Earlier this evening, I was on HuffPost Live's Cocktail Chatter with host Josh Zepps, comedian Abbi Crutchfield, and features editor from The Nation magazine Kai Wright.

We talked about the ongoing one-sided standoff in Oregon, President Obama's gun control-related tears, Lyft's proposed partnership with GM, and a little bit about the Golden Globes…all while drinking a strange cocktail called "The Hunt."

In re: Chipotle, that was one of the MANY factors that made me bearish. If they want to stop poisoning people, they're going to upset their cultish and most loyal customers. Their location growth was already slowing. The same store sales drop is just icing on my diarrhea free cake.

Break downs those land % even more. How much of the non-west federal land are military reservations? I'm going to guess quite a bit, especially in some of those southern states and NY.

It's a lot easier to think of federal land as being used by the government when it's occupied and otherwise off limits versus acre after acre after acre of unfenced forest or rangeland.

I was adopted at birth, I have wondered about my genetic origins. A look in the mirror tells me I am central european. I look like Hitler.

I have thought about that. But I am tepid about handing over my bodily fluids to an Internet company.

Growing up my mom suggested that I contact birth mother. I did. I was adopted through Catholic charities and the sisters there keep records. They will not allow you to contact your birth mother directly and will not you give any information about her. They will, however, write a letter on your behalf asking her if she would like to make contact with the adopted child. My birth mom wrote me a letter explaining how heartbroken she was about leaving me. She is/was a devout Roman Catholic so being aborted was not an option. From her letter I learned that I have 11 half siblings and that I am a Southerner. She wasn't specific about where she lived but from her description of her surroundings I suspect she lived in South Carolina.
