Cop Tases 10-Year-Old, Suit Alleges

The guardian of a 10-year-old boy is suing the New Mexico Department of Public Safety and a state trooper for allegedly trying to force to child to wash his patrol car

A New Mexico state policeman Tasered a 10-year-old child on a playground because the boy refused to clean his patrol car, the boy claims in court.

Guardian ad litem Rachel Higgins sued the New Mexico Department of Public Safety and its Officer Chris Webb on behalf of the child, in Santa Fe County Court.

Higgins claims Webb Tasered the boy, R.D., on a "career day" visit to Tularosa New Mexico Intermediate School on May 4.
