Watch Matt Welch and Some Libertarian All-Stars on Tonight's Stossel!
At 9 pm ET tonight, Fox Business Network's great Stossel program will be dedicated to the topic of government shutdown. Among the guests will be Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah), Cato Institute Vice President David Boaz, Free Market Institute economist Ben Powell, and your humble narrator. I'll be talking on the subject of how the modern Republican Party has been long been reticent to advocate specific government cuts.
Consider this your open heckling thread!

How is this being a heckling thread different from any other?
I'll watch me a Stossel. Not a Maher or a Huffpo Live but a Stossel, I will.
Yaron Brook of the Ayn Rand Institute also posted on facebook that he was on tonight's show, but I don't see his name on Stossel's blog write-up. I guess I'll just see if he's on later tonight.
Have I mentioned I like Stossel?
You mean libertarian all stars like Bill Maher is a libertarian all star?
Airwolf is shooting up some guy's gazebo right now on the G4 network. You know, Stringfellow, sidewinder missiles don't grow on trees.
Come to think of it, maybe they did back when Reagan was in charge of things.
String ruled!
Sunburst, hammerhead roll...dead bad guy!
His brother St John, however, was gayer than when gay went to gaytown.
Ha, Stossel keeps his stash of cash in his pantry.
That was Pelosi's stash.
Mike Lee isn't going to go as far as saying the shutdown ain't Armageddon, so don't expect that admission.
Boom, Lee slams the other two branches in the span of five seconds.
Ouch, Warren thought he could watch this show instead of Maher, but Stoss throws a little Bill Maher smug at us in a clip of that terrible show.
Powell is looking at a huge audit, as soon as the IRS un-furloughs its agents.
A super sequester? I can only assume that would mean instant death for half the country.
Every government job is essential... to that worker. These are voters.
Tyoka is looking down the business end of an IRS audit, as soon as the shutdown is over.
Oh, Jackson, if you want to compete against your business rivals simply lobby your legislature to regulate the other guy out of business.
When the government is shut down, there is no liberty. Hence, the Statue of Liberty is closed.
This just in: Bernie Goldberg hates the media.
SHOUT OUT TO REASON MAGAZINE! Third after Fox and Drudge. (Never mind, unless I'm wrong, that we actually did have Reason last shutdown.)
Uh-oh, Stoss thinks the Repugs can win the shutdown battle.
Marc Andre Fleury has 250 career wins already with tonight's shutout against the Devils. Gotta support the team. Yeah, that's right.
Crowley didn't challenge Pelosi on the assertion that there's nothing else to cut?
Ford's Theater is closed be the government shutdown? What's Obama going to do with his ticket for Our American Cousin?
Welch is batting cleanup.
Let's get this unpleasantness out in the open right from the start: Welch's tie knot is missing its dimple.
This just in: Matt Welch thinks $200 billion is a small figure. How much is reason paying him?
I think Stoss just invited Welch on the show to bash Congressional Repukes.
Stossel thinks that Pelosi spends tax money on junk? Suddenly Botox is considered non-essential.
While you're in there, John, grab me some Sweet'N Low.
Shooting at a vehicle with a child inside? Good idea.
"A police officer was injured after his cruiser became lodged on a barricade."
Passive voice, Lou?
Oh, wait, Stossel is over. I'm out.
I'll be talking on the subject of how the modern Republican Party has been long been reticent to advocate specific government cuts.
Cause they aren't popular? Which you sometimes seem to think is important?
Hi Merican.
Re: Name,
You mean there's somewhere a non-traditional White America?
