Impeachment Hall of Shame (and Fame?)
The Reason Roundtable hands out darts and laurels for the impeachment process to date, and also wades into the Democrats' great Gender Wars of 2020.

Will the impeachment trial of Donald J. Trump already be over by the time you listen to this week's Reason Roundtable podcast? Not quite, though who the hell knows what Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R–Ky.) and his caucus have up their sleeves? So, to mark the occasion 33 months after President Trump canned FBI Director James Comey, thus kicking off the first real talk of the I-word, Peter Suderman, Katherine Mangu-Ward, Nick Gillespie, and I hand out our awards for Best and also Worst impeachment-related actor to date. Hint: Lotta libertarians among the former, not so many in the latter.
Because that's not fraught enough, the gang also bandy about Hillary Clinton's spectacular contribution to the Democratic gender wars over Sen. Bernie Sanders (I–Vt.), dissect Joe Biden (and conservative) anger-bearing over Big Tech and Section 230, and point out that Sanders is pretty freaking weird because HE'S A SOCIALIST.

Suderman is such a hack. Trump bends the constitution and should be impeached?
You mean like with a pen and phone?
You mean like handing over pallets of cash in the dead of night?
You mean like targetting political opponents with the IRS?
Get a grip dude
Whataboutitism. Ugh!
Ah, the standard response from partisan hacks when pointing out precedent.
But what you are objecting to isn't even "whataboutism". Trump has not engaged in massive executive overreach, he has not tried to mollify foreign dictators by bribing them, and he has not abused the IRS to target political opponents.
"Sanders is pretty freaking weird because HE'S A SOCIALIST."
Next... Water is wet!!! More at 11:00!!!
Ugh, Suderman...
Suderman is shockingly stupid on so many levels.
Is this big or what? Thanks to Bob Armstrong for this link:

I'm not sick of so much winning, I'm really enjoying it. I hope a lot of libertarians in the USA realize we've got a good thing going, and maybe Trump's just the beginning of it.
Conor McGregor today praised Trump as one of the greatest presidents ever...then you have the woke cosmo Reason crowd. Trump is between you and the Bolsheviks who would destroy the Bill of Rights in a seconds if allowed (its in their genes). But be wokie reason...open borders is more important than peace and ending the Fed...
Thanks to Democrats laughable conduct, Trump is the greatest President in US history.
Only President to survive a coup and joke partisan House Impeachment.
This place kinda has gone really downhill. It’s fucking scammers and GOP Dear Leader worshippers every fucking where you look. Which one is worse, I wonder.
Retarded scum like you degrade the level of discussion. Your ad hominems and recycled braying points are pointless.
You never made it uphill. You've always been in the gutter.
As if the swearing raises the level of discussion.
Your problem is that you are confusing opposition to the reprehensible conduct of Democrats and insistence on the rule of law with "worshiping Trump".
Firing Comey was sleeves?!?
He’s about to be indicted himself
Skeevy, damn autocorrect
An awful podcast, maybe the worst ever from Reason.

Unreason.....oh, how the once mighty have fallen.
I listened to the better part of seven hours of Team D House Managers making their case yesterday. This is history in the making, regardless of where you stand. They clearly made the most of Speaker Pelosi's delay in sending the articles of impeachment - their presentation was rehearsed. Effective use of multi-media.
Yesterday: Hours upon hours upon hours of chronology. Mind numbing detail.
Today: More mind numbing. We will be treated to Team D House Managers pretending they are constitutional scholars. They will channel their inner Noah Feldman or that other uber-libtard Kaplan.
Tomorrow: Mercifully, the Team D House Managers rest their case.
One thing though....it is decidedly stupid to lambaste the people sitting in judgment, which is what Team D House Managers did repeatedly.
