I heard the $10 000 check bounced.

Opening shot: Adolf Hitler, in his bunker, sitting behind a map. He is given bad news about something. The subtitles inform us that Donald Trump is dropping out of the race to be the GOP presidential nominee. Hitler orders most of his subordinates out of the room and then begins to rant to the remaining officers that he had dozens of articles on Trump's candidacy, already outlined, each with a slightly different take on the man. They just needed to be fleshed out a little but they were so close to being publish-ready. Now what will he do with them? They're all useless now. He will have to go back to writing lazily about same-sex marriage and open borders and citing pop culture events that signal the country is close to its Third Reich moment.
And scene.
Gilliespie is obviously Hitler in this Downfall parody, but who's Fegelein? Welch?
Welch is Steiner, off guesting on Fox Biz instead of doing his job.

Sometime I wonder why I even bother to get up in the morning.
Man, when did Luke Skywalker become an econ professor. And why does he have that crazed look?
We need to draft Agile Cyborg to represent the commentariat and produce a video entry, preferably something done in stop motion animation.
When I imagine what it would be like, I picture "Street of Crocodiles" by the brothers Quay:

This is AC's entry in the music video category. SPOILER ALERT: The tentacle monster represents asset forfeiture.
Wow. Speechless. What was the mountain sized monster at the end?
Lou Reed's effect on individualism.
What, no novels?
*grump*
Also, because comments are where you go to nitpick: Reason, using the term 'Dark Ages' in a presentation about admittedly very dumbed down history is still kind of a dumb mistake. The concept of a 'Dark Age' from the fall of the Western Roman Empire to the later Medieval period is seen as pretty questionable in the history field nowadays. It completely ignores various cultural renaissances (Charlemagne's and Islam's in particular) as well as technological innovations that did occur during the period.
/Rant done
He was using it as a racist dog whistle
