
The trouble was, it wasn’t like that at all.
George Zimmerman had been named head of the watch group by his own neighbors. While he had considered a career in criminal justice and taken some classwork in that area, he had also been offered a quasi-police patrol car and uniform by the police department that coordinated with the Neighborhood Watch, and had turned it down. Zimmerman wasn’t “on patrol” in his private vehicle on that proverbial dark and rainy night; the evidence showed he was simply driving to a Target store to buy some lunch makings for work that week.
En route, he observed a tall young man in a dark hoodie, the favored garb of the local “gangsta” set … not hurrying home in the driving rain, but looking in windows and doing a convincing imitation of a burglar “casing” his next target. Eye contact was made, and Zimmerman reported to the dispatcher that the “suspect” was running away. The dispatcher asked in what direction the man was running, and where the responding officer should meet Zimmerman, the complainant.
In a large development of look-alike homes, Zimmerman wasn’t sure what street he was on and couldn’t see a street sign. Also indoctrinated by Neighborhood Watch training to be “the eyes and ears” of the authorities — and literally talking to “the voice of authority,” the police dispatcher — he stepped out of his car to reconnoiter so he could answer both questions. As he moved in the direction where the man in the hoodie had disappeared, the dispatcher asked if he was following that person. Zimmerman replied in the affirmative.
The dispatcher told him he didn’t have to do that.
Zimmerman then walked to the next cross street to provide the dispatcher the address of the last known location of the suspicious person and hung up the phone. He assumed that Martin had left the complex and he walked back to his truck.
The first part of the whole Martin-Zimmerman incident was over when Martin was standing safe in front of his home, and Zimmerman broke off to return to his truck to meet the police. More than four minutes had passed since Trayvon Martin ran away.
Meanwhile, Trayvon Martin was talking to a female friend on his Android, telling her a “creepy ass cracka'” was following him, but Trayvon had lost the “nigga,” and he was close to the unit where he was staying. Minutes passed … and, the timeline showed, during those minutes Trayvon Martin had to have moved away from his nearby safe haven and toward Zimmerman’s position. If he was afraid, why didn’t Martin call police with the phone already in his hand … or simply, “go home?”
The second part of the whole M-Z incident was initiated by Martin when he CHOSE to double back, confront and assault Zimmerman. Trying to blame Zimmerman for that decision is pure dishonesty.
Zimmerman said he was confronted and then attacked, his testimony consistent with the last words Martin’s female friend heard before his phone went dead.
Martin sucker punched Zimmerman, knocked him to the ground, mounted him like an MMA fighter, and began raining down blows along with smashing his head back into the concrete sidewalk. Zimmerman repeatedly cried for help from his neighbors, and while several called 911 at some point in the fight, only one man stepped out briefly to yell at Martin to stop attacking Zimmerman, but he offered no help in stopping the attack. Rachel Jeantel, the girl who was on the phone with Martin, later said in an interview with Piers Morgan on CNN that she believed Martin thought Zimmerman might be gay, rendering the attack a gay-bashing.
After enduring an attack estimated at more than 40 seconds in length Zimmerman drew his pistol and fired one shot in self defense.
Trayvon Martin, 17, was dead, killed by a single 115 grain 9mm Sellier & Bellot hollow point bullet fired from the Kel-Tec PF9 pistol of George Zimmerman. Zimmerman was well-bloodied, his nose smeared across his face, the back of his head lacerated from where he said Martin had been smashing his skull against the sidewalk after knocking him down with a powerful punch to the face, followed by a rain of blows and a mixed martial arts “mount.” Testimony of the key eyewitness was consistent with Martin atop Zimmerman. The only injuries on Martin were the single gunshot wound and knuckle scraping consistent with him giving, not taking, a beating.
Now, this is the point upon the entire case revolved. Zimmerman, stated that he feared that Martin would beat him to death, so he drew his pistol and shot Martin once. Martin stood up and felt over. He died right there. The point in dispute was whether Zimmerman had a well-founded and reasonable belief that Martin would continue the attack and that, if unchecked, would cause Zimmerman’s death of great bodily harm. And, that use of deadly force was necessary to stop the attack.
The use-of-force expert who testified during the trial said that he was surprised that Zimmerman waited as long as he did to draw his gun and fire upon Martin, and that he would have been justified in doing so much earlier. The jury, comprised of both black and white members who heard the full testimonies, unanimously agreed that Zimmerman shot Martin in self-defense.
George Zimmerman was reacting to suspicious behavior, and did not know or care about the race of the person he was following. He did not initiate contact, and did not fire until well after he was attacked and well after he was legally justified in using his gun in self-defense. He did nothing criminally wrong the night he was forced to shoot Trayvon Martin, and only made the tactical mistake of leaving his vehicle and exposing himself to attack from a violent young predator. Whether Zimmerman left his truck or not is irrelevant. he had every right to do so.
All this, the jury knew. The cops who chose not to arrest him, knew more, and the lawyers who brilliantly defended Zimmerman knew even better by time of trial. He was no racist; an FBI investigation prior to his trial showed Zimmerman had mentored black kids, and had black friends. He was part black himself on his mother’s side. A lie-detector test (voice stress analysis) shortly after the shooting showed Zimmerman to be telling the truth.
But what the jury knew was enough. Following isn’t stalking. Being followed isn’t justification for trying to literally beat a man’s brains out. Having your skull smashed into hard surfaces is likely to kill you, and the universal laws of man and God allow you to kill your attacker to make him stop doing that to you. The forensic evidence and the bulk of the testimony alike were consistent with Zimmerman’s account of self-defense. The state’s witnesses, one after the other, turned into defense witnesses. In the end, the state’s theory amounted to … nothing.
That prosecution theory, in turn, evolved from the media … and, tracked back further, the media’s fantasy of what happened evolved from a brilliant left-wing public relations firm hired by the lawyer who was hired by the family of the deceased.
The PR folks outraged the media, and the media inflamed the public. Enraged people, once invested in their emotion, have trouble facing contradictory facts and evidence.
Fortunately, the Zimmerman jury recognized the facts, and the evidence. They — like the original investigating officers who believed Zimmerman, like the original prosecutor who saw no reason to prosecute, like the FBI agents who investigated Zimmerman and found no hint of racism, and like the member of the Special Prosecutor’s office who was fired for doing what prosecutors are supposed to do and turning over exculpatory evidence to the defense — did Justice.
“What do we tell our kids after this?” How about we tell them not to do drugs and not to violently, illegally assault people? Tell them to call 9-1-1 as soon as they perceive a threat?
And perhaps we should warn them too that if they defend themselves from life-threatening assault, they should be prepared to face the misdirected, powerful wrath of the clueless and politically driven … a powerful force being directed against George Zimmerman from multiple angles even now, at this writing.
The facts are in. The jury decided correctly. It is up to each individual whether to accept the clear facts, or stand on illogical emotion. Standing on emotion means helping perpetuate the race problem. Yes, it is sad that Martin was killed in this incident, but the facts show that he wantonly attacked Zimmerman, and Zimmerman had every right to defend himself against this unlawful, felonious, and deadly aggression.
Sanford PD recommended manslaughter charges.
Sebastian just got completely and utterly demolished.
Take the L, soy.
You read that nut’s rantings?? Sanford PD recommended manslaughter charges for a reason very similar to why McMichael is on trial…except Trayvon wasn’t involved in any criminal activity when Zimmerman instigated the altercation.
And that, dear readers, is the very best that Sebastian can do, eh
Fuck off.
I give up. Your persuasive Powers have done me in. ????????????
That was directed at SC, not you. You spent far more time on an idiot with an agenda than I would.
Hey douchebag, you’re done. He went out of his way to straighten you out. Now thank him, and move on. You’re distracting from the primary discussion here.
But, hypothetical ass rape!

Daaaaaaaaayum, that was methodical. Nicely done.
You'd have better luck asking Santa for World Peace for Christmas.
Please, Santa, PLEASE, can we PLEASE have Whirled Peas for Xmas PLEASE?!?!? Can Santa's heart PLEASE grow by three sizes?!??!
Hey! Stop y’all’s fighting!
HERE is an uplifting message that may help out!
A Trumpsmas Message of Hope, Peace, and Joy
In these times of divisive troubles, we all need a little unifying Lift, yes? So I present to you, a Timeless, Empowering Story of Trumpsmas Joy!
And it came to pass, that The Lord Trump descended from the penthouse of The Trump Hotel at Mar-a-Lago. He ascended the flag-draped speaker’s podium, and had an acolyte apply some touch-up bronzer. He ascended the Mount of Olives, and of Pineapples, and of Anchovies. Then He spake unto the assembled mass of 5 million:
“I come unto ye to bring messages of Joy and Peace! Do NOT be confused by the lamestream media, nor by the Demon-rats, who speak of many strange wonders! They speak of many YUUGE lies, and of half-truths! Some say that I am the Son of God! Some say that I am the Son of Man! Some say that I am the Great White Father! Or the Great Pumpkin! Or the Great Whitish-Orangish Pumpkin-Father! But I am none of those things! I come to be before you, as an Humble Man, with MUCH bigness to my humbleness… You may simply call me the Chosen One! Even the lamestream media knows this! https://www.bbc.com/news/av/world-us-canada-49429661 The American voters, the REAL, legitimate voters… The NON-Demon-rat ones, have overwhelmingly chosen MEEE! THAT is why I am the Chosen One!”
He paused, momentarily, there on the top of the Mount of Olives, and of Pineapples, and of Anchovies, as thunderous applause deafened everyone for miles around. He tried to wave down the crowd, for silence. But in their jubilation, the crowd spontaneously broke out into a chant! “Dominos Pizza-Pie REEEquiem, Dominos Pizza-Pie REEEquiem, Dominos Pizza-Pie REEEquiem”, they chanted, over and over, and yet over, again! Sensing their spiritual and bodily hungers, The Lord Trump discreetly ordered a single, solitary pizza and a basket full of anchovies, which arrived nearly instantly. Then The Lord Trump broke off pieces of pizza, and dished out the anchovies, which somehow managed to feed the crowd of five million!
With their hunger now sated, The Lord Trump was finally able to calm the masses, and silence their cheering, so that He could, once again, be heard. The Lord Trump spake once again, saying unto them, “Behold, now begins a time of troubles! The Dark Lord has bin bidin’ his time, which has now come! I will be swallowed up by the Penthouse of The Trump Hotel at Mar-a-Lago, for 4 years of dark nights and troubled days, and I know, you will miss Me terribly! But then the Boulder of Voter Fraud will mysteriously be shoved aside, and I will emerge once more! Trust bigly in Me, but bigly JUST in Me!!!”
The Lord Trump waited for a long time, for the applause to die down, and then continued, “While I am gone, the Faithful shall honor Me on the last Thursday of each November, giving Thanks that I have shown Good Americans The Truth and The Way. You shall slay the Great Pumpkin, and eat of the Pumpkin Pie, saying, ‘This is the Body of The Lord Trump. Eat it with Joy and Gladness’. Then ye shall drink of the cranberry juice, saying. ‘This is the Blood of The Lord Trump. Drink it with Anticipation of the Defeat of the Forces of Evil, and of the Demon-rats’. This, do in honor of MEEE!”
The applause was overwhelming and unstoppable, so The Lord Trump escaped in His Helicopter, to the Penthouse of The Trump Hotel at Mar-a-Lago, leaving the crowd to festering in the gathering stormy weather. There were no busses provided for the crowds, but that was OK by them, for they were full of Great Trumpsmas Joy!
Warms the heart to hear that story every Trumpmas.
Stuff your TDS up your ass; your head wants company.
Then fuck off and die.
Loser.
TDS-addled spastic asshole gets flagged.
I’m soooo sorry that your Great Whitish-Orangish Pumpkin-Father has been CHEATED out of His Office by evil Demoncrats! I suggest that you might be able to retreat to your safe space… I hear they have laid in a large supply of Teddy Bears. Maybe one of the Teddy Bears will agree to lay with you, and snuggle your wuggle for a while! There, there!
In a mere few more years, as you are still jonesing for Great White Father, I bet you could persuade Alex Jones to be your Next Savior! Slogan: Jonesing for Jones!
SmegmaLung can’t be abidin’ with Biden, and settling for merely getting her hair smelled. SmegmaLung wants to get back to having her pussy grabbed good and hard, by Der TrumpfenFuhrer!
TDS-addled spastic asshole gets flagged
This is a good sign for America.
You have the right to bear arms, and you have the right to defend yourself.
None of those things go away because you found yourself in a riot uninvited, or your attackers had the right politics. And it’s shameful for the people who think otherwise.
Uninvited? Do they send out an email with an option to reply RSVP? Or is it more of a ‘save the day’ kind of thing?
The FBI will usually contact you with some compromising information, and then request that you show up and bring all your friends, along with a list of their names, addresses, cell phone numbers and social media accounts. They'll also request that you read from the provided script.
Apparently there’s some sort of list of who’s allowed to be at a riot, and apparently anyone who isn’t a leftist revolutionary isn’t invited.
The FBI vets the guest list very carefully.
There is no organization. However, if you are invited, you'll know.
It’s just an idea, really.
There’s too much virtue signalling in this post for me to get past the 1st sentence. Too long and too nauseating. Are you running for the position of the king of Reason.com comment board. If so, I think you’ve won.
"too much virtue signalling"
*tips pussyhat*
I feel your pain, loser.
“Too long and too nauseating.”
It’s fucking six lines long.
No one ever accused AmSoc of being intelligent.
Hey traitor, better watch yourself next time you go rioting. You might just end up getting Rittenhoused.
YES!!!
Pretty rare occasion when I feel proud of the American justice system but this is one of those moments.
I really don't. It's blatantly obvious that this is a case of self-defense. I'm not proud of my dog for finding his food bowl, it's the bare minimum I expect.
The prosecution's many violations in this trial make me ashamed of this system unless they face some manner of sanction or reprimand. The stuff they pulled in this case was farcical.
The stuff they pulled in this case was farcical.
It was disappointing the judge kept pointing out their utter dishonesty but then letting them off the hook.
Marshal, it is not over yet. I don't think the judge is quite done with the prosecution yet.
We'll see but that seems like wishful thinking to me. I think the judge is most likely to say this is over and move on. At best he remembers this guy, but pushing misconduct charges is hard and he's shown no inclination for making hard decisions.
A lot of prosecutors in general need an ass-kicking.
These need to be fired and brought up on charges.
Prosecution pigfuckers likely will see no negative consequences, and will be back to trampling some other defendant on Monday.
At least this trial kills the chance that either of these assholes will be able to win an election, which is what the 50% of prosecutors who don't want to go into private practice always desire.
I think it's possible that the judge was anticipating an acquittal, and hoping that it would eliminate the need to declare a mistrial.
It's not so much not calling a mistrial I fault him for, but his refusal to correct the prosecution on the law and other rulings.
Well the case never should have been charged so I get your point. Still got some justice in the end thanks to the jury. The judge had motions for mistrial that he may have ruled on had the verdict been other than not guilty. Looks like he made the right decision because mistrial without prejudice would have given the corrupt prosecutors another shot. Mistrial with prejudice would have been the end but he'd have to set aside the verdict which would have sent the lefties into a frenzy. The judge could still impose sanctions on the prosecutors and obviously should. We shall see.
Yes, the jury was conflicted, but did the right thing. That is something to rejoice.
The jury has tremendous courage in doing the right thing. I hope they stay safe, the Antifa and BLM terrorists will be trying to kill them.
And you did note the judge's demand that no one from MSNBC be allowed in the courtroom after a reporter - supposedly a contractor according to MSNB after the fact - attempted to get pictures of the juror's yesterday?
Reminds me of a trial an underling of mine got selected for jury duty for. It involved Richmond gangs and, lots of gang banger testimony. The charge was rape.
She said each day she would go out to her car in the parking lot to eat peacefully and try not to cry and get depressed because of the gangster lifestyle she was learning about through testimony each day where rape was accepted as just part of the life by both the males and females involved. And, some of those gang bangers that were providing testimony, would come right up to her car and glare at her.
She was scared shitless that she or some member of her family would be paying a serious price for her selection to that jury panel.
"...supposedly a contractor according to MSNB after the fact..."
MSNBC didn't do it and they won't do it again!
In the end, it had to be charged, or the left would have gone berserk, and claims of a coverup would have lived forever. With this outcome, there is the argument the due process was followed and that a verdict was reached.
As it is, the left will "reee" for decades.
What A Thinking Mind said. This entire thing was awful, and win or lose, the precedent's been set that if you aren't a more equal animal, don't get involved defending yourself, others, or your property from the Mob.
This should never even have reached indictment, never mind this four days of deliberation farce. And Binger should be disbarred.
I'm glad Kyle was found not guilty. But it should never have gotten this far.
Let's see how the peaceful protesting goes.
I'm glad there's nothing near where I am at the moment, or will be over Thanksgiving.
Though the fact that it's really fucking cold in Kenosha right now may spare them a repeat.
Yep.
This case never should've gone to trial.
Charges never should've been brought.
Just because the worst injustice wasn't done, there's still been a great degree of injustice.
Reminds me of the early days of the Spanish Inquisition. If the accused did not break and admit to heresy within the first 7(?) days, he was given a white robe and a donkey upon which to ride out. Of course in the later days of the Inquisition, they just kept at it until you died. If you didn't break and admit to heresy, you were still dead. I can honestly see our system of justice adopting that mode of operation.
You forgot. They took all of your money and worldly possessions first. In the beginning and the end.
The Church was (and still is) a terrorist organization.
All these problems go away if we get rid of the democrats.
Never should have gotten to the jury. Chickenshit judge washed his hands of it and got lucky with a jury with a modicum of integrity.
JNOV, or Judgement as a matter of law for acquittal, can be overturned by an appellate court. A not guilty jury verdict realistically can't. I understand why the Judge held off on declaring a mistrial.
Yeah, I think the judge was smart to do it the way he did.
Jury verdict better than mistrial in a macro sense.
Mistrial would've maintained the left's bigoted, psychotic narrative. Jury verdict makes that just a little tougher, though it won't stop them.
It won't stop them for rioting, burning and looting with impunity. And, armed "for justice" at the same time.
Viva la revolucion!

It's already not stopping Nadler the nadhead.
Justice still not served due to the manage gross overreaches by the prosecution. It's important that people have faith in the integrity of the process and it's the job of the prosecution and the judge to maintain the rights of any defendants in the criminal justice system.
This system was put under a spotlight and it's shown that justice and integrity are lacking. Now it's time to investigate ADA Kraus and ADA Binger, not because they were wrong about Kyle, but because of the many violations during this process.
Agree but the jury saw through the game and rose above the bullshit.
Only because they had play-by-play video that unambiguously showed an act of self-defense. Rittenhouse was acquitted in spite of his lawyers' performance, not because of it.
Actually, having him take the stand was brilliant. The jury got to see a human face not anything like the prosecution painted him to be. Continued silence would have allowed them to accept the prosecutions character assassination without serious consideration and eased their minds if they found him guilty.
I say this from jury experience where I have both heard defendant testimony and in cases where I have not.
Juries should have the right to not only find the defendant innocent, but to punish the prosecution for being so wrong.
Prosecutions should be something of a bet, where overcharging to encourage plea deals should be punished. 1: you cannot drop charges once filed. 2: if the jury wants, they can boomerang excess charges back on the prosecution. 3: Loser pays; if the prosecution has such a lousy case, they need to pay the successful defense.
Yeah I'm glad for the verdict, but the prosecution should have their balls in a sling for the shit they tried to pull, and the judge just kept letting them off time after time. The charges never should have been brought in the first fucking place, and Kyle is extremely lucky the pros were such unlikeable assholes.
What was the point of the conservatives pounce? When do they support violation of rights in a court room? Would love to see that cite.
It’s what they’re paid to say. That said:
And this time it was Reason who railed against law enforcement, depicting their handling of “X” as a violation of rights. One hopes they will continue to apply that healthy skepticism to the prosecution of citizens arrested for their involvement in January 6th.
The point was that cocktail parties matter.
I'll say this in Binger's defense-- the man was just doing his job. He and Kraus simply fucked things up from the get-go.
I disagree. Their job is not to charge but to dispense justice. They pulled every dirty trick they had knowing they had video and their case non existent.
Plus Ten.
Defense Council is beholden to their client. Prosecution is beholden to the truth.
The prosecution is beholden to the state, truth or not.
Yes. This is reality, sadly.
Accidently flagged my own comment

The prosecution is beholden to the state, truth or not.
The prosecution has a lot to answer for, JesseAZ. There is gamesmanship between opposing counsel, and then outright unethical (and possibly illegal) behavior. The prosecution went over the line, IMO.
The justice system, despite it's many flaws, worked. Kyle Rittenhouse is a free man, courtesy of a jury of his peers. Perhaps there is some hope.
Prosecutors shouldn't play games, just the evidence. The jury decides who is guilty, not the prosecution. Playing games means they have a vested interest in an outcome instead of sticking to the facts.
I acknowledge human nature. But the prosecution shouldn't be unethical to win.
Gamesmanship is the flaw in our judicial system.
If people want to act, they should find employment in the entertainment industry. There is no room for acting in the legal system.
And yet, that's exactly how it plays out these days. The best actors generally get the verdict they seek.
Truth and justice get shredded along the way.
Sure, but this kind of shady shit gets pulled in courtrooms a lot, and the main difference in this case is that there was so much fucking video footage of the event that the verdict should have been cut and dry from the get-go.
If these guys pulled this stuff during a trial where the media was watching their every move, just imagine what they've gotten away with when the cameras weren't on.
Nah. Part of his job are his ethical duties. He took a gigantic shit all over them in this trial.
Hopefully, he's fucked up enough that it becomes his name on the indictment. Which is how you know you've really lost the case...
Nah. Part of his job are his ethical duties. He took a gigantic shit all over them in this trial.
We are talking about lawyers here, right?
Amorality is great. Isn't it?
Again, I'll repeat--the ONLY reasons Kyle is walking here are 1) the massive trove of video evidence, and 2) the own-goal after own-goal by the prosecution on live TV.
If this trial had been closed to video, I'm not that confident that he'd have been acquitted.
I'm pleasantly surprised the jury had the cojones to do the right thing in spite of the obvious threats from the Mostly Peaceful.
Yes, that's why I predicted a hung jury. I felt sure at least one juror would succumb to the threats. I hope they'll be alright.
Indeed, if anything happens to them no doubt the media will do their best to cover it up.
I mean to say, cover up who the perp was. Of course they'll want prospective jurors to know what will happen to them if they vote "wrong".
That reporter yesterday was doing his best to expose the juror's identities to one and all.
And the left says that the right just blows their dog whistle......
Good on this jury. I wouldn't want the job although I would have been forced to reach the same verdict. Takes a lot of balls and they did the right thing.
Justice has prevailed, and now these jurors will have giant targets on their backs for quite some time for fucking up the Democrat’s narrative.
The retribution will be terrible, I’m afraid.
The hypebeast is fickle. If the jurors stay out of the news for a few days, there'll be some other fresh outrage to distract the Mob.
Progressives everywhere are mortified to find that you can still get a fair trial in this country.
Some times.
It's sort of like the election results in Virginia!
They brought out all their big guns. They accused the Republicans of being racists. They had the full media railing against the Republican.
And the Republican won anyway.
The progressives did everything they could to make this verdict go the other way. President Biden weighed in against the defendant. The news media nationally misrepresented the facts. Hell, MSNBC, apparently, may have tried to intimidate the jury!
Didn't work.
Justice prevails.
After two games in the series, America leads the Progressives, two games to nothing.
And the progressive farm system WI doesn’t have a fresh arm to call up.
The Republican in VA is a former co-CEO of The Carlyle Group. Youngkin's party designation should really be U, or G.
It's not like VA just elected a soulbrother of Rand Paul. Still probably better than the alternative, but let's not throw a victory banquet yet.
"...President Biden weighed in against the defendant..."
One of the pundit channels claimed he could be sued, and few things would put a bigger smile on my face.
Yeah, they're all gibbering on Twitter about teh White Supremacy. Apparently when the magic phrase "White Supremacy" is used you're not supposed to need actual evidence a crime was committed.
They tried their best to intimidate the jury--every night on the news.
Didn't work.
It was the only card they had to play.
May have even backfired. if I were on a jury and the nightly news was full of stories of one side trying to dox me, I'd be pissed as hell.
I believe the O.J. verdict was a reaction to the Rodney King police brutality trial, and I suspect this verdict may be more of a reaction to the riots over the summer of 2020 in the area. The progressives acted like anyone was immune to the rule of law so long as they were rioting in the name of Black Lives Matter, that whole summer, and if the jury was displaying any kind of bias in this verdict, it may be a lingering resentment towards the progressive media and progressives generally for gaslighting over the course of that summer.
Remember when using the word "riot" was considered a cancel worthy offense? Remember when asking why any particular governor didn't call in the National Guard was considered an irredeemably racist offense? Remember when seeing whole downtown districts in flames was evidence of a mostly peaceful riot--according to the news? I bet the people on that jury remember. I bet they had a hard time forgetting it, and when they saw the same evidence we did, they saw it within the context of a situation where neither the media nor the government were doing what they were supposed to do.
It's easy to see Rittenhouse as innocent from that perspective.
The puzzle is why it took them so long. I have seen reports that the forewoman was a Karen who was bound and pre-determined to convict, which would explain the long delay.
"... I have seen reports that the forewoman was a Karen who was bound and pre-determined to convict..."
From experience, to anyone who may become a juror, be very suspicious of someone, who puts themselves forward as a foreperson.
In my case, the woman, who did so, later went to the plaintiff's lawyers and testified against what we had decided, and got them an appeal.
If only we could do something about those damn progressives. They ruin everything.
Isn't that the lesson the right-wing will take away from this? There *is* something they can do. Get a rifle. Take it to a liberal protest. Kill liberals in "self-defense."
If the protestors credibly threaten one's life or limb.
Fuck around and find out
So youre just ignoring who attacked who. Gotta defend your pedos, convicts, and arsonists if they are on the left i guess.
The most common motherly statement when some thug gets killed in one of the gang infested haunts in the SF Bay Area:
"He was a good boy. He didn't deserve this. He was turning his life around."
He did turn his life around. No more crimes were committed by him.
Hey, shawn dude! Stuff it up your ass and take a deep breath.
"Isn't that the lesson the right-wing will take away from this? There *is* something they can do. Get a rifle. Take it to a liberal protest. Kill liberals in "self-defense."
Because you're against racism, doesn't give you a right to loot a city, burn it down, and attack random strangers. Someone might learn that lesson on the left.
Sorry Ken. If you're not white or, are a white progressive supporter of the non-whites, you get a free pass to do as you please.
I live this every day in California.
Does anyone think these formerly prosecuted violent felons were really out there because they were "against racism"?
Or just saw an excuse to commit damage on the society that demands they be more civilized than for which they are capable?
Works for me.
Yes sarc. The poor progressives are what we should worry about.
"Why do people call me leftist?" - sarc
Ken has informed us that none of them believe in justice. He knows that because … they are evil.
What are you trying to say you weasel?
Like I said, had we been shooting looters on sight at the beginning of all this in the summer of 2020, we'd never have ended up with the riots in Kenosha.
Here, where looters HAVE been shot on sight for being worthless fucks, looting doesn't happen much anymore.
I hope these events make it clear to Americans that the democrat marxists are no longer something that can be tolerated if we value our freedom, and even our very lives. Whatever it takes, they have to go. No more democrat party. No more marxists allowed to run government, industry, the media, or anything of importance.
"...you're not supposed to need actual evidence"
I believe that is the whole point of CRT; you don't need actual racism to claim racism
In fact, demanding evidence is exactly the kind of thing a racist would do.
Rewriting history is the first step to nirvana.
Christ- did you read the Newsweek story about the "controversy" of the Judge?
* He has God Bless the USA on his ring tone
* He asked for applause for veterans on veterans day
* He made a dumb dad joke about Asian Food maybe being delayed on one of the boats from Asia.
For this, he might as well have been dressed in a white robe.
The Asian food was cursory to the joke. It was about any food being delayed due to supply chain issues. They just happened to be eating Asian food for lunch.
Yeah, but can you imagine outrage if they had ordered German food?
Or even worse, soul food?
Seoul food is Asian food.
What about Popeye's? Bad? Sorry, never mind
It wasn't God Bless America, it was "Proud to be an American."
Also, he's bad because he yelled at the prosecutor for violating the defendant's 5th amendment rights.
Lee Greenwood's "Proud to be an American" has become an alt-right anthem. Whether he's politically aligned with the alt-right or not, something like that gives the impression that he's not impartial. It's a rookie mistake.
So we are defending the the notion of guilt by association?
Greenwood's song is tainted because, allegedly, "alt-right" people like it?
Alt right also speaks English. Shawn also is.
OMG! Therefore, Shawn is alt-right!
I see how easy it is now.
Hey you used deductive reasoning! Goose-stepper!
If the "alt-right", whoever they are, start singing Jesus Loves Me, and Christians don't stop teaching it to their children immediately, does that make Jesus Loves Me racist, too?
Use your think bone if you don't want to be mistaken for an NPC.
“Use your think bone if you don't want to be mistaken for an NPC.”
I don’t think he cares about that.
*cha-ching!*
Remember. Being proud of your country makes you all right according to the idiot left.
"Lee Greenwood's "Proud to be an American" has become an alt-right anthem. "
Only in your fever dreams, Shawn. You don't get to declare something off limits because of your lefty worldview.
Rookie mistake? The judge has been in office since the late 70s and was appointed by a Democrat.
Lefties just consider it to be a dog whistle, one that they can inexplicably hear, too.
But of course, they don't respond nearly as well.
It's also a song that old dudes who are proud to be Americans like.
It was really popular during Desert Storm.
Imagine Schwarzkopf trying to lead the woke garbage the Biden has surrounded himself with.
Gives "OK" sign. Oops sorry that's racist. I'll get back in my pick-up truck (again racist) with it's country music playing (more racist) and try to get to work on time (racist and racist). I'd admit to being white male but you probably assumed that, which isn't racist somehow, but is bad for me.
No, it’s just a popular song among Americans. But I can see where leftist traitors hate it. Leftist traitors like you. Who really aren’t American at all. Which is why you hate it so much.
Or even that any non-whites were actors in the event.
you can still get a fair trial in this country
Only if you have play-by-play video showing unambiguously what happened. The jurors simply believed their own eyes over the prosecution arguments.
With the media the way it is now, I wasn't sure it was still possible at all!
And the folks who burn Kenosha again will be changed with nothing.
We can at least hope that more of them will be shot this time.
Reason, when did Ashli Babbitt point a handgun at the guard or beat him with a skateboard?
Trespassing.
Public property.
‘Nuff said.
She didn't show proper fealty to the lying media and corrupt politicians who told her Biden totes won the election, fair and square, thus she deserved to die.
This sucks all around. Not saying the kid should have been convicted. However in my opinion he should have stayed home. That doesn't excuse people attacking him. Had they not then they'd still be alive. Though had he stayed home they'd be alive.
How the fuck does it suck to be found innocent for self defense?
Take the L like a man, and sober up.
He claims to be a libertarian but won't say he shouldn't be convicted for obvious self defense. Or for the egregious abuses by the prosecutor.
"Why do they call me a leftist?" - sarc
His imagining of Ken's "final solution" is truly a sight to behold.
Spoiler alert sarc: Ken wants dems to never win elections, not exterminate them.
How do you stop them from winning elections except by stopping them from running Party members and by stopping them from voting?
Can you not see the difference between "to never win elections" and "stop them from winning elections"?
No. No you can't. You read what you wanted to read, not what was written. You will similarly misread this comment.
You mean the same way it's been done before? Like winning an election?
Gosh that was easy.
Don’t go out in Kenosha tonight you weasel autist.
Before he muted me for taking his words to their logical conclusion, Ken was writing pages and pages about how Republicans are "mere" authoritarians while Democrats are evil totalitarians.
He's down with using authority against his enemies.
And you're down with forcing honest people to stay home while the Burn Loot Murder squad roam free, as if it's immoral to defend your property or your self.
Remember how 2 days ago you claimed you didn't single iut people. Yeah. Youre a habitual liar.
" Ken was writing pages and pages... He's down with using authority against his enemies"
Condemning fascists for fascism isn't "using authority", you extraordinarily stupid burke.
Besides, you're the one that's saying "Republicans are "mere" authoritarians", not Ken. You're putting your words in his mouth and then arguing against it.
Let's even assume that's true.
That's still leaps and bounds above extermination. Equally, as the poster has argued before, it's a lesser of two evils choice, not a desire to see his enemies dead.
You're just projecting because Ken muted you.
I thought everyone muted that amazingly dumb asshole.

Sounds like he is taking the L. Of course, he never said he was on the side of convicting Rittenhouse in the first place, so it’s not his L.
Of course, if they’d stayed home, instead of rioting, they’d be alive as well.
I agree. They didn't need to riot. He didn't need to be there. They didn't need to attack him.
There was a whole lot of stupid going on.
There's a whole lot of stupid coming from you too. If someone attacks my business, my home, my community, I have every right to defend it and myself. The original sin is with the Burn Loot Murder squad, not with Kyle Rittenhouse.
"I agree. They didn't need to riot. He didn't need to be there. They didn't need to attack him."
So of course, the real tragedy was that the government abdicated its self-proclaimed duty to protect the peace. Having failed to do that, people are going to have to negotiate The Peace between themselves.
So I do want to be clear, sarc: The tragedy was the State declining to fulfill its assumed duty. That a kid felt he needed to help protect his community with a gun may have been poor judgement, but the tragedy- the real shitty situation- is that the State put him in that setting.
And then the double down on that tragedy is that the State- having abandoned its self-proclaimed duty- then decided to wade in after the fact to adjudicate who ought to be punished when the STATE's actions bore fruit (i.e. people settling the peace between themselves).
That is the tragedy.
Mind you, I still think it was poor judgement that a boy went out to fulfill these duties. But that wasn't the tragedy. The tragedy was that those duties had been abandoned and then selectively adjudicated after the fact.
I understand your point, though I don't totally agree with it. What were the cops supposed to do? I'm got no love for law enforcement, but what were they to do? Gas? Water cannons? Rubber bullets? They were in a lose-lose situation, so they chose to stand down. In their shoes I probably would have done the same thing.
Gas? Water cannons? Rubber bullets?
Yes, yes, yes. You can't allow people to riot - full stop.
I am completely amazed that the inky 2 sets of cops sarc won't rage against are the Capitol Police and the Kenosha police.
What are they supposed to do???
Put down the rioters any way they see fit.
Of they were trespassing shoot then in the head. You defended that action vs babbitt.
What the police can do is non lethal munitions to disperse. What the town can do is charge arsonists and rioters.
Your solution seems to give up and charge those citizens who defend themselves. So go fuck yourself.
"In their shoes I probably would have done the same thing."
Ok, then the government shouldn't be going in after the fact to choose who is "in the right" in those situations. They stood down, so they need to accept the natural consequence of abandoning law and order- people are going to burn down property, shoot at each other and kill one another.
But let's- again- be clear:
If Rittenhouse had been there, but the Rioters had not been there (just protestors), there would be no deaths.
It was the RIOTERS choosing to be there that led to the deaths, not Rittenhouse's choice.
Sarc would want to be in their shoes. His would be all wet from pissing himself.
Sarc seems about as emotionally stable as Rosenbaum
Well put.
The tragedy was the State declining to fulfill its assumed duty.
If only there were a legal mechanism by which brave citizens who keep firearms in their homes could carry them in the streets, together as a group, to keep the peace (and keep each other honest). It seems like the kind of thing that might be necessary to the security of the free people of Wisconsin during a riot. Heck, it would be a good idea anywhere in the country.
I wonder if anyone has ever written anything on the subject. I will have to do some research.
Sounds like a great idea. In all the ideas I’ve heard about natural rights, I’d probably put this second on the list.
Are you saying they didn’t have a right to riot?
If you're driving along and you hit a parked car, the accident is your fault and you pay to fix it.
If you're driving along, and you hit a parked car that's parked illegally, it's still your fault and you pay to fix it. It doesn't matter that the car shouldn't have been there.
This case was never about who should have been there or who shouldn't. Why bring it up?
Why bring it up?
Because sometimes the lesson people never learn is that the entire situation could have been avoided with a little common sense.
Should follow your own advice.

About the only thing I miss about working in restaurants was access to drugs. There's always a dishwasher slinging weed and a waiter with nose candy.
Trying to protect a town where your family lives is not something to shame. Youre being ridiculous.
And even with that he was the one attacked. Do you even understand that? Are you aware the rioters fired the first shot in the situation? Did you even bother learning what evidence there was or watching the video?
Youre only butthurt because you think conservatives get a win from this. Youre too far broken to understand this is a win for self defense and legal rights.
Yeah sarc...like don't chase after a guy that has a gun? That seems pretty obvious
“Man uses unopened Beast Ice to attack person lawfully carrying a firearm and is shot. The attacker said that while he is upset that he was shot, he is more despondent over authorities confiscating his unopened beer as evidence.”
Nobody should ever have beast ice forced upon them.
Super duper Darwin Award for these douchbags.
I mean, if Herman Cain “deserves” one for dying of cancer while unvaxed……
Right, mike?
He killed a convicted child rapist and a domestic abuser. Good riddance!
Yeah, he knew that at the time.
Mike Laursen knows it now, and it makes even more sad and angry
Yep.
Though had he stayed home they'd be alive.
Objection, it's impossible to know this. Rosenbaum worked his ass off to attack and provoke people who had guns all night. We don't know that he wouldn't have found someone else to aggress against and also start shit.
Good point. He might have found another seventeen year old kid who was also completely unprepared, untrained, and out of his league, to provoke and then get himself shot. That totally justifies the kid being there. Totally.
Untrained??? What the fuck sarc. He has better trigger discipline that the cops you always rant against.
Go fuck yourself.
And it’s pretty clear who was out of their league, and it wasn’t Kyle.
He had better trigger and gun discipline than the prosecutor, who knew so little about ammunition that the judge corrected him in front of the jury.
Sarcasmic is very upset a convicted child molester and a convicted woman abuser got the logical and just consequences for their actions that evening.
This is consistent with sarcasmic's disgraceful character.
Nardz moving up the rankings.
Did you pull out to become the color (racist!!!!) Commentator?
Nah. Just breaking the 4th wall.
When should individuals take up arms to defend their community when law enforcement can't or won't?
I don't carry a gun. I'm not a great shot and I lack training. Doing so would be inviting trouble that I don't know how to handle.
So I don't put myself into the situation this kid put himself into.
It just sucks.
I asked a general question, not what you would do.
I don't know. Do you?
Kyle's was a good example, in my opinion.
What was good about it?
He had connections to the community, knew LE was overwhelmed, and only opened fire after being attacked.
Would he have been attacked if he wasn't armed? I know that's stupid, to attack an armed person, but didn't the kid create the situation?
What’s not good about killing pedos?
"Would he have been attacked if he wasn't armed?"
Are you really suggesting that a person is LESS likely to be attacked if they aren't armed?
"but didn't the kid create the situation?"
Holy crap...you are actually doing the "she shouldn't have dressed provocatively" defense.
Even IF a person is more likely to be attacked while holding a gun (and that seems to fly in the face of any common sense), that doesn't mean they CAUSE the attack. The attack is completely the volition of the attacker. The tragedy such that it is could have been avoided at EVERY point up until an attacker decided to grab that young man's gun.
Holy crap...you are actually doing the "she shouldn't have dressed provocatively" defense.
What am I defending? Shit. I agree with the verdict. The kid put himself into a shitty situation, he was attacked, and he defended himself.
I know this is blasphemy, but I don't see much of a difference between Rosenbaum and Saint Babbitt. Both dipshits who got themselves killed.
It took 20 posts for sarc to say he agrees with an obvious verdict only after saying how much the decision sucked.
And then switched to virtue signaling about babbitt.
What am I defending? Shit. I agree with the verdict.
No, you don't.
Everything you say reveals that fact.
He shouldn't have been there, he shouldn't have done this or that. If he hadn't been there... If he didn't have a gun.
The old guy whose head this same mob bashed in on the previous night didn't have a gun.
The kids Rosenbaum raped didn't have guns.
You don't agree with the verdict.
He was at least the co-creator of the situation.
Not guilty on all counts, White Mike. He was most definitely not a co-creator of the situation according to the law or the fine people of the jury.
Please, tell me more about what I think and believe.
"Would he have been attacked if he wasn't armed?..."
Would she have been raped if her skirt was longer?
Stupid sumbitch makes an ass of himself on a daily basis and wonders why he's held in such contempt.
Fuck off and die.
Seriously, what did Rittenhouse think was going to happen, going out dressed like that?!

You really are a brownshirt.

BWAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!
See? An admission of being a voice in Sarc's head.
I don't understand what you are doing right now. But be it so.
Why do you talk about guns so much if you aren't trained and shotty with them? To make friends? Go get training dumbass.
I don't carry a gun. I'm not a great shot and I lack training. Doing so would be inviting trouble that I don't know how to handle."
Just six months ago you were bragging about buying another gun. You really don't keep track of the bullshit you spout here, do you.
He is a chronic lair. It is endemic to him.
Another autistic trait.
" He might have found another seventeen year old kid who was also completely unprepared, untrained, and out of his league, to provoke and then get himself shot."
I'm pretty sure you aren't TRYING to imply that Rosenbaum could only possibly have gotten himself killed by Rittenhouse, but this statement really seems to be indicating it.
Do you really think that if Rosenbaum chased down and attempted to grab the gun of an Adult, he would NOT have been shot?
Seriously, what would this person who is not an untrained, out of his league" seventeen year old have done when Rosenbaum lunged at him and tried to take his gun?
Your argument is that Rosenbaum was intent on "suicide by cop" or the equivalent, and n matter what he was going to die that night?
His gf admitted he was suicidal.
"Your argument is that Rosenbaum was intent on "suicide by cop" or the equivalent, and n matter what he was going to die that night?"
I'm not making an argument- you are. You are suggesting that if it wasn't Rittenhouse (the untrained seventeen year old) there, Rosenbaum wouldn't have been shot.
I am trying to understand, based on your argument, why you think that is the case. Rittenhouse went to put out a fire, and a mob attacked him to stop, so he ran away. This dude chases after him, and attempts to ambush him and grabs at a gun.
Where in this chain of events is some other reasonable person- a more trained person- going to get out of this without 1) Killing Rosenbaum, or 2) having that gun taken from him and being shot instead?
If your answer is that a "trained adult" wouldn't have attempted to put out a fire, then sorry, we have departed all controlled flight. At that point you are saying that the tragedy was that someone tried to protect property and life of others. That's just not a tragedy if you care about anything like libertarian values.
A reasonable person wouldn't have shown up to a riot with a rifle.
A decent woman shouldn't wear a skirt that short!
Stupid sumbitch now wants to make an public ass of himself hourly!
Fuck off and die, lefty shit.
But reasonable people show up to riot.
Rosenbaum was trying to set a gas station on fire - probably with thousands of gallons of highly volatile fuel on the premises. If Rittenhouse hadn't stopped that, Rosenbaum might have killed himself and dozens of others in a fireball.
Looked like the guy committed suicide to me. He was literally daring people to shoot him on video. Crazy fuck got what he asked for.
I'm glad it wasn't me who granted his wish. I know it's what Nardz and Sevo dream of every morning noon and night. But not me. I don't want to live with that.

Notice sarc also whines regularly about people 'knowing what he thinks'.
I know he's a hypocrite along with being a lying piece of lefty shit.
Well, let's be honest here. If Rittenhouse had come unarmed, trying to stop people from burning down buildings with his hands and persuasion, then he would be dead now.
Though I will agree, it does stink that two men are dead and Rittenhouse is going to have to live with the fact that it was him or them. That's a high burden for even trained soldiers to bear, much less someone who was still a boy.
I think he had noble intentions. Sure. But he bit off more than he could chew.
Apparently not, because he's the one still upright.
I believe it's possible that someone else could have ended the confrontations without deadly force.
"I believe it's possible that someone else could have ended the confrontations without deadly force."
Then the only tragedy is that Rosenbaum chose to attack Rittenhouse instead of this hypothetical Gandhi you envision. And that is a tragedy of Rosenbaum's making, not Rittenhouse. Or perhaps (as I said above) it is a tragedy of the Government for failing to fill the streets with the Police Officers that are trained to "end confrontations without deadly force".
I really think you should take some time to be happy- or even silent- that a kid exercised self defense legally, even if he wasn't part of your Team.
I don't have a Team. I'm on the sidelines, laughing at you.
So fucking delusional.
You're in this thread crying because your child-molesting, woman-abusing allies got what they deserved.
You are sidelined, being laughed at.
BWAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!
"I'm on the sidelines, laughing at you."
Come on Sarc. If this had been a kid who went down to Georgia to demonstrate for voter rights, and some MAGA heads did exactly the same- chasing him down before he shot them- would you really be saying it is a tragedy that this kid chose to leave home?
If not, good for you, I guess. It just seems awfully suspect in my mind.
I mean, if so- if you really said it was a mistake for a kid to go down to GA with a weapon to demonstrate peacefully- then I guess it is consistent. It isn't a good position to take, mind you, because it yields the public space to whomever is the most violent, but at least it is consistent.
If we're going to live in the land of make-believe, it's possible the cops and Nasty Girls could have stopped the rioters the first night, but that's not what happened.
No the rioters who tried to kill him bit off more than they could chew.
I’m saying the kid should not have been convicted.
You can, too. Just recognize reality. You can do it. It’s not hard.
No Sarc, the RIOTERS should have stayed home.
Libertarians for telling people where they can go in public!

You know who else should have stayed home?
Your mom.

Actual answer: humor. That comment has been made a thousand times. But nothing interferes with sarc's desire and ability to be an asshole.
Uruguayan Rugby Team?
Joseph Rosenbaum, Anthony Huber, and Gaige Grosskreutz.
Great Dillinger, now you've gotten Jeff hungry again...
Dumb and Dumber.
However in my opinion he should have stayed home. That doesn't excuse people attacking him. Had they not then they'd still be alive. Though had he stayed home they'd be alive.
"Rosenbaum set a dumpster on fire and assaulted Kyle but, in true libertarian fashion, let's make going out in public a crime." - sarcasmic
It really is an odd formulation of logic.
"had he stayed home they'd be alive."
Had the rioters stayed at home they'd be alive
Had the rioters not started a fire, drawing in Rittenhouse, they'd be alive
Had the rioters not chased down Rittenhouse and tried to assault him, they'd still be alive.
Had the police arrested these people on the previous three nights, they'd be alive.
Had the government moved in to protect property, these rioters would likely still be alive.
Had they smoked some weed and taken a nap, they'd be alive.
A lot of things would have prevented these people from dying. And the really, really, really weird thing is that ALL these other things- from rioters declining to assault people and property to the government doing the job it claims a monopoly on- were things you are SUPPOSED to do/not do. You are supposed to avoid assaulting people. You are supposed to avoid vandalism and arson. The government is SUPPOSED to protect the peace.
But to Sarc, and far too many other people, the real tragedy is that Rittenhouse did what EVERYONE in the country should legally be allowed to do. He traveled to associate with friends. He bore arms. He put out a fire. The tragedy wasn't people violating their duties or others rights...it was Rittenhouse freely exercising his.
SMDH.

Well said, Overt.
had he stayed home they'd be alive
What would be the up side of that?
Though had he stayed home they'd be alive.
Objection. The definitely-not-a-lefty weaselfucker is speculating.
had he stayed home they'd be alive.
"Had they stayed home they'd be alive."
Fixed it for you.
Everyone on the street that night was there in violation of a curfew order.
Here's the thing, I'm willing to bet everyone involved thought they were the "good guy with a gun" (or skateboard) here.
Setting aside Rittenhouse's possession of a rifle underage and his offer to "protect" someone's business uninvited, anyone witnessing the first shooting would have been justified in thinking he was a nutcase with a rifle that needed to be disarmed. If the latter two victims were trying to disarm a shooter to protect people, who's the "good guy with the gun" in this instance?
The fallout from this will be more vigilante white dudes thinking they can get away with shooting protesters with politics they disagree with. That isn't a win; it's an escalation.
Literally nothing you wrote here is accurate.
Yep, everything after ‘here’s’.
Ziminski fired the first shot. Prosecutors charged him with arson to prevent his testimony.
He wasn't underage per the law in Wisconsin for the type of weapon he was carrying.
That's why that charge was thrown out by the judge.
If I see somebody being pursued by a violent individual and that person responds with deadly force, I'm not going to jump to the conclusion that he's a "nutcase with a rifle that needed to be disarmed". It sounds as if you're assuming that anyone who is armed is automatically in the wrong.
It sounds as if you're assuming that anyone who is armed is automatically in the wrong.
No, only the white people. Especially those with scary looking rifles.
Again, even if Skateboard and Handgun dudes were really concerned citizens protecting the peace all that makes this is an unfortunate event. Rittenhouse was legitimately fearing for his life, trying to disengage from the scene of an attack, and they were "legitimately" chasing him down thinking they were defending...the cops he was running towards...from harm.
In both cases the people are in a self defense situation, and there is no villain to prosecute...just two parties with a misunderstanding.
Yes, it is entirely possible for two armed people confronting each other to sincerely believe they have to shoot in self defense. However, when one is RUNNING AWAY from the other, it is clear who the aggressor is.
shawn dud is a lying pile of lefty shit.
"If the latter two victims were trying to disarm a shooter to protect people, who's the "good guy with the gun" in this instance?"
If what you say is true (and BTW, it's not) then there is no prosecutable crime here. It is entirely possible for two parties to both think they are in the middle of a self defense situation. Is it unfortunate? Sure. But if they are both good guys, then there are no villains either, and that includes Rittenhouse.
No, they wouldn't. The first shooting was justified in self-defense. The latter two assailants who were shot were acting out of false-righteousness and stupidity.
No, it won't. The fallout will be more protesters staying mere protesters, rather than turning into rioters. It'll be less false-righteous lefties and anti-gunners thinking they can attack people they disgree with simply because the person is armed. It's not an escalation unless the anti-gun protesters make it so.
I can understand how the latter two may have thought they were trying to stop and disarm an unlawful shooter. But, they should get their facts straight first. One cannot, in most jurisdictions, effect a citizen's arrest unless one has personally witnessed the act.
" The latter two assailants who were shot were acting out of false-righteousness and stupidity."
I'm guessing they wer caught up in the mob / assumed some degree of safety in numbers. They also don't strike me as rational analysis kinda people. More like their whole lives amounted to not much more than dealing with the consequences of their own irresponsibility.
Some mistakes you only make once.
They behaved like fucking zombies.
"Hey- that guy with a rifle who's running away just shot somebody!"
"Oh shit- let's chase him down and attack him armed with just a skateboard and our bare hands!"
"I've got a pistol, I'll run up on him and get real close. If he points the gun at me, I'll fake surrender for a second then point my gun at him and try to shoot!"
Of course, that's more thought than the leftist zombies put into it. They just saw a kid with a rifle running away and thought "get him!"
There's literally a trial going on right now about 3 guys who were trying to detain a guy they thought was a criminal and ended up killing him.
I think most people believe those 3 are guilty of at least manslaughter, and probably murder.
Absolutely. I wish the extreme left and right would just go off on an island somewhere and have it out. Leave sensible people to live their lives without all this bullshit.
We'd buy you the ticket, asshole.
Poor, poor 'I'm not a lefty' pile of shit whining that someone defending himself didn't get convicted and then lying about that, too.
Stuff your head up your ass and take a deep breath, asshole.
It’s official, sarc! The jury has ruled that Rittenhouse is a hero, and all teenage boys should emulate him!
A libertarian should be happy that a clear case of Self Defense was vindicated in a court case. But instead Mike is here to start Kulture Warz.
Whenever he pretends to be reasonable and middle of the road, understand that this is exactly who he is- he doesn't want to discuss the issues. He wants to stir up shit.
No, the rioters should have stayed home. This is what happens when they don’t. Too bad for them that they don’t learn lessons.
If you’re looking for some entertainment right now, go to MSNBC. They have an attorney on that just compared Kyle being in Kenosha to someone being in a bank to rob it.
If the narrative don’t fit, you must acquit. And they did.
MSNBC is pissed they were kicked out of the courtroom. LOL!
MSNBC stalked the jury on their way home. I'm not going to allege their motivations for doing so, but that's exactly what they did.
Maybe it was Matt Lauer and he wanted to visit one of the female jurors.

Truly a sad day for American justice and yet more evidence that a black man can't get a break in this system. I say we need to go burn down the black neighborhoods in Kenosha in protest. Whose with me? Attica! Attica! Attica!
Only white people were involved in this incident. It's another case of blacks being underrepresented!
Well jump kick man is black and he got away unscathed. I think he's the real hero here.
What are you talking about?
Total nonsense related to this article.
Lurk more, fag.
Check the web for a local sarc-meter calibration service near you.
I have to disagree with one point. The conservatives have rarely if ever supported these sorts of prosecutorial misconduct. After all, their presumption is that the police are right and that those arrested are miscreants. However, I have never in my lifetime heard support for ignoring the constitutional right to remain silent, withholding evidence from the defense, or open attempts to intimidate the jury.
So, while the hypocrisy on the BLM movement is reasonable (after all, they could use this as a textbook example of the sort of railroading that poor minorities get put through all the time), I cannot agree with your "both sidesism" in this article.
All Reason editors have a “both sides” clause in their contracts.

This trial was literally all about race.
Although the progressive / neocon / corporate / libertarian #Resistance scored a major victory over WHITE SUPREMACY when we helped Biden defeat Drumpf, it's clear there's more work to do. So remember to vote Democrat in the 2022 midterms.
#RaceAboveAll
not a fan of Dr. King?
A+
Before we go too gung ho celebrating the American justice system let us all remember that one of the men who tried to kill Kyle, who was also
in the wrong place at the wrong time*making* it the wrong place at the wrong time by setting a dumpster on fire and illegally carrying a firearm and, who, secondhand, wished he had killed Kyle, was never even arrested... for *those* crimes. Here's hoping we move away from Kyle being forced to pay the part of Rorschach against his will and all of *us* being locked in here with him.
Thank God the jury didn't crumble from rank intimidation.
I doubt he can get it, but he probably deserves some Sandmann money. I know that's considered chilling to journalism, but what I'm talking about was pretty far from being journalism.
I think there was plenty of explicit examples of non-journalistic slander with clear malice. I think if he wants to pursue it, he’ll get paid.
It's all on the twitters.
There are a handful of congress members he could sue. And all their statements are on twitter.
Seriously what about Biden. He was a private citizen when he slandered a 17 year old kid.
I don't think he can be sued while in office, but yeah. And they're about to make another stupid statement.
Bill DeBlasion just made one, calling Rittenhouse a white supremacist, murdered, and a dangerous man.
He can be sued while in office (see: Clinton, Bill), he just can't be sued for what he's done in office.

His imagining of Ken's "final solution" is truly a sight to behold.
Spoiler alert sarc: Ken wants dems to never win elections, not exterminate them.
MSNBC has gone way past the line ... And they are standing behind Joy Reid. She keeps calling him a white supremacist.
I wonder if that crosses from "opinion" to "statement of fact". If so, there's a rich-bitch who needs to be separated from a large amount of her wealth.
I hope he bankrupts MSNBC, and others if possible.

"I look forward to getting in touch with Kyle. He has weathered this trial with grace and I will continue to help him hold the media accountable in any way I can,"
I’d say go civil, but have you seen the Rittenhouse family on TV? Like they have anything of worth. Maybe a plasma TV and some meth, but probably not much else.
It really irks you lefty scum when self-defense is vindicated. Good.
Oh, I thought at first you were talking about the people Kyle could sue.
You mean she Kyle? Yeah, that will never work. But go ahead and watch him get feee publicity while crowd funding his defense.
LOL, I'm old enough to remember when you socialists pretended to care about the poor and the working class. It was a charade of course, so I suppose it's refreshing that you've dispensed with it and now openly show your disdain for them.
Ah, I was too verbose and you beat me by 3 minutes. 🙂
Your verbosity is one of your most endearing traits. Never change OBL.
"Although the progressive / neocon / corporate / libertarian #Resistance"
This is definitely the line of the day
:applause:
I don't remember that. Leftists have been openly contemptuous of regular Joes since Marx himself.
All that money, all the legal proceedings, payments to local DAs and judges, all the money on the grassroots campaigns on Twitter, all the destruction that had to be tolerated... and Kyle goes and spoils the whole thing with, even after ammo inflation, a few dollars in bullets.
Pay your mortgage.

God DAMN. This world would be so much better if every self-proclaimed "socia1ist" would
1. vote exactly how billionaires want them to vote
2. brag about how much money they make
3. brag about how huge their house is
4. ridicule people with less money
Jesus Christ, dude. You're like the ultimate stereotype of a greedy 1980s Republican. But this is the 2020s so you obediently vote Democrat because it's #AbortionAboveAll.
Quick! Say something about Texas abortion laws!

I feel like I don't compliment you enough. So here goes: I genuinely love the way you bring up this identical point, with nearly identical phrasing, over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, in EVERY SINGLE THREAD YOU POST IN.
Promise me you'll do it again tomorrow? 🙂

I'm sure your praise for Hank is sincere but I fear some might read it as mockery. As we all know the origin of libertarianism is our collective revulsion at the enactment of the Comstock Act and the rise of the GOPee. Fortunately the Libertarian Party's 1972 platform set the stage for the resurgence of liberty that we enjoy today.
You nailed everything except mentions of ‘the kleptocracy’ and Herbert Hoover in 1932. Nevertheless, excellent.
Lazy sluts killing their kids isn't actually very libertarian, Grandpa Hank.
Also, do your bodily autonomy arguments apply to those who refuse the jab?
Also, no mention of Comstock?
This sock isn't as fun when it drops character.
Sometimes you can't mock or parody the extremely stupid.
To be fair we were reaching the parody event horizon, and may have entered a satirical black hole if things had continued.
He didn’t drop character. OBL is a democrat-leaning libertarian, not a socialist.
#OBLsFirstLaw
LOL! In a civil trial the character of the fuckers he ventilated will be free game. Nobody involved wants to see that happen. Someone might ask Grosskuntz if he has ever held a job or why he wasn't helping put out fires.
Right. And you have sympathy for them for being poor and disadvantaged, right?
Why cry? Socialism's entire purpose is to put everyone but politicians on the sidewalks with no assets left to forfeit. This goes for the godly Hitlerite national and the midget-godly international socialists... the ones Linelanders call the leftandright.
“midget-godly”
That’s a new one. Keep up the good work Hank, humor is always welcome.
Look at Hirohito and Kim Jong-muun. For all I know, the goon now threatening Taiwan, kidnapping athletes and lying about germ labs is also mebbe four feet tall.
godly Hitlerite national
Sure its still 1992 and the Moral Majority are an enormous threat. Say Grandfather Hank, have you ever heard of Woke and intersectionality?
I've muted him, but it's great that Hank has stopped trying to pretend he's anything other than a totalitarian leftist
Hank should stay off drugs for a week and find reality still there.
Or he could fuck off and die.
Look at that handle -- it has a "one" instead of an "ell". Is this a fraudster, perhaps a bit too close to the original to be recognized as a parody?
It's his IQ.
You're being too generous
I'm in a charitable mood at the moment.
Sic semper Antifae.
You and sarc should rent a half million dollar air bnb.
Rittenhouse certainly has cause for a hell of a lot of civil litigation against the presstitutes who smeared him for the last year. Plenty of lefturd politicians, too.

BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAAAA!!!!
What does reality taste like? I tell you what it tastes like:
Rittenhouse will be able to get compensation.
Rittenhouse will be able to sell interviews and write a book.
Rittenhouse will MAKE TONS OF MONEY.
Rittenhouse is buff and many women will be very interested in him.
Rittenhouse has a bright future ahead of him and each of his family members will soon be richer than your entire family.
YOU. ARE. A. WHINY. LOSER.
Fuck off and die, asshole.
There isn’t a whole family. Dad Rittenhouse absconded, which is part of the reason his son had no adult guidance telling him he shouldn’t be inserting himself, armed, in the middle of a riot.
Sorry your friends got shot and killed.
Good news. Damn straight.
"The right to arm yourself and to protect yourself—these are natural rights that are not granted by the government, they're not granted by the Constitution. They're rights that we all possess."
This is the reason why this case was particularly important. Defense of our lives and our property is a duty that should never be abrogated. The threat of retaliation is the only thing that holds back those who would take what we have.
"God made men. Sam Colt made them equal."
This is a huge win for the right to self defense. It's also a huge symbolic win. Maybe it'll result in a few more people being less scared and more willing to defend themselves and their property against the rampaging mobs.
Getting threatened with 20+ years in the pen, my face being synonymous to a 1/3 of the country with Goldstein the Hated, having to spend six-seven figures to not only get out of jail, but stay that way? Oh, and having two deaths, no matter how deserved, on my conscience?
Nah dude, I'm good. You go and get involved. Still glad Kyle won, but the process is the punishment here. And if you do get involved in the next peaceful demonstration, I'm pretty sure the facts surrounding your use of deadly force in self-defense are going to be more murky than Rittenhouse's.
If you go to a riot, always wear a GoPro. Livestream if possible.
Well, that escalated quickly. Not sure how you ended up there, but k.
^
Sam Colt made them equal.
But Mikhail Kalashnikov made them a lot more equal.
And Robert Oppenheimer made them equal to whole armies.

Oh, was there an article?
I only buy Reason for the pictures.
Which Reasonista was this months centerfold? Was it Robby again?
He has the best hair. I suspect ENB is jealous.
She was going to get a new hairstyle but then aborted those plans.
The right to arm yourself and to protect yourself—these are natural rights that are not granted by the government, they're not granted by the Constitution. They're rights that we all possess...
I think he exhibited very poor judgement in arming himself and then going into that environment with a very visible, modern rifle.
I am confused why Neily is upset Rittenhouse exercised his natural right to arm and protect himself.
He chose to go to a BLM protest to confront protesters in another city and state than his own and, fearing that this confrontation might put him at risk, he brought a firearm.
The key here is that he anticipated that his actions might lead to a need for self defense and rather than second-guess that choice he selected the best weapon for killing anyone that got upset with him.
Like Huber and Rosenbaum, you too will face consequences for assaulting free peoples
Rittenhouse worked in Kenosha. He apparently lives within a 15 minute drive from there. He was given the gun in Kenosha by a friend or relative. He is a local, despite technically living in Illinois.
A liberal that is ignorant of what he’s trying to debate. Never fails
His dad and other family live there. Shawn is ignorant.
‘Killing anyone that got upset with him’
Amd the violent rioters displaying their displeasure by trying to murder KR.
Fuck off and die, steaming pile of lefty shit.
he selected the best weapon for killing anyone that got upset with him.
I guarantee that he could have done just as much damage with a sharp machete. And he would be dead, because Grosskuntz would have murdered him.
Interesting thing is, I'm not sure it would be possible to convict Grosskreutz if he'd shot and killed Kyle.
It would be a toss up imo, even though Kyle had been running away.
It's a moot point at the moment, but I guess would hinge on what he knew and when he knew it.
Biggest problem for him in the attempted murder trial he should face is that he advanced toward Kyle. Don't know how you could paint that as consistent with fear for his own life.
another city and state than his own
That dog won't hunt, lefturd. First of all, he's a local, and secondly, the right to self defense isn't contingent on your location.
-jcr
He chose to go to a BLM protest to confront protesters in another city and state than his own and, fearing that this confrontation might put him at risk, he brought a firearm.
As I am sure you are aware, your first statement is categorically false. Kenosha was "his own". Also, as soon as "protesters" start breaking the law they are "criminals".
In some neighborhoods, not far from where I live, just walking around might lead to my need for self defense.
So, if I get mugged or shot, I guess it's my fault for not anticipating the need for self defense?
Or, would you have me simply stay in the house? A sort of lifelong "shelter in place" order so as not to upset the low lifes?
If Kyle had lit up a joint he'd likely be in the slammer and heavily fined. Looters will be upset that it's open season on them, as in San Francisco in 1906. God's Own Profanities will interpret the verdict as a license to again break out windows and invade the Reichstag to reinstate Gott Mit Drumpf; maybe also to kidnap fertile women for ransom under Texas' nullification of the Reconstruction Amendments. Surely by now the wisdom of voting Libertarian to minimize coercion by deadly force is becoming clear even to regulated teevee watchers.
Shorter Hank: "I'm disappointed this jury was right when other juries have been wrong."
Have they put you in an assisted living facility yet? You shouldn’t be on your own.
Is Kenosha on fire yet?
Riots would not be of benefit to the left this time.
So they will not happen.
They could have mobilized the Guard last time too.
Correct
Not only would riots be of no benefit, they could be a “jump the shark” moment for woke nonsense. They have to be careful here. People are getting tired of it, and the evidence is piling up.
Perhaps I am too optimistic that the tolerance of the toddler tantrums will burn out eventually. We’ll see.
Nope. Only white guys were shot. Nothing to riot about.
Nope. Only white guys were shot. Nothing to riot about.
And yet there's some idiot in front of the courthouse who keeps blathering on about how this is really about persecution of black people.
IS Kenosha burning?
Give it some time. The "community organizers" are working hard to drum up some anger and do some recruiting.
Even the Mayor of new York doubled down on the pretrial lies today.
I don't think the community organizers have the pull w/o significant contributions from their bosses in The Party.
And The Party already achieved the power they used the riots to obtain, so I don't see them ordering any this time.
Not to mention, Biden would be held responsible.
Haha. That’s funny.
George Jefferson’s take:
“Why am I gonna get upset because some jive honkies shoot each other?”
Fred Sanford just called Lamont a big dummy.
Hope they bring ID to identify protestors from rioters. Or white Mike will give you an earful.
Riots incoming... er, I mean mostly peaceful protests......
Paging Kyle Rittenhouse. Kyle Rittenhouse, please pickup the red courtesy phone.
I suspect that Kyle feels like he's done his part in perpetuity at this point. Time for someone else to shoulder that burden.
I don't know him at all, so I'm merely speculating, of course. He survived the trial, but I can't imagine he'd want to grab that particular live wire again.
I just sort of started paying attention and reading about this case..... I don't know why. Maybe because it made the financial channel. Now I read that one of the people took a skateboard to a gunfight? Is that right? You have to take lessons or go to seminars to become that dumb, don't you?
It’s a pretty common tactic by Antifa and other rioters. I’ve seen lots of video of people getting knocked out cold from being hit with a skateboard, but at the same time, it’s not a weapon except when it is, so they can carry it around without looking like they’re armed.
They prosecutors in portland determined skateboards were not weapons early on. So for antifa it became the weapon du jour
Causing rioters to think if they use them to assault people they can skate on any charges.
"Skateboarding is not a crime," after all.
Sk8 or die. One of them chose the latter.
Nice
Pretty sure it was "Sk8 *and* die"
He certainly took the asphalt temperature challenge.
I’ve seen lots of video of people getting knocked out cold from being hit with a skateboard, but at the same time, it’s not a weapon except when it is, so they can carry it around without looking like they’re armed.
There was a college-age Antifag in Albuquerque that got capped during the post-Floyd riots when he went after an armed guy with his skateboard. He lucked out and actually lived through it.
As a Burqueño, I have no idea how I had not heard about that before. Hunh.
How long until the Biden administration puts him on trial for violating the child rapist and woman-beater's civil rights? Like the feds did when the cops who beat Rodney King were acquitted.
Since Rittenhouse was a private citizen and not a cop or other local government agent, that probably won't happen.
But that's why this is all wrong. Private citizens don't need arms nor should they be policing riots. We've got the cops after all.
Remember the start of the Rodney King riots? Remember the cops falling back as soon as they realized they were outnumbered? Remember Reginald Denny being pulled out of his truck and having his head smashed with a brick?
But damn, we've got a police force to protect us.

Alternate headline: "Joe Biden refuses to condemn killer he himself identified as a white supremacist"
The left media is going nuts which we should understand as their effort to prevent its listeners from realizing how the trust they placed in the media was abused for propaganda purposes.
Their audience will learn one of these times…
Don't count on it. That audience hears what it wants to hear, just as much as that media says what the audience wants to hear.
Bingo!
Bias confirmation at its worst. The media that is.

So I guess the rest of the jurors held the Karen Juror's head in the toilet until she finally relented. Good for them. This verdict should have come back in 20 minutes.
Better late than never. Plus now all the lefty tears will be more sweet.
Don't know if there was a Karen on the jury or not, but the 20 minutes part is about right.
Probably not a Karen, but rather a juror justifiably fearful of retaliation. Let's applaud their courage, even if the toilet might have been necessary.
even if the toilet might have been necessary
It is amazing how being subject to even a little violent coercion will sober up even those drunk on the Kool-aid to the need to protect the right to self defense.
Alternatively, all that stuff was a bunch of speculation by conservative commentators who were trying to gin up outrage for clicks.
All we know is that the jury forewoman requested evidence. Was that because she wanted it, or was just doing what you might expect a forewoman to do?
We know that the evidence requested was the key piece of evidence that the prosecution used to INSIST that Rittenhouse provoked Rosenbaum, by pointing his gun at them.
I could easily see a couple of jurors wanting to be sure about whether or not that "provocation" was real. They specifically brought in the video, to see if it really shows him pointing the rifle. And very likely, they then had to explain how that grainy, low resolution video could show provocation without a shadow of a doubt.
I'm gonna stand firm. That should have been a 20 minute verdict. The fact that someone (and primarily, it's the Jury foreman who asks for evidence and can even hold off on asking for evidence if they so choose) was asking for a low res, pixelated blurry video to see if Kyle had "provoked the attack" after the prosecution (known to the jury) invoked provocation as an 11th hour theory tells me that someone was pushing for a guilty verdict, and was grasping at any straw they could to justify it. The minute the deliberation went to the second day, let alone the 4th day, I knew that someone or some minority group was crossing their arms and refusing to budge, and was going to try to convince the rest of the jury that Kyle was guilty.
The typical guidance I have heard is that jurors are often slow to acquit and quick to convict. It seems counter-intuitive, but you remember that the government instructs these people that this is the only time the government will get to try the person for the crime, while the defendant will get many chances at appeal. So juries tend to come back quickly with a conviction, but will review the evidence before acquitting.
Again, I can easily see one or two people who were on the fence because at the last minute the prosecution said, "Look, if he provoked them, it is not self defense."
I agree that these were likely people looking to convict because they didn't believe the kid should be there in the first place. But that said, if I was in a room with those people, I'd have done exactly what appears to have been done: everyone re-watched the video and decided whether or not there was enough evidence there to say Rittenhouse was provoking them without a reasonable doubt.
In any case, it is all moot. The right decision was reached. That's all that mattered.
Twelve angry men?
Well a bigger deal was that it was a contested piece of evidence that came up during trial, the defense hadn't had a proper chance to review before it was in front of the jury, and the prosecution had to change their whole theory of the case by using this evidence.
The case wasn't supposed to hang on this one bit of video because there's no other evidence that Kyle pointed his gun at anyone. There's multiple videos that showed Kyle at that moment and none of them showed him raising his rifle. And even if he did, we don't know what the Ziminskis were doing that might have caused him to do that. And even if that was provocation, he's not required to just die as a result-he ran away until he was cornered between cars and a mob of rioters bashing other cars and he turned around and defended himself.
One look at that video, anyway, the jury should be like, "Yup, the prosecution has to show it 6 times during closing to try to get us to see what they want us to see. Reasonable doubt, the end."
I generally agree with this- though some of the shenanigans of the prosecution were not made known to the Jurors. They just know shit is being presented to them, not all the arguing that we get to see that was presented while they were out of the room.
"This is about leftists being allowed to use violence to achieve their political goals, and whether or not other people can defend themselves and their property from them."
Not my words. I saved this when someone posted it here. I don't remember who said it. It is worth repeating.
Another one was something like "the real scandal was that is being prosecuted..."
Consider all those BLM?ANTIFA rioters who got a free pass even when a young man was murdered in Portland.
The destruction they caused, the people injured and murdered, the economic toll they created should be enough to jail every single one of those rioters.
Kyle wasn't defending his property. He travelled interstate in order to participate in the conflict and brought his rifle because he anticipated the need to use it. (or maybe it gave him a vigilante woody?) At least one of the people he shot believed he was a risk to innocent people and needed to be disarmed. Kyle shot a "good guy with a gun."
Kyle was a tourist, looking to have an adventure with his new rifle. Well, he got one. I'd like to think other kids will see this and think, maybe I won't go to the protest in a neighboring state looking for trouble. But what I think will instead happen is that more incels will show up to future BLM protests looking to bad themselves a trophy in the name of self defense.
"Traveled interstate." He was in the same metro area. You ever lived in a border city? You appreciate the distinction between Kansas City and KCK? You appreciate the difference between St. Louis and ESL? You appreciate the difference between Texarkana (Ark) and Texarkana (TX)?
What an idiotic construct. Completely irrelevant.
Yeah, these dipshits act like he drove six hours to get into some shit. His hometown is literally on the WI border, and Kenosha is a half hour away by car.
Nobody tell this moron about patterns of behavior in NJ re: Philly & NYC. He might have a heart attack.
His hometown is literally on the WI border, and Kenosha is a half hour away by car.
It's close enough his job is in Kenosha. That these are the best straws they could find shows how utterly false their narrative is.
Bc the video so clearly shows KR running away & being forced to defend himself when cornered, all they have is the idea that he shouldn't have been there. Out-of-state line used to imply that he's an outsider who didn't belong & went out of his way to interfere w/racial justice
"...What an idiotic construct..."
Try "appropriate" in the case of tis lying piece of lefty shit.
You apparently fancy yourself a mind reader who somehow knows exactly what Rittenhouse was thinking, but you probably shouldn't quit your day job.
And Grosskreutz was NOT a "good guy with a gun".
Fuck off and die, steaming pile of lefty shit.
His mother’s home was roughly 20 miles away. His father and grandmother lived in the vicinity of the violent leftist rioters. So he had had a real stake in the safety of the community. Whereas the rioters had no business being out after curfew at all. So this is all on the democrat rioters.
KR ultimately dod a great service to this country. Showing everyone that it is ok to stand up to violent rioting democrats.
Do you know one single fact about the case?
He knows he's scared he might get capped the next time he goes out to burn stuff.
Jesus, the fuck you think you are, Professor X? You can read minds now? If so, tell us what Grosskreutz and his buddy Marshall are thinking right now.
"We should have stayed home."
He was friends with someone who worked at that car dealership too. And, it has been said that the friend asked him to join and help.
You can keep repeating this line of bullshit, but it doesn't make it less bullshit when you do.
We get it. You're pissed off that your child raping and wife beating buddies got shot for being arson tourists, and you're worried that it might impact your ability to go burn down black neighborhoods yourself without consequence. But yapping about your imagined motivations for Kyle don't make them reality.
Fair enough. It’s also about a teenage boy getting himself involved in a situation where he was way in over his head, and ended up killing two people and severely wounding another.
You are you pathetic
So, the idiots who pursued him and tried to perpetuate violence on him were not "way in over their heads"? They were reasonable adults who knew how to act under the circumstances?
Did I say that? They were also in over their heads, and also shouldn’t have been there.
Mike Laursen should not be on earth
Pretty sure it was me that wrote it.
My advice to Kyle (not that it matters to anyone, especially Kyle) is going forward, be VERY CAREFUL who you hang out with, who your associations are and how you conduct yourself publicly.
The media hates you and they will go through your trash, they will have reporters following you, following you physically, online, your twitter and social media accounts, everything. You even get caught in a photo near to or adjacent to anyone the media can identify as "right wing, white supremacist, proud boys etc" and they will tear you to shreds. I would not engage in any social media, any public appearances and avoid any associations with any organization or group that wants to hold you up as a hero.
My advice to Kyle (not that it matters to anyone, especially Kyle) is going forward, be VERY CAREFUL who you hang out with, who your associations are and how you conduct yourself publicly.
I agree with you Paul, but I don't think you're thinking broadly enough. Grosskreuz is still walking free and there are legions who are willingly and fully knowingly siding with him and the likes of Rosenbaum in their endeavor. I'd advise making friends with someone currently or formerly involved with WITSEC (if he hasn't already). I don't think it's entirely necessary, but I hear the food in Russian transit zones is passable.
My advice to Kyle and people like him is: stay home. Don't go looking for trouble. Not your town; not your protest.
Look, just because you wanted Rosenbaum to bend you over and push yours in doesn't mean Kyle and anyone else in the neighborhood shouldn't be able to walk in the neighborhood they walked and drove through every day.
My advice to steaming piles of lefty shit is to fuck off and die.
Thanks to Rittenhouse, two of them did. Although I consider most democrats to be too stupid to learn a lesson here.
My advice to you democrats is to crawl back under your rocks lest you get Rittenhoused for being violent rioting pieces of shit.
Take your own advice, a tell your leftist child molesting friends to do the same.
Pedophiles for Social Justice!
Strange how so many of these antifa folk turn out to be pedos...
"Don't go looking for trouble. Not your town; not your protest."
This is highly likely to be good advice, quite often!
Now would someone PLEASE make sure that USA armed forces (and ESPECIALLY their political commanders) get this memo? Especially with regards to "nation building"?
You fucking don't have a clue. Do you!
This is how the system is supposed to work: a jury making its decisions based on factual evidence and the truth. Not giving in to a violent mob thirsting for vengeance, showing true courage in the face of these threats and pressure from the leftist media.
The left of course is screaming their lungs out declaring a miscarriage of justice and promises to set fire to the rest of kenosha.
Let's hope the National Guard presence will be enough to persuade them it would be a bad mistake to do so.
As for Kyle Rittenhouse, I hope he sues the MSM who did their worst to defame and attempt to deny him his day in court.
BLM/Antifa is not going to riot about white guys getting shot. They would lose face.
A blm leader from a neighboring town was just arrested yesterday at the courthouse for violence.
BLM and Rittenhouse supporters were elbow to elbow at the Courthouse. Not surprising that someone got out of line.
Democrats do have a hard time controlling their violent behavior.
Only 2 arrested were blm members. Your initial assertion was wrong. Don't double down.
Black face.
They are in Portland.
Well, ok, so that might just be about anything, really.
Too late. Someone subscribes to the best defense, is a good offense theory.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Did not see this coming - flabbergasted! A jury doing the right thing with the threat of riots, I don’t remember this happening since before the O.J. Trial!
Perhaps (I hope) the overuse of “peaceful protests” has inured the populous to the the threat of the destructive temper tantrums.
You said it right there: destructive temper tantrums. Infantile.
Now give him his Rifle back!
It wasn't his rifle. But I hope the owner gets it back.
That cade continues.
Last I heard, he was going through a trial first. Kyle's outcome probably bodes well.
Again, interesting that the guy who gave Kyle a gun, legally, is facing a trial but we have zero information as to who gave Grosskreuz his gun.
Actually since the gun charge against Kyle was dismissed, I don't know if there's any tenable charge to press against Dominic Black.
948.60(3)(c) This section applies only to a person under 18 years of age who possesses or is armed with a rifle or a shotgun if the person is in violation of s. 941.28 or is not in compliance with ss. 29.304 and 29.593. This section applies only to an adult who transfers a firearm to a person under 18 years of age if the person under 18 years of age is not in compliance with ss. 29.304 and 29.593 or to an adult who is in violation of s. 941.28.
I looked up the statutes the other day. If Rittenhouse was in compliance with ss. 29.304 (short barrels) and 29.593 (persons under 16), then the statute does not apply to Black. The judge dismissed the charge because Rittenhouse was in compliance.
The charges against Black should already have been dismissed.
Yeah, "last I heard". The gun charge against Kyle was immaterial to the charge of providing someone a gun to commit a crime, the full acquittal is. But, as I point out, this is the American justice system. Someone laying out all the facts, under oath, that unequivocally indicate they committed a crime in possessing a gun walks; the person who may've committed a crime will be 'held' for trial until we confirm a crime has been committed.
Amended (*fuck the media*):
This isn't the article I read, but my mea culpa:
felony intentionally selling a dangerous weapon to a person under 18 years old, resulting in death
One charge of providing a weapon to a minor and one charge of providing a weapon that resulted in a death? Two charges for the same crime? Again, fuck you media.
The ACLU has stepped in on Twitter.
Long rant saying this is a failure of the state to protect protesters.
My ACLU would never have gone there.
They claim that police violence chased peaceful protesters to waiting white nationalist militia.

Despite Kyle Rittenhouse’s conscious decision to travel across state lines and injure one person and take the lives of two people protesting the shooting of Jacob Blake by police, he was not held responsible for his actions.
Unfortunately, this is not surprising.

His acquittal comes after our investigation exposed how Kenosha law enforcement used violence against protesters and drove them toward white militia groups, in ways that escalated tensions and almost certainly led to these shootings.

It is far too easy to overlook the impact that violence in defense of white supremacy has on the Black and Brown communities.
Easy to overlook because it's virtually non-existent.
ROFLMAO! How, oh ever how, will the Black and Brown communities survive the death of three white guys?
I thought Blacks were especially hostile to white men who rape boys.
On the down low.
Only two died. The one that's still alive, is owed a debt of gratitude to Rittenhouse. It was his own, incriminating testimony about pointing a gun at Kyle that helped spin this trial into the kangaroo court is was.
https://mobile.twitter.com/ACLU?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor
So, the ACLU is insinuating that Rittenhouse is a member of a white militia?
Wow, that manages to be brazen and passive-aggressively libelous.
I missed when crossing state lines became illegal.
Who is going to tell the ACLU that the Rio Grande is also a state border?
I do love that people who claim international borders are "lines on a map" and should be functionally ignored nevertheless claim to believe "crossing state lines" proves he intended to kill someone.
The fucking continent-sized desert and multiple borders between S. America and TX are just an abstraction that not everyone can be cognizant of, but the slight jog on 128th street (after West North Avenue mysteriously becomes 128th street) that takes you from Lake County, IL into Kenosha County, WI is a conscious decision.
This comes as a surprise to...well...nobody. The ACLU hasn't been anything more than a left-wing propaganda organization for a long time.
Just another Democratic Party Super-PAC these days.
Those dipshits were not "protestors".
Where did they come up with this stuff? They've lost whatever respect I had for them.
F*** the ACLU.
I wrote them off years ago when they tried to force a kid to go to the Soviet Union because his idiot parents couldn't cope with living in a free country. Anyone who wants to support civil rights should donate to the Institute for Justice, and tell the ACLU to go fuck themselves.
-jcr
Hahaha, holy shit, the ACLU is fucking SEETHING over this.
Fuck those commies with a rusty pitchfork.
They're the American Civil Liberties Union and the right to keep and bear arms and the right to self defense are not civil rights. Just like the right to free speech, freedom of association, and freedom of the press. Civil rights are things like the freedom to cross borders and to demand that other people give you free shit and to demand that other people be silenced if you don't like what they're saying.
Fuck those commies with a rusty pitchfork.
The ACLU should be sued for false advertising.
Reason, several years ago, featured a woman who at that time was head of the ACLU (if memory serves) and she gave a bit more than a lukewarm defense of A2, but it seems she was the last voice of CLs in the ACLU.
The ACLU has always declined to support the A2- saying "If we defended the 2A like we defend the 1A people would logically be allowed to have nuclear weapons...That can't be right...Anyway, since you all have the NRA to defend the 2A, it's all good. "
"1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10"
Asking the ACLU to count to ten.
Jen Psaki sighs as Fox reporter asks why Biden suggested Kyle Rittenhouse was a ‘white supremacist’
ROOOOOOFLMAAAAAOOOOO!
Let's go Brandon!
And that's The Independent.
Trump was toxic waste to our international credibility but Biden has been a godsend!
Oh, man, my sides hurt already.
Brandyshit and sarc hardest hit.
"White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, during a press briefing prior to the not guilty verdict being announced in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, said "once it's concluded, I'm sure there will be something we have to say from the White House.""
Unless that something is along the lines of, "My apologies to Mr. Rittenhouse for my reprehensible comment about him. I must have been having a bad reaction to my meds." then they should just have a nice big cup of shut-the-fuck-up.
Oh, see, I pictured a silent "God, I hate this job." sigh, but picturing her having a nice, looong draw off a nice, warm cup of shut-the-fuck-up and... sigh works too.
I would suspect that she loves it. She's a pathological liar. Having a huge stage and getting paid to do it has probably always been her dream job.
Yeah, but a "How did I ever hire propaganda mouthpieces *this* incompetent to do my job for me?" sigh isn't as funny.
"*Sigh* I thought we got rid of FOX news?" probably the likely explanation.
Biden's statement
"While the verdict in Kenosha will leave many Americans feeling angry and concerned, myself included, we must acknowledge that the jury has spoken. ..... bla bla bla"
Note that before that Biden admitted that he hadn't followed the trial. But he's still "angry and concerned" that the jury didn't convict...which is at least consistent with his having declared Rittenhouse to be a "white supremacist" without any actual knowledge as to the truth/falsity of that assertion.
Actually, all POTUS' should drink from that cup on legal matters such as this. It's beneath them.
Psaki psighs
At what point do exile these "people?"
Something everyone seems to have missed. After the verdict and after some housekeeping, the judge ruled on the defense motion to dismiss and dismissed all charges with prejudice.
What's the effect of that?
Smacking the prosecutor on the way out the door?
I really don't know. The issue was moot at the time, I would presume. (not a lawyer).
I wonder if "charges thrown out with prejudice" has a different status from "acquitted on all counts". Presumably he can claim whichever one he prefers now.
But it also means that the judge had already decided what he kept hinting at... The prosecution was over the line, far enough that he was going to toss the case. He just wanted to wait for the jury to bail him out. (and Kyle. Not guilty is way, way better for him)
If nothing else, it's a belt-and-suspenders strategy should the prosecution decide to appeal. He would have to appeal both on the dismissal despite his clear improprieties as well as the verdict itself.
The state can't appeal a not-guilty verdict. I suspect he only held back in case the jury was hung to prevent a second trial. Waiting for the not-guilty verdict should also forestall any civil suits.
Too late. The civil suits have already begun.
Perhaps there might be some professional consequences for the prosecutors to have such a mistrial ruling in their records.
professional consequences for the prosecutors
No such thing.
I imagine he had this up his sleeve no matter which way the jury verdict went, although may have declared 'mistrial only' in the case of a guilty verdict. "Piss off the judge at your own peril," says every lawyer not still moist from law school.
Might also make it more appeal-proof.
Might also make it more appeal-proof.
The state can't appeal a not-guilty verdict. Legally, granting the motion has zero impact. I suspect he was either making a statement of some kind of trying to lend credence to some sort of post-trial action(s) against the prosecutors.
The ACLU is dead.

Prior restraints on publication are presumptively unconstitutional.

The ACLU comes down on the side of the FBI being used to target political enemies and help political allies.
Listen up Reason! You guys flirt with this way too often.
They played both sides. The aclu said the fbi raid was wrong. But apparently using the fruits of that raid and giving it to the nyt is fine.
The aclu is disgusting now.
If Reason had any balls they would back a suit by the Libertarian party enjoining the ACLU from using "civil liberties" or liberty in their name or any communications, or in any way holding themselves out as representing those ideals.
back a suit by the Libertarian party
LOL. Iff the Mises Caucus consummates their takeover of that dumpster fire of a party.
If Reason had any balls
Well, we can stop right there.
Jacob Blake's sister and Huber's girlfriend have been assembled for a press conference - in front of a poster depicting child-molester Rosenbaum, woman-beater Huber, and attempted-murderer Grosskreutz wearing Superman costumes - to give speeches denouncing "the system" for oppressing their community or some such.
It's absolutely insane.

Uh, wut? Once again, my copy of the 1A says "Congress shall make no law".
my copy of the 1A says "Congress shall make no law".
We are just lucky it does not say "shall not be infringed". Then the ACLU would be fine with the Courts, Congress, the Executive, the States, any podunk municipality, and public universities all having a go at it.

Biden is setting the stage with instructions to Merrick Garland to file federal charges against Rittenhouse....
With Biden it's always "do it and screw the law."
I’m getting old. You know why? I’d like to think that back in my day there’d be a teachable moment here. Don’t know why but it’s Matt Lauer that I picture here in an interview with this turd the day after his acquittal. It goes something like: “ML: Now Kyle, do you think you’ve learned something in this whole experience?”
“Turd: Oh yeah, Matt, I’ve learned that it was monumentally stupid for me to go to a protest waving an assault rifle around at a protest I have neither the perspective or maturity to understand. Boy, have I learned that I’m not going to do that again”
“ML: Well, that’s great. Up next: our exclusive interview with Boy George!”
After that they’d be an afternoon special starring— oh, I don’t know, Ricky Schroeder, in an afternoon special entitled “Hey, you know what I’d not going to do again: Smoke reefer or attend a violent rally and act like a vigilante fucking douche”
Those were the days. Nowadays, his actions will be validated by fascist morons who want to start a civil war with the government. Good luck on him learning anything. I miss the 80s.
You are just a bad person. Like, really. Deep down.
Unfriended.
I’d like to think...
Then what's been stopping you all this time?
A lack of brains.
This will fill the heart of rioting scum loser felons with fear. Beautiful.
Pretty good post, but in denouncing Rittenhouse you forgot to mention he literally CROSSED STATE LINES.
#StateLinesAreSacred
#(NationalBordersNotSoMuch)
So did many of the rioters. Probably most of them. As they have in the other "peaceful protests".
Is that all you want? Kyle on TV saying, “Yes, if I had known I’d be charged for homicide for defending myself, I would have just stayed home.”?
Why exactly? So you can be certain Kyle learned from this experience?
I think you’re overestimating how much affect that would have on any National conversation.
I’m sorry, but you don’t get to have your Marxist revolution, and then go howl to the very same government you’re trying to overthrow, claiming how unfair it is that normal citizens who don’t want to turn this country into Soviet Russia showed up and ruined everything.
And you would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren’t for those meddling capitalists and their actual competency at violent conflict.
Pro-tip: a “revolution” that embraces gun control and disarming the people vs the state is actually just sucking establishment cock.
Matt Lauer is an abusive degenerate, just like you.
Yeah, when he includes Matt Lauer in his outrage-porn, that is really on a whole other level.
a protest I have neither the perspective or maturity to understand.
Exactly who has the perspective or maturity to understand a dumpster fire? In fact, 'dumpster fire' has come to mean 'something so fucked up that nobody understands how it happened'.
Sorry your shitty friends fucked around and found out
Sorry your shitty friends fucked around and found out
Uh....what?
You don't give a fuck if Kyle learns anything at all. No, you want ALL Americans to take the lesson: when violent leftist rioters come to destroy your town and beat or kill you, stop resisting!
Fuck off and die, commie shit. But pay your mortgage first.
ML: Now Kyle, do you think you’ve learned something in this whole experience?
Kyle: Oh yeah, Matt, I've learned that it's monumentally stupid and irresponsible for the adults in charge to go around presenting rapists and wife beaters setting fires to communities as peaceful protests. I mean, I was just a kid when I did what I did. And a lot of people say I was some place where I shouldn't be. That may've been true, but even if it is or, more pointedly, because it is what does it say about the adults in charge and running the media that they cover for people making it unsafe for kids to walk down the street in their own back yard without a gun?"
Matt Lauer was acquitted of his rapes?
When the mob comes for you, your house, Your business(as if you ever really worked) May there be no one who stands between you the.
May the police remember you want to defund them, may military remember that you wanted them to hold bake sales, may the individuals like Rittenhouse remember that you wanted them to rot in prison . When the mob comes for you, suck it up.
So, what would his exchange with Grosskreutz look like? He admitted under oath that he routinely went to demonstrations armed. And, he also testified that he'd pulled his weapon and aimed it towards Rittenhouse although he also claimed he didn't mean to point it at him.
One riot, one 17 y.o. with an AR.
Whatever else, KR killed 2 very bad people, vaporized the bicep of another and ENDED the riots in Kenosha (as the authorities finally had to do their f'ing jobs). All in all, he save a lot of injuries, damage and possibly more deaths than two he, personally, accounted for. He did the job the craven governor and policer were unwilling to do.
Like tank man, one person taking a stand can alter history.
USA! USA! USA!
There are those who think that somehow negated his right to self defense. That's the equivalent of saying "If a woman is dressed provocatively, she's not allowed to defend herself from being raped."
That's exactly what it is saying.
There iscthe question of prudence. What is legal to do, may well have foreseeable bad results.
The last time I looked, rioting and looting weren't legal to start with. And, the bad results are verifiably foreseeable.
Do not disagree with that.
Rittenhouse had a right to do what he did. He may have had the best of intentions in doing what he did. But, like in a combat simulation, overextending yourself may be a bad plan.
There are those who think that somehow negated his right to self defense. That's the equivalent of saying "If a woman is dressed provocatively, she's not allowed to defend herself from being raped."
Remember the "If Kyle were a black man." game? Let's play!
If a black man shows up to a Klan rally with a gun, and does nothing other than put out a dumpster fire, he should expect to get what's coming to him. If he survives, we should put him in prison for the crime of being black at a Klan rally while armed.
If you think that's too harsh, remember, the President alluded to the fact that any black man who would show up to such a rally with a gun is a black supremacist.
Touche
Let's see:
- Corporate media are shown, once again, to be composed of subhumans.
- The prosecution and state's conduct further lowers the right's faith in the justice system.
- Most leftists are having a meltdown.
- My pee-pee is hard.
Pretty good!

And my post is exposing the Kirkshit. No idea what your paranoia is.
Oooooookay then... I am sure it is just me. You go cut you off a piece of that Rittenhouse beefcake.
I will wait over here.
What the hell is your fucking problem? Did KAR break you or something?
Oh, got it. The other short bus rider.
You are really fucking dumb. Sorry about that.
I would have posted a link to Kirkshits loser post, but reason isn't allowing me to do that with this sock. I'm enjoying contrasting leftist upside down world with the recent real outcomes.
I mean, after all, Kyle is a real Chad. And will be very successful and sought after by certain thick, conservative ladies. And he will sell a book.
I'm kinda hoping Kirkland had an aneurysm when he heard the verdict.
I would remind all of you celebrating this victory for the right of self-defense that this was a state case. The federal case against Rittenhouse hasn't been brought yet, but that's only because they hadn't started writing one up until about half an hour ago.
I'm unsure if they have the political capital for that. Nonetheless, I wouldn't put it behind those subsubhumans.
That's not funny.
It isn't funny, but it should not be possible. I have no idea what federal laws he could have broken.
But....
Garland is the worst and most political AG in my lifetime. That list includes Holder and Sessions. Holder conspired to withhold information about the "hands up, don't shoot" case in order to help create the riots and Black Lives Matter organization. (Namely, that the whole narrative was a lie.). Go ahead... Convince me I am wrong.
As he wasn't acting under cover of authority and the gun didn't cross state lines and the rioters weren't minorities there apparently weren't any actual gun laws violated, there is limited umbras and penumbras to go looking for a crime (even if they show him the man).
However, even as much as I enjoy this outcome, there remains an eighteen year-old who was afflicted with concussions and contusions; has PTSD; possesses a poor reputation with 30%~40% of America; and must tread carefully lest the subhumans finish ruining his life.
And a big "fuck you" to the ones who asked Kyle et al. to come out and defend their business, but then pretend you had nothing to do with him.
Scum.
Kenosha is a great example of why we need the second amendment.
When defending your life is dangerous, your government will stand down and let you become a victim of law breakers. They will not defend you when you need it the most.
You cannot let such a government pretend it cares about you so much that it’s ok to leave you defenseless in the name of “safety.” Kyle would have been killed by people who were in compliance with proposed strict gun control laws.
Never let a government of cowards disarm you. Someone has to stand up.
And that's exactly why every sane individual needs to be armed; the state will only more emboldened to their raping and murdering of the second amendment after this case.
Kyle would have been killed by people who were in compliance with proposed strict gun control laws.
And one (Grosskreutz) who was in violation of the laws as they already exist.
I’ll come to you the next time ANTIFA shoots a right wing protester spraying mace all over town. Deal?
I’ll come to you the next time ANTIFA shoots a right wing protester
The Antifa dipshit who ambushed one and shot him in the back of the head wasn't good enough for you?
If you actually discover that that happens, if it happens. I’m not sure we could trust the news to tell you.
I feel your pain, loser.
Fuck off and die, asshole.
Kyle would have been killed by people who were in compliance with proposed strict gun control laws.
Killed for the crime of putting out a dumpster fire in a neighborhood he didn't belong in.
When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.
Well, except for during times of civil unrest. At such times, you are more on your own then you ever believed possible. And as scared as can be.
Wanna good laugh?
Watch MSNBC. The subhumans are SEETHING.
SOMEBODY NEEDS TO DONATE A S&W M&P15 TO ALL THE JURORS.
Sue Brandon and every outlet that reklessly defamed you
One of the pundit channels was claiming that calling someone a "domestic terrorist" was a calaim of fact and that Biden could be sued.
The best part of this is going to be watching the coming media meltdown over it. The CCN tears, the "white supremacy" articles. It's going to be so fun
Just watched some CNN. The on the scene reporters are all in... But they also lived the trial so they know the verdict was correct.
They squirmed quite a bit, but they have found their footing.
They are reporting on the poor victims of this vigilante.
They have been down the whole list, talked to attorneys representing the families (or Grosskreutz). There is no justice for the victims.
That is how they have finessed it.
They went through each person who was shot, and never once mentioned any of their history, nor the fact that they attacked Rittenhouse.
There is no justice for the victims.
I happen to agree. Especially in the case of Grosskreuz. He should've been arrested that night. He should've been charged with both crimes when he was arrested for drunk driving a couple of months later. He should've been arrested when he testified under oath that he had a gun in his pocket and his CCW had expired. There truly has been no justice for Grosskreuz(' actions).
Good point. Police had him and turned him loose. He would be alive if they had arrested him as they should have. Same goes for the arsonists and the others.
In fact, if the government had been working for the people instead of for the DNC, they would have let the police do their job and nobody would have felt compelled to patrol the streets with a gun and a fire extinguisher.
And it works. My S.O. and her friends watch CNN and court TV. They have no sympathy for Rittenhouse. They are all in the "he is a racist kid with a rifle who never should have been there" camp. Why? Because that is the only information they know. Even watching the trial, once you have your mind made up, a witness on the stand clearly having a panic attack describing being assaulted by a 35 year old crazy child rapist and having to shoot him is "fake crocodile tears". All the moms who watch CNN believe that. Why? Because their entire one group tells them to.
They watch The View and get reinforced. The Overton window is not from guilt to innocence... It is from white nationalist serial killer to stupid kid who went somewhere he shouldn't and thought he was the police and started murdering people.
I heard one of them " he shot three separate people in three separate incidents! Not all at once!! Of course he was just hunting people!".
This is why this time scares me. I never appreciated the strong effect of groupthink on the human mind, because i, like many of you, am not wired that way. (At least not so much). But the left understands it.
That is why they are so passionate about schools and social media. They know they can get a plurality to believe literally anything with the media, social media and the schools on their team. Germany was an excellent example of what people will do given enough of a concerted push.
This is why you should really be concerned about Garland going after parents at school board meetings and journalists holding officials accountable. If they get enough momentum, it isn't just power in the form of government they will have. They will have the power to shape the mind of a nation. 300 million people will believe anything that the other 300million people around them believe. And if they believe the other 60 million need to wear a yellow star, then you shall be wearing a yellow star.
Don't doubt me. They are mandating vaccines.. Even if you already had the virus. And pushing to do so for 5 year olds who are at zero risk. And watch the team. They believe with passion. When Biden said he would never do a mask mandate.. Couldn't do one.. They were on board 100%. And the second he changed, they changed. When Trump said they would have a vaccine, they didn't just doubt it, they said he was a liar and they would never take a vaccine he put forward. 5 minutes later, you are a danger to society if you don't take a vaccine.
They are dangerous. Not hyperbolic rhetoric dangerous... Actual existential threat to you and your way of life dangerous.
How did you avoid people who are wired to for groupthink? These people ran my schools in the 70’s & 80’s, both of my colleges in the 90s, all of entertainment, and most of the “news” media for my whole life. Heck, Anything is run by a bureaucracy users groupthink more than logic or reason.
Why do you think they make us takeoff shoes at the airport? Not let little girls carry Motrin in high school? These are the same people who brought us prohibition, and killed the prosperity of the robber barons in early 1900s.
I wish we could build some sort of “social lobster trap” for them and get them out of the way.
For me, it happened when I was very very little and going to elementary school. We had a "time telling" test where you'd set the clock to whatever time it was. (Obviously very early in schooling)
When it came time for me to set the time to "4:30", I set the big hand on the 6 and the little hand halfway between the 4 and 5, just the way you see it on the clock. My teacher said that was wrong and the little hand goes on the four. I remember looking at the real clock at that moment and it was 12:45. The big hand was not directly on the 12.
That was the moment I realized that adults aren't right just because they are adults.
I had an assignment in 1st or 2nd grade w/instructions to fill in half the blocks of a rectangle divided into 8 equal sections. So I shaded 4 boxes in checkerboard fashion. Teacher marked it wrong.
My parents were not pleased.
Teacher couldn't count.
Had a similar circumstance: Did an illustration to provide the answer; the teacher wanted direct tracings from the book page.
BTW, in my case, the class was "Health" or something similar, taught by the gym coach: Problem; most of the kids were smarter than he was.
I was long gone when my parents informed me he'd gone on to a masters in ed, became the principal at that school.
Correct as usual, cyto.
Except we're already there. At least halfway. 99% of the left wouldn't bat an eye at death squads or death camps.
I only wish you were wrong. You've truly harshed my mellow today.
The president made an off the cuff statement "respect the jury".

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/heartbroken-parents-of-rittenhouse-victim-react-to-not-guilty-verdict/ar-AAQUTZV?ocid=uxbndlbing
Maybe you should have taught your kid not to try killing others?
Who knew that raising your son to be a worthless, woman-beating piece of shit wouldn't work out well for him?
I do feel bad for the guy. He cannot turn on the news or browse the internet without risking confronting images of his son grasping at the hole going straight through his heart.
Although I find the dad's "blame others first" approach as to how and why his son came to be shot just might offer some insight into how his son ended up the sort of person with his criminal record and who was also foolish/reckless enough to attack a man armed with a rifle in the middle of a riot.
Also, twenty six and still skateboarding?????
"Also, twenty six and still skateboarding?????"
That might explain something also.
Skateboarding, or only carrying the skateboard as a bludgeon?
He won’t be skateboarding at 27.
Like I said..."But, but, but he was a good boy. He was turning his life around."
The thug mother's lament. It's just a way to assuage her own guilt for having birthed a savage like that who finally met his fate.
What the fuck are you babbling about?
Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Awesome setup. 😀
It's the moment you made your handle for! Payoff!
Their son was killed and however much of a bad actor he was in life, it is understandable that his parents cannot see the case dispassionately.
"Democrat wants employers to let black workers take day off after Rittenhouse verdict"
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/democrat-wants-employers-to-let-black-workers-take-the-day-off-after-the-rittenhouse-verdict
Three white kids were shot, so this racist wants employers to give a day off to black workers?
I'm OK with it if, in return, all white employees (and only white ones) get MLK Day off.
All the wankers trying to save face with their lame-ass "he shouldn't have been there" need to back up and think about why this happened. Ultimately, it's because the government--which has one fucking legitimate job--didn't do it. Maybe next time you'll think twice before insisting that rioters be allowed to run amok.
The standard disclaimer is that it's only property and property can be replaced. A human life cannot.
Of course. It isn't their property. Or their life for that matter.
Did you catch the comments during the summer riots when some shop owners tried to defend their own shops about "they have insurance" from the same idiots who say it's only property?
Setting a gas station on fire may result in more than property damage. If it spreads to the underground tanks, the fireball will destroy a whole neighborhood, with considerable danger to both anyone on the street and to those trapped in the nearby buildings.
If I were writing police policies, my instructions for dealing with anyone trying to set fire to a gas station would be to treat it as attempted murder and shoot to kill. But Rittenhouse merely put out the fire. That enraged Rosenbaum and others into chasing him and attempting to beat him or shoot him.
Rittenhouse put out three dumpster fires, and wounded a fourth, that day. Only one of them was an actual flaming metal bin.
Three flaming assholes and one flaming bin!
The biggest lesson to be learned from all of this: don't attack a person holding an AR 15.
There needs to be a Darwin Award ceremony.
Or, at least, if you do, you better be a steady shot and not a drug/alcohol-addled tweaker.
If a guy doesn't display truly foolish judgement at 17, he's likely a timid wimp or just an odd anomaly.
Or both. And named Huber, Rosenbaum, or Grosskreuz.
Isn't it about time for Kirkland to show up and say something stupid like "Even clinging bigots have the right to exercise self-defense."
No, wait. The Rev. doesn't believe that clinging bigots *do* have the right to exercise self-defense. The only thing they have the right to do is open wider. Sorry. My bad.
Isn't it about time for Kirkland to show up and say something stupid
It's always time for that.
I wonder what all those people crying because Rittenhouse wasn't stuck in a cage for the rest of his life (plus five years) think about the Ossian Sweet murder trial. Was Dr. Sweet a vigilante taking the law into his own hands? Maybe he should have waited for the police to take care of things?
Those people support "criminal justice reform" LOL
The real casualty here is that conservatives will never support any aspect of criminal justice reform ever again, because they've seen how leniency is a one-way street
Hey. We're infested with Soros DAs already.
Reminder: the FBI withheld evidence from the defense and then claimed they lost the video evidence when the defense was made privy to the existence of said video.
Bad day for the FBI too. So remember to high five an FBI agent's wife's boyfriend today
Bad day for the FBI too.
Only if you're assuming that anyone at the FBI will ever suffer any consequences as a result. Are you a betting man?
Mad casual makes a really good point above.
All of the pundits at Rikeita law were saying this is the death of Grosskreuz's lawsuit against the city. But Mad Casual brings up the point that the city allowed these people to riot and assault people. if they had done their job, he would be in jail. Not shot. Same goes for the other 2.
Rittenhouse and the others would never have been there. National guard troops would have backed up global police and that would be the end of the riots and arson.
“….backed up global police….”
Brrr, that gave me chill, even though I’m sure you meant local police.
"...But Mad Casual brings up the point that the city allowed these people to riot and assault people. if they had done their job, he would be in jail. Not shot. Same goes for the other 2..."
So in order to allow a suit, the government will have to admit negligence?
This is as good reminder as any that if something like this ever happened to you, it would be conservatives, Trumpists, border restrctionists, right wingers, evangelical christians, and Alex Jones acolytes would rise to your spirited defense - NOT libertarians at the media and academic level.
Did you get any sense that the Rittenhouse and the center right were totally vindicated from this rather detached article? A righteous rebuke on the deranged leftists who gaslit HARD to make a murderer out of an innocent man and heroes out of pedophiles and criminals? Nah. It's "Man rightfully found not guilty, could have possibly handled situation better". Yes, those rooftop Koreans were technically in the right to self defense, but maybe its best for them to not provoke anyone with guns in public. Individual autonomy, hurrah!
Most of you posting here are white. I'm Asian, meaning I'm halfway to white as far as the woke lunatics are considered. What happened to Rittenhouse could happen to any one of you. The woke HR may railroad you if some douchebag person of color makes up charges against you. You're a product of a racist legacy, racism exists in you in some subconscious form, you enjoy all the great benefits of being white, and the only way to address is that is you wash your racism out of you by herding you to CRT and racial training programs.
This is how the American left sees YOU. Not only are they racist in every definition of the term, but they're almost literally that dystopian society you read about in sci fi stories, where the undesirables are rooted out and only those who check boxes are elevated or allowed to exist. You have no business voting for the democrat party. NONE. You shouldn't vote for the LP that lacks passion and vision, but that's better than voting for Biden.
This place displayed more passion in condemning Trump for running some baby crib makers out of business with tariffs. If it's not drugs and immigration, things are played cool here.
Nah. There were a fuck ton of libertarians that supported Kyle. Do not confuse Koch whores with libertarians. These people are trash and have zero influence within libertarian circles. It's not 2008. Michael Malice probably gets more listeners from a single podcast than the entirety of Reason and Cato's circulation. These are relevant people calling themselves something that no one believes them to be. No one is going to be reading old articles from ENB, Shack of shit, and old man in leather jacket ten years from now.
The Jacket mostly seems to still be the same dude. Trump broke the rest of them though. Even my personal favorite.. Balko.
Now the far left Greenwald is more reliably libertarian than my favorite libertarian publication.
" Do not confuse Koch whores with libertarians."
More apt than "free minds and free markets."
There's a free market in their integrity. Well, it's for sale, anyway.
Reason and Cato are the public face of libertarianism
This is an excellent take. The Libertarian media was not exactly in the hanging jury, but they were unequivocally not the crazy libertarian absolutist fire brands one would expect.
"NOT libertarians at the media and academic level."
Correct, they are useless. Even worse, they are a tool of the left.
Great to see justice done. My best to Kyle Rittenhouse.
Therefore, a wrongful death suit or negligence claim is still on life support. They abandoned their responsibility and created a deadly situation.
Yet another case of leftist outrage when non-leftists defend themselves from violent physical attacks by the left.
When will leftists EVER learn: Keep your GD hands off of others and you won't get killed.
Kyle Rittenhouse and Nick Sandmann agree to joint custody of CNN.
This is *great* news. So relieved! Now all other patriotic Americans are free to strap on our AR-15s and wade into commie socialist crowds of those fucking brown-skinned invaders trying to replace us God-fearing genuine white Americans and fucking blow them away if they so much as look cross-eyed at us. This is a beautiful day in American history! I'm proud to be an American, at least I know I'm free!
Do you think that's clever or something? There is no reason to think race had anything to do with it.
You are one evil imbecile
Well, all idiotic assholes are free to spout their lies, idiotic asshole.
""Lock up Kyle Rittenhouse and throw away the key," said Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D–N.Y.), the chair of the House Democratic Caucus, who has dedicated much of his career to fighting mass incarceration."
... because that's how Nazi's roll... The wolf in sheeps clothing.
Kyle Rittenhouse should be thankful he was tried in Wisconsin, rather than New York, where Andrew Cuomo is running for AG. Just imagine electing a man who mocks the jury system, doesn't respect the rule of law and the courts, and is running for Attorney General of New York. That man should only be in court for what he's been charged with, not prosecuting anyone.
Cuomo is running for AG?
Being a career politician is some sort of psychological defect, is it not? He cannot stay away, even though he disgraced himself and his previous office.
Just my two cents...
No, he should've never been there, but of course that isn't illegal. Yes, there are racial disparities in the justice system, but this isn't a good example of them....and that's especially true if you want to compare this to Trayvon Martin. No, the judge wasn't perfect, but there was no reversible error here, and honestly, you can make a good case that this should've never gone to trial.
I'm not sure why we can't, regardless of whatever other discussions we want to have, acknowledge that the law and evidence clearly show the jury got it right. To paraphrase a quote I once heard, "there's real injustice in the world, I don't have time for imaginary nonsense".
"I don't have time for imaginary nonsense"
That's almost everything the proggie news media trots out.
There's always a KKK robe in the wood pile according to them.
Strangely enough, the Washington Post isn’t yet allowing comments on their stories about the acquittal. Probably afraid that the black hole of hate they’d generate would suck up DC.
Funny how that happens on all left-leaning sites (looking at you, Vox).
All they want to do is lie and lecture to you. They don't want anyone to oppose them. It's why youtube is getting rid of dislikes and many sites are getting rid of comments.
Yep. Any site without comments is worthless.
Reason comments can get a bit spicy, a bit hostile, even vulgar - but WaPo commeners are fucking animals.
It pains me to say this, but it was probably the correct verdict. The evidence was not strong enough for beyond a reasonable doubt.
I do hate that this was politicized.
why would it pain you to say that? This was the most clear cut case of self-defense you'd ever see in your life.
You do realize that, in states like CA, this would have never been the verdict. The standard approach to any violence is that we have no right to self defense. Despite what this case has said here.
This isn't a national case. It just depends on what state you're in.
There was a video not shown in trial where he said that he wanted to go and shoot people. He went there with the intention of causing harm. He is morally guilty as hell. And there are truckloads of better self-defense cases.
"There was a video not shown in trial where he said that he wanted to go and shoot people. He went there with the intention of causing harm. He is morally guilty as hell. And there are truckloads of better self-defense cases."
You, as a lying pile of lefty shit are morally far more culpable than Rittenhouse, especially with regard to the lies posted here.
Go die a slow, painful death; we can all enjoy your pain.
I do not understand the MAGAer habit of calling lies on easily verifiable facts.
https://www.cbs58.com/news/kyle-rittenhouse-defense-gets-victory-as-judge-denies-several-motions-by-prosecution-ahead-of-trial
"Another piece of evidence the prosecution wants to include is a video where Rittenhouse says he wishes he had a firearm to shoot people he suspected of looting a CVS store in Chicago.
"Bro, I wish I had my [expletive] AR, I'd start shooting rounds at them," Rittenhouse is heard saying.
The video was taken 15 days before the shooting in Kenosha."
I do not understand why lying piles of lefty shit have a habit of referring to bullshit as "facts" (using the term loosely).
well, actually I do: As a lying pile of lefty shit, you'll offer any sort of hearsay and irrelevance, including your "analysis" (using the term loosely) if you "think" (using the term loosely) it would help your bullshit.
It doesn't; fuck off and die, you pathetic excuse for a human being.
BTW, lefty shit, you had to be prodded to provide a cite, and I did not bother to do any searching until you did, knowing full well that the majority of the lying major media had any real evidence, it would have been trumpeted from the castle's highest ramparts!
You fulfilled my expectations of you as a slimy pile of shit by offering nothing other than what you did: Bullshit. Keep it up, MG; your rep only grows.
And make the world a better place, your family proud and happy: Fuck off and die.
I want to meet you some day just because I am curious how someone with so much hate and rage can exist.
I have no desire to make your acquaintance in any manner whatsoever. I've read enough history to realize what disasters lefty assholes like you have visited on humanity. There is no possible excuse for any educated person to support the views you do; you are a thoroughly despicable excuse for a human being.
And, really, seriously:
Fuck off and die, shitpile
Oh, and in dealing with other than the assholes of the universe (you), I have no issues at all. Perhaps you should look at what makes you the hateful pile of shit you are.
Naah! Lefty shits NEVER accept personal responsibility; blame it on someone else, right asshole?
Fuck off and die.
B/c MG is a lefty shit.
A case like this helps me to keep having some faith in the criminal justice system. I thought for sure he would be convicted of something. Nice that these 12 understood that even though the young man did not have any business being there that has nothing to do with protecting your life with deadly force when being attacked.
Kyle lived and worked in the area. He had a business being there.
The rioters had no business being there, and the democrats in charge had no business in letting that riot happen.
This trial became a microcosm of how fucking broken the entire left is, and how evil and completely deplorable many of them are.
They don't give a damn about facts, or fair trials, or justice, or anything like that. All they care about is power. They wanted a lock up an innocent man because they are vicious, evil people.
In their eyes, they have a right to riot, burn, assault, and kill others that they disagree with, and you don't have a right to defend yourself.
These people are pure evil. The reason you have a second amendment is to protect yourself if they ever get in power.
They are saying the justice system is broken. No the justice system is the only thing that worked in this process (aside from the fact it should have never gone to trial in the first place). The media, the entire left... they all got this wrong, and they fucking new it at the time too. The evidence was there for all to see. They don't care. He was interfering in their riot and defending themselves against violent communist revolutionaries.
These evil scum didn't have any remorse when 25 people died last year, or when billions of dollars of damaged happend. When people lost their homes and businesses to a violent mob. All these deplorable people said was "eh they have insurance!".
Fuck all those people. Every celebrity, every media outlet that lied should be sued into the ground.
These people won't ever stop. They learned absolutely nothing from Covington, Michael Brown, Jessie Smollett, and now this case. They don't want to learn. They are religious fanatics and cultists, and should be treated as such
Left are evil. Also evil are people on the right holding up a mixed-up teenager as a hero, and celebrating the deaths he caused.
Fuck off and die, lefty shit.
fuck off and die.
If he wasn't armed he would have been killed and you wouldn't give two fucks.
Before I mute you, I’ll just ask how in the world would he have died if he weren’t armed?
He was never initially under any deadly threat. Just a crazy guy with no weapons chasing him, whose attention was drawn to Rittenhouse because Rittenhouse has a gun.
Furthermore, if he hadn’t been armed, he most likely would have stayed safely at home. Which is exactly where a 17-year-old boy should have been.
Fuck off and die, asshole.
"...Furthermore, if he hadn’t been armed, he most likely would have stayed safely at home. Which is exactly where a 17-year-old boy should have been."
And we get victim-blaming tossed in by this pathetic piece of shit. If she didn't wear such a short skirt, she wouldn't have been raped, right, asshole?
Sevo and esteve7 have some great advice, you should look into it.
Guy name of Ken Shultz agrees with you; lefty shits like Mike claim 'both sides', but just can't seem to find any evidence to support that bullshit.
See Kyle!
BTW, I think a former POTUS was impeached for such language:
"Biden suggests he disagrees with Kyle Rittenhouse acquittal, calls for Americans to protest ‘peacefully’"
https://dolly-world.com/2021/11/19/biden-suggests-he-disagrees-with-kyle-rittenhouse-acquittal-calls-for-americans-to-protest-peacefully/

HAPPENING: BLM takes to the streets in Brooklyn NY chanting "EVERY CITY EVERY TOWN, BURN THE PRECINCT TO THE GROUND" after the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict.
Still doubt there will be riots, but a couple clowns might try to act out.
The 2020 riots were NOT organic or spontaneous. They were a political tactic organized & ordered from on high.
And like the 'spontaneous' central American migrant crowds, funded by someone whom the majority of the media is not interested in identifying.
Look, it's totally a coincidence they showed up with "BIDEN LET US IN" t-shirts.
OK, may as well get this off my chest. It will be ignored, but so what?
Suppose that one of the people there had shot Rittenhouse. Would that have been self defense? The one guy who survived testified that he thought Rittenhouse was an "active shooter", so shooting him would be self defense, right?
This whole farrago exposes the stupidity of "self defense" with guns. Guns are useless for self defense, because if you wait for the other guy to shoot, its too late. So you have to shoot first.
Some mugger comes up to you and points a gun at your chest. Your gun is in its holster. You can't defend yourself because its too late; pulling your gun is just going to get you shot. So how do you defend yourself against muggers with guns? Are you going to walk down the street aiming your gun at anyone who gets within 20 feet? Guns are no good unless you aim at the other guy before he aims at you.
So far its only been the ones on the Right with guns. Next time the ones on the Left will also have guns, because hey, self defense. Then someone lets off a firecracker and you have a pitched gun battle. The survivors can all legitimately claim self defense because they thought they were being shot at, so its perfectly legal.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015_Waco_shootout
Next time the gangers won't even need to throw away their guns after the shootout: they can just claim self defense and the charges will be dropped.
The delusional "suppose if" justification??? lol.... Yes moron; If Rittenhouse had attacked the other party or the other parties property then the other party could claim self-defense. Your "suppose if" doesn't amount to a hill of beans outside a delusional fantasy.
Rittenhouse shot three people who he thought were attacking him, and he may have been right. The third person Rittenhouse shot (Grosskreutz) drew his gun because he thought Rittenhouse was attacking people. We don't know what the other two thought because they are dead, but they seem to have considered him a threat to themselves and others, and acted to defend from that threat. Was that an unreasonable fear on their part? There were lots of guns being fired that night, and here comes this guy carrying an AR-15: what would you have thought?
You can't grant Rittenhouse the right to walk into a riot carrying a gun and use it for self defense if you don't also grant everyone else there the same right. Rittenhouse testified that he thought that Rosenbaum was going to take his gun and kill him with it. But Rosenbaum may well have had a genuine fear that Rittenhouse was going to shoot him or others, and was acting to defend them. Did he have to wait until he was being shot at before he was allowed to defend himself? That sounds like a very ineffective method of self-defense.
Then Huber got shot because he knew that Rittenhouse had just shot someone, and must have been concerned that he was going to shoot others. Huber's actions were clearly in defense of himself and others. His beliefs may have been mistaken, but that doesn't mean it wasn't legitimate self-defense.
Its the nature of guns that you *have* to shoot first. Grosskreutz almost died because he had his gun out but didn't have the nerve to shoot first. If he had shot first, that would have been self defense because he thought he was facing an active shooter who was going to shoot him. And he wasn't wrong.
The real "delusional fantasy" is that guns are any good for self defense. No, they are only good for pre-emptive self defense. But pre-emptive self defense is indistinguishable from offense.
He didn't "thought" they were attacking him - They beat him with a skateboard, tried to grab his weapon and stuck a pistol to his head.
Yes, and why? Grosskreutz thought he needed to defend himself against Rittenhouse. The other two probably thought the same.
Rittenhouse had his rifle pointed downward, said he was going to the police, and was running in that direction. The pervert that first attacked him had been threatening the lives of Rittenhouse and his friends all night. Rittenhouse had been literally putting out fires all night, including a flaming dumpster that was being shoved toward a gas station. He had not shot or even threatened anyone until the serial child-rapist attacked him.
But you don't give a shit about facts or you would know that already.
So what does Rosenbaum's history have to do with his right to self defense? What about Huber? What about Grosskreutz? Did they have a right to defend themselves against Rittenhouse?
"Rittenhouse and his friends". How many friends did Rittenhouse have there?
It doesn't matter where Rittenhouse might have been pointing his gun. Rosenbaum didn't point a gun anywhere, but Rittenhouse can still claim self defense. Why can't Rosenbaum? Or are only people you like allowed to defend themselves?
"...It doesn't matter where Rittenhouse might have been pointing his gun..."
Prize example; piss off.
Pointing a gun down may be a big thing in your world of armchair quarterbacking, but out in the real world it only takes a second to bring it up and start firing. So why should someone regard a gun holder as non hostile just because the gun is pointing down at th moment?
Thing is, you are all so determined to show that Rittenhouse was justified in pulling the trigger that you are ignoring the possibility that the people he shot also had a justified fear that he was going to shoot them. This is the problem of self defence. Its quite possible for all parties in a case like this to have a clear case for self defence.
So I'll ask again. Did Grosskreutz have the right to defend himself against Rittenhouse?
Fuck off, idiot; find another sucker to patronize your stupidity.
No, he didn't. If Grosskreutz had a mistaken understanding of the situation that does not give him legal carte blanche to use deadly force based upon that misunderstanding.
This is what we call "Owning the MAGAs".
This is what we call "a lying pile of shit".
Fuck off and die.
No. You just beclowned yourself in public. You were wrong from first principles, and doubled down every time you got slapped.
"Yes, and why?" - Because he was protecting property from an angry mob.. Duh... You think that $2M of property damage was a fairy-tale?
Grosskreutz thought he needed to defend himself against Rittenhouse...... Sure, sure; as he said, "Go get that F'er."
To quote Sevo, UR Full of Sh*t.
You don't get to grant anyone rights, you fucking totalitarian pussy. Rights are inherent.
And unalienable (not yet looked up-thread at which lefty pile of shit you are addressing)
Looked: it's the newest steaming pile of lefty shit paul with numbers!
Suggest the best response to that asshole is:
Fuck off and die.
"OK, may as well get this off my chest. It will be ignored, but so what?
"Suppose that one of the people there had shot Rittenhouse. Would that have been self defense?..."
No. it won't be ignored; you'll be the butt of jokes, as idiots should.
Get back to us once you understand the concept of "aggressor".
Was Grosskreutz the aggressor? Was Huber? Or were they defending themselves against someone they perceived to be acting aggressively?
Grosskreutz testified that he thought he was dealing with an active shooter, i.e. an aggressor against whom he had to defend himself. But Rittenhouse saw a gun pointing at him and thought he had. We'll never know what the other two thought, because they can't testify.
This all comes back to my point: the concept of "self defense" with guns is bogus because you can't tell if you need to defend yourself until its too late. If Grosskreutz had pulled his trigger and killed Rittenhouse, would you be defending his actions as self defense against a perceived agressor?
Fuck off, idiot; find another sucker to patronize your stupidity.
They'd get to make their case at trial.
The fact that Kyle was running away and they pursued him then attacked is going to be a fact they'll have trouble justifying.
Seems you're responding to either a terminally stupid commenter or one hoping to make his sophistry fly. I'll pass.
Who should have been on trial are all the leftist politicians who allowed these "mostly peaceful protests" to pillage and burn many of the cities in this country.
The ones who continue to characterize Communist mobs roaming the streets beating, stealing, and destroying as lawful citizens are the criminals.
Too bad the 12 jurors in Kenosha aren't given that case to offer their verdict.
I'm surprised by the verdict, not because that even thought I feel that it is very clearly that Kyle Rittenhouse acted in self defense, but because the jury found the courage to judge him as peers instead of allowing their decision to be influenced by the woke mob and corporate media.
Kudos to the jury.
AP feed to the Chron this morning, almost as idiotic/dishonest as Paul (above):
Notes that Rittenhouse shot three, 2 of whom died. That's it. Context? What context?
Added context would only show AP has been lying about this story for weeks.
I hope Kyle Rittenhouse sues CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NPR and every progressive liberal media outlet, for hundreds of millions of dollars, for the distortions, lies and misinformation provided in their commentary and newscasts.
LET"S GO BRANDON.
