How Gun Politics Could Hurt Hillary

Not only does presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton tweet terrible Venn Diagrams about gun control, she is also arguably running the most gun-grabby campaign by a major-party politician since at least Al Gore in 2000, stressing the primacy of manufacturer liability, praising Australia's confiscation regime, blaming Bernie Sanders' Vermont for New York gun crimes, and so forth. All of which makes presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump, whose views on gun rights have evolved over the years, seem, perhaps improbably, more in line with popular opinion.

I will be talking about that and much, much more—including Hillary vs. Bernie—on the Fox Business Network program Kennedy tonight at 8 p.m. (with a repeat at midnight). Tune in!

It always annoyed me in movies when aliens speak perfect English. I think the most plausible treatment of aliens speaking English are the Coneheads- they have accents and have weird diction, which tends to happen when one is speaking a foreign language.

There was some message that the Earthlings were trying to translate before we blew up the alien world, and just as the missiles are launched the beginning of message is something like "what follows are the cures to all mortal illness and instructions for limitless energy...." and kabloom. Very popular late 50s/early 60s sci-fi theme. Maybe it was a bradbury story; it sounds like him.

Fun fact: My great uncle was in the Air Force. He was transferred from Japan to England because the US military wanted to discredit communist propaganda that they were using chemical weapons in Korea.
