Does Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht deserve a life sentence? And how exactly did the government prove its case?
At 5 P.M. ET today on HuffPostLive, I'll be talking about the life sentence handed down to Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht. Joining me will be Ulbricht's mother Lyn, who spearheaded public support for her son, and Alex Winter, whose documentary about Silk Road, Deep Web, debuted last night on EPIX. Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani moderates.

He didn't deserve ANY sentence much less a life sentence.
He dared to defy the ruling class, which is way worse than murdering people or anything else imaginable. And to add to that, he's encouraged, purposefully or not, other people to defy the ruling class. And we can't have that.
So if I understand correctly, you want us to watch Nick on an internet talk-heads show at 5, and then watch Matt on a cable nooz talking heads show at 6, and live on the same continent as Episiarch?
That's...asking a lot.
The lesson to be learned here, is that you better obey, peasants, or it's off to the dungeon with you!
I watched about an hour of Deep Web. It was good but frustrating. I would have had to watch it in chunks even if Game of Thrones hadn't come on.
The takeaway: Schumer is a colossal asshole.
It took that for you to realize that Schumer is a giant asshole?
Yes. I thought he was simply your garden variety douchebag.
From what I remember they didn't have to prove their case, because they admitted to the "crimes" as part of their defense.
