Gov. Perry Defends Targeting California over Jobs
It's not "poaching," it's competition
Gov. Rick Perry said competition always gets "a bit uncomfortable" but he has no reservations about advertising in California and taking multiple trips there trying to lure businesses to Texas.
"This isn't about bashing California. It's about promoting Texas and the economic climate we create," Perry said.
The governor has made numerous forays into California to recruit businesses to relocate. This time, in advance of his trip, the corporate-funded TexasOne took out a small radio ad asking businesses if they want a break for high taxes and regulations.

No defense required; Moonbeam's CA is low hanging fruit for any state with less confiscatory taxes.
