The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for Monday's attack at the Ohio State University, carried out by student Abdul Razak Ali Artan. "The executor of the attack in the American state of Ohio is a soldier of the Islamic State and he carried out the operation in response to calls to target citizens of international coalition countries," the ISIS news agency said.
- The Ohio State attack has spawned debate in the Buckeye legislature over whether campuses should permit concealed carry.
- Donald Trump and Mitt Romney shared some garlic soup and frog legs in New York yesterday and the resulting photo evidence is beautiful. Romney did not say what the men discussed but told reporters the dinner had been "wonderful" and "enlightening and interesting and engaging."
- Trump announced via Twitter Wednesday morning that he would be "leaving [his] great business in total in order to fully focus on running the country in order to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
Hence, legal documents are being crafted which take me completely out of business operations. The Presidency is a far more important task!

- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved a large-scale clinical trial of using MDMA to treat post-traumatic stress disorder.
- Hunter S. Thompson's widow is extracting DNA from his old marijuana and hashish stash in order to re-grow and sell "the authentic Gonzo strains," she said.
- Needle-exchange programs for drug users help significantly reduce HIV-infection rates, according to a study from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
- Texas passed a law this week requiring abortion providers to bury or cremate all fetal remains rather than dispose of them as medical-waste like previously permitted.

I like it--like going into a well-stocked candy store.
Shame the selection isn't terribly interesting this time.
Sometimes you get Jelly Bellys, sometimes you get Bits O' Honey.
Bit O Honeys are great.
To be fair, Bit O' Honeys are truly heinous--as least there's a couple of mini-Snickers in here.
Heinous and disgusting?
I can see it not being a favorite for some, but it's just some sugar and nuts.
Vintage Zeb.
The all time worst candy is that peanut butter taffy that comes in orange and black wrappers.
But which vintage? I thought 2013 was a good year.
He always looks for the positive in any situation. Totally heinous.
SugarNuts should be the name of SugarFree's nemesis.
Unlike the comments which are all Jelly Belly's with high incidence of black licorice, burnt popcorn and mexican pot man-ass flavors.
Are you talking about candy or chicks?
Top jelly belly flavor: grapefruit
Worst: butter popcorn *gag*
Jelly beans that taste like anything but fruit or licorice tend to be pretty bad to my taste. THe popcorn one is probably among the worst, I agree.
I prefer old school traditional jelly beans to jelly bellys.
When I was a kid I used to get jelly beans that were made at a local candy store. They were the size of Jelly-Belly, but superior in every way.
Vomit is the worst flavor.
Dr. Pepper and 7-UP Jelly Belly's are magnifique!
WTF is a Jelly Bellys?
WTF is a Bits O' Honey?
They're like Clark Bars, only different.
You should start answering all "what is?" questions that way.
WTF is an Alt Right?
Like a Clark Bar, only different.
You have to use a chisel to get both of those out of your teeth. They are half sugar and half super glue.
Peanut M or gtfo.
what happened to my damned m and ms?
Ampersand abuse perhaps?
If you'd donated, that & would be there...
Capitalism at work!
I'd say peanut butter M are better but it doesn't matter because reese's cups are the best candy of all time.
Reason squirells apparently eat the second M off of the M and Ms
M&M?
one M&M
The squirrels will eat any ampersand followed by multiple letters, so it is actually the "s" that is causing it to be eaten, not the second M. You can type M&M to your heart's content, but pluralize it and bid it goodbye.
If you use the cheat code &+amp+; (remove the plus signs) for your ampersand, you can type whatever you want.

Hello.
"The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for Monday's attack at the Ohio State University,"
Senseless! Motives! Jumping to conclusions!
I don't buy it. ISIS has acces to loads of weapons from the US government
ISIS claims any self-radicalized attack on foreign soil. I doubt they had any contact with him prior to his attempt at murder.
According to records ISIS hooked up with him one time on Tinder. No evidence that they spoke though.
Wait!?!
They keep records of that shit?!?!?
Uhh, asking for a friend...

ISIS will claim anything that fits the image they want to project. I don't think an ISIS claim of responsibility says anything about whether the attacker had any association with or direct inspiration from ISIS.

Interesting. I read a news story the other day which claimed that President Obama had stated during an interview that Mrs. Obama had no plans to run for office.
"Don't you speak for me again, you little bitch," Michelle said and hit Barry again.
And so it begins...
I missed these.

I'd pay money to see that scene, even as a re-enactment.
The coup de gr?ce, "HULK SMASH!" was sublime.
262) It occurred to me the other day that the Black Lives Matter motto could so easily have been Black Lives Matter Too. That's a lot less grating. BLMT even echoes GLBT, kind of a nice parallel with respecting everybody, right? But that's not the slogan. The way it's phrased, it's not a "hey, don't forget about us over here" kind of thing. It's exclusionary, and it's meant to be that way.
Yes, because their purpose is not to solve police abuse, it is to further drive wedges into the populace.
BLMT
Too close to BLT. And now I want bacon.
Bacon, lettuce, mayo, tomato.
I consider mayo to be an integral part of the BLT and have often wondered why it doesn't have it's own place in the name. But language is an emergent phenomenon and this is where we landed. The silent mayojority.
When I die and you guys write my obit make sure to include I hate mayo.
You can always tell a miracle whip man.
*spits on the ground*
You can always tell a mustard-ignorant man.
*spits on spit*
Mustard on BLT is abomination.
Like catsup/ketchup on a hot dog.
Mustard and tomatoes are made for each other.
You libertarians are a contentious bunch.
Condiments, while yummy and necessary, don't get to count as their own food items except for briefly during the Reagan administration.
My favorite vegetable is ketchup, but only Heinz.

Heathen.
The most sympathetic parts of the night watch books were when Vimes was busted for his BLTs. I mean, sure he was a nice authoritarian, but having his wife take all the bacon from his BLTs was just cruel.
As it is, Black Lives Matter has created too many potential awkward conversations for me. Last year before I was really aware of the movement's name, someone had mentioned BLM, and I said something to the effect of, "BLM has been providing good places for target practice and hunting since I was a kid."
None of my co-workers has looked at me the same since.
That's funny.
+100 yards
I'm here.
This movement seriously pisses me off, there was a genuine political opportunity to address police brutality and get some modicum of actual reform, but these asshats hijacked the conversation and made it about white vs. black and went Black Panthers on it and alienated a good portion of the potential support any reform might have had. Reigning in police unions and increasing officer accountability would have benefited every one, including black communities, dumbfucks.
I think they addressed it occasionally, but a lot of the lily-white performative artists enlisting themselves with BLM are more pro-PSU than they're anti-police brutality. Typical progressives, iow.
Maybe this election will have taught the professional victims of the world that they do not hold as much sway as they think they do. Initial indications are that this is definitively not the case, but one can hope.
Dig into it and you will find that they are just commies using racism to foment strife and division. Typical MO for pinkos. They don't give a shit about blacks or police brutality. They are all about the destruction of capitalism.
By destruction of capitalism what they mean is overthrowing the current power structure and replacing it with themselves.
They did the same with climate change. It's actually about system change. And middle-men like Gore are scoring big off it.
Most definitely, but is frustrating that a moment to get something positive done was missed due to these fucklenuts stealing it. I know that collectivist pinkos will always be there, but the fact that they were allowed to wholly consume the movement is very galling.
Reigning in police unions
"Reining". Like a horse.
And I agree with what you say. Well said.
I bow to your superior homo-phonic skills. In my defense, rage-typing does not lend itself to proof reading.
True rage-typing requires more use of the shift key.
ITS CAPSLOCK YOU HEATHEN
I think it's the progressive version of the Tea Party, only worse. They started out in a promising direction and then were hijacked by a bunch of loud-mouth crazies who got all the media attention and became of the voice of the movement.
Sucks to have your movement hijacked, I'm not sure what you do to prevent that.
What? Dude there is an alt-right of white supremacists that have taken over the white house. Donald Trump will make his first SOTU address in a white hood. Of course after a couple of years when none of the shit the spooky alt-right are supposed to be up to materialize and the few hundred that belong to it dissipate into nothing the ones crying about it now will pretend they never said anything.
Meanwhile BLM, a bunch of no-shit, straight up racists are helping to foster racism and rioting. The left sure loves them some agitators, but it has to be the right kind.
"the ones crying about it now will pretend they never said anything."
That's not how it works. They will be patting themselves on their backs saying their courageous protests raised the consciousness of right-thinking people and prevented the racists from obtaining their nefarious ends.
One should never underestimate the skills of proggies at autofellatio.
"It's exclusionary, and it's meant to be that way."
If any of deplorables (the set of all white males that are not self-loathing) is so clueless as to think that he is not excluded, perusal of the BLM website would disabuse them of their error.
Radley Balko does a great job in reporting abuses, overreach, and militarization of the police. But he does not celebrate people who murder police officers. BLM does, and in so doing they act to make things worse rather than better.
Black lives do matter to the cops when it's non-cops killing blacks. If a black man is killed by a non-cop, then the killer can expect to go to prison. Even when the killing is justifiable, the killer can still expect to be arrested and to spend time in jail - "the process is the punishment" and "you can beat the rap but you can't beat the ride."
It's when the killer is a cop - especially an on-duty cop - that things are totally different. "Black Lives Matter" is a poisonous distraction that cops secretly are in favor of because they figure they can win a popularity contest against the usual racial grievance mongers. And because it distracts from the real problems of Blue Omerta and We Need More Rights Than You, Citizen!
Romney did not say what the men discussed but told reporters the dinner had been "wonderful" and "enlightening and interesting and engaging."
Trump must have stayed off of Twitter since none of those adjectives describe Twitter.
Tweeting at that Dilbert guy yesterday taught me that nobody is dimmer than Trump's twitterati. They're perfectly willing, eager even, to beclown themselves on Trump's behalf by rendering whatever dross he tweets into a brilliant, subversive, and for reasons none of them can explain, "obvious" troll. No, guys, he really is that knee-jerk brainless about his tweets. In fact he's one of the only people using the platform the way it should be, unseriously.
So...he is a brilliant troll.
Trollception?
I really don't think so. He tweets, his ardent supporters retcon it into something strategic, and then set about telling everyone else how brilliant and obvious it is. But he's not deliberative or inspired, just reacting, often stupidly, to something he sees on TV. Hence tweeting about flag burning.
I don't know--I'm not sure it's a coincidence that his "one year in jail" comment on the flag-burning was a direct repetition of the bill that Hillary co-sponsored. On one mainstream news board that I read, this was brought up and the proggies response? "Hillary's not going to be President."
I suspect he tweets these things just to Pavlov a contrarian leftist response. If he came out in favor of single-payer healthcare, the progs wouldn't twist themselves into knots arguing why we need free market reforms.
*Would twist themselves into knots
I'd be all in for this theory if he actually landed the blows he's ostensibly winding up. Provoke the left, pay out enough rope, then hang them with it. But there's a paucity of punchlines if he's such a masterful prankster. The birther presser he held before the election, that was masterful trolling. The tweets are just brainstem-level precognitive reflex.
Sweet salty tears.
These, from members of the reason commentariat, are truly the choicest.
Texas passed a law this week requiring abortion providers to bury or cremate all fetal remains rather than dispose of them as medical-waste like previously permitted.
Isn't cremation how most discarded tissue is disposed of?
Most, but Fetuses are parted out and sold. That's why they ended up passing a law.
You know, the Cash for Clunkers confiscation made it illegal to part out the used cars people traded in. If it's good enough for my 1993 Chevy Lumina...
Still not sure why that isn't preferable to just disposing of them. Might as well put them to some use.
Something about perverse incentives for the people performing the operations steering more people torwards the infanticidal route instead of discussing all options.
I can't get worried about that. The information on options is plenty available to anyone who wants to know. Do people really need to be told that keeping the baby or adoption are alternatives to abortion?
If they do aborting the kid and ending that gene line is probably for the best
Cremation and Incineration are not the same thing. Crematories keep the remains segregated from other ash.
So.... that's probably important somehow.
The culture war is dark and full of terrors.
It's important to some because it makes abortion more expensive. That is the only reason for such a law.
Only if you believe that pro-lifers are insincere. Whatever your stance on abortion, is it so hard to believe that someone who honestly believes abortion results in the loss of a life also thinks that the remains should be handled a little more delicately than Tommy's tonsils?
OK, I suppose some sincerely believe that. But there is a lot of political strategizing going on among pro-lifers as well and it's pretty clear that they will support just about any law that makes abortion more difficult, expensive or uncomfortable for the provider or patient. Which is quite understandable if you truly believe it's the equivalent of murder.
I don't have a lot of reverence for human remains in general, so it doesn't always occur to me that some people think such things are really important. I say as long as you dispose of remains in a sanitary way, it doesn't matter how you do it.
It's so weird that (supposedly libertarian) pro-lifers care so much about fetuses but not one whit about anyone already born.
If someone moved into your garage and started living there without your permission, you'd try to evict them peaceably (assuming no violence on their part) but with increasing levels of force up to and including death (this extreme measure involves the state in order to be legal everywhere). You own your garage. They do not. If they die in the process of removing them, so be it.
Even if a fetus is a life, if a woman is an owner of her body and it is an unwanted occupant of her womb, shouldn't she be able to exercise her property rights? The libertarian concept of self-ownership does not apply for some, apparently.
No, it was never about libertarian principles. It was about the religious perception that pregnancy is either a [gift of wedlock | punishment of fornication] and that doing anything to change that is a sin. All other justifications built up around the issue are maneuvering to make that position appear to be secular.
Kill that strawman!
She did exercise her property rights--she used the machinery in her body whose purpose is creating more humans without putting the safety on.
Because she didn't put the safety on, a human was created.
That human has to inconvenience her--through no fault of it's own--for 9 months.
After that, she can tell it to get out.
Some people think that she should be able to murder the human she created because it is--through no fault of it's own--forced to inconvenience her.
Is this going to cost more, or less, than previous disposal requirements?

"Hunter S. Thompson's widow is extracting DNA from his old marijuana and hashish stash in order to re-grow and sell "the authentic Gonzo strains," she said."

Maybe soon you can order The Great Shark Hunt with a half oz of Gonzo Weed from Amazon.
I think in the case of Hunter S. Thompson his drug consumption was more of a case of quantity over quality.

Except for the Wild Turkey. Good stuff -- at least these days. I met WT's master distiller emeritus Jimmy Russell this summer. He's got more than 60 years in the biz, so he was picking the stuff HST was drinking. We talked about my momma's people and the demand for moonshine in Carter County, Ky, back in the day. (He brought it up.)
So they want to resurrect weed with a THC content in the (low) single digits? Who would buy that?
Child starter kits?
Probably the same people who would want to use the same drugs that a man who committed suicide used.
I guess people who like the Ralph Stedman art on the container. Or maybe they'll take the strain and select for higher THC or cross it with one of the newer strains.
It seems like HST's widow must have spent all the royalty money and is grasping for new income.

That's still pretty rough. They knew he was battling mental illness.... it was the reason cited after all. Kinda defeats the "being of sound mind" decision-making process, doesn't it?
Not just that.
What about those who can't speak for themselves? Say, someone who had a stroke or someone in a coma. Much easier to pull the plug.
From our personal experiences, we had to fight like mad to the point of irrational just to keep doctors from pulling the plug on my father when he was in a coma. I mean like I had to threaten a couple of doctors. I basically told them they were evil fucks.
Next thing we know, he awoke and 12 years later still here.
I have always struggled with this from a libertarian perspective, legally speaking.
I certainly agree that having laws against suicide is simply asinine. But, to legally allow others to perform euthanasia is so fraught with peril.
For those of us more minarchists, there is a place for forcibly committing someone, provided it's done on a case-by-case basis, should be held to a high standard of evidence that they are a danger, and that they can't be held indefinitely (periodically they must be reviewed or automatically set free). Given that, many would argue that wanting to commit suicide is automatically proof, that the person is a danger to themself, and are mentally ill.
I would think that the example given is a textbook example of a person who should have been committed, rather than killed. Or in the absence of forced committal, at least shouldn't legally allow someone else to cause their death. It isn't like the guy was in hospice on so much morphine that he couldn't off himself.
This leads to the thinking that when a person is no longer "useful" to society, or too much trouble to take care of, then we are all better off if he just goes away.
I have always struggled with this from a libertarian perspective, legally speaking.
Are you viewing this from a libertarian perspective or a legal perspective? I don't really see anything you said as coming through either of those lenses.
A woman doctor in a black dress and sneakers
The Devil Wears Prada; Death Wears Adidas.
That should say that they allow euthanasia. In any case, good show, Netherlands.
In related news, attendance at AA meetings is way, way down.
I remember when the debate over this first began, before any of it was legal anywhere. The opponents warned this would happen and the proponents said that was ridiculous and swore it never would.
Uh huh. And the war on drugs will never become a pretense for stealing peoples property at gun point without due process.
Euthanasia cases are up 75 percent in the past five years.
I'm guessing this is because they increased from 4 cases to 7 cases? If people have the right to life they also have the right to end it when and how they want so long as they're on infringing on other's rights. The horror.
My problem is that those people are taking up State resources. Eventually, the State paid doctors are going to start making the decisions about the best allocation of State resources. That's my problem with all single-payer/state-payer health systems. If your condition isn't 2 sigma or better likely to recover, they're going to start pushing you (or your family) to pull the plug and stop absorbing scarce resources that could be used on someone who IS 95% likely to recover.

Back to Islam?
I don't think the Ottomans ever got as far as Bohemia.
Pretty sure Vlad Tepes scared them away.
According to Wahhabist Islam, all people were born to be Muslim, therefore any conversion (from our perspective) to Islam is in fact, a reversion to Islam, and these persons are known as Reverts. Therefore, largely Catholic Bohemia, if it were to become Islamic, would be a Revert State, coming back to Islam.
The Tartars and Ottomans invaded Moravia on several occasions.
And all we got here in UKR was their (admittedly delicious) sauce.
Sounds like Muslim Herc.

This is obviously a parody site. Check out the Estrogen mafia!
Well that's a relief.
Why does the Wahhabi punctuate his bullet-points with the holy symbol of Taoism?? ? Surely that has to violate some weird Wahhabist interpretation of shirk or something to that effect.
The Ohio State attack has spawned debate in the Buckeye legislature over whether campuses should permit concealed carry.
That's a switch.

More Than A Dozen Pelosi Supporters Consider Turning On Her
I'd be careful. The d'Alesandros always have had... friends.
Because the way to reconnect to the common man is a leader named Steny.
Pelosi comes from an old Baltimore political family. She's as corrupt as Sugarfree's insulin pump is tired.
The idea that she will willingly let go of power to make way for the next generation is laughable.
You have to lick my pussy to know what's in it.
You just ruined my childhood memories of Tootsie-Pops
It takes more than three licks to get to the center of a Rufusroll Pop.
Trick question. It would be the stump of what's left of your tongue.
Pelosi comes from an old Baltimore family? That would mean that she has human origins. For quite some time I was persuaded that she had an alien reptilian origin.
Like many old families, they say some of her people came from the sea. The uninitiated believe this to mean that they came over on the Mayflower or other early colonial ships. But this is not what is meant.
Some of her people came from the sea and Dagon is worshiped in their dark sabbaths.
Atlantis? *adjusts foil hat
Pelosi can afford to keep a grip on power because she's in a safe district, has a history of raising a lot of money, and is the embodiment of Boomer shitlib identity politics. It doesn't matter that she's old as fuck and the Dems can't connect with their working-class base on economic grounds because that's not what the party represents anymore. The only way she's getting kicked out of her leader seat is if a black woman or gay man challenges her, and Ryan's just a straight white Irishman.
It's only because they're misogynists.
Texas passed a law this week requiring abortion providers to bury or cremate all fetal remains rather than dispose of them as medical-waste like previously permitted.
Is this really such a bad thing? I would think burning would be the best way to deal with it.
Offering a proper burial is too humanizing. We should be able to profit off the bloody carcasses like animals, for humanity's sake.
Well I think that should also be a viable option. If there is some value to the medical community, the woman should be able to sell it.
Wrap 'em in a flag first!
But will the people who didn't get abortions share their miniature flags with those who did?
In case anyone missed it in the maelstrom of derp that was two weeks ago the New York Times has taken to attacking specific people for fleeing the reservation and voting for trump. In this case an 18 year old college student:
In their defense they let the "other" respond this week.
The comments are what you would expect.
"I did not feel that I should lie to my new college friends, especially at N.Y.U., where we are supposed to be open to hearing opposing views, able to discuss them and put any bias aside."
Silly silly girl.

Italy's Most Popular Political Party Is Leading Europe In Fake News And Kremlin Propaganda
Well, the big networks built their empires on bull shit so....take that! And that! And that! Stupid cat.
Sit back and prepare yourself for the next 4 years of leftist talking points about "fake news". Every leftoid retard on Facebook is now using "OMG FAKE NEWS!!!" to respond to anything that they don't agree with, or any news that is unflattering to their worldview. It's really to the point where they will just simply deny objective reality every time it makes an unwelcome appearance inside their bubble.
It's amazing how quickly the leftists all around the world simultaneously started citing "fake news" as the reason why the right wing is ascendant pretty much everywhere right now.
But they will immediately accept any news story that casts Trump or his followers in a bad light, while totally denying the existence of false flags.
These assholes are making me do something I would have thought impossible six weeks ago: get on the Trumpeters' side.
After reading a few columns this morning about the election aftermath, I caught myself thinking that I had been a Trump supporter even though I voted for Johnson. Such is the power of the whining, simultaneously smug Left.
Whatevers and chickens. No good can come of this.

While the last several elections have shown that actual experience is not necessarily required for one to run for President; surely surely Democratic politicians would not step aside and allow Mrs Obama to waltz to the Democratic Nomination.
These three PACs are either led by the extremely deluded or grifters of devious sort.
Hmmmm, maybe we should all go in and start a Political Action Committee begging liberals for money to fund Mrs Obama's tour of the Iowa countryside.

There's hope. Not a lot, but some.
And only until January 20th, at that.

Well, he got the memo about tucking the word "huge" in to every promise.

"I would love it if there were data on non-binary...couples"
I find it hard to believe some university somewhere hasn't undertaken this. Perhaps the results remain unpublished because the actual number is vanishingly small?
I live in a fairly liberal, upscale part of town. I can't think of a single gay couple in the neighborhood. It's mostly married people with kids, or empty-nester older people. The one single guy is actually a widower, though he does seem to have a high number of male friends over.
You seem to know a lot about your neighbors.
One of the neighbors is the gossip queen; she tells my wife all the dirt. Also I see these people quite regularly at the pool, which is run by the same neighbors.
Orgy pool, right?
That's where he got the name Lord Humungus. "Lord" because he's always yelling at people to not run around the pool. "Humungus" because...
Yeah. Honestly, unless they've said hi to me, I don't know and I don't care. I'm literally unsure of who lives next door to me (we moved in July, they moved in in October). I know there is an older woman and a younger woman who stay there sometimes, but I don't see them every day.

I'm in the heart of the midwest and that's how it works here as well, contrary to popular myth. It is true however that people try not to be dicks to each other when they do happen to interact.
We have block parties, Halloween parties, pool parties, outdoor movie nights, and BBQs. Ever since we moved into the neighborhood last year, most of our social life has revolved around it.
It's nice because most of the blokes are engineers, which means that even a social misfit like myself has an easy time conversing.

Actually there's a good point in there. Democrats are getting killed in local elections which has badly thinned their bench making it so they've got no clear batch of up and comers to unseat the Great Pumpkin.
This will only make the Dem position worse if anything.

Meanwhile, the only people watching CNN are dealing with flight delays.
Friggin ATL. Not only am I dealing with the inevitable major Delta flight delays, but I also have to watch CNN while I wait.
That just makes people hate CNN more! It is really annoying.
An army of liberals descending on rural America to "make arguments" will backfire. Maybe start off by listening, instead.
Agreed. It would backfire in a yuuge way. Smug assholiness does not go over so good in rural America.
What fucking bars does he frequent? I'll wait for that one. Also I find most places that have any news at all on show CNN because only certain type of people seem to bitch about that kind of stuff and they are usually progressives. Case and point I was in my dentist office several months ago and overheard the receptionists talking about how a patient literally at them about the fact that they had Fox News on the the television in the waiting area and that from now on they would just have on CNN to play it safe. So based on that one occurrence I formulated the observation above.
They'd rather be lied to by CNN. More colors and Wolf.
But yeh, CNN is the default rag just like Time mag (and the occasional Vag +60) is in all the offices.
The day after the election I went to a bar across the street from campus and was surprised to see Fox news on the main TV. All around me were young people bemoaning the night before while Fox news played cheerily in the foreground.
I've heard that exact sentiment from a owner of the local coffee shop. It's a very conservative town, but what few lefties there are, they always make a huge stink about Fox News being on the TV so the owner just put CNN on to appease them. The conservatives for their part are more accustomed to tolerating leftist media saturation and don't shit their pants about it. A sort of heckler's veto.
*What fucking bars does he frequent?*
Apparently ones where there is no jukebox, live band or anyone having a conversation. Or a bar where the closed-captioning is on and the patrons are not double-vision drunk.
Having CNN on *every* airport television doesn't help so much when you won't let the deplorables through security, does it?
We didn't explain it in simple enough terms for those bitter clingers.
Hahaha! What's his remedy - ban Fox News? ban TV in bars? disenfranchise those voters? or...
....import young socialists!!
Yeah the only the conceivable reason that people are voting out the leftists is because of the solitary news network that doesn't reflexively campaign for the Democrats every single day. FAKE NEWS OMG
To be fair, if the left had the total control of the media they want (and the 1st amendment prevents) it probably would help them electorally.
The current level of leftist saturated media is a net positive for them already. The Democrats out there claiming that media worked tirelessly against them this past election are the epitome of delusional. I mean what planet were they on during the election that they could possibly think that 95% of the media wasn't totally in the bag for Hilary? They got caught colluding with the Democrats red handed for fucks sake.
Who is watching news in a bar? What bar has the news on so you can hear what is being said?
California regulates cow farts
And the dairy farms close shop and leave the state...

Does it taste like shit?
But all the milk provided is from GMO... you see the conundrum there
There's a story going around about a seaweed that stops just about all cow farts. Farmers are still trying to figure out how to fit all their cows with scuba gear, so its not really in production yet.

Could he be less aware of what Hillary et al were saying? It was largely "scary racist, misogynist, Islamaphobe, xenophobe, etc" The had more ground troops than in 2008 or 2012. What they lacked was a candidate that attracted voters rather than repel them.
Just when we were ready to gracefully let this dope go he pulls this shit.

"Part of it is Fox News in every bar and restaurant in big chunks of the country"
Seriously? Who watches the news at bars and restaurants? Every video screen at every single bar and restaurant I go to is tuned to a sports channel.
Who ever heard of a "news bar"? If there were such a thing, and if it were tuned to Fox News, that would be because the market demanded it. A "Fox News bar" wouldn't last long without customers.
This guy is really out of touch and is grasping for excuses for his failures.
I'm sure it has nothing to do with Democrats constantly telling white people how awful they are. The only reason whites wouldn't vote for more of that is because FAKE NEWS has kept them from learning the facts about how awful they are and how they should just stop reproducing and make themselves extinct.
Her husband already paved the way for the "Eat Your Broccoli or Else" bill of 2020.
Well hopefully we can bring back Bush Sr.to block that bill.
Many of her victims will be old enough to vote by then. Let's hope they remember how she ordered school cafeterias to force feed them unpalatable food, and are insightful enough to consider the implications of this tendency if she were to obtain real power.

In France as in the U.S., the populist insurgency is gaining ground
The fact that you do see a populist backlash emerging across the Western world, in countries with different cultures, histories, and current issues, points to a deep, emergent phenomenon that probably isn't going away with a single election.
And since they're all reacting against leftist incumbent regimes, I don't think it's going to go away if the left starts socialisting and SJWing harder.

In fairness, I bet he does. They got so greedy and were so arrogant, they planted the seeds of their own destruction. They are like an over extended that just collapsed after a counter attack. They have no prepared positions to fall back to or any options other than to retreat.
They thought they had in insurmountable lead in the federal electorate, which is why they were okay with drawing so much power to the executive branch. They miscalculated rather badly, but in their defense I think pretty much everyone including the Republicans agreed with them, which is why you saw so much money poured into local state elections by the party in case they had to use the power of the states to tip the balance.
The Republicans did agree with them. In fact, I think the Republicans wanted it that way. They got to hold congress and the state governments but not be held responsible for anything. They were quite happy to let the Democrats turn congress into a well paid debating society. That is why you will never convince me anyone but Trump could have won this election for the GOP. He was the only GOP candidate whose heart was really in it.
"They got so greedy and were so arrogant, they planted the seeds of their own destruction. They are like an over extended that just collapsed after a counter attack. They have no prepared positions to fall back to or any options other than to retreat."
You know who else used to favor the USSR but now claims Russia as an archenemy, and overextended their army?
France?
WHY DIDN'T ANYONE WARN THEM!!!!!
They tried but the warning was drowned out by all that Russian fake news.
This is the correct take here. Remember, only a racist would have suggested that changing the senate rules was an overreach and an abuse of power that would come back to haunt them.
Besides, they were headed for an epochal majority that was to lead to the permanent exile of the Republicans as a minority party.
If the Republicans follow through with their promise to repeal Obamacare via reconciliation, it will be a great teachable moment for them.
Listen, I'm just going to sow the wind.
Why should I be concerned about a whirlwind?
The article is based on a story in the Dutch magazine, "Linda," in which Marcel Langedijk writes about his brother, Mark. Mark was an alcoholic and the father of two children. He fought alcoholism for eight years, losing his marriage in the process. After 21 trips to rehab or hospitals, Mark was tired of fighting and depending on his family to care for him. He asked to be euthanized.
I don't really have a problem with this.
Dude was seriously mentally ill. So mentally ill he was repeatedly hospitalized for it. I'm not sure you could really argue that he was of sound mind to make such a decision. But apparently someone did argue that, and quite successfully.
So by all means keep him alive for ever and make sure someone else has to constantly take care of him. Very humane.
By all means, kill him off so he stops taking up all those State resources, eh comrade?
If he asks to die, yes.
Eggsactly.

I think there was one at OSU recently, if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, except this news will be kept out of the public debate/discussion. I can't imagine CNN, MSNBC, et al spending any time on this unless it is to decry the capitalists for replacing workers with robots/tech. They will completely miss the point if they cover it at all.

Who will think of the jihadists?

How about the pain he's in NOW?
If you want to feel sympathy for this asshole, how about showing that by heaping scorn on the assholes who radicalized him?
You mean, like his ISP?
No I mean the various Imams who preach this shit hoping everyone but them goes out and kills and dies for the jihad.
The only compassion I can feel is for the country itself, who lost a potentially valuable worker, someone who had come up from poverty and was on track to achieve the American dream with more years of hard work. Yes, I see it in a lovely cafe in Da Burg. Like this. Or this. I want change too, friend.
Other than in the immediate journalistic autopsies and on the fringes of the Left, has there really been much excoriating of Mrs Clinton and the campaign she ran?
All I have seen lately is the repetition of the effectively useless national vote tallies, thus comforting the Democrats that she really won the election?
And now the Clinton Campaign stepping into the recount moves is only prolonging their bid to stay relevant. I've even read that this is to partly weaken Trump but also to stay in the game for 2020.
I think that President Obama is doing all he can to undercut the Clintons (his Post Presidency is much more relevant in opposition to Trump than it would have been in support of Clinton)
But he is only proceeding obliquely.
Why aren't Democrats coming out publicly and denouncing the Clintons? Is there still some underlying fear that they might someday again hold power?
They are leftists. They remember everything and learn nothing.
The Democrats rarely attack each other - it's all lockstep (see Obamacare) over the cliff. I doubt there will be much soul searching. Instead they will double down on the SJW shit, the elitism, and the usual cruddy economic ideas. To do otherwise would damage their base - which may (?) be fracturing as everyone tries to outdo each other playing the Victim Card version of War.
This gave me an image of Pajama Boy smiling, playing cards and holding one that read "Quadriplegic African-American Lesbian"

It's mostly because they don't take responsibility for the failure to win. That's why all the finger pointing at the low information redneck racist incompetent morons who vote against their own self-interest. It's not Hillary's fault she lost, it's everyone else's.
That's why all the finger pointing at the low information redneck racist incompetent morons who vote against their own self-interest.
And whose votes they need if they ever want to win again. You would have thought the GOP losing to Trump would have taught them that insulting your opponent's voters is not a very effective way to win a political campaign.
"Needle-exchange programs for drug users help significantly reduce HIV-infection rates, according to a study from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention."
Did the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention do a study on whether I should have to pay for this shit?
Well, I've done my own study, and the correct answer is "no".
Diabetics never seem to have a problem getting clean needles. And a lot of diabetics are pretty poor. If people want to shoot heroin, that is their business. But fuck them if they are too stupid to use a clean needle. I wouldn't pay a cent to help someone that stupid and degenerate.
Yeah, well, anytime bureaucrats can show that, statistically, the world is a better place if only the government makes me pay for something, that's all the justification anyone should need.
Utilitarianism and democratic socialism--that's what being a libertarian is all about.
P.S. They shouldn't write shit like this during pledge week.
Where the Reason staff fails is that they are cultural leftists who can't grasp the importance of culture to liberty. If your culture doesn't value personal responsibility, it won't value freedom. Reason incessantly confuses indulgence with freedom.
Utilitarianism and democratic socialism--that's what being a libertarian is all about.
GayJay (yes, I know, WHO?!) agrees wholeheartedly, Ken, as he signed legislation exactly like this while as Governor of NM.
Ron Bailey's love of self driving cars is another example. Bailey thinks taking away people's right to drive their own cars is perfectly acceptable if doing so makes everyone "safer".
There is a big difference between loving self driving cars and taking away others right to drive too.
There is. But Bailey is okay with making them mandatory.
Bailey definitely is a utilitarian libertarian.
That often leads to arguments I disagree with, but will make legitimately libertarian arguments from a utilitarian perspective.
Bailey is not a democratic socialist. He doesn't justify taxpayer spending purely in utilitarian terms. His driverless cars position is mostly about how the government should stay out of the way of the revolution. Even his pro-vax arguments are about whether people should be free to put us at risk of infection.
Does the suggestion that forcing us to pay for needle exchanges have any such qualification?
The correct answer is "no".
If there's any net benefit to non-heroin addicts like me, it's that I won't have to pay for other things--I also shouldn't have to pay for and for the same reasons I shouldn't have to pay for needle exchanges. That's not on the same level as Bailey arguing that I should be free to use driverless cars without government interference or that our kids shouldn't be infected with the measles because of other people's stupidity.
The idea that I should have to pay for other people's heroin needles is just utilitarianism + democratic socialism.
Bailey definitely is a utilitarian libertarian.
Incorrect, Ken. Ronal'd Bejlij is a textbook example of a Technocratic Pragmatist.
The idea that I should have to pay for other people's heroin needles is just utilitarianism + democratic socialism.
Well, according to Ronal'd Bejlij, the next girl you date, Ken, might just have a sweet tooth, so a needle exchange is protecting the only thing you may actually care about, and that's your Little Ken. It's like you've never heard of health insurance and assigned risk.
*waits for Ken's Wall o' Text as a response*
"Incorrect, Ken. Ronal'd Bejlij is a textbook example of a Technocratic Pragmatist."
Bailey makes his arguments in terms of likely consequences, and he does so within the framework of libertarianism.
His worldview does seem to be influenced by technological optimism.
So there's two things I disagree with him about. 1) I consider utilitarianism hopelessly flawed because of its inability to account for qualitative considerations and 2) I see technologies themselves as neither good nor evil.
Those two things are often tied together--1) our freedom to pilot our own motorcycles may be indefensible from a utilitarian perspective, and 2) people might consider driverless car technology evil if it threatens their ability to enjoy riding a motorcycle for qualitative reasons.
One of the reasons free markets are better than central planning is because free markets allow individuals to make qualitative choices for themselves where central planning imposes qualitative values like "safety" on everyone from above. But I digress.
Suffice it to say that I disagree with Bailey on various issues, but he is not a democratic socialist. He is a utilitarian libertarian.
Justifying needle exchanges in utilitarian terms is a whole 'nother ballgame.
Should the owner of a woodlands be liable for his farmer neighbors livestock because wolves live in the woods? Should I be held liable for neighbor's house because a woodpecker nests on my property that I didn't kill? Should I be held liable for my neighbors cat because a hawk nests on my property and I didn't take steps to kill the hawks?
Bailey wants to make people liable for acts of nature.
I disagree with Bailey.
Everything we do or don't do is harmful to someone else in some way. If we're only free to do things that don't harm anyone else, we aren't free to do anything.
No, Farmer Filburn, you may not grow wheat on your own property for your own consumption--because that means you bought less wheat than you might have otherwise.
We should be free to harm other people. We should be free to open businesses that compete with other people; we should be free to criticize other people in public; we should be free to sleep with their wives and girlfriends. We should NOT be free to violate their rights.
A right is a choice, and we should be free to choose not to be injected with something--for the same reason rape is wrong. Rape is wrong because the victim didn't get to make a choice. The right to refuse was violated.
I guess the short version is that just because I disagree with Bailey doesn't mean he isn't a libertarian.
Not all libertarian arguments agree.
That's the great thing about being a libertarian. Once we agree that people should be free to make choices for themselves, people get to justify their freedom of choice within those terms-
Some of those justifications will necessarily conflict, e. g., whether your vax free child should be free to infect my child vs. whether you should be free to choose whether to vax your child--but as long as the crux of the argument is that we should be free to make choices for ourselves, it's a legitimately libertarian argument.
Yeah I'm not trying to pull Bailey's libertarian card or anything. I just think his utilitarianism leads to a slippery slope, his vax position being the prime example. That doesn't make me anti-vax either, or that people shouldn't be held liable for being intentionally infecting others, or being gorssly negligent by knowing that you have some (serious) communicable disease and then showing up for work at the day care center or old folks home.
I'm just opposed to individuals being held liable for acts of nature. If we were to open that door, it would radically change the legal status of freedom, and not for the better.
Free needles for drug addicts don't have to be supplied by taxpayers. Some do-good private charity could actually supply the needles ... if it were legal.
Maybe free needles is a good idea. Even if this is so, it does not justify theft and coercion from taxpayers to fund it, nor does it require forced exactions. If so, let the do-gooders who believe the argument pay for it.
Some social problems will solve themselves if you let them. If enough addicts get sick, they will learn to be more careful. And if they don't care enough to do so, why should anyone else?
Christian charity? Basic human decency? (I'm just spitballing here.)
I'm not sure how either of those concepts justify stealing from one person to fund another person. Charity isn't charity at the point of a gun and there's nothing decent about it.
"If so, let the do-gooders...pay for it."
"And if they don't care enough to do so, why should anyone else?"
I was responding to the dialog between Cato and John. Of course charity is voluntary. Why would I have to say this, here?
I am all for charity and decency but there is a fine line between charity and enabling.
The unfortunate fact is that we're paying either way. And free needles are a hell of a lot cheaper than treating HIV or hepatitis. In my ideal world you would get a free needle with every purchase of smack at the corner drug store.
But let's not make the perfect the enemy of good.
That I have to pay for heroin addicts either way isn't a perfect or a good.
Unfortunately, it's not like someone can just walk into the local CVS and buy a half dozen needles for $2 The situation is what it is.
Ideally, the laws would be reformed to be less stupid, but unfortunately that's not likely to happen any time in the near future.
I don't earn my paychecks for the benefit of heroin addicts.
My understanding is that in substance abuse terms, they have a word "enabling".
"A common theme of enabling in this latter sense is that third parties take responsibility or blame, or make accommodations for a person's harmful conduct (often with the best of intentions, or from fear or insecurity which inhibits action). The practical effect is that the person himself or herself does not have to do so, and is shielded from awareness of the harm it may do, and the need or pressure to change. Enabling in this sense is a major environmental cause of addiction.[3]"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enabling
Refusing to "enable" mothers who can't afford the children they have is complicated by the fact that the victims of the irresponsible behavior in question are also the children themselves--who had no input or choice into the poor decisions that brought them into their impoverished state. Yet, even in those circumstances, there should be negative consequences for having even more children you can't support. In fact, if the government conscripts my paychecks into enabling irresponsible mothers to have even more children irresponsibly, I'm going to complain about that, too.
Maybe offering elective tubal ligation procedures for women at risk of having even more children they can't afford to care for properly, courtesy of the taxpayer, would be defensible from a libertarian perspective. But even by that comparison, needle exchanges aren't the solution to heroin addiction. Needle exchanges may not encourage addiction, but they sure as hell don't stop further use of heroin like a tubal ligation stops further irresponsible pregnancies.
Man, reading the heading here I thought it meant that Texas Doctors would have to personally bury the remains of all abortions they perform. That would have been pretty hardcore.
"Ready for Michelle?
At least she's not a crook.
Eh. People around here hate her, but I find her less classy than Laura Bush, but better than Hillary. And I don't think she's stupid. But she has exhibited zero executive leadership qualities.
Not unless using vapid index cards as meaningful diplomacy or eating a raw turnip is considered 'leadership'.
I found the #bringbackourgirls rather sanctimonious. She sleeps next to the guy who commands the biggest army in the world, if she was really that concerned about Nigerian school girls she could pull a Lysistrata until the school girls were recovered.
Would he notice the difference?
I'm pretty sure he would notice Michelle cutting off his supply of pussy long before he would notice my twitter hashtag.
Yup. She sleeps next to a guy who can answer the question "You and what army?" with "This one." If bringing back our girls was actually something important to her she could lobby to have half of JSOC in Nigeria within half a day.
Also no one in the #bringbackourgirls concern signalling movement seemed to care about what happened to the boys. They were simply murdered when the girls were taken, fyi.
One of the weirdest things happening during the Ohio State attacks were the people "marking safe" on Facebook, from all around Columbus, a metro area of nearly 2 million. I'm assuming my 110 Facebook friends who didn't "mark safe" are now dead.
There's a "mark safe" on FB?
Not sure how it worked. There was a separate Facebook page for "Violent event in Columbus, Ohio," from which people could "mark safe," I believe. All I know is that I got a tally the following day showing the number of Friends who had marked safe and those who did not. My mind boggles at the dark comedic possibilities.
Screw the "Edit" button, Reason could give us an "Incarcerated" button.
I had the same reaction. I got a notification from someone I know saying they had clicked the safe button. I was like "why the fuck would anyone who knows you well enough to give a shit think you were at OSU?"
Put out an open invite on FB for people to tell me why Trump will be a dictator who ruins America, but Castro was a good guy. So far, zero people have taken me up on it. Which is weird, because there are several people on my FB who posted both separately. I dunno. Maybe it was too late at night.
"Ready for Michelle?"
Dynasties!! Dynasties EVERYWHERE!!
I swear to God a couple of weeks ago I saw a bumper sticker that said: "Hillary 2016, Michelle 2024, Chelsea 2032, Malia 2040."
Lefties are mentally deranged lunatics.
It's actually quite pretentious to assume Malia Obama's politics will be similar to that of her father's. Case in point, Ron Reagan Jr.'s political views are a complete 180 of his father's.
Sounds like Reagan let his kids develop their own political views. I have a hunch that the Clintons and Obamas started their programming young.
Or maybe they're just Trump-level trolls.
I used to practice in Texas, and the law there, which is pretty typical, allows fetal remains to be disposed of as "red bag" medical waste only if they are below a certain weight (can't be arsed to look it up). Your later-term abortions have always had to be handled as a dead person rather than as a tumor or somesuch. So this isn't a brand-new requirement, its more of an expansion of a previous rule.
Which is actually not a bad approach, IMO, as it mostly comes into play with stillbirths. The new rule is just petty harassment, I think.
To be clear - the old rule isn't a bad approach.
Without that Texas law, what is a family to do when a hospital throws their stillborn child in the trash?
Try again and hope their next kid isn't such a wuss?
Sure. How about we do that every time someone loses a child. Good luck with that.
From what RC says, it sounds like that was taken care of by the old law.
Yes. That is my point.
Ah. I was unclear on which law "that law" referred to.
For stillbirths above a certain weight, it was, yes.
People who lose a fetus/baby late in pregnancy can and do grieve for it as if it had been born. As I recall, below the weight wasn't super human-looking yet, so whisking it away in a red bag was probably better for the parents as well.
Where's my fuckin' Twitter shoutout?
Also, the web developers here at my new job are lackadaisical as shit. They're Canadian, though, so...
So you all should rest easy that you got your money's worth from the State Dept Embassy web devs, at the very least (the team I was on doesn't really exist anymore and was decimated by a couple of Obama appointees that undertook a combo scorched earth/nepotistic approach to management).
my new job
Congrats.
The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for Monday's attack at the Ohio State University, carried out by student Abdul Razak Ali Artan.
Tyros. Remember that earthquake in Japan?
That was me.
If they really wanted to make an impact, they should have claimed credit for Michigan's loss in the Horseshoe on Saturday.
"We praise our zebra brothers' righteous attack on the infidel Wolverines! Death to James Harbaugh!"
Ready for Michelle?
Speaking of people with no experience or qualifications...
Also, speaking of political dynasties...
Racist!
They already tried a spousal end run around term limits. I wonder how that turned out.
I second this.
great article.
So has anyone gone back to the H&R archives to check out what the commentariat was saying about Obama after he was elected but before he started his first term?
I'm guessing it was almost entirely "Just give the guy a chance!"
I remember being hopeful that he might be good on war and civil liberties. Ha ha ha, oh stupid me. With Trump, I'm mostly just mildly hopeful that the dicking over will be redistributed to people I dislike and who incidentally probably deserve it.
I used to pick those turds (and Mary Janes) out of my haul every Halloween and toss them. Disgusting.
I wasn't saying that. I was saying he was going to be loser. And I also said the Republicans would take back the house in the midterms. i said that before he was inaugurated. I didn't think he would be re-elected.
I was saying that liberals were going to be very disappointed in him since they projected all their desires onto him and he wasn't that guy. I didn't realize that it didn't really matter what he did, that liberals would love him no matter what.
I think what you're driving at here, Nothing, is that much of the commentariat isn't as hard on Republicans as they are Democrats. I'll cop to that, especially since I haven't voted Republican in 20 years.
Do I think the Republicans suck? Yes. The Democrats suck worse - much, much worse.
Over the years I've learned that I love the worst candies of all time:
Mary Jane
Bit O'Honey
C. Howards Violets
Black licorice
Whoppers
Necco
I used to pick those turds (and Mary Janes) out of my haul every Halloween and toss them. Disgusting.
This, people, this man hath spake wisdom. This cements why Rhywun occupies a seat on the Top Ten Groovy List of Commentariat Excellence.
I agree wholeheartedly with this list.
Violets are... interesting.
Neccos are freaking great - I don't get the hate.
Real black licorice puts most candy to shame. it's great
Worst candy of all time is the tootsie roll. I wouldn't be surprised if it was communist in origin. Because actual chocolate that doesn't taste like a chewy brown candle is for decadent capitalists
What are those things called that are circles of carmel around a white sugary substance? Talk about having to pay admission for the good stuff. And oh yeah -- orange sugar peanuts!
Whopppers aren't that bad. Can't stand the rest though.
Huh?
Huh?
Huh?
Ugh!
Yum!
Huh?
Real black licorice puts most candy to shame. it's great
Oh dear, Blessed lap83, your poor, poor child, exposed to one of the most vile of candies, licorice. You should be pretty far into your pregnancy, you might as well start doing Jagermeister shots a couple of times a week.
Worst candy of all time is the tootsie roll. I wouldn't be surprised if it was communist in origin. Because actual chocolate that doesn't taste like a chewy brown candle is for decadent capitalists
Tootsie Rolls are a perfectly wonderful candy, and fills a niche quite nicely. You are clearly suffering delusions brought along by that swirling cauldron of gestational hormones.
I think that was the universal thought.
I never thought he would get the ACA passed. But I thought he might be moderately not entirely sucky on civil liberties but would be a disaster for the economy.
So:
Right: economy, GOP wins house.
Wrong: 2nd term, ACA, civil liberties
He made good use of the IRS.
Yes I do.
A 557 in 30-06. Very nice and have taken a couple of deer with it. Only complaint was that the bolt wasn't all that smooth when it was new. I polished the rails and now it is like silk. My son has it and never uses it. I kinda wish I had it back.
I have an old cz75 and, for a 9mm, it's pretty awesome. Not finicky about ammo, runs clean or dirty.
OH. And I bought 100 pieces of nickel plated brass for it, trickled 47 gr of IMR-4064 and capped them with 165 gr Sierra Game King HPs. They clock out at 2700 fps. It drops deer like a lightning strike.
Not cheap. He has that too.
I am sure I thought he would do something right, but I can't remember what it was. I knew he was going to be an asshole on civil liberties and people were fooling themselves. Anyone who was optimistic about that after he chose Holder as his AG was delusional.
Yeah, I remember stating some modest hope he'd follow through on his civil rights stuff & transparency, instead of dropping it like it was shit and then washing his hands for the remainder of his presidency.
I really thought the left would turn on him and Johnsonize him. I knew he wasn't going to change anything about Bush's anti-terror policy. I really thought the left would turn on him when they figured that out. But it turned out they didn't. They really don't care as long as they are in charge.
Oh the projection - it was disgusting.
Anyone remember the "Bush should leave the presidency early so Obama can take the reigns" that was floating around after the election?
For the yucks - someone should write that same article but just put in Trump instead.
Anyone remember the "Bush should leave the presidency early so Obama can take the reigns" that was floating around after the election?
Now those same people are trying to bully the electors into overturning the election and voting for Hillary.
*reins
I think that is true in many ways. But it's also easy to get carried away with being pleased over Hilary's defeat and forget that Trump is pretty terrible on most things too. And a number of people seem to be stuck in election mode.
You mean Circus Peanuts ?
