To answer the narrator in the clip, I'd say it's because the USA provides 20% of the Israeli defense budget, so unless that were to stop, the USA and its interventionist Senators and Representatives would be criticizing themselves if they are among the majority of pols who approve the funding.
Stewart is making a fair point about one-sidedness, but he hardly strikes me as a non-interventionist.
