Rep. Linda Sanchez speaks at the 2016 Democratic National Convention. | Consolidated News Photos/Newscom
(Consolidated News Photos/Newscom)

Rep. Linda Sanchez (D–Calif.) clearly thought she had a "gotcha" moment during a hearing of the the House Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government. Sanchez asked FBI whistleblower Marcus Allen if his Twitter account was @MarcusA97050645. "That is absolutely not my account, ma'am," Allen said. But Sanchez pressed on, asking about a tweet claiming former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi staged the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. When Allen tried once again to tell her that wasn't his account, Sanchez berated him for interrupting her. She finally seemed to acknowledge the account did not belong to Allen but still insisted on asking if he agreed with the tweet. He said he did not.

His comment should have been to refuse to answer since she didn't know that wasn't his account, he had no idea if she was quoting anything in a random Twitter thread accurately and he couldn't comment until reading it for himself if it was even posted. In other words, he should have replied it wasn't his account and she wasn't smart enough to believe anything that came out of her mouth.

I understand the how and why he didn't but he should've refused to answer the question for lack of knowledge about the post and, when she persisted, gone full scorched Earth on the whole stupid tactic.

Do you believe Joe The Plumber is a dog-faced pony soldier, ma'am? That Joe Biden withheld aid to Ukraine in order to end the investigation into his son's employer? My answer to your question is no more or less affirmative and with less veracity or relevance than your answers to those questions; and any refusal to answer on my part is less contemptible. I don't despise @MARCA314159265 for his Tweet nor did I extort anyone in defense of it. To waste our time, the taxpayers' money, your constituents time and money in such a fashion is far more contemptible than my answer to that completely immaterial question one way or the other. If you want answers more pertinent to the hearing you're conducting, come up with better questions.

There you have what passes for the intelligence of the average congress critter.

This was even more hilarious when I first saw the video. You can see how she was so sure she had found something to discredit the guy, and then got flustered when she suddenly realized there might be more than one person out there named Marcus Allen. She can now join the ranks of Representatives like the one who feared Guam would capsize if too many people stood on one end of the island.

I’ve long held that politics is basically a jobs program to help people with intellectual deficits get well-paid and influential work. I also have to admit that it’s one government program that works really well. The winning candidates are actually getting steadily dumber.

Just remember : YOU ARE READING THIS ON THE INTERNET too 🙂

Biden and Harris are as stupid and lazy as can be so this person really is of no interest to me.

That person is just the same as the Biden who was made a fool of by Thomas Sowell years ago, or who was made to look uneducated by Clarence Thomas when Biden did his famous "you know and I know" and then proceeded to show that he didn't know sht 🙂

I just heard our godawful stupid VP say pure sht

    QUOTE
"So I think it’s very important — as you have heard from so many incredible leaders — for us, at every moment in time, and certainly this one, to see the moment in time in which we exist and are present, and to be able to contextualize it, to understand where we exist in the history and in the moment as it relates not only to the past, but the future. "

If you voted for her you hate your country.
