Snowden: EU Efforts To Thwart US Surveillance Likely To Fail
Says cloud servers won't "stop the NSA"
European efforts to protect citizens' data against US surveillance by building their own national internet networks are likely to fail, Edward Snowden, the US contractor turned whistleblower, has warned.
In a television interview with German public broadcaster ARD, filmed in Russia, Mr Snowden said national cloud servers were "not going to stop the NSA".
