Brickbat: Sic Behavior

Sacramento County officials have agreed to pay $755,000 to settle a lawsuit brought by Salvador Garcia Jr., who was severely injured by a sheriff's office canine in September 2022. Garcia was riding his bike when Deputy Dylan Black stopped him, suspecting him of breaking his ex-girlfriend's window earlier that day. According to the lawsuit, Black ordered the dog to attack Garcia, and the dog bit his arm so badly that it tore muscles and tendons, requiring multiple surgeries and leaving permanent damage. The lawsuit says Garcia wasn't resisting when the deputy set the dog on him and that deputies allowed the dog to continue biting Garcia as they handcuffed him.

The mandible of the broken window.
To a hammer dog, everything is a chew toy nail.
So, either the cop did what Garcia said and commanded the dig to attack for no reason, and that would be wrong, or there are other circumstances. There is not much to debate about here.
We could debate whether there are any possible circumstances under which police could justify police allowing a police dog to do that much damage to a suspect.
In my opinion that should require circumstances that would justify the use of lethal force.
Knowing a lot of Mexicans in Cali, the German Shepard was far nicer then other Mexicans to a old dude on a bike
I'd rather the dog handler be on the hook for $755,000 than the city (taxpayers).
Taxpayers should hound the K9 officer about this.
I bet the mfer laughs about it with the other cops.
