Biohacking, CRISPR, and Genomic Freedom with Josiah Zayner
Tune in and participate in Reason's livestream interview tonight.
Tonight at 7 P.M. ET/4 P.M. PT, Reason's Zach Weissmueller will talk with Josiah Zayner. Zayner, a biohacker and former NASA scientist, is founder of the Odin, a company that made its name selling consumer CRISPR kits allowing anyone to modify an organism's genome. The conversation will be livestreamed on Reason TV's YouTube channel, and viewers are encouraged to participate via the live chat.
Topics will include Zayner's run-ins with the Food and Drug Administration, his larger vision of democratizing cutting-edge science, his changing attitudes towards self-experimentation after he injected himself with CRISPR, and his thoughts on the Chinese scientist who claims to have been the first person to modify the genome of a human embryo with CRISPR.
