Reason Nominated for 19 Southern California Journalism Awards
Our nominated stories run the gamut from sanctuary cities to Gary Gygax and curling.

With more than 1,700 entries, the Greater Los Angeles Press Club's annual Southern California Journalism Awards broke its own record for submissions this year. Folks, you can't ask for a better snapshot of what we do well.
We are grateful to the Los Angeles Press Club for allowing us to mingle with the rest of Southern California's notable media publications, to our story subjects for their willingness to talk about the ways in which our incessantly cruel and dumb ruling class have affected their lives, and to our readers for their continuing support of free minds and free markets. We can't do what we do without you.
We'll let you know the final score after the awards ceremony on June 30 in Los Angeles.

Funny how reason can be bought for Lefty media awards.
A true testament to reason being a good journalism outlet would be that the MSM fucking hates your guts.
This fits right into the garbage coming from reason staff for years.
bonne chance.
Congratulations!
And only 960 articles last year about how terrible California is and everyone should vote with their feet and leave.
While still being based there.
Kinda makes you wonder if they hate California as much as they say they do.
Nothing about the article on making your own guns with untraceable parts from the internet? How could the CA journalists miss this one?
And as creepy as Elizabeth Holmes is...would.
Is winning a Southern California journalism award like getting the gold medal in the special olympics?
Lol oh yeah, I remember that piece of yellow journalism that Welch did on Jordan Peterson. This website is basically another vanilla progressive trash site now. I heard Salon.com is selling for $5MM ($550K at closing). Now that Reason is woke, we'll see how long it takes till they go broke. By that, I mean when Koch stops funding reason and all of the editors & writers lose their jobs... because the readers sure as shit ain't going to pay for this trash.
I stop by for the comments rebutting nearly every single story on this site, but I'm sure those will be gone soon too, since most journalists today want to sit in their bedrooms criticizing the entire world around them, but they are terrified of being criticized themselves.
Yup. I'm mostly just here to yell about how stupid the cosmotarian writers are!
That said, it is SADLY still slightly better than reading you generic news on an outright MSM site. Even though it's slanted, it's less slanted than WaPo or NYT or whatever, so since I have to get my basic news somewhere, might as well be here. They do actually take a libertarian position once in awhile still too!
It's Great News.
I love football can you please write any good Article about top football players.
