Brickbat: I'm Telling You, She's Crazy

Pennsylvania State Trooper Ronald Davis has been charged with felony strangulation, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment, simple assault, and official oppression. Prosecutors said he abused his powers to have his ex-girlfriend involuntarily committed to a hospital after an argument, where she was held for four days. While serving the warrant for her commitment, video showed Davis tackling the woman, sitting on her, and appearing to restrain her by the neck when taking her into custody. In a press release, the district attorney's office said text and video communication between Davis and the woman showed she was not suicidal as Davis claimed and that the commitment was improper.

Pennsylvania State Trooper Ronald Davis agrees with a fair number of comments that I see here on these pages. Anyone who disagrees with MEEEEE, must be crazy, and deserves to be committed to shrink-prison (the loony bin, of course, I mean)!
It's an old story...
All of those who disagree with MEEEE are… Mentally ILL!!! YES, this! Good authoritarians KNOW this already!

All of the GOOD totalitarians KNOW that those who oppose totalitarianism are mentally ill, for sure!!!
Compliance or violence. Although you don’t normally see a cop getting a judge to sanctify bringing institutions to pile on in the domestic abuse. Usually it's just colleagues looking the other way.
This is *exactly* the sort of thing that happens when you fall into that sense of security that they're not out to get you.
The funny thing is he actually had colleagues trying to protect him from himself beforehand and yet he plowed ahead.
To many with an ex who probably should be committed, for reals, this is deeply offensive . . .
>>video showed Davis tackling the woman, sitting on her, and appearing to restrain her by the neck
"no no, we call that Tuesday in our house. everything's fine."
Your honor, I submit that my ex-girlfriend is out of her mind because anyone who would date me and leave would have to be crazy.

Were this to have happened in Florida, there's wonderful news for the abusive boyfriend. People being involuntarily committed (Baker Acted) have all their firearms confiscated by the police and are further told that, until their rights are formally restored, even being in posession of a spare cartridge would be cause for a criminal conviction. Pretty helpful to disarm the accused person so their abusive boyfriend can safely attack without fear of the most effective defenses.
I bet she's learned to not date cops.
I doubt she changes.
felony strangulation
So, from a libertarian perspective would evidence of frequent, willing participation in misdemeanor strangulations constitute a viable defense or not?
Fire Him and don't let him have qualified immunity.
She should already have a lawyer working on the old 40% commission to sue the State, City, and the cop. I am thinking $2-5M should do it.
