Rudy Giuliani, You're Makin' Me Hot!

|

There are only so many ways to ask "do you have a favorable or unfavorable impression of presidential candidate X?", so Quinnipiac University conducted a survey of how "warm" people feel toward certain politicians.

You can choose any number between 0 and 100. The higher the number, the warmer or more favorable you feel toward that person, the lower the number, the colder or less favorable.

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani was the undisputed winner of the poll, with 63.5 percent of the polled wanting to take him and snuggle up with a nice pot of hot cocoa. The warmest Democrat is—astoundingly!—not Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.), but novice Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.). Republicans run the top and bottom of the scale, as most people kind of like Giuliani, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, but most think Sen. Bill Frist (R-Tenn.), President Bush and the president's non-Rice cabinet are not at all cuddly.

Tim Cavanaugh reviewed one glowing biography of America's Mayor back in 2005.
