Reason.tv: Latinos and School Choice - Q&A with Julio Fuentes

Julio Fuentes is the president of the Florida-based Hispanic Council for Reform and Educational Options, which was founded in 2001 to promote school choice as a way to help Latino students get a better education.

Reason.tv sat down with Fuentes to talk about whether school choice is a popular issue in the Hispanic community.

This interview is part of National School Choice Week, a non-partisan initiative to raise awareness of how competition and choice can transform K-12 education.

These Latinos are self-loathing racists. Without centralized direction and control of the schools the Latino students will receive substandard education and will be ill prepared for the rigours of citizenship. We also note that "school choice" is a right wing euphemism for abolishing free and public schools, forcing poor Latino parents into taking second or third jobs to pay for back-alley religious schools taught by non-union scabs.
