Maybe 'Marshal Law' Can Save the Republican Party?
Unfortunately, the reality is something far more sinister.

In the "Marshal Law" comic-book series, Law is the last name of a law-enforcement officer "with superpowers in the city of San Futuro, the near-future metropolis built from the ruins of San Francisco following a massive earthquake," according to Wikipedia. I've never read these comics, but they offer a satirical take on superhero characters and our government.
Perhaps some Republican officials mixed up the Marshal Law character with the term "martial law"—defined by Investopedia as "the substitution of a civil government by military authorities with unlimited powers to suspend the ordinary legal protections of civilian rights."
I'm referring, in part, to text messages that Donald Trump's Chief of Staff Mark Meadows released to Congress' January 6 select committee, which is examining the Capitol breach that many Trump supporters continue to depict as a jolly stroll through the Capitol that went awry. The texts portray something far more sinister.
Talking Points Memo found that 34 GOP members of Congress texted Meadows about the day's events, including messages "rife with links to far-right websites, questionable legal theories, violent rhetoric, and advocacy for authoritarian power grabs."
Rep. Ralph Norman (R–S.C.) offered the best reminder that one need not be a statesman (or brain trust) to win a seat in Congress: "Mark, in seeing what's happening so quickly, and reading about the Dominion law suits (sic) attempting to stop any meaningful investigation we are at a point of no return in saving our Republic !! Our LAST HOPE is invoking Marshall Law!! PLEASE URGE TO PRESIDENT TO DO SO!!"
Of course, Twitter went wild with the misspelling, but Norman's content was no laughing matter. When Huffington Post asked him, Norman seemed embarrassed by the typo and offered an excuse worthy of a social-justice warrior: "I was very frustrated then, I'm frustrated now." Oh yeah, frustration is a totally legitimate rationale for dictatorship.
Many Republicans love Donald Trump because he doesn't sugarcoat his opinions, yet neither Trump nor many prominent Republican officials can talk about what transpired on January 6 without euphemisms or evasion. "To see what is in front of one's nose needs a constant struggle," Animal Farm author George Orwell wrote. As I've noted before, the GOP and its MAGA base refuse to see what's right in front of their noses.
After losing dozens of court reviews of his election-fraud claims, President Trump refused to concede defeat and threatened the peaceful transfer of power that has been one of this nation's hallmarks. His legal team concocted bizarre legal theories to let him stay in power. Some supporters stormed the Capitol—and Trump has vowed to pardon the trespassers and rioters if he wins a second term.
During the fracas, many members of Congress communicated with the president's chief of staff and conspired to overturn the election results. Rep. Jim Jordan (R–Ohio), texted the following: "On January 6, 2021, Vice President Mike Pence, as President of the Senate, should call out all electoral votes that he believes are unconstitutional."
These are top U.S. officials, not Twitter trolls.
Some of these Republican House members dressed up their efforts that would have destroyed our republic in constitutional-sounding verbiage. Jordan, for instance, argued that letting Pence throw out any inconvenient electoral votes was "in accordance with guidance from founding father Alexander Hamilton and judicial precedence."
That might have made him feel better, but it no more makes those efforts constitutional than communist North Korea's "Democratic People's Republic" nomenclature makes it a democratic republic. By the way, Meadows didn't ignore Jordan's proposal, but responded as such: "I have pushed for this. Not sure it is going to happen."
This was an active effort to subvert our democratic system. For those who still scoff at the idea of January 6 as anything significant, here is what Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R–Ga.) recently told a group of New York Republicans: "And I will tell you something, if Steve Bannon and I had organized that, we would have won. Not to mention, it would've been armed."
Take heart that only one member called for martial law. Then again, former President Trump demanded something similar in a Truth Social post earlier this month He called for the courts to invalidate the 2020 election and noted: "Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution (italics added)."
When the federal government declares martial law or terminates the rules and articles of the Constitution, it gains unlimited power to do whatever it wants—take your guns, steal your property, quash your speech, and put you in prison. It's hard to believe that a former president (and leading presidential candidate) thinks this way, so I'm going to stick with the story that Republicans simply want superhero Marshal Law to save them.

To see what is right in front of one’s nose needs a constant struggle indeed, Greenhut.
To see what is right in front of one’s nose, if one is a right-wing wrong-nut, is one's GIANT boner for a 1-party "R"-Party state! Yet NONE of these power-lusters can name me ONE historical example of a 1-party state that brought about long-term peace and prosperity!
Say's the Democratic Party propagandist. You're not tricking anyone, Shillsy.

When Rome WAS successful, it was when Rome was a REPUBLIC, with shared powers shared by the land-owners and a Senate, at least... The only "evasion" regarding January 6, 2021 is coming from the former Speaker, Nancy Pelosi.
Precisely.
I am astonished at the willingness of putative outsiders to repeat the party line, however tenuous or even laughably false it is.
We just had another confirmation of the government (in the form of unelected partisan bureaucrats) using state power to rig elections by controlling what the media reported and what social media would allow to be discussed. This is a continuation of the attempt to overthrow the 2016 election using a fake conspiracy theory concocted by the same group of unelected bureaucrats and a group of politicians, both elected and unelected.
This attempt to overturn the 2016 election was in turn a continuation of the attempts of the Obama white house and the same group of bureaucrats to rig the 2016 election using the power of the FBI and CIA and the FBI media control apparatus.
This much is all entirely confirmed and unequivocally true.
What we don't know is to what extent these same groups were involved in other events of the 2020 election and the aftermath. Pelosi certainly acted strangely in denying the capital police additional personnel and in rejecting offers from the administration to add national guard troops to the defense of the capital. It is even more strange that nobody has even bothered investigating this.
In the aftermath of the spying by the Obama administration, it was revealed that they framed Flynn. We learned that at least one judge and 1 full banc appellate court was willing to ignore the law in order to defend the frame job. The same appellate court happened to issue a ruling that went against established law and precedent in order to protect a Democrat presidential candidate the same week.
So we know at least some of the courts are willing to use their office to defend a major threat to our rule of law and our democracy. And we also know that no of those court challenges to the election were actually decided on the merit. In fact, there were many massive violations of election law that were never given a day in court. They sued to stop them before the election and were denied a day in court due to standing - a laughable decision. Then they sued again on the same grounds after the election and were denied a hearing because the issue is moot. Again, a laughable decision.
But we don't know what that means. Are there just biased judges covering for overreaching officials? Or did those illegal actions actually facilitate the rigging of the election? Nobody knows because nobody is asking the question. The press isn't covering it at all. And social media will ban you if you talk about it.
That should raise some red flags for you all by itself. But now we know that the FBI has an entire operation to tell the press what to cover and what bot to cover, and an entire operation to suppress any talk of disfavored topics online.
In that world, the fact that you are not allowed to talk about it online should be a smoking gun, not just a red flag.
Nobody is banned for claiming that we never went to the moon. They might get a counter-argument flagged to their post... but they don't get banned.
Kari Lake got banned from all social media while running for Governor. One of the biggest channels on YouTube got suspended for merely posting an interview with her. Nobody here thinks that is a threat to democracy?
No?
We are going to go with an obvious lie and a kangaroo court instead?
Arguing that the "do not certify the electors" gambit was a fringe legal theory js legitimate commentary.... but it was not unprecedented. Democrats tried to replace electors in every election they lost since the 90s. These were the exact same people, so it isn't like they don't know this.
Pretending that this January 6 committee is a real congressional committee and that their reports and findings should be taken seriously is immediately discrediting. Pelosi refused to seat Republicans appointed to the committee and instead selected 2 (but only 2) enemies of the administration. 7 democrats... the same democrats who repeatedly lied about and attempted to use the spying by the Obama administration on the Trump campaign to overturn the election from 2016... and only 2 Republicans.
Reporting on that as anything other than a taxpayer funded partisan political operation is laughable. One would have to be an idiot to treat it any other way..... unless..... one were also on the list of people receiving instructions from the FBI and the DNC. In the aftermath of the Twitter revelations, following the cocktail hour mob is ill-advised.
Can somebody check… did anyone at Reason compare Zelenskyy with Churchill yesterday? That was the most cringe inducing order… obeyed by all the media outlets
But it was very revealing. Directly in the aftermath of the Twitter files proving that the FBI has been telling the media how to report, they went with something this traceable and obvious. Every news outlet compared Zelenskyy with Churchill… some even saying he was much better than Churchill. The dude jailed the opposition candidate, outlawed the opposition party, banned opposition press and banned major Christian churches. You would think that would tarnish the “he is a greater champion of democracy than Churchill” talking point and give at least some editors pause.
But no… they all ran with it.
"The dude jailed the opposition candidate"
Are you referring to Churchill locking Oswald Mosley up for the duration?
"and banned major Christian churches"
Yeah, but fuck Catholics, amirite?

There, I think that’s a wrap! I’ve covered it ALL! You can take the rest of the day off.
(You’re welcome!)
I appreciate your sober, fair-minded and reasonable take on Trump's actions, but feel compelled to point out a few obvious faults with your exposition:
Jest: Trump was speaking in jest when he said he could fire a shot down 5th Avenue and it would not affect his popularity. I can tell that you lack a sense of humor because you cannot even quote his jest accurately. He did not command that that would be the case.
On the other hand, BEFORE he won the 2016 election he has been inundated with baseless accusations and outright lies in an attempt to destroy his effectiveness as President.
Despite the unrelenting attacks, he accomplished far more good for the American People than any democratic president ever has.
That is the reason that anti-Trumpers have been foaming at the mouth, despite successfully replacing Trump with Biden.
All of the anti-Trumpers are now stuck with the results of their efforts.
Biden has in very short order demonstrated the fecklessness of those on the left who supported the undoing of everything Trump accomplished, to the detriment of every American Citizen.
My only problem is that I also suffer from your success.
Gotta prepare the masses for full WW3
Well said Cyto. The circumstances of the 2020 election were unprecedented in US history. Election laws were ignored and broken. Massive mail in voting ultimately determined the outcome. But most civilized nations to not allow mail in ballots because the system is ripe for fraud. The Jimmy Carter commission reached the same conclusion decades ago. Ballot harvesting was rampant as seen in Wisconsin nursing homes. In many cases Dominion voting machines were illegally connected to the internet. There are thousands of sworn affidavits by individuals with personal knowledge of suspected fraud. No, we don't know if Biden was the legitimate winner. What we do know is that nobody in the political or media establishment has any interest in finding out. The "nothing to see here" narrative that Reason has completely bought into is not rational thinking. Free Minds deserve better.
"Nothing to see here" is a transparent lie, and naked propaganda.
They ran the same ops that started out as color revolutions, were scaled up for the Arab Spring, and fully implemented domestically for 2020.

"On January 6, 2021, Vice President Mike Pence, as President of the Senate, should call out all electoral votes that he believes are unconstitutional."
What's wrong with that? If any votes are unconstitutional I would hope that any vice president (including the current idiot) would call them out.
The problem is everyone refused to look as to whether there were voting irregularities and fraud.
"After losing dozens of court reviews of his election-fraud claims"
Courts refusing to hear the case or review evidence is not "losing". Time to stop trying to gaslight everyone. It's pathetic.
Courts refusing to hear the case or review evidence is not “losing”. Time to stop trying to gaslight everyone. It’s pathetic.
Irony is that this argument is the gaslighting. About a third of the cases were heard on the merits and in some of the others where standing was denied, the judges commented on the merits.
And note that when asked in open court whether Trump was alleging fraud, Trump's attorneys said they were not.
Why are you such a fucking liar, Josef?
Shrike, how many times do I actually have to post the numbers trump won that went to trial? How many times do the trials since judges ruled on illegal election changes have to be mentioned? You keep reporting the jan 2020 DNC narrative.
Want the numbers yet again? Talk about gaslighting.
Facts have no place in the Trumpian narrative.
Facts have no place in you and Shrike's narrative.
Did you actually even read Shrike's post before rushing to white knight, Sarcles? He claims traditional judicial cop-outs like "merit" arguments and their excuse-making rationalizations are the exact same thing as losing a case in court.
Do you agree? How the fuck would anyone know if a case has merit if they refused to even look at the evidence or particulars? That's not losing anything, that's frightened judges running away.
Why are you such a fucking pathetic TDS-addled lying pile of lefty shit?
Thank God there are no left-wing wingnuts in the Democrat party. A poll of Democrat voters found about half were OK with packing the Supreme Court and with preventing hate speech everywhere, 'hate speech' being loosly defined as what might make a Democrat uncomfortable.
I believe Greenhut's main concern is with the uncouth Republicans being listened to by the rest of the party.
Just accept the superior wisdom of the elite.
How many years have we been Saying that there is no difference between the 2 parties?
That is kind of the libertarian montra.
Well, now you know that it is true. They do not care if Dick Chaney has power. They do not care if Lindsey Graham is in power. They do not care if Mitch mcconnell is in power. They are perfectly happy with a Bush or with Is Mitt Romney
But when someone comes in promising to drain the swamp, the world comes apart. Suddenly nobody cares about the rule of law. They don't Even bother paying lip service. They just nakedly subvert all of the pillars of Democracy.
All of those establishment politicians will keep feeding the machine. They send the money to all of the right places and all of the right people get paid.
It dovetails very nicely with every preconception libertarians have about government corruption. (The far left should feel the same way).
And for some insane reason, the voice of liberty has aligned with the machine at every turn.
"Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution."
Lies. He never said that. Or if he did he didn't mean it. Unless he could have gotten away with it in which case it would have been totally awesome.
Do you feel that the Constitution is absolute or something?
"Do you feel that the Constitution is absolute or something?"
At any particular moment in time, the Constitution, as far as the law, is "absolute." It is the "Law of the Land." That doesn't mean it isn't changeable by amendment, or by reinterpretation by SCOTUS, or by a constitutional convention of the States, But it cannot changed by simple "termination."
Funny, I have participated in the gun control debate online since the fall of 1995.
Gun control advocates kept claiming that the Second Amendment is not absolute.
"Funny, I have participated in the gun control debate online since the fall of 1995.
Gun control advocates kept claiming that the Second Amendment is not absolute."
Well, it isn't "absolute." Convicted felons can lose the RKBA for commission of certain crimes, for instance, even after repaying their debt to society. Just as one can lose the right to vote. I DISAGREE with such laws -- but until SCOTUS weighs in on those laws, and rules it unconstitutional, it is what it is. There are a whole ton of gun laws with which I disagree. Just a note: I have been a very strong supporter, and researcher of, the RKBA since long before there was an Internet. Do I think, as a basic rule, that anyone not currently serving a sentence for a violent crime involving firearms, and over the age of eighteen, should have access to firearms? Yep.
He never should have said what he said the way he said it; he should have just said if Massive fraud is proven, then all options are on the table to save the Republic, '....by any means necessary....' and left it at that. Of course the Useful idiots probably believe that if massive fraud actually occurred in dozens of States, that a sitting VP should do nothing; and believe our current legal system could handle and resolve it between November 6th and January 20th of the following year, proving how beyond stupid they truly are.
"‘….by any means necessary….’"
Really? ANY?
Yes.
“Yes.”
Well, I appreciate your honesty. (Please excuse me a moment while I re-check my inventory of match-grade 7.62 x 51 cartridges, and OO 12-gauge shells…..)
Got an AR-10 or something?
"Got an AR-10 or something?"
The details of my "personal protection devices" are not something I am likely to divulge 🙂 But I do believe in the old Boy Scout motto -- "Be Prepared."
(I am also fond of Tom Lehrer's interpretation of the motto:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkrheaWuShU)
Not to give away too many of Jefferson's secrets but either it's not an AR-10 or he's wasting money on match grade.
"Not to give away too many of Jefferson’s secrets but either it’s not an AR-10 or he’s wasting money on match grade."
Yeah. You caught me. My favorite long-arm is a custom bolt job: 700 Remington action, Timney trigger, heavy Douglas barrel in a McMillan A2 stock, modified to take a ten-round detachable magazine, and topped with a Leupold 6X24 target scope. Of course, that isn't a "home defense" arm. Unless one perhaps lives on a ranch...
As far as "match ammo," I've been hand-loading for forty years.
Yes.
Same as everyone else should be doing.
...he should have just said if Massive fraud is proven, then all options are on the table to save the Republic...
In what forum is this massive fraud to be proven? To what standard of proof? As judged by whom? The reason we saw the riot and efforts to overturn the election was that Trump and his fervent supporters were never going to accept a judgement that their claims of fraud were false. There was no objective evaluation of their claims that they would accept as valid and final.
"judgement that their claims of fraud were false" -- of which were never (and couldn't possibly be) verified. Governors used E.O. to thwart election law. Governors don't have that kind of granted power. It was fraud-ed by Governors; that part is undeniable.
Just a never-mind to machine updates, massive variation to actual counts and foreign IP access. Etc, etc, etc.... While there might not be any law against those actions in specific States the violation is obvious. And so is non-verified citizen votes. Of which is becoming law. Laws that push for FRAUD.
Oh,, no he said that.
And he was right.
The person sitting in the White House got there through widely admitted fraud, voter manipulation and illegal rule alteration. There is nothing in the Constitution that addresses this.
Nothing.
In fact the insane situation wherein if someone stages such a coup and can get the other side to concede or have the false election confirmed the one who won by false means gets to keep the office ---for the stability of the union--- NEEDS to be thrown down.
Man references a Tekken character by name and you guys are *still* going on about it.
Meanwhile the actual malfeasance between Twitter and the USG? Hardly a peep from you.
And the actual malfeasance by our own government? Yeah, you got some pro-forma articles bitching about the current omnibus spending bill and about nothing else.
>After losing dozens of court reviews of his election-fraud claims,
No court actually reviewed the claims. They all claimed to have no jurisdiction or that the plaintiffs had no standing.
Whatever you think about that, its not a review *of the claims*.
No court actually reviewed the claims. They all claimed to have no jurisdiction or that the plaintiffs had no standing.
This is completely false. You can keep repeating it, but it won't become true.
For this Report, we examined every count of every case brought in these six battleground states. We include both a narrative for each state and an accompanying Addendum listing each case and its disposition.
We conclude that Donald Trump and his supporters had their day in court and failed to produce substantive evidence to make their case.
Of the 64 cases brought by Trump and his supporters, twenty were dismissed before a hearing on the merits, fourteen were voluntarily dismissed by Trump and his supporters before a
hearing on the merits, and 30 cases included a hearing on the merits. Only in one Pennsylvania case involving far too few votes to overturn the results did Trump and his supporters prevail.
In many cases, after making extravagant claims of wrongdoing, Trump’s legal representatives showed up in court or state proceedings empty-handed, and then returned to their rallies and media campaigns to repeat the same unsupported claims.
That last part, from this report made and published by lifelong Republican lawyers and former lawmakers, is the reason why these narratives have persisted. You, and those like you, listen to what Trump and his side say at the rallies and on TV when interviewed by friendly TV personalities. But you don't know or pay attention to anything that the lawyers are willing to put their professional reputations and ethics on the line for in court. It is in court that evidence that can hold up to scrutiny matters, and it was there that they failed. They can whine and cry elsewhere all they want about the "fire hoses" of affidavits and evidence, but election fraud is a crime. Doing anything about it requires treating it as such where the standard of proof is beyond a reasonable doubt and the evidence can be confronted and judged objectively.
But you don't seem to want that. You wanted the election results tossed out even though you and many other Trump supporters were the only ones convinced that the results couldn't be trusted. All the Republicans in any position of authority that didn't follow along (Barr, Raffensberger, most GOP Senators, Pence, and more) were just too afraid or compromised to be willing to stand up for Trump, not that they believed the evidence to be lacking, right?
Its funny how you guys focus so heavily on the Pence decision - when it was an attempt to do thing *within the law* (even if they were getting the law wrong) while ignoring the actual, you know, *actions* taken by ballot harvesters to retroactively change laws to make what they've been doing legal or push around pesky limitations that are there to protect the perceived integrity of an election.
How much 'democracy' do you think we'll have - how much of a republic will we have left - when half the country thinks the other half is cheating?
I've always figured that the Democrats are cheaters. Not because I don't think they could win national elections, but because every Democrat stronghold (Chicago, Boston, New York, LA) has colorful histories rife with stories of strongarming and dead voters.
We got JFK instead of Dick Nixon thanks largely to the Cook County machine or so the story goes. In retrospect reasonable people disagree on whether the vote changed the outcome but nobody denies that the fraud happened. The "paranoid" Nixon we saw in the Watergate era got that way because he correctly believed the 1960 election was not legitimate.
We surely know they cheat and do not follow the constitution and then find ways around any obstacle to gratify themselves, such as Biden looking for his loan forgiveness program. They run an apocalyptic government on a debt that one day looks likely to expressed "in 2022 dollars."
But on the positive side, it amounts to a lack of leadership outstanding. This was precisely what got Trump elected. Libertarians can fill empty slots as easily and get elected experience as anyone looking to restore limited American government should.

Just a voting integrity rally that got a little out of hand, nothing more and nothing less.
How is it that Ray Epps just skates away while others are subjected to the full weight of the govt boot? It isn't like he wasn't caught on video.
"Some of these Republican House members dressed up their efforts that would have destroyed our republic in constitutional-sounding verbiage." Sorry, Greenhut, but our republic was destroyed over several decades by the inexorable march of unconstitutional social engineering by the Democrat Party, with brief interludes of unconstitutional reactions - such as the "red scare" and the January sixth capitol riot - by Republicans. In the unlikely event that Trump's minions had - briefly - delayed the transfer of power, it could not have destroyed what little was left of Constitutionally limited government! It would simply have been the final nail in the coffin of a Constitution that had been hollowed out by Congress, the Supreme Court and various Presidents and over four thousand unconstitutional laws and regulations in the Code of Federal Regulations, together with an uncontrolled deep state and politically expedient law enforcement. Everyone knows Trump is an ass and that Republicans are no friend of liberty, but I will stack up the track record of the Democrats in power against the Republican record any time, so spare us the emo hand-wringing please!
"...which is examining the Capitol breach..."
The Capitol "breach"!
'Armed with large-caliber fire extinguishers and military-style zip-ties, the protesters threatened to..."
Put their feet on somebody's desk.
Stuff your TDS up your ass, Greenhut, and then fuck off and die.
The Left stains Republicans by cherry-picking quotes, de-stain by association (as exactly done in this article), judicial witch-hunting and creating narratives that are entirely FALSE, LIES and CORRUPTION. — Emotional Drama.
While that same Left *IS* bankrupting the USA, violating the US Constitution like nobodies business, openly supporting a Regime Change to National Sozialism(syn; Nazism)… — REAL ACTIONS.
This has been the lefts substance all along. Emotional propaganda from [WE] ‘poor’ must use Gov-Guns to STEAL to Any questioning of a vote count by Republicans is Insurrection (Never-mind it was a pursuit of authenticity; one that was so direly needed it left 70% of the citizenry weary).
Relax, mainstream and modern America.
These half-educated, superstitious, bigoted, backwater slack-jaws have never accomplished or stuck with much of anything worthwhile in their entire deplorable, worthless lives, and there is no indication these disaffected, antisocial right-wing dumbasses are about to change that trajectory now.
They can whine and whimper, and fluster and bluster, and rail and flail, but they are powerless, inept, obsolete losers in modern America. Bigoted conservative assholes have rights, too, so they get to complain about it as much as they like, but they will continue to comply with the preferences of their betters until they and their stale, ugly thinking are replaced.
Carry on, clingers. Within the limits established by better Americans, that is, and not a step beyond.
UR the leftard at almost perfection. Pure 1st-Grader bullying mentality without a single logical thought to submit.
I’m starting to think he is a parody since no rational person could carry on like this. OBL was funnier, but more obvious.
OTOH he is humorless, as are most Progs, so perhaps he is merely slipping beyond sanity.
If such a brush doesn't swing in one's general direction, then one has nothing left to read!
You know who else ran a sinister political party?
Angela McArdle?
Brandon?
You know, I take a confused group of bad spellers with no coherent ideology like the Republican party over an efficiently-run fascist organization like the Democratic party any day (and, yes, Democrats meet pretty much all the criteria of fascism, though they prefer to call themselves "progressive" and "democratic socialist", which largely amounts to the same thing).
The fact that you apparently prefer the efficiently-run fascist organization while mocking people who are trying to fend off the efficiently-run fascists speaks volumes. I suggest you have a look at the Weimar Republic to see one of the likely outcomes.
Democrats meet pretty much all the criteria of fascism
LOL. Are you really that stupid? Or are you getting your info from the "Basement Dweller's Guide to Political Thought"?
fascism: [noun] a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often *race above the individual* and that stands for a *centralized* autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe *economic and social regimentation*, and forcible *suppression of opposition*.
Yep... Fit's the Democratic Party to a T...
Those NATIONAL('Feds') Sozialist-Justice Warriors (Nazi's)...
Are you really that ignorant?
My parents were nearly killed by fascists. So, yeah, I know what I'm talking about.
You should read up on the progressive movement and the Democratic party some time.
Democrats meet pretty much all the criteria of fascism
Except for the cult of personality of a charismatic leader. They're run from behind the scenes by an oligarchy. When a very popular leader of all Democrats with cultishly devoted followers emerges, you'll know they've gone full fascist.
Missed the Obama years, did you?
A charismatic leader is a symptom of fascism, not a part of fascist ideology.
Fascists do prefer fast, direct implementation of their policies by the executive branch, which is something fully embraced by Democrats.
And fascists elevate the executive branch leader far above what their political and personal qualities justify; that's why a complete moron and fraud like Biden still enjoys a 70% approval rating among Democrats, and why an opportunistic psychopath like Obama was practically worshiped.
This article is more proof Reason is a Democrat front man. It all in the willingness not to give both sides but rather just the Democrat narrative.
There are 2 sides. The Libertarian Party and the Looter Kleptocracy. Learn, baby, learn.
It has been pretty clear for a couple of years that reason is now funded by the same deep state sources that fund overtly left-wing publications like the Atlantic and the guardian.
"Oh yeah, frustration is a totally legitimate rationale for dictatorship." Germany thought so. China's whining to the US restarted the push for prohibition of stimulants and stupefacients Germany had patented. To them it was a conspiracy in restraint of trade. WW1 slowed ratifications but the peace treaties enacted dope laws and reparations payments. Dry America was a dope dealer's heaven and source of reparations money until the Atlantic Highlands busts of 16OCT1929. Defendants were in court in June 1931 as the Limitation Convention wrecked German banks and led Big Pharma to support Hitler's party. Frustration, ergo dictatorship.
I would assume that Reason is an economically non-viable publication like most others these days. I would suspect that they have received a lot of money either directly from federal government agencies or their various shell companies. They are probably allowed to spew most of their libertarian rhetoric as long as they tow the line on a few issues. So, they need to follow the script on vaccines, Ukraine, and Trump. How are they doing? Looks like it's good enough to get a new infusion of cash for 2023.
Technically, they "toe the line", as in "their toes do not step over the line that their paymasters set for them" or "they stand in the proper formation on the marked line".
I’m currently generating over $35,100 a month thanks to one small internet job, therefore I really like your work! I am aware that with a beginning cdx05 capital of $28,800, you are cdx02 presently making a sizeable quantity of money online.
