Brickbat: You Didn't Learn That Here

The Louisiana state Senate Education Committee has approved a bill barring students from accessing pornography or sexually explicit material on public university WiFi or internet services. State Sen. Beth Mizell, R–Franklinton, the author of the bill, said an investigation that found Louisiana State University mishandled numerous complaints of sexual misconduct "illustrated the need" to block students from accessing sexually explicit material on campus. The bill must still be approved by both chambers of the legislature.

Even the GOP ladies love them that Title IX.
Only the GOP still knows what "ladies" means.
Will "sexually explicit material" encompass both pro and anti-abortion-rights materials and comments? Or only the pro-abortion-rights materials and comments? I mean, since we all KNOW that only super-duper-super-hot sluts access abortion rights, it is easy to see that THAT kind of thing is ALL porn, right?
They will use the default commercial filters. Every domain is categorized. If they use T-Mobile’s default “moderate” filter they will block both porn hub and anything to do with guns or gun parts.
This should be fun.
If that is the case, they will still be able to access the trove of porn available on Wikimedia Commons.
*wakes up* Huh? What now?

And that's, er, just the tip. Even dimly divergent searches turn up volumes of effective pornographic content that still, effectively for purposes, 'nude women' that aren't contained in that specific categorization.
And the political overlords (ARMED ROBBERS packing GUNS) have to wonder at all why many people despise their "I'm a God" mentality so much while they continue ruling like everyone but they themselves are mindless subservient drones....
"The People's" bill - END Gov-Gun funded Commie-Education.
You don't get to STEAL from us to play DICTATOR over us.

And? This seems 100% reasonable given the reality of the climate. Oh... you don't like it? Then change the climate or shut the fuck up.
The only issue I can really see with this is if the students are forced to use the universities wifi or internet services. If the student has the option of contracting with AT&T for their wifi or whatever the state is perfectly within their powers to regulate what happens at a state school.
