Brickbat: Injustice Is Blind

Officers Jorge Acosta, Benjamin Harris, and Kyle Sue from the Phoenix Police Department were suspended for 24 hours without pay, and two of them were also required to take de-escalation training, after violently arresting Tyron McAlpin. The officers were responding to a call that a white man allegedly assaulted a convenience store employee and was still inside the store. McAlpin—who is black, deaf, and has cerebral palsy—was outside the store. The incident, caught on body camera video, showed the officers punching and tasing McAlpin almost immediately after arriving. The district attorney dropped all charges against McAlpin, including assault and resisting arrest, citing lack of evidence.

The three orificers heard vices and voices in their heads (vices and voices Blessed by Trump and Vance) that said that black men like Tyron McAlpin are Haitian illegal sub-humans who steal and eat our Dearly Beloved Pets... So they gave to Tyron McAlpin, twat belongs to Tyron McAlpin! So TWAT is the issue here?
The district attorney dropped all charges against McAlpin, including assault and resisting arrest, citing lack of evidence.
And called it a day, apparently? No assault charges for Keystone Cops trio.
QUALIFIED IMMUNITY
EVERYONE GOT HOME SAFE
Qualified immunity wouldn't apply to criminal charges.
Promoted them to ICE
Separate action, but on that front they were given a day off and 2 even got more training.
Pick up the 'usual' suspects'
God, I love it.
Dismissing charges for lack of evidence were body cameras were used?
I'm just glad they filed charges against those officers for filing a false report, battery, false imprisonment, etc, and didn't just give these cops a slap on the wrist like a suspension without pay for a day.
I mean, if they had done that, it would be a travesty of justice, so it's good that isn't what happened... :-/
The charges dismissed for lack of evidence were against McAlpin, not the officers.
White? Black? Inside? Outside? Meh...
Cops are supposed to be "color blind" but damn.
CB
A certain Arizona resident stalker must be disappointed none of the cops were named Jesse.
They thought he was an illegal immigrant so it's ok.
Ah, the colorblind world of every Leftist's dreams.
Its kinda hilarious, really. There's, like, 15 black people in Phoenix and the cops can't seem to help themselves.
Where is AT with his “the cops did their job, nothing to see here” comment?
"There's more to the story."
"Tyron? The name tells you all you need to know."
"I just can't with you Ollie, what's the real story here?"
"it's the D.A.'s fault."
And other ball-gargling chestnuts.
A one-day suspension without pay and some retraining?! Totes harsh, much punish. I'm sure they learned their lesson, yup yup.
