Californians Reject Condoms in Porn, Defeat Proposition 60
Proposition 60 was defeated 54 to 46 percent. Here's how the porn industry is reacting.

In a rare bright spot among 2016 election results, California's Proposition 60, which would have deputized citizens to sue porn stars for not wearing condoms, was soundly defeated Tuesday. With 96 percent of votes counted, around 54 percent of California voters have rejected the proposition and 46 percent supported it.
For background on the now-defeated ballot initiative, check out this post of mine from yesterday.
Here's how sex workers and other folks in the adult-film industry have been reacting to the news:
It appears that we've successfully defeated #Prop60. Thanks to @RealJuliaAnn, @tashareign @thejessicadrake & ALL who fought the good fight.

I'm so proud of my industry defeating Prop 60!! In other news, I'm really disgusted with my country treating this election like a joke.

I don't care that Donald Trump won all I care is that Prop 60 didn't pass in California and porn will stay alive.

Words can't express my gratitude toward @therealJuliaAnn &her time/energy invested in informing the public. She is the reason prop60 failed!

Looks like #prop60 isn't going to pass! Any other news we missed about people getting fucked without a condom?
— Brazzers (@Brazzers) November 9, 2016
#Prop60 win should show people just how much can be done with unity! We conquered big money, critics & the odds! You can make a difference!

Phew.
This should be the lead headline, not that other news.
(Jimmy) hats off to all who worked to defeat Prop 60.
*polite applause*
Last night was sort of a libertarian moment. The wicked witch is dead. GOP keeps Congress. More legal cannabis. Good stuff.
Anyone know what percentage of the vote Johnson got? It was looking good at 5am this morning when I finally passed out, lol.
3%
Thanks. Just now noticed they posted it in the AM links. I went to sleep at 5am this morning EST, still need to inject another round of caffeine.
Yeah, i saw the writing on the wall around, IDK, before midnight mountain time, having caffeine water now.
I don't think that one party seizing all three branches of government should be called a libertarian moment. Pretty sure that this is gonna suck.
No alt-text on that photo? Notorious ENB doesn't care about the little people.
Antonio Cromartie-approved.
And Paul, Massie, and Amash all still in Congress. Can we please elect some more libertarians to Congress in 2018? Better to check the Trumputin you know.
Delicious Proggie Tears!
But, poor little Tommie Poo, just let your good progtard buddie, Frank Bruni, console you with these wise words: "Hillary is like a piece of salmon on a plate with cucumber and dill". *BARF*
They've started with all the "look it all the homeless that just appeared" article earlier than I could have even guessed./
Yeah, all of those guys I see on my commute to work, sleeping under bridges and walking in the street with cardboard signs, are just apparitions. And somehow the Democrats, who've been in control of Baltimore for the last 50 years, just could not see them. Now they've suddenly appeared? How cute.
I was makeing a joke about the title. But yes those articles along with the "how bad labor participation rates have been, how we are at war with like 6 different people, how we've had zero growth besides what's propped up by gov. spending, the fact that VA is letting our vets die, the catastrophically high insurance rates and the final paragraph of every single one of those concern trolling about what Donald Trump administration is going to do to fix these things" are going to out in force.
"what sort of role model he could be for our children"
OH NO! Won't someone think of the chi-hulllll-dren?
They truly have absolutely no self-awareness, do they?
Prophylactivism fail.
You seem to be on a bit of a roll today, Fisty.
*applause*
Awwww, AJ Applegate is a prog? Very sad.
Meanwhile, grocery bags have just been banned. Even though my county voted overwhelmingly against the ban, we get to live with the ridiculous law. It's an authoritarian moment.
