There oughta be a word, Supreme Court edition
A lot of commentary about Supreme Court Justices takes the following form. When the author agrees as a matter of policy with the Justice's rulings, the commentary is a fawning celebration of the Justice's genius and adherence to principle. When the author disagrees as a matter of policy with the Justice's rulings, it is an uncharitable dismissal of the Justice as driven solely by politics.
We really need a word for that kind of commentary, as it would save a lot of time. ("Did you see X's blog post about the Supreme Court?" "I did, but it was just _____.") Suggestions for what the word should be are welcome in the comment threads.
