Would the world end if the Court took a “Gap Year”?? Maybe Congress to? The World Series got cancelled in 1994 and everything worked out
As far as I know, the world did not end in 1802, so not for the courts. Hopefully.
Congress taking a gap year, however, would end the world, unless they pass a CR, NDAA extension, and debt ceiling suspension beforehand.
If Congress took a gap year, I figure the president would find a way to raise the money, even if it was somewhat extralegal.
I for one can't wait for the 10-part series, "SCOTUS's failure to publish its calendar means that John Roberts must resign."
