ALCOHOLICS could face mandatory rehabilitation in tough new prison farms under controversial plans put forward by the Northern Territory opposition Country Liberal Party.

The plans, which aim to reduce the costs associated with problem drinking, would apply in all areas and not be restricted to Aboriginal communities.
