The Ugly Face of the Drug War
The Newark Star-Ledger has an excellent video about New Jersey's debate over a medical marijuana law. The video includes all points of view - and showcases how drug prohibition really screws over pain patients.
Reason.tv recently looked at the horrible results "when cops play doctor." Check it out here.

Dear Friends,
I am Dr. Adel Naaba. The Operations Manager of AfDB bank in Burkina Faso . I confidently wish to share a 100% risk-free deal of US$12.3 million with you all for the fact you will not betray my trust on you. In 2005, I assisted Mr. Zheng Xiaoyu, the executed former director of food & drug of China to open a secret foreign account.
This money was placed in a company's account as an investment fund and since 2007 he was executed, the account has gone dormant because none of his relative or affectionate or even government knew about the existence of the fund in his name. By the way, the details of the account does not comprises his direct information. That is why no body will trace the fund at all.
I understood that our bank directors have had the intent to siphon the money for their private use if the beneficiary or no one applies for the claim. They convened board of directors meeting last Friday where I was told as the manager who opened the account to contact the beneficiary to activate or claim the fund before 2 months ahead otherwise they agreed to endorse the transfer of the fund into bank Treasury as an abandoned fund.
I told them that the account beneficiary is dead as I promise them to be in contact with the deceased extended relative in order to claim and take control of the fund as the next of kin. Therefore I seek someone here's interest so we can make deal and share the fund. In this case, all you need to do is to apply so that our bank will place your name as his kin and release the fund to you immediately. You can set up new account for this deal to be executed or if you have avialable account, it can still serve for the same purpose.
As soon as we conclude this deal, I will honorably resign and get over to your country where I will reward you with 39%. of the fund with 1% to set out for expenses. I will commence to invest my part in your country once I get over there but please you should keep this deal SECRET. To indicate your readiness to assist, contact me with the full detailed information about yourself so I can direct you on the next thing to do.
I expect an urgent response. First repond, first serve.
Pff.
How many comments?
Including Harvey's, four.
No, there was one before mine which I was pff-ing and seems to have been removed. One of those "send money to Nigeria" scams. It was pretty long.

What is wrong with you Libertarians? The combination of a war on drugs and strict gun control is the answer to all of societies problems. Why, just visit Rio De Janeiro, site of the 2016 Olympic games to see it in action. Since the Brazilian government has adopted an American style war on drugs and outlawed all legal ownership of guns, they now have acheived the highest violent murder rate of any city in the world, and one of the hottest selling consumer goods for those who can afford it, is armor plated passenger cars.
The Right People? weren't in charge.
Now move along, nothing to see here.
