Ron DeSantis Wouldn't Say No to Ethnic Cleansing in Gaza
But he would say no to pro-Palestinian speech.

In Wednesday's Republican presidential debate, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis refused to say he'd oppose the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from the region.
"I think to be a good ally, you back them in the decisions that they're making with respect to Gaza," DeSantis said. "For us, to be sitting in in Washington second-guessing them, I don't think that's the right way."
When asked to clarify whether he would support the mass removal of Palestinians from Gaza, DeSantis said that he was "not going to tell them to do that" and that "there's a lot of issues with that." Then he added: "But if they make the calculation that to avert a second Holocaust, they need to do that, I think some of these Palestinian Arabs, Saudi Arabia should take some, Egypt should take some."
DeSantis also criticized the idea of a two-state solution to the conflict, arguing that a Palestinian state could be a step towards Israel's "destruction."
"We also have a disagreement, Gov. Haley and I," DeSantis said. "When she was at the [United Nations], she supported the idea of a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinian Arabs. The problem with that is the Palestinian Arabs don't recognize Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state. So doing a two-state solution doesn't create something that's going to lead to a lasting peace. It creates a stepping stone for Israel's destruction. So under no circumstances as president am I going to pressure Israel to risk their security to do a so-called two-state solution."
DeSantis has a history of taking heavy-handed measures to prove his pro-Israel bona fides.
In October, his administration attempted to shut down Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) chapters at two public Florida universities, claiming that the groups violated a law banning "material support" for terrorist organizations—a move that clearly violated the First Amendment.
"Based on the National SJP's support of terrorism, in consultation with Governor DeSantis, the student chapters must be deactivated," wrote State University System of Florida Chancellor Raymon Rodrigues. "These two student chapters may form another organization that complies with Florida state statutes and university policies."
In November, Florida quietly walked back those plans, citing concerns about "personal liability" for those tasked with directly derecognizing the groups.
DeSantis has made a trademark of mixing flashy rhetoric with doomed-to-fail violations of the Constitution. So it's hardly surprising that he would try to quash constitutionally protected criticism of Israel. Apparently, he's even willing to be ambivalent about a hypothetical ethnic cleansing.

Emma did the thing. Where an idiot activist reporter asks a leading question to promote her religion.

Huh. I mean, not ideal, but perhaps not the worst thing in the world. For some strange reason, the title made this sound so much worse. Probably accidentally poor phrasing.
For some reason?
Remember, Emma's the one who reported on a study showing high school boys skewing more conservative, and concluding that that could make them white nationalists and terrorists.
Her hot take? Don't worry, not that many are really conservative. Not "rejecting the modern left doesn't make you a violent extremist." No problems with the ridiculous and offensive idea that conservative means you're basically a klansman. No. Didn't even cross her mind.
This cunt peaked when she couldn't find a beer. She's an insular, beltway progressive who lacks any concept of self reflection. Definitely shouldn't be writing for an ostensibly libertarian website.
This is why we can't have a like button.
What about the ethnic cleaning of non-Muslims from basically every single Muslim country in the Middle East. Lebanon was the last majority Christian country in the region, but Hezbollah pretty much took care of that. The Copts, the literal descendants of the Ancient Egyptians are hanging on, but are repressed.
When Muslims don't want to live with you, what is the answer? Die? Move yourself?
Oh, silly, nobody ever cares about that. It's only the West Jordanian trash that anyone has any sympathy for. They've done so much to earn it, after all.
Hey genius, the only Christians Hezbollah has ever shot at were militia members who fought for the Israeli invaders during the Lebanese civil war from 1985 (when Hezbollah was founded) to 1990. They were in a political alliance with the largest Christian party in Lebanon from 2006 until 2022. They also defended Christian villagers in Maaloula (in Syria) and Ras Baalbek (in Lebanon) from ISIS. Christians live in parts of Lebanon controlled by Hezbollah without any problems. If you want to condemn them for being an Iranian proxy (which is the main criticism Lebanese Christians have against Hezbollah) go ahead, but don't pull fake news out of your ass to justify hatred of an entire religious group.
Ron's ambiguous obsession with ethnic cleansing has no boundaries. Just ask Mickey!
Oh, was there some sort of vice presidential hopeful debate tonight that I didn't give a shit about?
Thanks for watching it for me.
And so we have a demonstration of why Emma Camp was so worried earlier this week that Florida might actually make it easier to sue liars for defamation.
I realize that those without some background might not quite understand why I'm calling Emma Camp a liar.
Of the 2.1 million residents in Gaza, 1.7 million, or 81%, were registered refugees by the United Nations before the renewal of fighting in October. The moving of refugees from a place where they have been subsisting for decades on an international public dole to a place where they could have settled permanent homes and build actual lives is not "ethnic cleansing" by any standard except that of a disingenuous cunt writing a deliberate hit piece.
Oh, fuck off Emma. What Ron insinuated was that the Gazans move to Jordan, Egypt, or any of the other surrounding Muslim countries. The current state is unsustainable where Israel is expected to support a people on/in their border who actively seeks to commit actual genocide.
I'll say he did whiff on the question a bit, but this headline and tone are just you making up shit (essentially lying) because you are biased
The US taxpayer should not be forced to fund at least one of the participants.
And he is absolutely right.

The left did it first so it's ok. Remember folks, the only way to beat evil is to become even more evil. That means you've got to be even more dirty and immoral than the left, and pay the Constitution even less heed than the left. Moral high ground is for losers.
Thanks for the pro-genocidal terrorist opinion and support Emma, not nearly enough of that among you leftists these days.
His views make more sense than wasting any more time on a '2 State' solution, unless you are talking about North and South Israel.
After 30 years his ideas make more sense than a 2 State solution.
DeSantis has ALSO not spoken out about how bad the First Order was to Rey and whatever loser Star Wars geeks were in the last 3 Star Wars movies.
Also, has not condemned COBRA's actions in re G.I Joe.
I have never --- not once --- heard DeSantis say he would NOT support Megatron against the Autobots.
Tune in tomorrow for more "DeSantis did not condemn fictional shit"
Israel's population includes 2 million Arabs, about 20% of the population. Every Arab nation and Iran have ethnically cleansed themselves of 95% of their Jewish population, forcing them to emigrate to Israel as refugees. Emma has no problem with this mass ethnic cleansing. When Israel left Gaza in 20005 there were 9000 Jews living there, among about 1.5 million Arabs, and this was too many Jews for the Arabs. Despite their desire to remain and work in Gaza, at farms and greenhouses they started, the Arabs forced every one of them to leave. They cannot tolerate even one Jew living amongst the. Emma has no issues with the ethnic cleansing of Jews, makes no mention of it.
FYI Steven, "Arabs" are a linguistic group, not an ethnic one, so whatever Iraqis, Syrians or Moroccans may have done 70+ years ago isn't Palestinians' fault. Second the settlers leaving Gaza was part of Israel's disengagement, not ethnic cleansing. Are you sure you're a libertarian? You sound more like a neocon.
"The Arabs, also known as the Arab people, are an ethnic group mainly inhabiting the Arab world in Western Asia and Northern Africa." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arabs
Arabic is a language spoken by Arabs and non-Arabs. There are many ethnic groups speaking Arabic, but there is also an Arab ethnic group.
Yes, the settlers leaving was part of the Israeli agreement. It was still an ethnic cleansing, only it was one agreed to by the Israeli gov't. Many settlers had to be taken out by force (by the Israeli gov't).
The simple truth is that Hamas has publicly stated it's goal of ridding the Palestine region of Jews ... ethnic cleansing. They began a brutal, total war with Israel. One that wd end if Hamas wd surrender. They refuse. The war goes on.
Gaza delenda est.
We need a zero state solution for the middle east. An oil rig that can punch through 6 feet of radioactive glass.
"Terrorist" isn't an ethnicity.
Why was this crapola published in Reason???
How is any "ethnic cleansing " going on???
When all the Jews left Gaza, that was ethnic cleansing.
When the Jews were removed from most Arab nations , that was ethnic cleansing.
When Jews try to kill Hamas terrorists in Gaza, that is NOT ethnic cleansing, it is rat killing.
