Karl Rove: "The most liberal Republican is Justin Amash"

Via Andrew Kirell's great Twitter feed comes the latest in a long line of skirmishes between the Angry Birds and Wacko Birds of the modern Republican Party—former George W. Bush svengali and current would-be GOP kingmaker Karl Rove criticizing Rep. Justin Amash (R-Michigan) and other staunch libertarian-leaners on Capitol Hill for believing (in Rove's words) that "If it's not 100 percent perfect, I'm voting with Nancy Pelosi." Watch Rove below, as fellow libertarian-basher and GWB-courtier Michael Gerson nods along:

Fat, sweaty bald dude who always looks like he just shit himself vs. decent-looking, articulate young senator who is actually able to smile on camera? Yeah, that's a fight Rove should be picking. How did this moron get a reputation as an evil genius again?
Honestly? Dems just couldn't believe that GWB beat Ann Richards like a drum. And FL's fuckery and the "stolen" election of 2000 just secured it. Alternatively, GWB was a better politician than Gore and just happened to be in the right place for the Republican Revolution in TX.
Because TEAM BLUE only has three caricatures into which they force their political enemies: evil genius, bumbling idiot, or both at the same time. Rove got the first, whereas Bush got the third.
Whenever I read anything about Rove or hear him talk, I am instantly reminded of the kids I went to high school with who were utterly consumed by the politics and intrigues of student government, like it fucking mattered.
If only real government were as unimportant in my life, I might just let them have their circle jerk.
Now they're running your life.
Think Reese Witherspoon's character in Election.
Nice. Not voting with John McCain and Lindsay Graham is the same as voting with Nancy Pelosi. Karl doesn't understand that the two groups are different stripes in the bowl of shit-flavored Neapolitan ice cream.
Voting consistently with either is evil.
There is a difference between not understanding and not wanting to acknowledge.
If all you understand is force, then liberty does not compute.
It's like trying to explain algebra to someone who can't comprehend the concept of zero.
You know what will help the GOP win big in the midterms next year? INFIGHTING!
I hearby swear to vote for the GOP in 2014 AND 2016 if they will send McCain and Graham to the Carousel.
To be fair, it appears that the Democrats are building Carousel--ObamaCarousel.
If there's no one over 30, the health of the population will improve dramatically.
Statistically, this comment is unassailable.
Can't wait to see how they react if Amash runs for the Senate next year and gets the nomination for Carl Levin's seat.
It's probably too much to hope that they throw themselves in front of the nearest train.
Representative Amash does not seem to be polling all that well against any Democratic nominee for the Senate Seat.
One may of course compare to see if he is polling the same or worse or better than any other potential GOP nominee.
Might not Amash's medium term political interests be served by staying in his House district?
You might be right, but he also has really low name recognition, so you have to take any polling with a grain of salt.
That youtube link of Karl Rove from mofo says:
"Sign the petition to arrest Marco Rubio under the NDAA".
?
Well?
I'm asking what that even means. Arrest him for what? National Defense Authorization Act? I don't get it at all.
Talk about not getting it. Remove and replace? No. Remove and let the fucking free fucking market fucking work. Free markets are not imposed by government force. Fuck.
It's like a virulent cancer. Cut it all out, not just the latest growth.
Dammit. I guess I should refresh before replying.
It's obvious to us all. Our government isn't a symbiote. It's not even a parasite. It's a cancer.
It's like hearing a doctor talk about what to replace your cancer with.

Resident Evil was on last night.
Karl's notion of conservative must mean to conserve big government, which sadly could be considered the traditional government for at least century now.
But Amash should come back with a zinger and be proud of being a "liberal", classical liberal, that is
Yeah, yeah Karl. We know what you want. More Bushes, more McCains, more Romneys, more Grahams, more government, but most importantly you want all of the curtains to be RED rather than BLUE.
TEAM.
Okay Emcee Rove, thanks. Please hand over the microphone now and go find a hobby.
Compassionate conservatism: big government liberalism that opposes abortion and gays.
Ham Rove is an idiot.
Justin would actually be the most formidable of the liberty republicans if he ran for president. He's, to
my knowledge, never stuck his foot in his mouth like Rand. I imagine Rove is attacking him because he doesn't have any real dirt on him.
Michael Gerson is a puke. That is all.
