There is a big difference between cutting unbilical cords, cleaning up bodily secretions, and feeding (all of which are necessary for the survival,health, and autonomy of the infant,) and ritual circumcision.

Circumcision may be medically necessary in isolated instances of growth or tumors and could be done with painlessly with anesthesia. But ritual circumcision as done by indigeonous tribes and the Abrahamic religions is a dangerous, medically useless, painful, barbaric practice done for the shits and giggles of an imaginary Dictator of the Universe.

Plenty of people around the world do without ritual circumcision and have no problem with potty training or infection in the genitial area. If a person has access to soap and clean, sterile, potable water, there is no hygienic need for circumcision. And if a person has no such access, they have far worse concerns than circumcision.

Also, adults consent to have piercings of ears, noses, cartilege, penises, scrotums, labias, clitorises, and vaginas, plus tattoos over every square inch of skin without any associated trauma, precisely because it is consensual. Surely an adult wanting a circumcision bad enough can get it without trauma as well.

Ritual circumcision, as long as it exists, should be confined to consenting adults, done in sterile, hygenic conditions and should never be used on infants or anyone without consent. None of this is Anti-Semitic, Anti-Christian, Anti-Muslim, Anti-Indigenous, or Anti-Anyone. It is genuinely Pro-Humanity, Pro-Health, Pro-Individual Autonomy, and Pro-Civilization.

Ritual circumcision is done for the spiritual health of the boy and the fulfillment of fathers’ religious obligation. Ritual circumcision is not done for infection control or to make urination easier.

Yes, there are medical, social, and hygienic reasons for parents to choose circumcision for their boys. But it’s not why Jews do it and have been doing it for four thousand years.

The problem is the Belgian law does not explicitly ban Kosher or Halal slaughter. What it does is require that the animals be stunned with an electric stun gun prior to slaughter, which is incompatible with Kosher and Halal slaughter rules.
