Qatari officials took all of the women off of a flight scheduled to leave for Australia and strip-searched them. An infant, believed to be newly born, had been found in a restroom at the airport terminal, and officials were reportedly examining the women for signs that one of them had recently given birth.

I can imagine my response as some combination of "fuck off" or "John Doe, 555-1234" or any other made up number. And yes it is unfair to say "fuck off" to the poor schlep who's just trying to make a living working at the restaurant, when it's the state threatening the restaurant at the pointy end of a gun to comply or else. But that's how this shit takes hold, is people not pushing back on it.
