How Evil Are the Koch Brothers?
If your answer was "Evil as the Clanton brothers, the Smothers Brothers and the Canseco Brothers all rolled into one (or actually two)," then click right here and vote in Brave New Foundation's new interactive cybertubular poll.
The screenshot to the right is what I got after my vote. Your mileage may vary depending on how popular the poll turns out to be.
I seached in vain for a"Funding American Ballet Theatre" option. (Really, how many self-hating anorexics must we lose in cat fights before we send this un-American form back to Europe? And let them have the French spelling of "theater" while we're at it.)
Not finding that choice, I was tempted by the lever marked "Anti-immigration: The Kochs have given $468,000 to ALEC, a group responsible for anti-immigration bills such as SB1070." I am interested that only 1 percent of Brave New Foundation's voters seem to be upset by the ominous anti-immigration trend in American life, but not surprised: The left has generally been as bad as or worse than the right on this issue.
But for obvious reasons I ended up going with "Foreclosures: The Kochs fund The Reason Foundation and the Mercatus Center, think tanks that support continued foreclosures on working people's homes." I like to think my own pitiless pontificating helped Reason score this nod, and while I'm sorry we've only got 6 percent, it's an honor just to be nominated. Click here to get our average up.
More stars than there are in Heaven! Check out the Culver City-based Brave New Foundation's board of directors. And vote as early and often as you would if you were an ACORN member on paid disability leave riding your Rascal around the precinct on election day.

WTF?
Same here. WTF?
No, we're never going to Win the Future until we can get rid of those Koch brothers once and for all. (We want to keep their money, though... for the working people and their homes.)
We're not going to win the future anyway. The future is going to bitch slap us like a red-headed hooker.
Maybe they meant "Waste The Future"?
Who funds the site? George Soros, I hopez I hopez I hopez.
Also, I have a much more fun site. Gym Idiots
sweaty men
I'm into not reading your drivel, rectal, you pus-dripping cuntsore. Even seeing your grayed-out post is too much.
My little Manchurian candidate, ; you can't help but respond.
Oh, and if you assassinate helle, Epi , or that diabetic thingy, it happens!
Rather, still looking for that post. I mean, unless you're an idiot and can't make coherent arguments.
Oh, don't worry, I can wait for you to take your own dick out of your mouth before you post about political isolationism. I got time.
Are you trying to argue with rectal? Have fun.
Actually, putting rectal on the spot, and saying, "If you can't make a coherent argument, then you are an x" is, I've found, the quickest way to shut her up.
pee water, I left it up your ass-did Warty steal it from you? Bad Warty!!
Tim, you missed out on the best part. You can now buy Kochtopus t-shirts!
those things look great. If I were a Koch brother, I'd wear one all the time
I just bought one that said America was overrun by Kochs.
I want one that says:
Join the Kochfest!
Kochalypse
I think Kopachalypse is better.
The bonus on that is that the Koch Brothers would be listed as producers. It would be the ultimate poison pill.
The bonus on that is that the Koch Brothers would be listed as producers. It would be the ultimate poison pill.
Dear Squirrels:
Please to go fuck yourself.
Those t-shirts are fucking epic!
"kochbrothersexposed.com"
It sounds like that site is not safe for work. Can someone tell me which Koch brother is sex posed and how?
well, it isn't like I joined the libertarian party
They forgot funding Nova.
They're trying to blow up the sun? Bastards!
They didn't fund us! They're icky! Call and pledge now!
"I'm your Boogeyman, that's what I am..."
Maybe, but I'm your huckleberry.
The latests Koch Bros. evil act? According to the papers out here, sabotaging a GOP-Jerry Brown compromise.
Not to pimp my own blog, but here.
Budget compromise, that is.
You can't pimp your own blog. A pimp by definition is someone who sells services by others and collects a finder's fee from the people who utilize those services.
If you are tooting your own horn, you are nothing more than a common whore or slut.
FYI.
Fuck you. Whores sell their own services and collect a fee from the person utilizing their services. They're much smarter to not pay a ridiculous finder's fee to some rent-seeking dolt.
The really crazy part is that oil spills have received only 7% - I just can't comprehend the mindset of a progressive who finds political activism against Obamacare more evil than polluting the environment.
"I just can't comprehend the mindset of a progressive who finds political activism against Obamacare more evil than polluting the environment."
Nationalizing healthcare has been the American left's wet dream for over 80 years now. They have tried it every single time a new democratic presidnet gets elected.
Check out the Culver City-based Brave New Foundation's board of directors.
Lessig's an establishment tool? Who knew? WHO, I ASK?!
I like the stark contrast between their "Jobs" and "Volunteer" pages. It's exploity.
Ummm i think one of the Koch bros has given money to BEST.
http://berkeleyearth.org/Resou.....March_2011
The Berkeley Earth Surface Temperature study has received a total of $623,087 in
financial support from:
The Lee and Juliet Folger Fund ($20,000)
Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory ($188,587)
William K. Bowes, Jr. Foundation ($100,000)
Fund for Innovative Climate and Energy Research (created by Bill Gates) ($100,000)
Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation ($150,000)
The Ann & Gordon Getty Foundation ($50,000)
We have also received funding from a number of private individuals, totaling $14,500.
One fun note is that Bill Gates did also.
Anyway if the results of BEST support global warming claims we can blame the Koch bros for global warming fear mongering.
Kidding aside the BEST program seems like a pretty cool initiative.
It is run by a global climate believer and a global climate skeptic and the intent is to do away with the questions raised by the spotty work of the CRU and NASA/NOAA when it comes to generating data in regards to global temperatures.
I just googled BEST this morning and it looks like they are going to come out supporting the existing temp data. Of course, other websites are already pointing out flaws in the research.
http://climateprogress.org/201.....l-warming/
http://www.warwickhughes.com/blog/?p=858
I just googled BEST this morning and it looks like they are going to come out supporting the existing temp data.
Climate progress? really?
You should know that Joe Romm is against it because he fears that it might prove CRU and NASA/NOAA wrong.
Anyway their analysis is not complete in any sense of the word.
In fact from their web site they state this pretty clearly:
However, the preliminary analysis includes only a very small subset (2%) of randomly chosen data, and does not include any method for correcting for biases such as the urban heat island effect, the time of observation bias, etc. The Berkeley Earth team feels very strongly that no conclusions can yet be drawn from this preliminary analysis.
BEST could very well support (although i would not use that word) the existing temp data. The point of it is to see if urban heat and other issues with the surface temp record does effect the data. That is how science works. (or at least should work) Questions about the current analysis exist so another group comes along and tests those questions and see if they effect the results.
I do not know if BEST will prove the skeptics or the alarmists right. But how they are going about testing what the two groups are saying seems to be pretty good piece of science.
Sorry, but ninety percent of the google hits were based on the Climate Progress site. After seeing their tone and their derision of nonbelievers, I had no question that they're a bunch of statist fucks.
I had no question that they're a bunch of statist fucks.
Fun fact, Climate Progress is funded by Soros.
Not that that is a bad thing. Some anti-drug war stuff is funded by Soros.
Still it is funny.
With the Kochs and Soros both funding anti-drug-war causes, the fact that the drug war is over and heroin is being sold from vending machines is proof of the influence of money on our government.
Evil? They're not evil, if you want evil look for George Soros, MediaMatters, moveon, and the rest of the progressive movement.
You have all the subtlety of a freight train. And the wit as well.
Ok, what's the big deal with being subtle? I realize that liberals hate looking at the world in terms of black and white, yet you are a libertarian, so what's the beef? Why talk like a liberal? Jesus Christ, I know liberals are fun to party with but eventually you have to wake up, go to work, and realize you can't trust the liberals with anything other than sex, drugs, porn, prostitution and rock and roll. That's all they're good for.
sex, drugs, porn, prostitution and rock and roll
Which, as libertarians, is half of our platform.
Now if they'd just get on board with the other half...
Your ideas intrigue me, and I am interested in subscribing to one half of your newsletter.
Almanian, you bastard! You never offered to subscribe to even = 0.333333333 of mine.
Why do you hate sex, drugs, porn, prostitution and rock and roll?
Your ideas intrigue me, and I am interested in subscribing to one half of your newsletter.
Threadwinner!
They're not going to get on board with the other half in a million years.
Hey Grego, maybe you can take your KULTUR WAR bullshit and cram it wherever your species traditionally crams things.
Epsilarch, fascist as always. Are you wearing your swastika or do you have it tattooed in your ass?
That doesn't even make any sense at all. That was pitiful, Greg. Try harder.
Warty's correct; Epi keeps his swastika up his ass
Fascists always tell people what do to, I don't. Epsilarch has fascist tendencies, notice how he's always telling me to go to hell, go to townhall, go somewhere else. I guess he's in touch with his inner-Hitler.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
You're still doing a terrible job. You might want to just abandon this particular assault.
No, no, Warty, I think we need to buy Greg a shovel. At this rate, he'll be to China in no time!
Right, Epi the anarcho-capitalist is a fascist.
Suggesting is not ordering, dude.
Suggesting you go fuck yourself, while a good idea, is not saying that said auto-fucking will be enforced.
You haven't blocked him yet?
I usually don't respond tp trolls but liberals are terrible on drugs, mixed on sex/porn/prostitution, and totally irrelevant to rock and roll.
A+
hiyo!!!
I prefer my liberals on drugs . . . in fact I prefer everyone on drugs.
And politics has as little business in rock and roll as good taste does.
I prefer liberals on drugs soaked in a marinade on the BBQ. No reason for them to suffer while they eat their own.
...now I'm hungry...
I usually don't respond tp trolls but liberals are terrible on drugs, mixed on sex/porn/prostitution, and totally irrelevant to rock and roll.
Hawaii has 90% Democrats in the legislature AND a Democratic governor, and yet the usual drugs, polygamy, and prostitution are still illegal, so the revealed preference of liberals is anything but libertarian on those social issues.
eventually you have to wake up, go to work, and realize you can't trust the liberals
Stop telling people what to do, fascist.
Jesus Christ, man, have you no sense of humor?
Grego is too stupid to have a sense of humor.
I honestly think that's "Neal," come back to do more performance art.
That was my thought, but Cliche Bandit claims to actually know the guy and that he's real.
I DO NOT!!! I claimed to know Donderroooooooo...and he (Eric Dondero) is being genuine in his crazyness (I believe that was the discussion topic). I don't know this Gregoy tool and have no desire to.
I Fart in his genereal direction!
"Greg" is definitely a current or former "regular" with a blog created just for his troll persona.
Can we call him gregular then?
I see now how you may have interpreted it that way...while I would love to blame threaded comments, in this particular case we were too deep to be threaded anymore...totally my bad. Anyway, I think I have some blore on me, i need to wash it off.
I'm begining to believe BPs theory here...about Neil.
Do YOU have a sense of humor when people make fun of you?
Usually, yes. What's the point of laughing if you can find humor in yourself?
I see that you not only don't have a sense of humor you also have no ability to comprehend simple English.
Cavanaugh is not making fun of the Kochs you moron, he's making fun of the anti-Koch progressives
Donate money to 'Koch Brothers Exposed' and you are given producer credits-I love that idea.
Maybe Reason can do another 'Suck-ification' and steal that idea
those percentages only add up to 100%. shouldn't they go all the way to eleventy!11!!%?
There's an intersting link at Hot Air to the US Steelworkers site where they explain why the left shouldn't boycott the Kochs.
I read it earlier, highly entertaining. I found the degree of contradiction very amusing. After describing the Koch brothers radical vision for America, Geenen then goes on to write:
"While the Koch brothers are credited with advocating an agenda and groups that are clearly hostile to labor and labor's agenda, the brothers' company (Georgia Pacific)in practice and in general has positive and productive collective bargaining relationships with its unions.
While some companies are running from investment in American jobs, The Koch brothers' Georgia Pacific just reached agreements with its primary union in the paper industry to invest more than a half a billion dollars in capital to essentially create two state-of-the-art machines that conserve fiber and energy at two separate union mills."
In other words, while the Koch Brothers may be evil, the companies that they own are " great examples of American advanced manufacturing," and are considered "among the best-paid manufacturing jobs in America."
In other words, while the Koch Brothers may be evil, the companies that they own are " great examples of American advanced manufacturing," and are considered "among the best-paid manufacturing jobs in America."
I don't know if the Koch's share my degrees of sympathy when it comes to Unions and labor, but their donations and actions seem to be consistent with it.
I do see a difference between unions for unskilled labor and skilled labor.
Why the fuck do teachers need a union? Their jobs are not dangerous and with their education and skill set they do have the opportunity to search for work in other industries. There is market pressure to keep salaries and benefits high.
I don't like unions in general and they do cause great harm, but the harm that government employee unions (desk jobs) and teachers unions cause is by far greater in degree then manufacturing unions.
Never dealt with IAMAW, have you? I've had conversations with those guys where they would rather see the company go into liquidation than take any cut in pay or benefits.
Of course, this was in the context of UAL, where there was more than enough stupid to go around at every level.
Seniority UAW guys will tell you the same thing. True fact. Again, stipulating plenty of stupid on all sides, etc. etc.
Still...Jeebus H..."want the company to go under...fuck 'em and my co-workers.."
Really? Really...
with their education and skill set they do have the opportunity to search for work in other industries
Knee-slapper of the day.
Oh, I get it. They have the "opportunity to search". Yes, indeed they do.
Beat me to it.
I literally lol'd
R C you disappoint me.
My comments were obviously in the context of a market driven skill set of teachers not a unionized skill set of teachers.
I keep voting "foreclosures" but the numbers don't change.
Duh, it only works if you are true of heart, or a virgin
-wait, I don't get why it isn't working for you
Man ... I really want to buy one of those shirts, for irony's sake, but I don't want to fund that garbage documentary. DAMN YOU MARKETS!!!!!!!
Finally a clear example of market failure.
"What's the worst thing the Koch Brothers have done?"
Why isn't there a tax on begging the question yet?
Oh, partisans. Your need for boogeymen is so pathetic. I mean, if some super-villain isn't keeping you down, then the world just isn't on your side and that can't be, right? It can't be!!!
But that might mean reality doesn't have a liberal bias!
It has a twisted logic to it. If you believe that your position is the only one a reasonable person can reach, then either 60% of the world is unreasonable, or a very few rich, unreasonable people are colluding against your position.
+1 and +1 for the OP
Time Bandits is still Gilliam's best movie.
You think it's better than Brazil?
Not that Brazil is a bad movie but yeah I think Time Bandits is better.
Seconded.
Of course Brazil is more a documentary.
I really enjoyed The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus.
Sorry, the correct answer is 12 Monkeys
I agree. And not because I think Madeleine Stowe is hot.
oooh...i forgot that one for a sec.
But yeah Time Bandits is better.
Gilliam's Island was a great series. That Ginger, hubba-hubba.
Oh, you non-partisans, your need to be appear above it all so... so gauche and icky.
I mean, if Team R or D isn't keeping you down, why it's those pesky ballot access laws that pushed Aaron Russo just under .0000002% of the vote in his neighborhood that's doing the oppressing.
Oh, by the way, Reason scribber, SB1070 is anti ILLEGAL immigration. Big difference there. Nice try, though.
But I'm sure Hugh Akston will come along any second and remind us that: no one at Reason is for open borders.
SB1070 is anti ILLEGAL immigration
ILLEAGAL DONT MEAN A SICK BIRD
So, basically, what you're saying is, "HURR DURR HURR! HURR DURR HURR DURR HURR!! HURRRRR DURR!!"
We're not appearing to be above it all, you stupid partisan fuck. We are above your loser TEAM shit.
I know that burns you up, but...too fucking bad.
SB1070 is anti ILLEGAL immigration
I can think of a few government laws and programs that not only slide into areas that they were never intended to do but quite a few that do the exact opposite of what they intend to do.
SB 1070 may be intended to be only anti-illegal but I have my doubts that it will not effect legal immigration negatively but free trade, property rights, equal protection of law and due process as well.
I tried to be truthful:
The worst thing the Koch brothers have done is give Will Wilkinson, Kerry Howley, Brink Lindsey and Julian Sanchez jobs.
I was an independent, sovereign, self-governing individualist and did exactly what TIMMEH! recommended and voted for teh FORECLOURESSZ.
And I added the comment, "The Kochtopus is everywhere!!!!111!" I hope it makes the scroll with the 1's in there...
I took a different cue from TIMMEH and voted for Other: Funded American Ballet Theatre.
"s voters seem to be upset by the ominous anti-immigration trend in American life"
Uh, yeah, could you do me a little favor? Could you, uh, blow me?
"Republican Hispanics also forged impressive wins in other states, fueled by nationwide voter discontent that gave the GOP one of its best midterm election showings in modern history. Five more Republican Hispanics -- the most ever in a single election cycle -- were elected to Congress, joining two incumbents."
Anti-Immigration fever is here. Catch it!

yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn
TIMMEH!!
Almanian:
How is Illegal Immigration not a violation of personal property rights?
Please explain how a local government can assert land use rights (aka Eminent Domain) simply by saying "'cause I said so" is any different than foreign individuals with no legal rights to a parcel of land claiming land use rights simply by assertion?
Good luck.
Please explain how a local government can assert land use rights (aka Eminent Domain) simply by saying "'cause I said so" is any different than foreign individuals with no legal rights to a parcel of land claiming land use rights simply by assertion?
Yeah, Almanian. Fucking riddle me this, you eminent domain motherfucker.
I snorted and laughed... Is that wrong?
That was everyone's response, dude, so...no.
Apparently you didn't hear me the first time.
yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn
Congrats, Holy Cow. You win my award for making the most ridiculous comparison I've seen on the internets this week.
(I've got to come up with a better name than that)
What land use rights are they claiming? They haven't stolen houses from anybody; they either buy property, or rent it, just like everyone else.
I have to say I am on board with Holy Cow here. Libertarians would always defend a homeowner's right to refuse someone entry to their house. But if a bunch of homeowners band together and make that same restriction global across all their property, all of a sudden it is immoral. hmmmmm.
If you have property rights and they include the right to exclude others from your property, then you can band together in a nation to exclude others from that nation. Obviously some people in the nation will disagree about what exclusions make sense, but that is why the nation ought to have a deliberative process. The same thing happens in properties governed by a housing covenant. Those people join and cede some property rights in return for some collective management and benefits.
That ignores the question of whether or not our existing laws on immigration are the best policy (I believe they are too tough). But there is no moral highground here for Libertarians without some logical disconnects.
You're proceeding from the assumption that it's moral to force me to be a part of your nation regardless of whether I agree with it or not. How is a gang of you telling me I may not allow illegals onto my property or use them for employment not also infringing on my rights to contract with whom I wish?
It always works well when other people determine what your property rights get to mean.
Seriously. "But if a bunch of homeowners band together and make that same restriction global across all their property..."
Well of course they have the right to do so. But you're analogy is completely false, because we don't voluntarily join this collective, we're born into it. I didn't "band together" with anyone, and I don't think anyone will get far on this site making majoritarian arguments, which is very Tony-esque. "Well if 51% of the people say such-and-such, then it's alright to force the 49% into compliance at gunpoint." Well no, no it isn't.
True story: on Monday of this week, my garbage disposal broke. I called several plumbers and got quotes. Then I went to the day-labor center, and asked them which guy they use for their plumbing. The "legal" jackasses wanted anywhere from $135 - $150 to do the job. My illegal did it just fine for $50. Why do people believe in using the law to force me to accept uncompetitive wages, and prevent my freedom of economic transaction?
But if a bunch of homeowners band together and make that same restriction global across all their property, all of a sudden it is immoral.
Well, no. Libertarians would be OK with a bunch of homeowners each saying for their own property, no Mexicans allowed to trespass.
This is not the same thing as a handful of politicians asserting that no Mexicans can cross anywhere along a thousand mile stretch of land, even though many of the actual property owners would be OK with that.
But, but... democracy, majoritarian rule, the law is the law!
"And vote as early and often as you would if you were an ACORN member on paid disability leave riding your Rascal around the precinct on election day."
That's the most brutal thing I've read on the internets in long while.
I love it.
Oh, I get it, Almanian. You're a dipshit. And you're not funny.
I don't mean because I find your juvenile political diatribes to be silly (see Tony for more examples; seriously, you're on the same level).
But because your jokes, they're old and lame, comedically speaking.
You need a bottle honey?
Well, your "diatribes" were a bit much.
What "diatribes"?
Um....YOU'RE A DIPSHIT!! NUH HUH!
Fucking explain your support for eminent domain, dude. I can't believe you love eminent domain like Jesus loves America. You do believe in Jesus, don't you, you godless libertine fuck?
I remember when Dale Earnhardt was all about "them ILLEAGAL FORDSZZ" - and look what happened to him.
Just sayin'...
"You can eat my dog, you can eat my truck, but you eat my flag and you're out of luck! She's waving proud around the world from Dallas to Fort Worth. Let me say it again: Don't mess with Earth!"
Oh it's forty below
and I don't give a fuck
got a heater in my truck

I love you more than shootin' ducks
I love you more than the pool hall
But not as much as football
Posers! I was hating Zoidberg Holy Cow before it was cool!
YORE A DIPSHIT EPI~NORMOUS!!!1111!1one!!11
WHY DONT YOU TATTOO A SWASTAKA ON TOP F YOUR BALLS E=PISS-RASH
How do I pronounce "Koch"? I looked on wiki, but don't understand the funny symbols they use over the letters.
I know, I should have stayed in school, but this is a serious question.
hint: It rhymes with COKE
"Kochaine is a hell of drug" sounds exactly the same as "Cocaine is a hell of a drug"
I voted for Reason and foreclosures. There's no such thing as bad publicity... I also included this link in the explanation.
Hmm, I was reminded recently that July is Velociraptor Awareness month. You turned me on to that. Just wanted to thank you in advance of this year's observance.
Last year I changed all the door levers in my house back to door KNOBS to be safe. Thanks again for the tip last year...
It pays to be prepared. They are some crafty vile beasties.
It is possible the Koch Brothers? are behind the velociraptor infestations.
I completely forgot to answer the question posed: the Koch Bros are about yay 1111i . . . . . i1111 evil. Maybe 1111i . . . . i1111.
I have to get back to work - I've enjoyed sipping dead babies' blood from gold goblets whilst pissing on teh PROPERTY RIGHTAZ! of those afflicted with infestations of illegal immigrants.
After work, I'm going to pull the wings off live examples of rare species of butterflies.
I wonder what the poor people are doing tonight.
TTFN, evul Reasonoids.
I voted for the anti-migrants one. It seemed like the obvious choice to me.
As far as am concerned the freedom to live and work where you choose, by freely buying property and receiving employment from other consenting adults, is at least as fundamental as freedom of speech.
As an immigrant myself, nothing has been more infuriating that the presumption of the state that it can stop me from voluntarily seeking employment with whomever I want on the utterly stupid grounds that I was born in the wrong geographic location.
Nobody controls the geographic location of their birth (or their parents or grandparents birth), any more than they can choose their skin color or their sex or their sexual orientation.
GET HER!!!
What's the worst thing the Koch brothers have done?
I voted "Other" and wrote in:
"They're cheapskates, they should spend as much money on political causes as George Soros."
Mine was "funding PBS."
If anybody feels like trolling go vote "other" and explain as : "Got Murray Rothbard kicked out the Cato Institute". MIght be fun. Might cause some cognitive dissonance.
That requires you to have a cogative to disso-nate.
I can't believe you wasted the chance to rhyme cogitate with dissonate, you buffoon.
Rhyming is for chumps.
Who are down in the dumps
Alienating Rothbard is there in the comments section
SOROSKOCHSOROSKOCHSOROSKOCHSOROSKOCHSOROSKOCHSOROSKOCHSOROSKOCHSOROSKOCHSOROSKOCHSOROSKOCHSOROSKOCHSOROSKOCHSOROSKOCHSOROSKOCHSOROSKOCHSOROSKOCH
BE AFRAID!!!!
Was this one of you, or just some A+ quality lack of awareness?
"Supporting nihilistic causes that are intellectually dishonest. They seek to legitimize false or fringe statements, and to entrench the idea that there are no facts, only opinions."
Apparently even Rolling Stones pianist Chuck Leavell has been corrupted by the Koch brothers. He co-penned a column in today's wsj extolling the good that comes from printing out emails.
Or one could follow both the Kochs and Soros to see where the money goes, and how it is being used.
I mean...laughing at the thought of billionaires influencing politics might miss a currency collapse or two. He's certainly not trying to influence American politics. Nor are the Kochs. Riiiiiiiggggghhhhhht.

I *did* vote for their evil ballet support, choosing "other." I noted that toe-shoe-friction was one of the greatest contributors to greenhouse gases.
I chose anti-immigration, with this comment:
The whole ALEC thing is silly. Surely the Kochs donated money to them for some reason other than immigration.
then click right here and vote in Brave New Foundation's new interactive cybertubular poll.
I voted for "Other", and typed in "Being unfairly vilified by leftist a-holes."
I doubt that one will get past immoderation.
I put "They give tens of millions of dollars to cancer research. They are playing God and should let Nature take its course."
They won't get the joke, which makes it that much funnier
This poll was the first thing that greeted me on Facebook this morning; some days I wonder whether it's really possible that so many of my fb friends really believe this asinine lefty crap they're always linking and posting. Maybe it's all just an elaborate piece of performance art? A psychological experiment designed to determine just how much stupid it takes to drive me to violence?
These guys keep making the lefties jump thru hoops like a bunch of suckers. A bunch of lefty Kochsuckers.
Everyone should click on "other", and type a sarcastic comment. With luck, they will have so many comments to review for censorship that they will regret having the "other" feature, thus denying them of their "service".
"How evil are the Koch brothers"?
Not at all, is the answer.
Suck on that, MediaMatters.
ROFL, voting for other it says "Your comment is being reviewed and will be posted shortly". Sure it will.
Wasn't the American Ballet Theatre used in The Turning Point? And the movie has a catfight between Anne Bancroft and Shirley MacLaine. Surely if you want silly ballet movies you should start with The Turning Point.
There are only two truly excellent ballet movies.
The Red Shoes and of course Suspiria
My favorite of the "other" votes is "alienating Rothbard". Pretty sure 99% of the readers of that site will have no idea what that means.
I get why the t-shirt shows the scary octopus holding an oil derrick, a handgun, and a dollar sign, but why should I be scared that it's holding a leaf and a wrench? Seems like he's just multitasking.
