British Journalists Arrested in Phone Hacking Scandal
50 arrests so far in the investigation that has shaken News Corps in the UK
LONDON—British police arrested two journalists who work at News Corp.'s tabloid the Sun on suspicion of conspiracy to corrupt and conspiracy to cause misconduct in a public office.
Police said Wednesday that they had arrested a 51-year-old male journalist, a 32-year-old male journalist and a 39-year-old serving police officer in connection with the continuing probe, which has now resulted in 50 arrests. Police didn't name the suspects. All three men remained in custody as of Wednesday afternoon.
