Cops Caught on Camera in Late Night Home Entry: "Imma tase the shit out your big ass"
DeKalb County, Georgia

A resident in DeKalb County, Georgia decided to grab his camera when police started banging on his door at 1:30 in the morning. He says he even called 911 to find out what the cops wanted but they didn't tell him. Police say they had a warrant to enter the home based on a civil fine.
"At around 1:30am [sic] my family and I were awaken [sic] by the sound of loud and aggressive banging at our front door. The [a]ggressive nature of the banging frightened us so I walked into the guest room that looks over the front of our house and was shocked when I saw 3 large DeKalb County Sheriff SUV's with large flood lights pointed at our house and windows."
That is the beginning of the description offered for a video posted to YouTube that accuses several officers with the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office of harassing a family late one recent night.
The events depicted in the video, posted by the user yachtclubclthrs, were said to have taken place on July 26.

Authorities told CBS Atlanta no excessive force was used, but admitted the language was inappropriate.
Forget A-Rod, maybe it's time to start testing cops for steroids?

But Supercop Dunphy assures us that cops' out-of-control rage and anger doesn't come from steroids!
Actually, it doesn't. "Steroid rage" is a myth.
The out-of-control rage and anger comes from the type of people who gravitate to the job.
Depends on what you mean by "roid rage"
Increased aggression from higher testosterone is a fact.
The people who gravitate to LE jobs are the type who would gravitate to using chemicals that create a hyper aggressive monster.

"Increased aggression from higher testosterone is a fact."
No, it is not.
Tricker, R. "The Effects of Supraphysiological Doses of Testosterone on Angry Behavior in Healthy Eugonadal Men--a Clinical Research Center Study." Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism 81.10 (1996): 3754-758.
Oconnor, D., J. Archer, W. Hair, and F. Wu. "Exogenous Testosterone, Aggression, and Mood in Eugonadal and Hypogonadal Men." Physiology & Behavior 75.4 (2002): 557-66.
There is however evidence to support the hypothesis that supraphysiological doses of testosterone may increase aggression in men with preexisting psychopathology.
Normal man + testosterone ? roid rage.
Violent psychopath (e.g. Cops) + testosterone = roid rage (sometimes).
""Steroid rage" is a myth."
No it isn't.
Now you've gone too far the other way.
I don't know if "roid rage" is real or not, but either way I think you're right; the problem runs deeper than that. The attitude of the government and the government fellaters plays a far bigger role.
Wonder how much overtime the taxpayers had to shell out for a pointless 1:30 am raid for a non-violent crime. Normal business hours too lame for debt collection?
Isn't dekalb where they caught the cops on the gas station camera planting drugs?
since when do they issue warrants for a civil fine? it's not like they're going to collect it right then and there.
This stuff should be covered by issuing a bench warrant for not complying with a court order and just waiting.
A lot of credit to the man trying to stay calm and film in the midst of that madness.
I am surprised they waited as long as they did and didn't bust down the door. Must be that new professionalism.
It's likely part of their terror strategy to prolong the experience.
Cops have to dispose of that evidence somehow. Why waste it?
Why 1:30 in the morning? For once, I can actually use the phrase, "Gestapo tactics" and not run afoul of Godwin's law.
The Nazis were very successful at applying institutionalized totalitarianism through law enforcement activities. Godwin's law merely addresses flippant comparisons- not actual. In this case one can clearly see that the police are terrorizing a family; a common Gestapo pursuit.
Only wannabe-Nazis are worried about Godwin's Law.
I've noticed that the cop craziness isn't along any Red / Blue lines. The stories seem to come out of TX, GA, and FL with as much frequency as CA and IL. They actually seem to be less frequent in places like MA and NJ.
Some of it is a city / rural thing. I wonder how it will change as it gradually becomes a political issue? Masinstream conservative like Mark Steyn are noticing.

The local political fixation on "law and order" has been widespread in America for decades, and in both parties. Running against endless expansion of police forces and the criminal code has been as much of a "third rail" as being in favor of cutting entitlements.
Dekalb County is very very blue.
Just remember, folks, nothing is more sacred to the state then their precious revenue.
Just wait a couple of years. Didn't pay your Obamacare Penaltax for not buying health insurance? Letter in the mail to remind you? Nope, swat team with 15 heavily armed thugs bust down your door in the middle of the night, shoot your pets, and abuse your family. It's coming, they're only practicing now.
Funny, I guess rockstar games got it right.
I was playing GTA IV the other day and my wife noticed that I could steal a car or even shot people most the time without issue, but run through a toll both and there is an instant alert and two cops waiting on the other side to try and pull you over.
I think she even said, "Wow, They really don't like you messing with their money"
This should be required viewing for all those people who don't believe that there is a gun behind every law, no matter how trivial.
Word.
I don't know why this guy is complaining. The door wasn't beaten down. No dogs were shot.
I suppose the good news is they didn't shoot the toy poodle
NOW can we start shooting back?
Ask Ryan Frederick or Corey Maye.
It should be noted that DeKalb county is suburban Atlanta. It has its sketchier parts. But for the most part is big white suburban America. And this is how people there are treated. Police brutality is now pretty much universal.
Authorities, however, told WGCL that they did have a warrant for Griffin's arrest for failure to pay a civil fine. They also admitted that the language used ? which also included racial slurs ? was inappropriate, but that no excessive force was implemented in her apprehension.
Remember back in the 1990s when Mark Furman once using a racial slur was a big deal?
So a dumbass fringe WR from Philly with no history of racial issues gets drunk at a concert, says som dumb racist things and everyone acts like it is the end of the world with calls for him to lose his career.
But an armed cop does the same thing while threatening a citizen in the line of duty and it is just no big deal?
The cops were black.
The 90's were a better time.
A piece of "big white suburban America" that is majority black, apparently.
This accurately depicts every single DeKalb County cop I have ever encountered in the 7 years I have lived in this county. This is not the nice, "white" suburb as John says. DeKalb, and a majority of the Atlanta metro area is going down rapidly. There are social, economic and political issues here that most people (especially the midwest) can't comprehend and unfortunately will not understand until it spreads into their neighborhoods.
Dude, check a map and try that little thing called Google before you talk nonsense:

If you harnessed the brain power of every cop in DeKalb County, you might be able to power a potato clock.
It wouldn't even be right twice a day.
There's a better way, without the pain in the ass in collecting enough of DeKalb co's finest worst, or all the dead dogs, to power that clock
At what point is it ok to shoot the cops in self defense?
Just shoot!
By sarc's definition, if they're dead, they had it coming.
Name of every member of the "team" via FOI. Research private residence. Pick appropriate time. Kneecap. Repeat.
It worked for Chris Dorner. Now the LAPD respects people's rights.
Authorities told CBS Atlanta no excessive force was used,
That's fucking ridiculous. Every bit of their conduct including the force was excessive. I'd ask what the "authorities" consider excessive but I'm sure I won't like the answer.
