Al Qaeda Leader's Anti-Obama Racial Slur Denounced by Black Conservatives
Washington, D.C. - Members of the Project 21 black leadership network are denouncing the racial slur made against President-elect Barack Obama by al Qaeda deputy Ayman al-Zawahiri, and hope al-Zawahiri's crude action is a sobering reminder for the President-elect and his supporters about the harsh attitudes of our nation's enemies.
"While no fan of Barack Obama, I am a proud American. I find this terrorist's remarks directed at our nation's incoming leader to be highly offensive," said Project 21 chairman Mychal Massie.
I hear a repentant al-Zawahiri has scheduled a sit-down with Al Sharpton and Don Imus early next week.

Obviously it's silly, but so is the idea that the world will suddenly be nice to us in the Name of Obama.
Darn. And I was thinking there are dozens of nasty little countries that will have to go for four years without hating us.
the words of Malcolm X... concerning house negroes are confirmed.
Wait, shouldn't that be White House Negro?
*giggles*
I think I read something once about how extremists, both left and right wing, could only tolerate 'the sort of negroes with the 'proper' views and attitudes'.
A Balko post that makes me laugh instead of cry? Awesome.
Hmmm...to imagine Zaws as a sort of Larry David character. "Why can't I say 'house negro'?"
"Oh, oh. I'm so glad your Human Resources person didn't hear you say that." - Stewie - FG "Road to Berlin"
Al Qaeda != the world.
Actually, it's interesting that they felt the need to put this out to try to tamp down his popularity among people whose hearts and minds we're fighting over.
Mister al-Zawahiri! You should be ashamed of yourself. This incident will be recorded in your Permanent Record, and a sternly worded reprimand will be placed in your file.
"Obviously it's silly, but so is the idea that the world will suddenly be nice to us in the Name of Obama."
My hope was always that the really mean people in the rest of the world would be really mean to him, but that it would only make the rest of the world like us better because they were sad we were bullied. Just wait; in a couple of weeks, Belize will be asking us out for prom because it "Doesn't care what al-Zawahiri thinks.
+1 what joe said.
Hmmmm. *rubs chin*
I find their statements to be shallow and pedantic.
Hey, aren't there rules here? Don't they stipulate that Radley Balko's not allowed to win his own thread?
Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last?
I'd like to know when al-Zawahiri will be apologizing the traditional way...by kissing Jesse Jackson's ass.
He IS a frothing at the mouth mass murderer, and sworn enemy of America, the West, Christianity, Modernity, Civilization, and YOU. You expect him to be polite?
He's been trying to push our buttons for years, now, and it looks like he's finally found one that makes us twitch.
"I think I read something once about how extremists, both left and right wing, could only tolerate 'the sort of negroes with the 'proper' views and attitudes'."
I think I read somewhere that any ideological group could only tolerate the sort of people who possess the "proper" views and "attitudes."
We get it. However, it doesn't compare to the Conservative party's unique attraction to racists, or whatever description is currently applied to "hand-me-down" forms of prejudice.
It generally goes hand in hand with the Conservative party's religious base.
He's been trying to push our buttons for years, now, and it looks like he's finally found one that makes us twitch.
I think you misunderstand - he hasn't been trying to push our buttons. We're not the audience for this; we're never the audience for these al Qaeda videos.
Paul, wipe the foam off your mouth.
FM,
You're talking about Republicans, right? In that case, why not troll Free Republic? Here you're arguing mostly with non-cons, so you really aren't accomplishing anything.
