More Cops Say They Won't Enforce Coronavirus Curfews
Plus: Biden definitely wins Georgia, Alaskans approve ranked-choice voting, Facebook faces next antitrust lawsuit, and more...

California curfew starts Saturday. As expected, California Gov. Gavin Newsom has announced an overnight stay-at-home order, telling residents to curtail nonessential activities between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. from this Saturday through December 21. California follows in the footsteps of New York, Ohio, and Oklahoma.
Though it will not cover the whole state, the new directive applies to all counties in California's pandemic purple tier—the color representing the most severe outbreaks—and effectively covers most of the state's population. "Roughly 94% of Californians—37 million people—live in counties that are in the purple tier," reports the Los Angeles Times. "The state has reported an average of more than 10,000 new cases each day over the last week," the paper notes.
But not all local law enforcement authorities in California are on board. A number of county sheriffs say they won't enforce the curfew orders.
"On Nov. 19 the California Department of Public Health issued a curfew order for the state of California. The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office is aware and will not be enforcing this curfew order," the office said in a statement.
Fresno County Sheriff's Office followed suit. "We're not gonna make criminals of normally law-abiding citizens," Sheriff Margaret Mims said at a press conference yesterday. "I haven't seen any data for instance that shows that between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., that things happen that cause a big spread of COVID."
Neither Merced County nor Sacramento County sheriffs plan to enforce the order.
"The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office will not be determining—including entering any home or business—compliance with, or enforcing compliance of, any health or emergency orders related to curfews, staying at home, Thanksgiving or other social gatherings inside or outside the home, maximum occupancy, or mask mandates," said Sheriff Scott Jones in a statement.
"The Merced County Sheriff's Office will not be determining compliance or enforcing any health or emergency orders related to curfews, Thanksgiving, or other social gatherings inside or outside the home, maximum occupancy, or mask mandates in Merced County," the sheriff's office wrote on Facebook.
In the Coachella Valley, many departments are unsure as of yet how to handle it. But Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco wrote on Facebook:
It has been the policy of the Sheriff's Department to encourage responsible behavior and compliance with the Governor's orders. To ensure constitutional rights are not violated and to limit potential negative interactions and exposure to our deputies, we will not be responding to calls for service based solely on non-compliance with the new order or social distancing and mask guidelines.
San Jose Inside reports that in Silicon Valley, city police departments say they have similar plans:
Mountain View Police Department spokeswoman Katie Nelson said that "much like with previous state stay-at-home orders, and other county public health mandates, [MVPD] will continue to take an educational approach."
San Jose Police Department spokesman Sgt. Christian Camarillo said his agency would take a similar tack instead of issuing citations. "In addition, we will not be utilizing this curfew as probable cause to detain persons during the curfew hours," he assured.
Some sheriffs in Ohio are also resisting enforcement of the state's 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew, which began yesterday.
"It is up to the business owners to enforce this as they do with the requirements to wear a shirt and shoes," Geauga County Sheriff Scott A. Hildenbrand wrote on Facebook.
In Butler County, just north of Cincinnati, Sheriff Richard K. Jones said earlier this week: "I'm not going to have my employees go out and make arrests, or stop people." He continued, "People are angry, and I don't care what the governor says, somebody will disobey or run. Bad things will happen from this curfew."
Some Cincinnati area police are also skeptical, reports WLWT5 Cincinnati:
"How do you stop someone at 11 o'clock at night and then they say we're going to McDonald's? How do you enforce that?" said Newtown police Chief Tom Synan. "We have no intention of enforcing the curfew. We're not going to be out there stopping cars. There's not going to be roadblocks."
[…] Fairfield police Chief Steve Maynard wrote on the department's Facebook page "We support the efforts of the governor's office to manage this matter, however, it places an undue burden on the already stretched resources of our department. That said, we will not be actively looking for violations of the order."
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine is facing some pushback from his state legislature:
In a party line vote, House Republicans passed Senate Bill 311, which prohibits the Ohio Department of Health from issuing statewide and regional quarantine or isolation orders to people who haven't been infected or exposed to disease. The Senate passed the bill in September.
It would also allow lawmakers to pass a resolution to rescind ODH orders like the statewide mask mandate.

Alaskans approved ranked-choice voting, in which voters don't just choose their single top candidate but rank their top choices. "Measure 2 makes sweeping changes to how Alaska administers elections. Instead of two primaries, in which each political party nominates a candidate for the general election in November, the state will hold one open primary from which the top four candidates, regardless of party affiliation, proceed to the general election," notes Vox.
Read more on the shift from Reason's Scott Shackford, who also notes the fate of ranked choice voting initiatives in Maine and Massachusetts, as well as a new election experiment in St. Louis:
A different type of election will be introduced in St. Louis, again thanks to the result of a local ballot proposition. Proposition D will bring approval voting to primaries for local city offices. In approval voting, voters don't need to choose just one candidate, nor do they rank the candidates. Instead, they can simply vote in favor of each candidate they like and would accept to that office. Then the candidate with the most approval votes wins.
In St. Louis, by a vote of 68 percent, citizens agreed to implement a system of approval voting for the March primaries for city elections. In the primary, voters will choose however many candidates they approve of for each office. The top two vote-getters will then face off in the April vote in a more traditional runoff election.

A positive side effect of the pandemic? This past year has brought a huge reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. "Carbon dioxide emissions from the US economy are nose-diving this year to a level not seen since 1983, according to new estimates by BloombergNEF," notes The Verge. "The planet-heating pollution is on track to fall by 9.2 percent from last year, which the private research organization says would be the biggest reduction on record." Emissions are expected to be down 7 percent globally.
Facebook faces a major attack by attorneys general and the DOJ. Following a civil suit against Google by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and a slew of Republican attorneys general, an even bigger (and bipartisan) group of authorities is planning to target Facebook on similar grounds:
The Federal Trade Commission and a bipartisan group of dozens of state attorneys general are in the final stages of filing one or more major antitrust complaints against Facebook Inc in early December, according to four sources familiar with the situation.
FTC staff undertaking a probe of the company has recommended to commissioners that they sue the social media company in federal court, which would allow the group of states, led by New York, to join the lawsuit, according to one source.
As many as 41 states may sign on to the lawsuit, three sources said. The filing of the lawsuit or lawsuits could slip into next year, the sources said.

When I first starting writing about QAnon, some conservatives scoffed that it wasn't a significant phenomenon, that it had no real influence on the Republican Party or conservative politics. That is obviously untrue. Rather than ask whether conspiracy kookery is relevant to Republican politics at this moment, it would be better to ask if there is anything else to Republican politics at this moment. And maybe there is, but not much.

Walz's order also nixes many outdoor recreational activities, saying "individuals must not engage in outdoor recreational activities where they will come into close proximity with others from different households."

Hello.
Hand recount with more shenanigans. There should be an AUDIT.
Don't concede.
Drive the DNC cheaters mad for what they did the last four years with their LIES about Russia and impeachment.
Make sure every damn LEGAL vote is counted. Fight to the death. Like Hilary said, DON'T CONCEDE JOE!
Fight to the death? If only civilization could be so fortunate.
I quit working at shoprite and now I make $65-85 per/h. How? I’m working online! My work didn’t exactly make me happy so I decided to take a chance on something new after 4 years it was so hard to quit my day job but now I couldn’t be happier So i try use.
Here’s what I do....... WORK24HERE
The hand recount in Georgia that just completed WAS their audit.
Like Trump, you will not or cannot articulate what you actually want using the correct technical terms.
Is what you want to have Republican Party operatives re-match all signatures on mail-in ballots and use their biased judgment whether to accept them or not?
Is what you want to have all mail-in ballots thrown out, and the Georgia legislators to pick the slate of Electoral College electors?
The hand recount wasn't an audit of ballot validity dummy. They didn't contest any vote or ballot or verify against signatures. They simply recounted. Why must you lie all the time?
Knight has a point though. Too many people were insisting that the machines were counting wrong or flipping votes. This includes people who said their statistical analysis PROVES the machines were using some algorithm to flip votes. This audit proved that wasn't happening.
So now it is that those votes were somehow invalid. While that might be the case, there has been no information come to light in GA to suggest that there was some sort of fraudulent ballots.
The problem with re-verifying signatures at this point, after the vote has been tallied, is there is a strong incentive for pro-Trump reviewers to reject all or many of the mail-in votes. Any objectivity there was is tainted.

We're not gonna make criminals of normally law-abiding citizens...
Yeah, that's what any new law or regulation does. You don't want to go down that slippery slope, Sheriff.
Once they've broken one law, they've shown they will break any law. Executions for every offense!
""People are angry, and I don't care what the governor says, somebody will disobey or run. Bad things will happen from this curfew.""
I wonder if that applies to any other laws on the books?
what we are seeing now, in the twilight of Trump's kookery, is the merger of QAnon, the Republican Party, and the large part of the conservative movement that earns its bread by peddling miracle veggie pills to gullible elderly people on the radio.
Fuck the new-fangled inter-tubes, the GOP has AM redneck radio.
But are they organic?
Now do black lives matter. Or the entire critical race movement.
Wow, you'll fuck just about anything, won't you?
Yeah, but he doesn't enjoy it if they are not resisting.
Williamson's complaint is particularly hilarious because it's just further evidence that the Republican party leaders have completely failed to come to grips with the populism that sprang up in the base in the wake of the TARP bailout, followed by McCain and Romney getting smoked like Christmas hams.
There's a reason that global megacorps and suburban yuppies are migrating into the Democratic camp now, and it isn't because the GOP is loaded with rubes who listen to talk radio. People like Elizabeth Warren and Bernie might get a lot of media asspats for their own populist rabble-rousing, but at the end of the day, they're jobbers who will take the pin for their paycheck. That's a big reason someone like Tulsi, who's actually far left in her politics but is far better at hiding her power level to the other side, is in the process of being ostracized by her own party.
There was an article in Yahoo News a couple of days ago pimping Larry Hogan as a possible 2024 candidate. "Look, he's a red governor in a blue state! He listens to The Science! He hates Trump!" Gee, I wonder why a left-wing media organization would be pushing someone like Hogan to be the next Literally Hitler. It's only with the best of intentions, I'm sure.
I'm old enough to remember when AM redneck radio was Art Bell taking time off from UFOs to deliver political opinion. I am old enough to remember when AM redneck radio was non-stop Mena, Arkansas conspiracies. I am old enough to remember when Rush Limbaugh was young local radio host. All that shit has moved to the side bars of scruffy webpages.
I am old enough to remember when Alex Jones was a conspiracy kook and not the leading intellectual of the new conservatism.
To be fair, libertarianism is even more chock full of kooks, we just don't have many AM radio sites or webpage side bars. The entire leadership of the LP in my former county all joined the JBS, and the county LP page is nonstop 911Troof.
And I have enough contact with Democrats to know they are in no way free of kookery. Anti-GMO, anti-farming, anti-gluten, anti-energy, etc. And that's just their mainstream stances! Conspiracy and New Age conventions are Leftist havens.
Quite frankly, the problem isn't the GOP, it's homo sapiens that is broken. We're an idiot species. We fall for the kookery because our brains are broken.
When you have a globalist ruling class dedicated to keeping ordinary people in a state of free-floating anxiety, while pushing one-size-fits-all social and economic engineering schemes like the Great Reset, it's not that hard to understand why the lumpenproles would think there's a conspiracy to control the masses. Especially when they basically lay it out in manifestos like Klaus Schwab has.
Dem ders a wholelotta broad brushes. (Does that capture your bigoted idea of a "redneck")
We can agree that people, as individuals and groups, are stupid. But then what to do? In their current paradigms, libertarians, and some conservatives, embrace letting stupid people be stupid, and also letting them suffer their own consequences. But no liberal, and certainly no progressive, can allow people to fend (or decide) for themselves.
So fuck anyone, mostly current liberals, who want to control others--for any reason.
Art Bell was not redneck radio.
He ran an entertainment show late nights. The AM radio version of the twilight zone. I would listen to him driving home from the graveyard shift. He always said that his show was pure entertainment and nothing more. Kept me awake on the drive home.
Howard Stern was good in the old days, Rush was better when he was hyped up on caffeine and Vicodin. It was all just a show for the audience.
I suppose the problem is when we cannot tell the difference. I have seen some great magic and participated in a hypnosis thing. I knew when it was happening it was a trick.
I'm still waiting to hear anything at all from QAnon where do i find them? the only people who seem to know of them is MSM and the democrats
Agreed. I know many republicans, some of whom are quite active in politics, and they seem to have the same attitude towards QAnon that Latinos have towards Latinx: most of them haven't heard of it, and those who have think it's idiotic.
The Pew Research people did a name recognition survey on QAnon and found that the group that recognized it most often was Liberal Democrats. No Joke.
No way, man. If brandy says Q and Alex Jones are the fountainhead of conservative thought, I reckon there ain’t no disputin’ that.
Dude (chick?) has been around a long time, after all.
Yep. Everything I know about QAnon has been from ENB’s yapping. I’ve literally never seen it anywhere else.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office will not be determining—including entering any home or business—compliance with, or enforcing compliance of, any health or emergency orders related to curfews, staying at home, Thanksgiving or other social gatherings inside or outside the home, maximum occupancy, or mask mandates...
The power of directly having to answer to voters for your job.
The planet-heating pollution is on track to fall by 9.2 percent from last year,
THEN WHY IS IT SO HOT OUT?
Too bad it's too late - we passed the point of no return years ago when CO2 concentrations passed 400 ppm. Remember Al Gore warning us 25 years ago that we only had 10 years to fix this problem before it was too late? Did you think he was joking? That's science, and there's no arguing with science.
That's "Nobel laureate Al Gore" to you, bub.
Covid-19 is nature's way of turning down the thermostat. 🙂
It's all the patio heaters for the outdoor-only dining.
To ensure constitutional rights are not violated and to limit potential negative interactions and exposure to our deputies, we will not be responding to calls for service based solely on non-compliance with the new order or social distancing and mask guidelines.

Close down the McDonald’s. It’s a small business.

Amazon: profit up 100%
Walmart: profit up 80%
Target: profit up 80%
Lowe's: profit up 74%
Microsoft, Facebook, Apple, Google: stock at record high
Small businesses: 21% closed; revenue for rest down 30%. They're gonna go extinct in the lockdown without help.
Just they way big business wants it. Big government and Big Business hand in hand. Those with enough money to buy political influence get their way. Just like Obamacare the fat payoff to the big insurance companies. Everyone must buy a plan that covers everything whether they need it or not.
Small business is an obstacle to socialist control with only a few well connected businesses surviving.
How in the blue fuck would any small business at this point think the Democrats give a shit about them without thoroughly deluding themselves? Democratic governors and public health officials (and quite a few Republican ones) have been front and center in calling these people and their businesses "non-essential," deliberately and maliciously forcing them to shut down even though there's no actual proof that they're the cause of community spread.
Telling these people and their loyal customers, "here's a paycheck, here's a small loan, see how much we care?" falls pretty flat when they've already punished you for something you were never responsible in perpetuating. If I'm a candidate for governor in these states when they come up for election, I'm telling these people, "Look how much they actually hate you--they deliberately forced you out of business to protect big box and global retail corporations. These business relationships weren't just a transaction, you and your customers were like family. And what did they do? They tore you apart in the service of their big-money donors and yuppie activist footsoldiers.
And they call themselves defenders of the little guy! Why would you believe anything that comes out of their mouth at this point?"
Of all of the people who I know who are democrat supporters or further left-wing than that, precisely zero own or operate a small business. They all either work for an institution (government, university, hospital) or a mega-corporation.
You should visit downtown kenosha. Theyre all raging lefties with chicago envy.

Biden will be certified as the victor in Georgia.
The point will be driven home to all you doubters. The system will not tolerate skepticism.
Resist! Not my president!
If they don't in some significant way reap what they sowed for the last four years, what's the point.
Oh, I would not worry about that. There will be payback. It will be brutal, and prolonged.
Team R will control the Senate, and therefore the pace of cabinet confirmations. Of course, the anonymous accusations we will read about in late December, early January will need to be fully investigated. Could take months. Maybe a cabinet will be in place by Hannukah of 5782. Or maybe not.
As for judges, forget about it. Blue slips will not be returned. There may be a vote here or there, but they will probably be voted down. Let the Blue states limp along without federal district court judges.
And investigations...how could I forget? There will be thorough and agonizingly complete investigations of Biden's business dealings. And poor Hunter, he is gonna have some real legal problems. There is a trial coming and he is a witness. And then...there will be more investigations into every motive of Biden's decision-making, with the worst possible interpretation assumed.
And of course, there is the press. Did I mention that there will be anonymously sourced stories out the wazoo? Depend on it.
And when Team R takes the House in 2022, Biden and Harris (assuming they win), will be impeached. Depend on it.
Everything that Team D did to POTUS Trump will be returned, in full. Fair is fair.
Have faith in the system!
I absolutely do have faith in the system.
More importantly, I have faith that Team R will return every favor to Brain-Damaged Biden and that wench Harris. Team R better fucking well make their lives a sheer misery because that is exactly what Team D did for four years to this Republic. Never mind turning the cheek. That just gets you slapped on the other cheek.
No, winning both Senate GA races, and taking the House in 2022 is the priority. Then it is payback time. Fair is fair.
The system totes protected you from unconstitutional lockdown tyranny, right?
And the system is totes secure against electoral fraud!
I doubt it. The Republicans don't have the spine for it.
You say all this as if Trump never gave anyone any reason to be suspicious or upset. As if the Dems were all worked up over Trump in a vacuum for no reason and poor little Trumpy never gave anyone a reason.
Hint: don’t continuously choose criminal associates, fire anyone that asks questions, owe Russians millions, openly praise dictators, stuff cabinet posts with people that lobbied against those departments previously, put forth federal judgeship candidates that have literally never tried a case, give important jobs to college age sycophants/family members and grant security clearances over objections to people with online gambling problems, declare national emergencies over fake caravans and play shell games with defense funding, double the rates at your own resorts and then have foreign dignitaries and the Secret Service stay there at double rates and pocket the money, pardon all your accomplices, etc.

The funniest part about this, even a significant number of Democrats believe that Biden stole the election through voter irregularities:
75 percent of Republicans believe it is very likely (61 percent) or somewhat likely (14 percent) that the election was stolen from Trump. But, according to the poll, while 69 percent of Democrats say it is not at all likely (61 percent) or not very likely (8 percent) that the election was stolen from Trump, 30 percent of Democrats believe it is very likely (20 percent) or somewhat likely (10 percent) that it was.
https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/matt-margolis/2020/11/19/whoa-nearly-a-third-of-democrats-believe-the-election-was-stolen-from-trump-n1160882
Yet, we shouldn't audit any of these votes, we should investigate the historically low rejection rate for ballots coming in, we shouldn't investigate how voter books aren't matching up in 71% of counties in Michigan, we shouldn't look at the statistical abnormalities. Just trust this as being the cleanest election of all time.
That just goes to show you, 20-30% of people in any group of significant size will go in a direction contrary to the general trend of the group.
Not coincidentally, that's one of the reasons I look at precinct vote totals that go something like 1088-13 for Biden with a healthy bit of skepticism.
Voter Integrity project to release their report today. They utilized random sampling of mail voters to determine election Integrity. Some of the initial statements are concerning. Large percentage of people who never requested a ballot and many who showed up as having voted but they didn't.

So you do know what an Ad Hominem is! Great! Now attack the random sampling he performed.
You can act like I am going off on some unusual tangent, but it is quite normal to expect any election review organization to be non-partisan. That a former Trump campaign staffer is running the collection of the data calls into question how honestly and impartially it was collected.
Of course, you know that, but they produced results you like.
"That a former Trump campaign staffer is running the collection of the data calls into question how honestly and impartially it was collected."
Current Biden supporters are counting votes. How honestly and impartially is that being done?

More affordable? That is not the case at all. Health care premium costs have been rising at a steady rate for years, before and after ACA implementation. Employer based private health care is anything but affordable, and it's getting worse.
As someone who purchases benefits for small employers, I can tell you that is not even remotely true. Prior to the ACA rate were going up 3-7% per year, after they were going up 15-25%.
Health insurance costs pre-ACA were reasonable. now they are not . My individual plan tripled in cost in the three years after ACA was passed.
Today is Joe Biden's 78th birthday. He will be the oldest president in American history. He is older now than Ronald Reagan was when Reagan left office. The chances of Joe Biden being president at 86 are practically nil.
The chances of Biden running an effective post-pandemic campaign from his basement in 2024 at the age of 82 is highly unlikely. If Biden bothers to stand for the nomination in 2024, it may only be to withdraw after he's won to hand it to Harris.
The Republicans will probably take control of the House in 2022, and we'll see real stagnation between 2022 and 2024. Expect Harris to become increasingly prominent after the Republicans take the House but Biden not to step down either until the primaries for 2024 begin or he wins the nomination.
Such faith in the system.
Vote fraud is being de facto legalized, but let's rely on those Maduro style elections to save us!
Joe Biden is a natural born loser.
And none of the other candidates in the Democrat primaries would have won.
Poster boy career politician. No talent, never makes the right decision, lies, only in it for himself. Other dunces mistake decades of sub-mediocrity at a job where he self-aggrandized and bragged for experience and capability. The same dunces who are sub-mediocre and less than capable but carried along at their jobs.
"but Biden not to step down either until the primaries for 2024 begin or he wins the nomination."
I doubt Biden will run in 2024. But if he does, expect several opportunistic Democrats to run against Biden, and to focus their campaigns on Biden's age and senility. And if Harris decides to run in 2024, Biden will resign before that occurs, to unify the party and increase Harris' chance of beating Trump.
But if Trump runs again in 2024, he'll likely win (if Republican state legislatures fix the massive problems with mail in ballots and vote counting).
Trump is only 3 1/2 years younger than Biden. If he runs in 2024, he will be the same age Biden is now. All of the Trump partisans’ remarks about how Joe is going senile and his age proves it, will still be there on the Internet ripe for re-posting.
Trump will be up there, too, and he has a really nice life waiting for him in Florida.
We will see. As has been widely reported there are lawsuits and a huge loan repayment waiting for him.
Sounds like wishful thinking.
Commercial real estate companies are typically highly leveraged and we'll have to see where those lawsuits go.
The D/E ratio for companies in the real estate sector on average is approximately 352% (or 3.5:1). Real estate investment trusts (REITs) come in a little higher at around 366%, while real estate management companies have an average D/E at a lower 164%.
https://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/060215/what-average-debtequity-ratio-real-estate-companies.asp
For the S&P 500, the d/e ratio is a fraction of that. It's because of the nature of the real estate business.
Like you and I both said, "we will see", "we'll have to see".
"...As has been widely reported there are lawsuits and a huge loan repayment waiting for him."
Are the walls closing in? Is this the tipping point? Perhaps the beginning of the end?
Why, the feds have eleventy-seven indictments already! Hundreds of late library books! Many, many unpaid parking tickets! And these from people Trump once spoke to!
Fuck off...
The Trumpti-clorian count is so strong! And when he lets the seething anger flow through him, Sevo's power is gloriously unstoppable!
That was terrible.
Totally Not a Lefty shill, folks
Joes age proves nothing. His incoherence, on the other hand.......
Trump isn't going to run again, and if he does, he'll get BTFO. I guarantee Twitter will nuke his account about two seconds after Biden is sworn in, and after that he's going to get litigated into oblivion.
The GOP will be better off moving on to focus on #Reeeeeeesisting Biden and Kacklin' Kammy, and finding a populist candidate that can focus the base's anger at the media, the Tech Trust, "experts" that destroyed their jobs, and globalist organizations into winning in 2024. Other than Rand Paul and Mike Pence, though, I can't think of anyone else who could realistically have a shot (and no, while Ted Cruz might run, he doesn't have a hope in hell of winning. He doesn't have Trump's decades-long media profile or charisma to overcome his weaselly countenance, even if he's gotten a lot better at Twitter bantz in the last 4 years.).
People like Fiorina who think the party's going to go back to the Bush-era culture it had from 1988-2010 are deluding themselves. They're better off just registering as Democrats at this point since the Dems are all-in as the globalist party now.
The leading candidates will be Cruz, Haley, and Pence, and if Pelosi and Biden manage to get the Green New Deal through, the "public option" (aka Medicare for All), or go for the War on Guns, any one of the three should have an easy time of it.
I really like Ron DeSantis, governor of Florida.
He has done a great job resisting coronavirus lockdown, kept the death rates low in the nursing homes, and opened up relatively quickly so the economy is actually doing well here.
He would make an excellent president
From an actuarial perspective, a 78-year-old white male in the U.S. has an average life expectancy of 9.43 years. I'd have to put Biden's overall health and access to health care at above average. Biden's already said he's a one term president. I could toss some numbers in an Excel spreadsheet, but "back-of-the-envelope," his chance of making to 86 are well above "nil." Numbers, Ken, are our friends.
The question isn't whether he'll still be alive. The question is whether he'll still be vigorous and sharp enough to crisscross the country during the election cycle when he's 82 years old.
Ever hear Mark Twain's response to the rumors regarding his demise? He said they were exaggerated. One doesn't need to be dead to be too old and tired to run a national campaign.
I've surveyed a number of people in their late seventies/early eighties on this question, both Trump supporters and Trump haters, and the verdict was unanimous: No way does Biden have the strength or energy to crisscross the country in a post-pandemic campaign at 82 years old.
The word of the day is "decrepit".
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/decrepit
The question isn’t whether he’ll still be alive. The question is whether he’ll still be vigorous and sharp enough to crisscross the country during the election cycle when he’s 82 years old.
Yep. He barely managed that this time around- any vigor he once had is long gone along with his mental faculties.
The past two years have been like watching dementia progression in real time. Watching a man give up on a simple thought mid-sentence and blurt out incoherent gibberish should have been enough to tank his campaign but alas.
I wouldn't trust my mother in law to order a pizza, much run a government.
Plus, what he wanted was the ultimate validation for a career politician - the presidency. Now he’s got it. No need to go another term. Especially when the party will be pressuring him to not run.
Trump comes out with incoherent gibberish too. I've seen transcripts that look like word salad. I don't think either of them is the sharpest needle in the haystack and are getting duller.
The Republicans will probably take control of the House in 2022, and we’ll see real stagnation between 2022 and 2024.
IMPEACH!
When the Republicans get control of the House again, they'll hold hearings on Hunter Biden's various activities all day long. We have at three different incidents for them to investigate.
There isn't much to accomplish with an impeachment, though, if Biden doesn't intend to run for reelection anyway.
Incidentally, Nancy Pelosi has already promised that she won't stand for Speaker in 2022. If both Pelosi and Biden are legislating for the next two years like they have no intention of standing for reelection, then we're in big trouble.
They're kamikazes.
Banzai!
Oh no....every favor from Team D must be returned in full measure.
It doesn't matter if there is nothing to accomplish with an impeachment. Just returning the favor is sufficient. Team D upped the ante, and the ante must be met.
You can't impeach someone who has already been declared incompetent and replaced by his VP.
Kween Kamala, however, has a few past indiscretions that might be worse than a phone call.
If you can't trust Willie Brown when he says it wasn't a quid pro quo, then who can you trust?
Bloombert: Trump’s arbitrary troop withdrawals may force Biden to send more troops to a war in Afghanistan he wanted to end 11 years ago.
https://twitter.com/EliLake/status/1329456880331186176
There wasn't anything arbitrary about troops withdrawals that were negotiated more than eight months ago, and if Biden increases troops levels, it will be a violation of our peace deal with the Taliban.
There hasn't been an single attack on U.S. troops in Afghanistan by the Taliban since the day President Trump signed our peace deal wit them, and if Biden breaks that agreement, the blood of every American who dies in Afghanistan because of it will be on his head alone.
P.S. People who insist that we stay in Afghanistan until the Taliban decides to stop being Islamic fundamentalists and agrees to become feminist are the stupidest people on earth--dumber than progressives.
The bad orange man only has until January to start WW3 that the shrieking lefties predicted he would...
I keep waiting for this "finger on the red button" threat the progs have been reeeeeeing about for four years to come to pass, and I keep being disappointed. Someone that supposedly unhinged should have at least nuked San Francisco by now.
Would we really miss SFO all that much?
It's a non-essential city.
So true. And so hard to convince most people of this. Especially when the military keeps telling us that withdrawal would be a disaster. How many mistakes and lies does the military have to make before they lose credibility?
Start up the war machine!
Reason's 'existential crisis' hits Camus levels.
Peace in the Middle East died today. Or yesterday maybe, I don't know.

But he doesn't tweet mean things! Calling your opponents racists and nazis is simply true, not mean! And ignore him telling the press he doesn't like them when they dared to ask him an unscripted question!
Trump has gone well beyond “tweet mean things” to trying to drive the country to civil war and subvert faith in democracy.
Cite?

If that's your idea of 'trying to drive the country to civil war', your TDS is very advanced and we can hope it's soon fatal.
Brain-Damaged Biden is exactly that. It shows....glaringly.
Trump has gone well beyond “tweet mean things” to trying to drive the country to civil war and subvert faith in democracy.
Please. You still buying the "fine people" hoax? If not what else could you possibly be referring to except for mean tweets.
GFY
He has a stuttering problem, ok?
Even though it wasn’t there a few years ago.
So, he's really going for some actual, literal fascism. After 4 years of idiots whining about "fascists".
I am appalled that you would quote Mitt Romney on the election. The man is a literal Hitler who tortures dogs, gives women cancer when he's not keeping them in binders, a vulture capitalist who profits off of other people's misery, writes off 47% of the American electorate as not worth thinking about, lied about Obama refusing to call Benghazi a terrorist attack, didn't pay his taxes for years, ran for President despite not being a legal citizen of the United States, and so much more. The man is a monster, one of the most monstrous monsters on the face of the Earth, and here you are quoting him approvingly? You should be ashamed of yourself!
No "binders filled with women"?
Are you going to start that horseshit again? You damn well knew what he meant, but weren't mature enough to admit it.
Anyone else find it weird that Reason tends to only agree quote Republicans that Vox does?
Nope. What is weird is allying oneself with a childish mad man.
Nobody is allies with you.
Even the enemy of my enemy is not always my friend - - - - - - - -
Oh, that's right, because me, De Oppresso Liber, chemjeff, sarcasmic are all sock puppets of each other. I forgot.
No, it's simply that you're all lefty shits with TDS.
I wouldn't say that's something most of them do, but it's definitely ENB's thing. I understand since she probably hangs out with most of them on a regular basis.
You left out religious extremist / puppet of the Mormon church
Yes! Evil has a voice in the US Senate! And the Mormon church now being lead by a heart surgeon who did pioneering medical research and was on the team that developed the first heart-lung machine. That science-denying monster is pulling the strings!
It is going to be hard on KillAllRednecks to see Romney expressing thoughts that KillAllRednecks would completely agree with.
Romney is right on with his comment, though.
A positive side effect of the pandemic? This past year has brought a huge reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
Positive side effect of what now?

"Its difficult to imagine a worse, more undemocratic action by a US president"
Ok sure, seeing as how we're defining "Democratic" now to mean count every Biden vote by dead person or glitch or unregistered voter, twice if necessary. And disappear Trump votes by the hundreds of thousands. He's very undemocratic.
I guess I missed all the tanks rolling in the street.
Probably because I’m under lockdown.
“Its difficult to imagine a worse, more undemocratic action by a US president”
Except for everything else Trump has done for the past 4 years. I can't believe these people are openly talking shit about Trump, don't they know Trump has people arrested and imprisoned or disappeared for that sort of shit?
You are safe now. Biden will rescue you. Just make sure to use that scented shampoo he likes.

It surprises no one that Romney has difficulty imagining Lincoln, or Kennedy, or FDR, right?

Surprised Dorsey didn't block that tweet as well, since it confirms the existence of Hunter Biden's computer (which Twitter denies the existence of, and has blocked tweets about it).
I cannot find any independent story confirming that Paul Mac Isaac or Paul MacIsaac (not “John Paul”) is closing his shop. What’s the deal with Housley not even getting the shop owner’s name correct in his tweet?
Correcting my own comment: The guy's full name is "John Paul MacIsaac" or "John Paul Mac Isaac".
Still cannot find any independent verification that he is closing his shop.

EXCLUSIVE: On Heels of Diebold/Premier Purchase, Canadian eVoting Firm Dominion Also Acquires Sequoia, Lies About Chavez Ties in Announcement
06/22/2010 02:17 pm ET Updated Dec 06, 2017
'Intellectual Property' of voting systems still owned by firm linked to Venezuelan President, despite press statement to the contrary
PLUS: The election official/e-voting company revolving 'oversight' door continues to turn...
* * *
Canadian-based Dominion Voting Systems has quietly announced its second acquisition of a major U.S. voting machine company in as many months and, right out of the gate, they've lied about it. Not an auspicious beginning for the company which may now, virtually overnight, have become the dominant private e-voting machine company in this country.
In our recent breaking coverage detailing the SEC's fraud lawsuits filed against Diebold and a number of their top executives -- including their former Chief Financial Officer who, as we reported exclusively back in 2007, was the top earner from an apparent insider sell-off at the company just days before its stock would plummet from its all-time high on the announcement of spinning off their troubled election division to a "new" company renamed Premier -- we noted that Diebold/Premier's assets had recently been purchased by a small Canadian firm by the name of Dominion Voting. But Dominion hasn't stopped there.
From everything I've been hearing about voter fraud, the usual sort of Democratic cheating is small potatoes and the real fraud took place within the Dominion voting machine algorithms - has anybody taken any steps to sequester these machines and do a forensic analysis on them? Specifically, to find out if their latest software updates happened to take place on November 4th?
The government can't even keep the Chinks from hacking the OMB database, you really think a bunch of state offices have the capability to audit their electronic voting machines?

POWELL: “The Dominion Voting Systems, the Smartmatic technology software, and the software that goes in other computerized voting systems here as well, not just Dominion, were created in Venezuela at the direction of Hugo Chavez to make sure he never lost an election after one constitutional referendum came out the way he did not want it to come out.”
THE FACTS: No, Dominion does not have any ties to Venezuela, nor does it have a partnership with Smartmatic, according to Eddie Perez, a voting technology expert at the OSET Institute, a nonpartisan election technology research and development nonprofit.
Smartmatic is an international company incorporated in Florida by Venezuelan founders. The company states on its website that it’s not associated with governments or political parties of any country.
___
POWELL: “One of (the software’s) most characteristic features is its ability to flip votes. It can set and run an algorithm that probably ran all over the country to take a certain percentage of votes from President Trump and flip them to President Biden.”
THE FACTS: That didn’t happen. There’s no evidence that any of Dominion’s systems switched votes for Trump to count as votes for Biden. A statement released by the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency, a federal agency that oversees U.S. election security, says there’s no truth to claims that votes cast for Trump were switched to count for Biden or deleted.
POWELL, on reports that a U.S. voting server is in Germany: “That is true, it’s somehow related to this but I do not know whether good guys got it or bad guys got it.”
THE FACTS: No, it’s not true. Powell is referencing a fictitious story that a server hosting evidence of voting irregularities in the Nov. 3 U.S. election was in Germany.
Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas claimed last week that “U.S. Army forces” seized a server from a Frankfurt office. An Army spokesman described allegations that the Army had recovered servers in Germany as false.
Two voting software companies that conspiracy theorists said were linked to the German server — Scytl and Dominion — have both released statements denying those claims.
https://apnews.com/article/fact-checking-afs:Content:9740535009
CLAIM: Dominion Voting Systems, one of the most widely used election technology firms in the United States, is owned by the company Smartmatic through an intermediary company called Indra.
AP’S ASSESSMENT: False. Both Dominion and Smartmatic have released statements saying no ownership relationship exists between the two competing firms. Indra Sistemas, a Spanish company, told The Associated Press in an email it has never developed any project or had a commercial, contractual or corporate relationship with either firm.
THE FACTS: Since U.S. voters chose Joe Biden as their new president-elect, President Donald Trump and his supporters have sought to undermine trust in the results, despite a lack of evidence of any widespread irregularities in the 2020 election.
One strategy has been to launch a barrage of false claims toward Dominion, whose equipment is used for voting and vote tabulation in more than 30 states, including battlegrounds like Michigan and Georgia.
The latest of those claims, amplified by Trump lawyers Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell in recent television interviews, attempted to link Dominion and competing voting technology firm Smartmatic, despite the fact that the two companies have no active partnership or ownership deal.
“Dominion is a company that’s owned by another company called Smartmatic through an intermediary company named Indra,” Giuliani told Fox Business host Lou Dobbs in an interview on Nov. 12. “Dominion is a Canadian company but all of its software is Smartmatic software.”
Dominion, for one, is not a Canadian company. It has been majority owned since 2018 by Staple Street Capital, a New York private equity firm. And both Dominion and Smartmatic have issued statements saying Smartmatic neither owns Dominion nor provides it with any software or equipment.
Powell perpetuated the false claims and implied the alleged connection was a sign of foreign election interference in her own interview with Dobbs on Nov. 15. She further claimed Dominion software had deep ties to Venezuela.
“I can hardly wait to put forth all the evidence we have on Dominion,” she said, “starting with the fact that it was created to produce altered voting results in Venezuela for Hugo Chavez and then shipped internationally to manipulate votes for purchase in other countries, including this one.”
Smartmatic is an international company incorporated in Florida by Venezuelan founders. There’s no reason to believe Dominion has ties to Venezuela, nor a partnership with Smartmatic, according to Eddie Perez, a voting technology expert at the OSET Institute, a nonpartisan election technology research and development nonprofit.
“It appears that Mr. Giuliani is making some wild and unfounded claims that are connecting the dots between companies that appear to be unrelated,” Perez said.
While Smartmatic technology has been used in Venezuelan elections, accusations by government opponents that the company rigged elections there are unsubstantiated. In fact, in 2017, the company accused Venezuela’s government of electoral fraud.
Some social media users attempted to link Dominion and Smartmatic through a company both firms have owned. Smartmatic purchased the voting machine company Sequoia Voting Systems in 2005 but sold it two years later after objections were raised over its partnership with a company in which Venezuela’s government had invested. Three years later, Dominion acquired Sequoia.
Election security experts say it’s difficult to know for certain whether some Sequoia code may be used in Dominion’s software because of the industry’s limited transparency. Both Dominion and Smartmatic say they do not use each other’s software.
“Dominion has no company ownership relationships with any member of the Pelosi family, the Feinstein family, or the Clinton Global Initiative, Smartmatic, Scytl, or any ties to Venezuela,” Dominion said in a statement on its website. “Dominion works with all political parties; our customer base and our government outreach practices reflect this nonpartisan approach.”
Smartmatic concurred in its own statement, saying, “Smartmatic has never owned any shares or had any financial stake in Dominion Voting Systems. Smartmatic has never provided Dominion Voting Systems with any software, hardware or other technology. The two companies are competitors in the marketplace.”
Smartmatic only provided technology and software to Los Angeles County in the 2020 election, the company told the AP. Its technology was not used in any battleground states, including Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, Nevada, Michigan or North Carolina.
A spokesman for Indra told the AP in an email it had no relationship with either company, nor with the 2020 U.S. presidential election.
Dominion has been the target of a number of false claims about the election pushed by Trump supporters, among them that the company switched or deleted votes cast for Trump and that it has ties to prominent Democrats.
There is “no credible evidence” that the 2020 election outcome was altered by exploiting technical vulnerabilities, according to an open letter signed by 59 election security experts and released Nov. 16.
Oregon Democratic Rep. Peter DeFazio and Arizona Republican Rep. Andy Biggs "are expected to introduce a resolution in the House this week that calls for an end to US involvement in the war in Yemen..."

John Kerry Talks ‘Great Reset’: ‘We’re at the Dawn of Extremely Exciting Time’
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/11/19/john-kerry-talks-great-reset-were-at-the-dawn-of-extremely-exciting-time/
In a panel discussion by the World Economic Forum, Kerry said Biden is ready to rejoin the Paris Climate Agreement — which threatens to eliminate more than a million American jobs — and be a driver of the”Great Reset” whereby unelected global bureaucrats are looking to alter the world’s economy by abolishing money, private property, and democracy for the sake of a “New World Order,” according to James Delingpole.
“The notion of a reset is more important than ever before,” Kerry said. “I personally believe … we’re at the dawn of an extremely exciting time.”
Kerry said the U.S. rejoining the job-killing, industry-gutting Parish Climate Agreement is “not enough.”
“I know Joe Biden believes this. It’s not enough just to rejoin [the Paris Climate Agreement] for the United States. It’s not enough for us to do just the minimum of what [the agreement] requires,” Kerry said. He went on:
The Biden administration will focus on every sector of the American economy. There will be a 2035 goal to achieve net neutrality with respect to power and production … we’re ready to come back in and help to lead and raise the ambition in Glasgow to accelerate this incredible capacity for a transformation in the private sector.
NYTimes Says "Great Reset" Is A "Conspiracy Theory" On Same Day World Economic Forum Celebrates It
https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/nytimes-says-great-reset-conspiracy-theory-same-day-world-economic-forum-celebrates-it
The NYT was apparently upset that “The Great Reset” was trending on Twitter and published an article declaring it to be “A baseless conspiracy theory about the coronavirus.”
In reality, the WEF, NGOs and world leaders have for months been hyping the need to exploit the “opportunity,” in the words of Justin Trudeau, provided by the pandemic to achieve “The Great Reset”.
The NYT report mentioned Trudeau, but buried the fact that he had openly labeled COVID-19 an “opportunity” during a UN conference call.
On the same day the Times asserted that the issue was a fever dream of “far-right internet commentators,” the World Economic Forum itself celebrated “The Great Reset” as a way to build “future resilience to global risks.”
Any time a reporter is killed, we should applaud and memorialize the hero who did it.

Team D does that shit. Normal people don't.
Normal people? Sure, almost all the time.
Normal people who feel they've been pushed too far, and see the press as openly hostile to their communities, their families, and their livelihoods? No guarantees there.
Sorry, but the press has taken a side and consequences...well, they can be a bitch.
Note: Being violent got Biden elected. So it's an effective strategy.
I know Joe Biden believes this. It’s not enough just to rejoin [the Paris Climate Agreement] for the United States.
Hey, fucktard, if Joe Biden rejoins the Paris Climate Accords, it will be just for Joe Biden. It's not a treaty, the US Senate never agreed to it, it's not actually legally binding on the United States. And you know this, you're just a lying piece of shit who's going to pretend otherwise, you lying piece of shit.
Just a quick reminder here as well that, for all the screeching that happened by the left about "MUH KURDZ!" when Trump wanted to pull out of Syria, that Kerry only got involved in providing air cover and supplies to them, during the siege of Kobani, because the international press guilt-tripped him and Obama into doing so. Prior to those first airdrops, the position they took was that it wasn't really our problem.

Many live in poor, remote communities where health systems are less resilient, and malnutrition and vitamin A deficiency are already increasing.”
Professor Mulholland said the COVID-19 pandemic had also had a profound effect on the control of vaccine preventable diseases, with vaccination campaigns paused in the early months of 2020 and routine immunisation services greatly disrupted in many countries.
The WHO estimates that by the end of October, 2020, delayed vaccination campaigns in 26 countries have led to 94 million children missing scheduled measles vaccine doses. [emphasis mine]
The Next Act of the Neocons

Even as they castigate Mr. Obama, the neocons may be preparing a more brazen feat: aligning themselves with Hillary Rodham Clinton and her nascent presidential campaign, in a bid to return to the driver’s seat of American foreign policy.
The New Ruling Coalition: Opposition to Afghanistan Withdrawal Shows Its Key Factions
An unholy union of the National Security State and the neocon-backed and corporate-funded Democratic Party are about to assume power: with media-supported internet censorship a key weapon.

There are many places where that answer resides. One can find it right now in the ongoing effort to denounce the Trump White House for attempting to remove troops from Afghanistan, where the U.S. has been fighting and shooting and bombing in a war now about to enter its 20th year. Take a look at who is demanding that those troops remain, and there you will find the real axis of power — all of its component parts — in the United States.

This is not the first time the Trump administration has been condemned after unveiling its plans to withdraw troops from Afghanistan. In July, pro-war Democrats on the House Armed Services Committee, led by their Lockheed-and-Raytheon-funded Chairman Adam Smith, partnered with Congresswoman Liz Cheney and her pro-war GOP allies to block the use of funds for removing troops (not only from Afghanistan but also Germany), as part of a massive increase in military spending.
...Repeatedly citing this New York Times story, based on the claims of anonymous “intelligence officials,” the bipartisan pro-war wing of the Committee insisted that to leave Afghanistan now would be particularly inappropriate and dangerous in light of this dastardly Russian interference. (Top military officials and the commander in Afghanistan later admitted the bounty program “had not been corroborated by intelligence agencies and that they do not believe any attacks in Afghanistan that resulted in American casualties can be directly tied to it,” but by then, the job was done).
And thus did this union of pro-war Democrats, Cheney-led neocons, the intelligence community and their chosen mainstream media outlets succeed in providing the perfectly crafted tool at the most opportune moment to justify blocking an end to America’s longest war. That is precisely the same coalition that drowned U.S. politics for more than three years in the sustained, monomaniacal disinformation campaign about Putin’s takeover of the U.S.
As Trump again signals that he intends in the lame-duck session to withdraw troops from Afghanistan, this same united coalition is working desperately to block it.
This was always why their big shows about "giving up their Republican registration" was just a show. They knew damn well the base was no longer interested in what these losers were selling, so they moved over to where they could keep the grift going.
The state's hand recount of ballots is finished,
That’s not what happened.
congratulations to Joe Biden for turning everything around even before being inaugurated.

Ironic how the Biden campaign created a nonexistent "Office of the President Elect", manufactured phony (but presidential looking) coat-of-arms placards, and put lots of American flags around in order to dupe the public into believing it is an official federal office.
But not one news media story criticizing Biden for creating a phony federal office, and falsely claiming to be a federal official. Isn't it illegal to fraudulently claim to be a federal official (kinda like impersonating a police officer)?
That's a page out of Obo's game plan; he 'created' the 'office of the POTUS-elect' out of whole cloth.
Rather than ask whether conspiracy kookery is relevant to Republican politics at this moment, it would be better to ask if there is anything else to Republican politics at this moment.
What are racism, Nazism, and white supremacy, chopped liver?

Democrats are employing some excellent brainwashing technique to defend the election as fair. Here are some of their tricks.
1. "Refuses to concede" is making you think past the sale that Trump's legal challenges will fail. This is their main persuasion trick.
continued...
2. "Audit" is being used to make a simple recount of (alleged) fraudulent ballots seem as if that could potentially find all types of fraud, which a recount is not designed to do. When none is found (because they are not looking), they will declare it proof there was no fraud.
3. "No evidence" is being used to reframe "plenty of evidence but not yet proven in court."
4. "No WIDESPREAD fraud" is the defense against the allegation of TARGETED fraud in specific swing state cities. This is misdirection aimed at low-information voters, which is most of the public.
5. Massive fraud would be "obvious" if it happened, so therefore it didn't happen. This ignores the entire nature of the allegation -- that it is totally obvious to about half of the country. No one believes Biden got far more votes than Obama.
6. Trump lawsuits are being tossed out of court. The fake news does not tell you the strongest evidence of fraud has not yet been presented to the courts. The first lawsuits were probably just to keep the fraud argument alive while lawyers dug for the good stuff.
7. Character assassination by bad analogy. The fake news is labelling Trump's legal challenges to the election as McCarthyism, racism, and the work of a dictator staging a coup. All of that is fear-persuasion based on bad analogies.
8. Experts and trusted media say no fraud has been detected. What they leave out is that they were not looking for it, and in some cases the people responsible for preventing election fraud are just saying they did a terrific job. This is misdirection.
All good points. The biggest sign for me that the left is full of it are these two facts 1. The right simply wants a transparent and legal process for tallying votes while 2. The left says they want it to be fair but their actions show the opposite.
It would be very easy for them to prove that they actually want a fair election, demand that every state be recounted...even the ones that went to Trump. But I've only seen one person on Twitter say that, which was immediately followed by a bunch of people calling his bluff. The right would like Trump to win but really just wants a fair process. The left really just wants the election to go their way, but deep down they know they can't play by the rules to get there.
Correct.
Audit all the states.
Let's see who really won.
If the left, including Reason, is confident Trump was so hated that he lost (despite adding over 10 million votes) then audits shouldn't be a threat to them.
On point and what I've observed.
It's Orwellian.
Plus I heard Levin argue that lawyers don't need to prove fraud but that what happened in certain states was unconstitutional and thus easier to win. Prove that and votes get over turned. If I understand correctly.
A sitting President can't commit a coup against an uncertified election and therefore against himself.
Next.
On number 7.
Let us not forget that the patriot 'Tail-gunner' Joe in fact did uncover many Communist operatives within the federal government.

BREAKING NEWS:
@MattBraynard's team has found material levels of fraud in key election states.
The rush to certify results from states with known election violations like this would nullify millions of votes that were legally cast by individual voters.
Braynard's team has analyzed pre election day voting results, but states still haven't released Election Day voter file data which has over 40,000,000 votes.
They want to apply the same analysis to this new batch of data as well.
2/x
Braynard and team did sample tests across a number of categories + found meaningful %'s of redflags within their sample sizes for cases such as:
- absentee ballets cast on behalf of people who didn't request them
- absentee ballets that were not counted
- potential double voters
Sample sizes are important because they demand further investigation.
All forensic investigations use samples to begin and when results are meaningful in small samples, the investigation expands to the entire data set.
That's what needs to happen next.
4/x
Here is my interview with @MattBraynard that explains his analysis and what is coming next.
If you want real sober analysis with actual data and figures....

Every heard of a razor?
It comes after denial right? If you can sit here and honestly say there is no evidence or abnormalities statistically in this election, you truly are the biden sycophant you claim you aren't.
Still waiting for you to produce a single, solitary comment of mine to support your assertion.
C’mon! Show one comment where I praise Biden or Democrats! Just one!
Or admit to being a slanderous piece of shit.
If there aren't I'm sure it's just an error of omission on your part.
You read like a DNC talking points missive.
So you’ve got nothing but schoolyard taunts. Thanks for being honest.
Lol. "DNC talking points missive" is a schoolyard taunt.
You're in way over your head, aren't you? You're not even reading what you're responding to anymore. Just throwing out whatever you can.
Did anyone see Crowder about voting patterns in Wayne County?
There was massive fraud.
The biggest.
“In 2018, when 230,000 absentee ballots were cast, 3.5% were rejected for signature mismatches or other reasons. In 2020, when more than 1.2 million absentee ballots were cast, the rejection rate fell to 0.3%.” In Colorado, where database maintenance is strong, the average ballot rejection rate is 0.5 percent.
There was nothing normal about this year's elections. An influx of first time mail in voters... and the issues they've historically had with voting accuracy dropped to almost 0. This is after the huge issues NY and NJ had with the primary mail in ballots that saw rejections rates of 20-30%.

Just to put EVERYTHING into perspective: 15 FBI agents were sent to investigate a tiny rope in Bubba Wallace's NASCAR garage.
And they never did find the racist that tied that noose.
It's going to be a peach watching Reason 'reason' Joe Biden.
I wonder what the Biden/Jo split vote was among the staff.
But I tell you what, in my view, they have forfeited the right to talk about war moving forward. America had their non-interventionist President and Reason pissed on him.
Assuming that senile hoodlum criminal gets in with the female Joker, if I get a whiff of whining about the war machine I will GO LOW MIDDLE AGES on your sophomoric asses.
Robby and Gillespie probably pulled the lever for JoJo.
I bet that the rest, including Katherine "never-vote" Mangu-Ward, pulled the lever for Biden as many times as they could get away with.
Shikha may have wrote Pol Pot in on one of her ballots though, on principle.
Restaurants are having a tough time, but leave it to a couple of real dim-bulbs to miss the memo in a big way:
"San Francisco’s getting an ambitious new pizzeria that creates pies made with food waste"
[...]
"...A swirl of chimichurri might be made with carrot tops, while dollops of ricotta are made from a local farm’s excess milk. Okara flour, a tofu byproduct, is covertly folded into the crust.
Food waste is baked into this San Francisco restaurant’s ethos — making it one of a small number of restaurants in the country that are centering the environment..."

"centering the environment", including the dumpsters behind other restaurants. You'll love the hint of rat shit in the cheese!
I see you're not into washed rinds. Mmmmmm.... dumpster.....
Not everyone spent a few years as an alcoholic.
So you don’t know what a washed rind cheese is. Not surprising.
OMG, I can’t even imagine trying to talk to someone who doesn’t know what washed rind cheese is!
It’s part of what makes me special! Haha.
The ironic thing is homeless shelters can't even serve that kind of stuff without getting sued. But I guess rich environmentalists have lower standard
Who in hell pays money for food made out of garbage?
You've obviously never bought a stadium hot dog.
Yeh. Fuck off.
Reminds me of a restaurant chain here in Pittsburgh that ran an ad campaign announcing it would give a portion of all future revenue to help reduce covid (hoping that doing so would increase sales), and then the restaurant chain filed for bankruptcy several months later (citing its loses due to covid).
Who needs cops to enforce curfews/masks/social distancing when you have Karens with phones and social media?
Last time I went to the grocery store, I would swear some woman was filming me.
The only thing I can think of that I was doing at the time that *might* be film-worthy was not wearing a mask.
While in my car.

Just because bureaucrats have the power to make critical decisions that impact our economy, our jobs, and our lives doesn't mean they aren't incredibly stupid shitheads, who have no idea what they're doing.
Ken, bureaucrats are almost always incredibly stupid officious shitheads with no idea what they're doing and a superiority complex.
They know what they're doing, they're training people to accept curfews and martial law.
they may no be purposely doing the training to get people used to curfews but that won't stop others form taking advantage of the situation. Then there is Newsom who is glowing with power and definately taking advantage, but at least he is sorry he got caught for not obeying his own rules

It is not the job of cops to pick and choose what laws they choose to enforce. This is both shocking and unsurprising coming from people who claim to love "law and order". Also from the same people who will throw people in jail, seize their cars, and ruin their lives for a single use bag of weed because "it is against the law and we are just doing our jobs." All laws need to be enforced.
You have no proof it is the 'same people who will throw people in jail, seize their cars, and ruin their lives for a single use bag of weed because “it is against the law and we are just doing our jobs."' And, I recall you supporting disobedience to unjust laws here. These laws are unjust, if not unconstitutional. Think, don't emote.
I am not a cop, so I am allowed to support the disobedience to unjust laws. Also, of course it is the same people, that is what police do.
You're not supporting the disobedience to unjust laws. You just said all laws need to be enforced. What you mean is you like the new order of left wing terrorism sweeping the country and you want those people to be obeyed. I think you know though exactly how that is going to turn out.
Police need to enforce all laws. Protesters can ethically not obey unjust laws. And the police are obligated to arrest those protesters who are not obeying the law.
You want to live in a world where police enforce all laws all the time?
Going 1mph over the speed limit? Ticket.
Not waiting for the crosswalk signal to change on a totally deserted street? Ticket.
Only getting 99 feet from the entrance of a building to light up your cigarette instead of a hundred? Better believe that's a ticket.
Dog off leash at the park? Shot immediately.
As much as I dislike how the police in our country operate, taking away their ability to exercise any judgement at all isn't going to make anything better.
I think Molly is showing her real first name is Karen.
Yes, I do want to live in that world. Because only by rich white people getting busted for stupid things will we finally get those laws off the books. Police discretion does nothing but let the privileged class off the hook the the laws that they pass. Police discretion is also in effect police deciding what laws apply to who, and that is the job of the legislature.
Also, it's not a law. It's a governor's mandate. Arbitrary, capricious and unconstitutional to boot.
Yes it's enforceable by the police.
Molly, like all progressives, lives in the past, and refuses to acknowledge progress, as it might conflict with her “everything is so terrible and unfair” mindset.
No one is “having their lives ruined over a bag of weed” in 2020. What a drama queen.
Fuck off, slaver.
Sheriffs take an oath to the Constitution. There is a line beyond which "just doing my job" is no excuse.
State level drug laws may be cruel and immoral, but they are constitutional.

Here. We. Go.
@realDonaldTrump tweeted our WI chart but now let's go to Michigan. The key momentum shift happened on Wednesday morning at 6:31AM.
A batch of nearly 150K votes came in.
96% went for Biden
It must have taken them forever to fraud that batch.
Dummies! Check some other boxes too! No time, man.
I don't know if Gillespie, Welch, Mangu-Ward, et al ever read Hit-and-Run anymore but here's a suggestion for the Reason Roundtable... were the comments sections better ten years ago or are the geezers who remember better online banter aging into the cranky "stay off my damn lawn" zone? I've never underestimated the stunning stupidity of Americans--individually or as a group--but fuck if the Trump era hasn't cranked the dumb up to 11.
You can always migrate to Vox if you want a thought bubble.
Ten years ago, we would make jokes about people complaining that the place had gone downhill since Postrel left. Nobody laughs off the people who say the place was better ten years ago anymore. The regular staff here ain't what it used to be.
Gillespie and Welch don't write as often as they did, and people like Cavanaugh and Howley have moved on to greener pastures. Hell, I think Howley is teaching at the Writer's Workshop at the University of Iowa or something like that. Writers like that don't grow on trees.
It's like going to see Zeppelin and then realizing, at the concert, that the singer isn't Robert Plant, the guitarist isn't Jimmy Page, and the songs they're playing were originally recorded by Brittany Spears. Don't be surprised if the audience starts booing.
In their own minds they’re the Traveling Wilburys, in reality they’re Gary Cherone era Van Halen.
you're boring.
I could do with less of the weird, griefer asshole shit that has become more common. And maybe more tolerance for actual libertarians. But I think a lot of the criticism of Reason is pretty valid. It was definitely a better, more libertarian magazine 10 years ago.
Did you say griefer?
Everything Is So Terrible And Unfair! It’s a mindset that’s so alluring and addictive! Virtue signaling opportunities abound!
I try to avoid the criticism of the writers since I like (and appreciate) the comments section, and I haven’t been around here very long, but yeah, the EISTAU is strong here. I can assume from the comments of the long time posters here that things have gone downhill in recent years.
Will be interesting to see how the next few years unfold around here. Is there anything good left about America?
Haha.
Leave it to Pierre Delecto to declare that Trump can't pull a Hillary or an Al Gore.

Finally, some good news.
Biden Says He Will Admit and Grant Permanent Status to Immigrants Who Go on Food Stamps and Medicaid
https://www.cnsnews.com/article/washington/terence-p-jeffrey/biden-says-he-will-admit-and-grant-permanent-status-immigrants
Denying immigration to “public charges,” however, is actually part of U.S. statutory law.
“The Immigration and Nationality Act…renders inadmissible and therefore (1) ineligible for a visa, (2) ineligible for admission and (3) ineligible for adjustment of status, any alien who, in the opinion of the DHS (or the Departments of State (DOS) or Justice (DOJ), as applicable, is likely at any time to become a public charge,” says the regulation the Trump Administration published in August 2019.
“The statute does not define the term ‘public charge,’” says the regulation, “but in a related statute, Congress has articulated a national policy that (1) ‘aliens within the Nation’s borders not depend on public resources to meet their needs, but rather rely on their own capabilities and the resources of their families, their sponsors, and private organizations,” and (2) ‘the availability of public benefits not constitute an incentive for immigration to the United States.”
Before the Trump administration issued its rule, previous administration had not considered aliens who took “receipt of non-cash benefits such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), or food stamps; Medicaid; and housing vouchers and other housing subsidies” as “public charges.”
There will certainly be a lawsuit alleging violations of the Administrative Procedures Act. Team D will have fun dealing with those.
Aliens?
Oh they have been around for a long time. They built the pyramids, Stonehenge and those Inca things. Some of them are in Canada now.

"A positive side effect of the pandemic? This past year has brought a huge reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. "Carbon dioxide emissions from the US economy are nose-diving this year to a level not seen since 1983, according to new estimates by BloombergNEF," notes The Verge. "The planet-heating pollution is on track to fall by 9.2 percent from last year, which the private research organization says would be the biggest reduction on record." Emissions are expected to be down 7 percent globally."
Uh, sure. And if the case fatality rate was 90%, then we could celebrate even bigger CO2 emission cuts.
So, has the amount of CO2 in the air changed by that much, or is it just a projection?
No, it’s just a reduction in the output to the atmosphere. The CO2 already in the air will remain for a very long time.
