How E-Cigarettes Lead to Heroin

WNBC, the network-owned TV station in New York City, discovers that nicotine is not the only drug delivered by e-cigarettes:
More and more, people are smoking marijuana out of e-cigarettes and vapor pens—right out in the open with little or no fear of getting caught, users and experts say….
Experts say marijuana doesn't emit the telltale odor when it is smoked, in liquid or wax forms, in an e-cigarette or vaporizer. What's more, since there is no flame, it's easy for the user to stash in a pocket right after taking a puff.
But while marijuana use by adults may be becoming more accepted by some, local law enforcement officials and drug counselors say illegal drugs in e-cigarettes are a danger, especially if minors catch on to the trend….
"I care a lot about it," said Detective Lt. Kevin Smith, who heads the Narcotics Unit for the Nassau County Police Department. "For young people, marijuana is a gateway. The next thing you know they're doing acid, molly, even heroin. I don't like it that people are giving it a pass."….
"Once you try electronic cigarettes, you can become hooked to them, move on to cigarettes and then move on to other drugs," [Assemblywoman Linda] Rosenthal said.
WNBC thus proves once again that pretty much any cool innovation can be viewed with alarm if only we think of the children. But it got scooped on this story by anti-smoking activist John Banzhaf, who more than three years ago added facilitation of cannabis consumption to his list of reasons for fearing and loathing e-cigarettes.

That's Saturday Night Live playing over GTA. You couldn't tell there was a laugh track in the "commercial"?
There is a radio Ad in GTA V for E-meth and E-heroin.
I thought that was it.
That reminds me of the time I thought I smelled some marijuana smoke and then spent the next three years sucking dicks under bridges for hits of jenkem.
Why would you need to suck dick for Jenkem? Unless you need to eat first to get the shit.
I was wondering how long it would take for them to realize we are putting pot in our e-cigs
Explain to me how this works - do you put some sort of liquid extract in the tip or what? You can't really stuff weed in there as far as I can tell.
Google "THC glycerin tincture".
I got to try some extracted hash oil through an ecig on NYE. Pretty amazing, frankly. Every hit tastes like the first hit of a fresh bowl, minimal 'smoke' on exhale, and it seemed like I was getting a bowl's worth of smoking for each vape pull (but I was already pretty tipsy at that point). If I had an easy way to get my hands on the resin - basically looked like oily ganga butter - I'd be all over it.
Why does this level of idiocy never work in our direction? Why can't it be "Obamacare will result in people getting health insurance* so then people will be more likely to engage in high-risk behaviors like jaywalking because it will be covered, so then we can't have any Obamacare"?
*- you know, back when people still thought that it would function on an operational level, in addition to the "magically producing the right amount of goods and services" level that we're currently only a few massive code fixes away from.
Why does this level of idiocy never work in our direction?
Because it is idiocy in the service of a pre-determined conclusion/goal: the growth of the State.

HUH????
Those damn fundy SoCons! When will NYC elect a progressive for once?
..... I did not know this.

For those of us who don't partake this is a much-appreciated feature.
That is a -shitload- of work to smoke some pot. Whatever happened to just rolling a joint?
Wouldn't it be easier to smoke crack out of one of these things?
Winner of the chicken dinner for exceptional post. lol
"For young people, marijuana is a gateway." Bullsh*t. it has been scientifically proven that cannabis is NOT a "gateway drug". That would be alcohol, you boozers. Cannabis is actually used, quite effectively, as a "gateway BACK drug" - as a harm prevention to get people off of deadly drug and alcohol addiction. Money money money. That's what he's concerned about. You don't want your kids doing drugs? Educate them.
Who would have thought Silent Bob would be opposed to a new way to smoke weed?
Silent Bob, no one gives a fuck what you think.
Except for his continuation of his and his brethern's jobs on the other side of the 'thin blue lie'
