Brickbat: Fostering Sedition

The San Diego police department has issued 82 citations for seditious language since 2013. But after an investigation by local media, the police department has ordered officers not to enforce a century-old city ordinance banning such speech. Because such citations are considered infractions, those cited under the law are not entitled to a jury trial or legal counsel. The city attorney's office is drafting a repeal of the law.

Damn, now these cops will just have to go back to 'disorderly conduct' when someone they don't like pisses them off.

I bet those two rethuglicans on the nine-seat city council are responsible for blocking the dem efforts to remove this vital tool in the war on crime.
San Diego has a Republican mayor. I am sure it is his fault.
Nancy Pelosi accounted for 81 of the 82 citations.
But it is interesting that with BLM and Antifa ramping up the rhetoric it's only now that they're suddenly concerned with "seditious language". I wonder if there's some connection there.
Yep. I'd imagine politicians who verbally support and give aid to people who are literally shouting "death to America" while rioting, attacking citizens, and looting, probably constitutes some level of sedition. I know that Ted Wheeler and his DA should be held criminally liable for Portland, just like we used to make local politicians criminally liable if they supported the Klan's tomfuckery in their cities
I can't think an example of a politician being prosecuted for "supporting" the KKK. Maybe since you're so sure about it you can provide the example. My understanding of history is that the KKK largely escaped prosecution because the white politicians, sheriffs and jurors were racist pieces of shit.
Every single white person is a racists piece of shit now.
Enforcement Act of 1871, also known as the KKK or the Third Enforcement Act. It's what allows you to go after any state actors for violation of rights and it's what effectively took out the Klan's 1st iteration.
That didn't make it illegal to merely (verbally or materially) support the KKK though. It basically made it a federal crime to participate, actively, in aforementioned tomfuckery, although this was later scaled back to the civil 1983 suits we have now when the SCOTUS found that the federal government had no power to criminalize assault and murder (only the states have that power)
I’m assuming that was 1883?
Pelosi wouldn't be caught dead within a hundred miles of San Diego County. LA's as far south as she could ever bear to travel.
Truthfully, what has been happening for nearly 4 years is sedition, promulgated by Team D and the MSM.
If you hadn't mentioned "truthfully," I wouldn't have known I should just take your word for it.
