Connecticut Legislators Look to Toughen Laws on Stun Gun Use by Police

The General Assembly may force police officers to undergo additional training in the use of potentially deadly stun guns, and require police departments to report each time a stun gun is used.

Since 2005, 11 Connecticut residents have died after being hit by Tasers and other stun guns, including one stunned by Bridgeport police officers, and there have been dozens of controversial incidents.
