WASHINGTON, Jan. 8 (UPI) — The National Security Agency is looking into how it could give up control of its massive domestic phone log database, U.S. officials told the Washington Post.

But phone companies, the leading contenders to store the records, have said they don't want to that job, the current and former officials said.
