Trump Won't Pay Polling Firm, CNN and Brazile Parted Ways, Chicago Has Deadly Weekend: P.M. Links

-
Torin Boyd/Polaris/Newscom Donald Trump's campaign is disputing more than $750,000 it owes to a polling firm and is declining to pay it.
- CNN has cut ties with Donna Brazile after emails released by Wikileaks showed her apparently sending the campaign likely questions for Hillary Clinton before the second debate. CNN, though, also denies having given Brazile any advance information. Brazile actually resigned earlier in the month, but this is all coming out now.
- The White House says it does not believe FBI Director James Comey is trying to influence the election with his Friday announcement of discovering more potentially relevant emails in the Hillary Clinton investigation.
- A source told CNBC that Comey didn't want to identify Russia as the source of hacking intended to influence America's presidential election so close to the election.
- A judge ruled today that the audio recordings of the 911 calls by Orlando nightclub shooter Omar Mateen must be made public.
- This weekend was Chicago's deadliest of the year: 17 people were fatally shot.
- The Pirate Party in Iceland underperformed the polls over the weekend and came in third place in the country's election, but still improved and may gain seven seats in the parliament. The tech-oriented party has libertarian leanings in a lot of areas connected to civil and individual rights (free speech, intellectual property reform, ending the drug war, et cetera). But I've also been told by several Icelandic libertarians that they are more inclined toward the direction of left-wing government central planning and control of economic issues than libertarians would generally support.
- Police in Montreal snooped on a journalist's phone in order to identify his sources. The sources were apparently leaks from within the police department connected to stories where police were alleged to have fabricated evidence in drug and gang arrests.

Someone's a bad negotiator.
Hello.
I was going to link to La Presse journalist Patrick Lagace being spied on by the SPVM.
Awful and disturbing. I hope he hits back.
I was going to link to La Presse journalist Patrick Lagace being spied on by the SPVM.
...but then you got high?
Scott - that sunamabitch (as my father used to pronounce it) - usurped me.
On another subject, Mr. Z., do you have a take on this?
Did Moscow Botch a Coup in Montenegro?
http://www.the-american-intere.....ontenegro/
I do not, as I haven't really followed things back there since Milosevic fell. Though it's slightly comical that Djukanovic (PM in question) is the last remaining of all the power players from early 90s, and he apparently (literally) dodged the bullet again.
The idea that Russians are pissy about NATO expansion "eastward" when ti comes to a place that's to the west of Greece is a bit...strange. Especially since their economic interests in the region are probably secure until Montenegro enters EU at the very least.
Thanks, Mr. Z.
Finally, a legitimate excuse to post the Montenegrin National Anthem.
Hello, darkness, my old friend, I've come to talk with you again.
As far as I'm concerned, if it's Canadian news and it didn't come from Rufus, it's total shit.
"Canadian news" = hockey scores or an update on the world moose population?
Maple syrup futures.
Patrick Lagac? is your average left wing journalist ''I have the moral high ground'' smug guy. You can say that for pretty much all of the La Presse staff. But they would never ever allow themselves to go against the law.
I don't like the spin he puts in his editorials pieces, but he is an ethical kind of guy when it comes to his journalistic work, and I respect that. Nothing in his work seems to warrant such invasion of privacy from the SPVM.
To me, it just shows that those guys and that judge that authorized the warrants are really really really stupid. Because everyone knows that La Presse is own by Power Corp., which is own by the Desmarais family, which are close friends of the whole Canadian liberal establishment... Montreal Mayor : Denis Coderre ; ex federal Liberal minister. Quebec PM : Philippe Couillard, Liberal. Canada PM : Zoolander ; Liberal. All bankrolled by the Desmarais.
It's courageous to go against a bad guy for good reasons when he is backed by powerfull interests. It's really stupid to go against an average person for bad reasons when he is backed by powerfull interests.
The whole La Presse staff ripped their shirts this morning. Montreal Mayor did it earlier today, we can only expect more for the rest of the week.
Isn't this his #1 MO - sticking it to vendors?
He'll stiff all the insurance companies and defense contractors to balance the budget.
I just assumed he misunderstood what "polling" referred to.
That makes him smart.
Trump's been doing business this way his whole life, it's how he negotiates. Signing a contract is the end of negotiations for most people, for Trump it's just the beginning. You tried ripping him off by quoting a high price, you didn't deliver what you promised, you did a really shitty job, he's going to sue you, he's going to the papers with the story of what a nasty no-good crook you are, he'll make damn sure you never get a penny out of him no matter how much you spend on lawyers and lawsuits, he should charge you for the business lesson he just gave you on making sure you keep some negotiating leverage. Or you can take whatever settlement he offers and he'll tell everybody what a great guy you are. That's his standard negotiating template. Get the money up front.
Like voting him into office on his promise to do good things. You're just retarded if you think he's going to deliver what he promised - how the hell you gonna keep him to his word? Take back your vote? Trump will not deliver just as a point of honor, the priciple of the thing. What kind of business genius would he be if he just gave away shit he didn't have to, like keeping promises? He's a chiseler and a swindler, it's what he does. He can't help himself, he's gotta screw you over if he gets a chance.
Blame me not, it is not my fault; it is that of my nature; it is a constitutional habit I have of stinging.
Perhaps the polling company didn't live up to their end of the bargain.
I'll wait for more info before I pick sides.
"He's a chiseler and a swindler, it's what he does. He can't help himself, he's gotta screw you over if he gets a chance."
So, only infinitely better than the criminal cunt?
The White House says it does not believe FBI Director James Comey is trying to influence the election...
Or able to.
A judge ruled today that the audio recordings of the 911 calls by Orlando nightclub shooter Omar Mateen must be made public.
I heard in it he was praying the Rosary.
It's just going to be him self hating his sexuality. Obama told me so.
He was Deus Vulting all over the place!
What? Did I hear CRUSADE?
NON NOBUS DOMINI.
What the Hell did I just watch?!?
That sounds like Saracen talk to me, boy.
It's come to this: Donald Trump Waves LGBT Rainbow Flag at Colorado Rally
Check the photo.
Thanks. Yeah, that flag was thrown together in about two minutes with a Sharpie.
Not just LGBT, but LGBT to the fifth power.
Heh. That's what it does look like.
No, it's L * G * B * T ** 5
TRUMP to the fifth dimension.
Why no Q? Does he hate the queers? Do the gays know about this?
Also I have no idea what the difference is.
Nice facial expression. I wonder if that's representative, or an unflattering frame from a video?
I really have no idea on where Trump stands (or what he says) on the gays.
If I understand it correctly the key criticism of Trump by the gay activists is that he picked Mike Pence as his running mate. And Pence is considered a horrible homophobe because he favored the Religious Freedom Restoration Bill, in other words "gay wedding cakes."
Otherwise, Trump is obviously the most gay-friendly Presidential candidate ever nominated by the GOP.
And let's face it. The people who think you should be able to force someone who hates you to do something they don't want to do were never going to like Trump anyway.
It is not people "who hate you". It is people "who think that thing you do, which you have wrapped your entire identity around, is wrong".
Seems that way to me too. Yet somehow I have friends who are convinced that if he is elected something horrible is going to happen to gay people.
I believe Pence is on record as being a big supporter of pray the gay away conversion therapy as well
Ahhhh. OK, now I get it. Unless he waves a red flag with a hammer and sickle on it they will hate him.
Let's go big Trump?
Well, that's a bit of a letdown--I was half-expecting him to be waving it around like Mel Gibson in The Patriot.
Trump could put all the Christian bakers in re-education camps where they will be forced to watch Some Like It Hot 1,000 times, and the gay activists would still support the Democrats.
These are the shits who think Peter Thiel isn't a real gay.
So, Keepin' It Real with Peter Thiel isn't likely to help, huh?
How ya doin' ?
"CNN has cut ties with Donna Brazile "
Nice fig leaf, CNN
A judge ruled today that the audio recordings of the 911 calls by Orlando nightclub shooter Omar Mateen must be made public.
But do NOT file-share. If you want your own, pay for your own legal copy.
WHY ARE THERE SO MANY LINKS?
On time, with alt-text. Must be the commentariat's favorite.
Shackford cares. No Robbyhorses today!

Conflict of interest? What's that?
Happy Halloween everybody!
#BlackLicoriceMatters
Black Licorice is the candy being dolled out in all 9 circles of hell today.
#AniseToMouth
Thanks. I just did a spit take and i wasn't even drinking anything.
I heard you swallowed. Freaking Ruskies! WE WANT CORRECT INFORMATION, DA?
Good one.
You sir win the internets
I'm with you, friend. Black licorice is just licorice, though. The other stuff isn't, and it's guilty of candy appropriation.
How the heck is the Trump story leading over the Brazile story? His is a dispute with two sides to the story. Hers is a case of blatantly abusing your position to give an unfair advantage to your preferred candidate, and indicative of what is clearly a pattern of behavior from Clinton, her campaign, and everyone even loosely associated with it.
I haven't the foggiest, Joe M. But I've been assured that these two candidates are equally bad.
There's no such thing as equally bad. But they are both terrible.
I blame Robby.
I think you might be putting too much significance on the link order.
I know. There's so many women accusing Trump of pinching their ass or approaching underage girls about sex that it's become ho-hum. Who do you give the biggest deviant prize to-- Donald Trump or Anthony Weiner? I give it to Trump by a nose.
I give it to Trump by a nose.
Because of the (D) that normally follows Weiner.
Follows? All the info seems to show that he leads with the D
Bill Clinton looks down from his mountain of sexual abuses and laughs at them both.
I think it is an island, not a mountain
More like, when he got bored of dicking bimbos the usual way, he took a plane to partake of more exotic fare.
... there was more to this thought, I swear
Thanks for the comment, american non sequitur.
Weiner is but a learner, Bubba Clinton is the master.
...and the old bull says, "I'm gonna walk down there and screw all those cows,"
Trump by a nose.
As if you didn't know Weiner is Jewish.
Bigot.
The Pirate Party in Iceland underperformed the polls...
Can't get the stoner vote out, huh?
Millennials pissed!
It was either vote, or sack Panama. What would you do?
The Iceland situation is rather more complicated than that.
From what I've read, the main right-of-center party got the most votes, but not enough seats to have a majority with their traditional party. The Pirates had supported a coalition with three hard-left parties, but that coalition didn't get a majority either. There's a breakaway party that won enough seats to keep either coalition from getting a majority.
Iceland will go on even if the politicians can't form a government for months. It worked for Spain and Belgium.
Exactly which libertarians would generally support "left-wing government central planning and control of economic issues"?
It is a cosmopolitan point of view.
This weekend was Chicago's deadliest of the year: 17 people were fatally shot.
This makes total sense though? From a crime perspective, cops are geared for riots, fat purses walking about cause of the World Series, etc. etc.
You know, I'm beginning to think that Chicago should consider a ban on murder. It's getting out of hand.
Or at least common sense gun laws.
Wikileaks to launch phase 3 of election coverage
If Doris got her oats in phase 1, is phase 3 when Assange reaches for the ol' Billy Baroo?
Oh, Billy, Billy, Billy. This is a biggie! Don't let me down, Billy!
Seriously going to be shocked if Julian Assange makes it to the election date. Must be so many Intel Agencies gunning for him.
Not just Assange, I'll bet there are a few dozen CIA agents roaming the earth with garrotting equipment in their pockets tracing down Tor connections.
That sounds hyperbolic but it's not far off at all.
Intelnews.org is my go-to for espionage coverage. The spy game fascinates me.
Judge dismisses part of Eramo defamation suit, leaving other parts intact. Readers will recall that this is the suit against Rolling Stone magazine by a UVA dean over the Sarbrina Rubing Erdely article about the UVA rape hoax.
Don't tell me what to recall.
Tonio purposefully used the adjective readers , Fist.
That would be anoun, Chuck. Geez.
This weekend was Chicago's deadliest of the year: 17 people were fatally shot.

Quebec is a dictatorship, after all.
Huma the Surrogate Daughter now nameless staffer.
Wonder what it's like for Huma, gasping for air getting flushed and looking up to rim of the bowl and seeing Hillary waving and smiling, but not looking anymore at her.
Huma watched so many go down the flush before, but from the rim with Hillary - strange the new perspective must be.
Hillary's campaign is starting to look like the last 15 minutes of Goodfellas.
... See, your murderers come with smiles...
Nah, she's a true believer and happy to self combust for the cause.
Please don't bring up Huma and Hillary's rimjobs lest SugarFree construct another masterpiece of horror.
I dunno, sugarfree's been slipping lately... the last few have been merely grotesque, his earlier works were more horrifying...
Talking about nameless people in the Hillary campaign - where the hell have they stuffed Bill? I haven't seen him around in weeks...
Talking about nameless people in the Hillary campaign - where the hell have they stuffed Bill? I haven't seen him around in weeks...
The door to the isolation cell creaked open.
Rats scurried and Bill blinked at the sudden light, and he perceived silhouette of a guard, then a wincing, whining form tossed in, itself a human abstraction of the rats.
Before the door slammed to another epoch of darkness, likewise beaten and only in underwear and socks, Clinton saw Anthony Weiner had joined him.
Throw in Donna Brazile and the lads will have a wonderful time!
I doubt she kept 165.000 emails on her laptop by accident. She had those emails as blackmail material to keep Hillary from ever turning on her. Then her pervert husband gets them snagged by the FBI. What a kick in the teeth that must be.
Damn. The only positives that've come from this election are the Hannity/Trump and Hillary/Huma stories of true, abiding love. Now you tell me it was all a sham?!
Read the Wikileaks. You can tell from her emails Humma can't stand Hilary. No way were they ever lovers, fevered dreams of the right wing or not
They could have been lovers even though the underling wasn't happy about the idea.
There are rumors she is a Muslim Brotherhood plant because of her family connections.
If she is committed to the cause she might just consider it her duty.
I agree. This was her blue dress.
Poor Tony Penis.
If only Huma put the sexual effort into her marriage that she does into Hillary, this never would have happened.
I'm beginning to wonder where the baby came from.
A nanny is basically raising the kid at this point, so it's not like she's acting like an actual mother or anything.
Her first loyalty and affection has always been to Hillary, kids, husband, or otherwise.
Thanks to those of you here who bought my book. I know some of you did. So thanks to you.
Best of luck to Lord Humungus on your new writing project.
Ranjit, did you ever live in Virginia? I knew someone with the same name when I was in college in the seventies/eighties.
Tonio, I have never lived in Virginia.
Ranjit Singh is my pen name. I am keeping my identity private.
Ranjit Singh is my pen name. I am keeping my identity private.
Better be no cultural appropriation going on with the name, or my snowflake's gonna melt.
I didn't pull a Yi-Fen Chou / Michael Derrick Hudson. I really am Indian. I can use the choicest expletives in Hindi to prove it, but the people here who may find that offensive.
Which, the expletives or the Hindi?
The fact that it implies no one else can learn Hindi explitives
Hindi profanity is quite easy. All one needs to do is follow this construction:
[family member kinship term] + "chod"
+1 Donna Chang
I really am Indian. I can use the choicest expletives in Hindi to prove it, but the people here who may find that offensive.
So you blatantly appropriate English I see, and poorly with much disrespect for the rules.
-Snowflake melts.
Sorry - that snowflake could have been saved if I had sequestered that extra "who".
*Looks around*
You have no idea where you are, do you?
...people here who may find that offe....hahahahahahaha
Get on the next Shikha article and start berating her in Hindi, please.
Waray chuy?
Thanks. Understand.
I am an Indian immigrant though, and my story in the 1st chapter is true. My social circles are such that I can't openly admit to being a pro-Second Amendment man and a gun owner.
Yeah, I have that problem a lot. Gay and all.
It's sad to know that you have to hide your convictions in the freest country or anywhere else for that matter.
It's the social pressure. I will be raked over the coals and made an outcaste by my left-leaning family and friends.
That "outcaste" Hinduism reference by the way is intentional, and I'm talking about mostly non-Hindu people I know.
If I had my real name out, I could have done a lot more marketing. I am facing some challenges with marketing because of it, but the cost of revealing my identity will be too high.
Understood sir, we will consider you an undercover brother.
I will buy your book. I will let you know what I think.
Done
Thanks Suthenboy. I look forward to your comments.
What is your book? I have been working for a living lately and missed it.
here you go, John.

"Donald Trump's campaign is disputing more than $750,000 it owes to a polling firm "
Maybe Trump only pays for polls that show him winning. The rest are clearly flawed
He paid em to put a thumb on the scale but forgot to tell em which side?
Police in Montreal snooped on a journalist's phone in order to identify his sources.
If you're already making up evidence, what's a little spying?
"We are completely uncomfortable with what we have learned about her interactions with the Clinton campaign while she was a CNN contributor."
http://www.sfgate.com/entertai.....425032.php
With such high standards, how could anyone imagine that CNN might be the Clinton News Network?
"Completely uncomfortable" is such a weird way to say something. I guess they couldn't find a stronger word that would make her look bad.
"We're completely uncomfortable that people found out"
"We're just gonna equivocate and trust nobody notices" fuckers are 2/3 right though...
Remember when people questioned this was possibly happening (and obvious to others) they were told they were crazy because not Fox and objective, something, something?
And what sort of a deplorable person are you to think Clinton would engage in such behavior? Only Trump would do such a thing!
Apparently, Trump also said something along time ago about Wiener having access to classified information through Huma. It was laughed off at the time.
I used to subscribe to National Lampoon. Glad I saved all the issues; I'm checking off the stories that have come true.
I love how the media suddenly discovers its ethics when a black person is involved. They don't seem to concerned about their white contributors working for the Clinton campaign.
That seems like a stretch.
Nuthin's a stretch these days.
That the left and their allies would hold a black person to a higher ethical standard than a white person? That sounds ludicrous to me. Next you'll expect them to disavow over half a century of identity politicking.
"Donald Trump's campaign is disputing more than $750,000 it owes to a polling firm and is declining to pay it."
It's his M-O I hear.
I think this is what he means by righting trade imbalances with countries.
I've dealt with a few douchebags like that. Unprofessional sons of bitches. Most of them were from New Jersey/New York. Surprise surprise.
I used to work for a mining company that would only negotiate paying their bills when they received notice that they were being sued. The acct kept all of the bills pinned up on a board in the order in which they expected to be sued.
I just saw William Weld on CNBC campaigning for Hillary again. Is he on the payroll?
A former Republican governor, running as the Libertarian vice-president, campaigning for the Democrat. WELD.
Wait, isn't Trump the 3rd-party candidate, Hillary the Republican, and Gary the Democrat?
I can't keep them straight
He's gone rogue!
Weld: "Mr. Trump braying about this latest development reminds me of the guy in Monty Python who says 'She's a witch, burn her! Burn her!" Weld said, with a mock British accent. "It has no more content than that. And the point of that skit in Monty Python was that those townspeople were ignorant and stupid -- not that they were great."
Note that in the movie it turned out that she really was a witch.
Burn!
"I got better."
Because she weighs the same as a duck?
and she admits it ("It's a fair cop")
Burn the Witch
In the movie it turned out they were all insane.
Most people in Washington are on the Clinton Inc. payroll, hence the pants shitting over Friday's FBI surprise.
Maybe Gary Johnson should have stopped smoking weed before he picked his VP.
Or after....at this point what difference does it make?
I knew Weld was going to be a disaster the minute Johnson announced him for the VP slot.
CNN has cut ties with Donna Brazile after emails released by Wikileaks showed her apparently sending the campaign likely questions for Hillary Clinton before the second debate.
I look forward to future leaks showing that CNN did not, in fact, cut ties.
Well, I suppose you can't work for CNN and be White House press secretary at the same time
The Democrat Party leadership swaps jobs back and forth as they evade scandal after scandal.
This is a simple gimmick I've seen used in other contexts:
A couple of weeks ago, when the story broke that Brazile gave Hillary the questions in advance, they prepared documents showing her officially leaving CNN.
Neither CNN nor Brazile announced this, but kept the documents on standby. If nothing ever came of it, they could toss the documents. If shit hit fan, they could use them later.
When the story got confirmed and even got bigger, they pulled out the documents so they could show everybody their professional ethics.
You're just trolling for the "cosmoes" comments, aren't you?
Tundra and I live right next door to the official Libertarian Paradise of the USA.
I'm not sure why they said that raising property taxes and water and server fees is non-Libertarian. When you read the article, it becomes clear that they are raising them in order to meet rising costs. I would think that conforming to financial reality is consistent with libertarian ideals.
Nice.
I'm not sure why they said that raising property taxes and water and server fees is non-Libertarian.
For the same Reason that lefty journos always bring up roadz and sommeliers.
Oops, premature post.
While raising taxes is not the most libertarian thing one could do, if you've cut everything non-essential, and still can't provide essential services, then raising taxes is an unfortunate necessity.
This is a clear example of why libertarians should focus on local politics while continuing to run candidates for President to preserve funding.
Water and sewer are billed based upon usage, so yeah it would make sense for their fees to go up if the costs have risen.
But property tax is levied as a percentage of the assessed value of property. An increase in that rate generally implies some fiscal demand other than just rising costs.
Also, they drew down the cash reserves and are paying for everything on a pay-as-you-go basis.
What is you Eegnant with a capital E? Using your money to pay for things is dumb, dumb, dumb.
Because everyone knows that letting municipalities invest money is a sure fire way to earn tons and tons of money. It is the reason that the Feds don't really even need any income tax revenue. They just invest their trillion dollar coin and watch the money roll in.
it will be great when we can all trip like they do and their methods start filtering to other places
Well, you guys do have a lot of Somalians there.
The Pirate Party in Iceland underperformed the polls over the weekend and came in third place in the country's election, but still improved and may gain seven seats in the parliament.
I look forward to headlines like this in America, where the LP starts getting actual seats in Congress.
Hey, my facederp has been lighting up with claims that Trump is facing trial for both racketeering and sexual assault. Any truth to that?
Oh, man. Would it not be hilarious if both major party candidates were behind bars before the inauguration?
That would be awesome. I wish I thought there was any real chance of that happening.
^See Clinton Inc. playbook for complete answer.
I doubt it. I don't see any links on any of the leftist news sites, like CNN.
No and no.
The point is to make that claim and force him to respond to it. If he doesn't, accuse him of hiding something. Harry Reid did the same thing to him yesterday.
Its a great MO
There is a post about it on Popehat.
But I've also been told by several Icelandic libertarians that they are more inclined toward the direction of left-wing government central planning...
Well, when you live on an island nation where every other person is probably your first cousin, you can't have people just marrying whoever they want!
Trump really does have her on the ropes and he throws her the I'm not paying these people what I owe them bone. Not much of a tactician, that guy.
But I've also been told by several Icelandic libertarians that they are more inclined toward the direction of left-wing government central planning and control of economic issues than libertarians would generally support.
No surprise, I looked at the election results of Iceland and just from the names, you could tell the majority were left-wing.
So what's up with the pipeline thing? My Derpbook is filled up with it and I'm sure they are all just social signalling on some bad information
They're pissed that the Bundys weren't executed on live TV.
^This, too.
The protesters are encouraging their supporters to "check in" to the event to confuse local law enforcement. Checking in is a facebook thing where you say you are at a particular place, like a bar or restaurant. Apparently the Sheriff's department where the protest is happening is checking the protesters' FB page and the protesters are alleging that law enforcement is harassing protesters. They are trying to make it look like there are thousands more people there than actually are.
The official statement said something about police harassing people in "prayer camps".
Remember, anything and everything is sacred Indian burial ground, including where my childhood goldfish and parakeet are buried. So something something warpaint feathered headdress NO PIPELINES EVER.
Sounds like the cops/feds are going overboard with the arrests, which is made worse because the Malheur occupiers weren't burned at the stake.
Yeah, they only shot one of them, and I'm told he was making a furtive move for his gun, which makes it ok.
Because he's white, I guess? I can't keep track of the "logic" ...
Looks like a case of the government violating property rights of some Amerindian tribe with a pipeline, based on some treaty the government signed giving the tribe the rights to the land the pipeline's being built on.
From what I can tell, the tribe's claims are legit and the government is screwing over their right to that land, but I'm not 100% sure of the validity of the tribe's claims because the VAST majority of the property rights angle to this story is buried under a mountain of environmentalist bullshit, so...
That's kinda what I was getting from my reading, too. Although there's some weirdness with "actually owned by the Indians" land and "unceded tribal area" that makes it a little more confusing - IIRC the pipeline goes through territory marked as "unceded" which means it was in a more gray legal area.
As I understand it the pipeline isn't even on Indian land but runs north of it.
From what I've read, the pipeline is supposed to be upstream from the Tribe's land, because the promoters didn't want to have to deal with the said Indian tribe. So some of the Indian people are just really pissed they are not getting paid for that. And of course the environmentalist jumped on the wagon.
In others words, are pretty clear case of NIMBY.
"This weekend was Chicago's deadliest of the year: 17 people were fatally shot."
Well, when you have the type of wild west gun laws where people can just walk around with machine guns like in Chicago, what do you gun nuts expect?!
"This weekend was Chicago's deadliest of the year:..."
...Cubs dropped 2 of 3 at Wrigley.
"CNN has cut ties with Donna Brazile after emails released by Wikileaks showed her apparently sending the campaign likely questions for Hillary Clinton before the second debate."
We're shocked - SHOCKED!
/pushes Crowley and Cooper into the closet.
Shocked!
It's bad enough that you're making Cooper go back in the closet, but you have to try and stuff Crowley in there with him?
She knows some tricks.
You don't get a name like Candy without knowing a few
Them's some meaty effin' links, Shackford. Well done.
The White House says it does not believe FBI Director James Comey is trying to influence the election with his Friday announcement of discovering more potentially relevant emails in the Hillary Clinton investigation.
They must be pretty confident that none of His Majesty's fingerprints are on this one.
What's he supposed to say? It's not like the IRS thing where they can pin it on some lackey- it's HIS bureau. The obvious follow up to accusing comey of foul play would be, "fire him then" and then we're full on banana republic. (In addition, BHO hate hate hates HRC, so some small part of him is enjoying this)
Shackelford is the hero of lynx.
Oh, speaking of Iceland: Women leave work 14% early to protest minimum wage
Such economic ignorance, since women already get paid the same for equal work
By the same reasoning, shouldn't all men who make less than the average income leave work early too?
I think boys of all grade levels should walk out early to protest the grades gap in school because it's 2016 and everyone's fucking retarded
I look forward to citations by Hillbots of one of those fake news sources, "explaining" how it happened totally differently.
As a Christian woman of color Donna knows persecution she does.
She said so herself and this is obviously persecution of a minority female Christian black woman of color minority black woman of color.
Asking her about this accusation is clearly persecution so stop it right now.
The question at CNN is who gave Donna the Q's? She wasn't in the debate prep, so there is more chicanery there.
At the same time, in a seeming departure from Libertarian principles of thrift, the city has raised property taxes and water and sewer fees.
I consider fee-for-service the one truly libertarian form of government.
Hey, wanna listen to Donald Trump talk about how he'd like to date a 10-yo? Here ya go... http://www.cbsnews.com/news/mo.....-10-years/
Someone should give him an ankle monitor. If yokels do succeed in making him President they should probably put him on the sexual predator list so that Capitol Hill and its environs know what they're dealing with.
10 + 10 = 20
He's 43. She's 10. A match made in heaven.
He said he would date her when she's 20. It's creepy and tasteless but it's not pedophilia.
That's basically how Celine Dion got with her husband Ren? Ang?lil. Worked out for them.
Come to think of it... he should just fucking join ISIS. They're fascist assholes into kink and he's a fascist asshole into kink.
Well that's the dumbest fucking thing you've said since the last time you praised a communist regime.
Come to think of it... he should just fucking join ISIS. They're fascist assholes into kink and he's a fascist asshole into kink.
Jeesh. Don't look now but your racist Islamophobia is showing.
Hey amsoc, tell us all again how you want to put religious minorities in forced labour camps. Because that's clearly not an indicator of fascism.
Yeah, I'm in the tank for this 10 yo girl and people like her...
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/w.....ice=tablet
P.S. I do not view her as a sex object.
P.S. You're a compulsive liar, therefore you probably actually do view her as a sex object.
How many people are going to have to die so you can feel good about yourself?
AmSock should have that tattooed on his forehead, so that he sees it every time he looks at his reflection.
if they didn't do that for bill, lbj, or kennedy...
They should ban you from the internet for being too stupid.
If yokels do succeed in making him President they should probably put him on the sexual predator list so that Capitol Hill and its environs know what they're dealing with.
One thing that escapes Hillary's honed spidey-senses is pervert proximity detection. She's constantly stumbling into breeding with them, covering for them, marrying surrogate daughters off to them, and so forth.
Your tears are so sweet. Please keep it up. Wait til all the emails come out for the finale.
You mean the emails the FBI director said were pertinent, but which he hadn't read? Jesus Christ, you guys are libertarians. This is the last place I thought I'd read about how fishing expeditions are good ideas.
Fishing expeditions are for suckers.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha *laps more amsoc tears up* ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ho ha ha.
Amsoc several weeks ago: I'm not a shill for Clinton.
Amsoc every bloody day since then: THE MOUNTAINS OF EVIDENCE AREN'T REAL YOU CRAZY RIGHT-WINGERS.
^And thus a socialist puke shows his true colors.
Government agency investigates government employee's official correspondence = Fishing expedition
What fun new definitions are there in Clinton apologetics land today?
I would be just fine if the FBI spent every bit of its time and funding doing nothing but investigating other government employees. I think think that would be a good thing. I bet they could catch more criminals that way.
"You mean the emails the FBI director said were pertinent, but which he hadn't read?"
We mean the emails he found which are pertinent because they are evidence which that lying hag withheld from the investigators.
Man, you are one stupid shit!
By finale I'm referring to suicide by 2 shots to the back of the head, commie/clintonista style.
AmSoc is freaking out man, lololololol. He's gonna go full on Tony any minute now.
That reply was actually to your last post.
It's delicious, this is how to gauge if the Dems are scared, some Reps too. He hee.
Be fair to Tony, he's just insecure, a liar and mildly dumb. Amsoc is pathetic, a compulsive liar and a bloody idiot.
Tony gets paid to troll
If so, he's way overpaid.
Funny how Trump said this on a nationally televised program over 20 years ago and not only did no one have a shit fit about it, Hollywood gave him cameos in several of their productions.
Guess liberal Tinseltown really is full of pedophiles.
This is old news fake scandal.
All this was covered a month ago and all the cool people have moved on to more current unproven accusations.
If yokels do succeed in making him President they should probably put him on the sexual predator list so that Capitol Hill and its environs know what they're dealing with.
But we shouldn't hesitate to turn Hillary loose with the national checkbook. Because HONEST AND FORTHRIGHT.
Yeah, that sort of thing is totally not what CNN would do at all.
In that last debate, where they asked both candidates to just tell why they would be a good president, you could tell that Clinton expected the question and had spent time rehearsing a canned answer. Trump however was caught off guard, but still managed to somewhat keep his composure.
I really love how CNN pretends like they didn't know what Brazile was doing. That's so totally believable. Especially after watching the sycophants openly trying to influence the debate in favor of Clinton.
All this time Pandas have just been waiting for the right moment to strike back at their oppressors
"But they are so cute!"
It's a fucking bear.
It's more like a giant raccoon. They call it a bear because of the size.
Who coon bear the thought?
It's actually a bear. Red pandas, which are much more racoon-like, aren't really related to giant pandas.
It's actually a bear. Red pandas, which are much more racoon-like, aren't really related to giant pandas.
Or maybe they're squirrels.
Police in Montreal snooped on a journalist's phone in order to identify his sources. The sources were apparently leaks from within the police department connected to stories where police were alleged to have fabricated evidence in drug and gang arrests.
If you want a goofy story about Montreal policing, see the 1969 Murray Hill riot, also known as the 'Great Taxi War'.
Short version: Montreal cops go on strike because they say they're underpaid and tired of disarming FLQ bombs. The taxi cab union decides that the limousine companies' monopoly on airport pickups is wrong and decide to go nuts. So they start rioting, attacking company buildings. Eventually there's an owner and several employees on top of their building's rooftop taking shots at attacking union members with rifles. They had to call in the provincial cops, and one of them was shot and killed in the chaos.
The Montreal cops aren't allowed to strike anymore.
If the phone's information is in English, would Montreal cops refuse to read it?
Any 2nd amendment fan should copy-paste the last minute of that video.
Shopkeeper left his shop, scared of the rioters. Later on saw people walking down the street with his ware. His neighbor was armed with a gun. Kept the rioters away from his shop and even his other neighbor's shop.
A conservative is a liberal that got mugged.
Hey, anyone here want to talk about Gary Johnson and how he'd probably make a good President? The Trumpians rubbing their dicks together in the commentariat is a little too much.
GayJay isn't even mentioned in the links. You don't read the articles, you're here only for the pictures.
He even brought his own video with him. Something about a 10 year old girl.
I love show-and-tell. That video is the one where Trump, some 30 years removed from elementary school, tells a 10 yo that she's hot.
You're the only one. I think Gary Johnsonwould be a good choice and I find his limited government approach to the drug war, military spending, and foreign interventions broadly appealing.
He's also the only candidate who gives a fuck about freedom of speech.
PLEASE STOP TALKING ABOUT THE TOTALLY NOTHINGBURGER EMAIL THING IM NOT WORRIED ITS NOTHING IM SURE HEY TRUMP FUCKS 10 YEAR OLDS
^Spot on.
I'm not worried about emails the FBI hasn't read yet. Why are you?
I especially like the part here where the Reuters journo names the specific IT guy who told John Podesta "Yeah, that phishing email from the Ukraines looks totally legit to me dood"
I guess the point is, "Whomever currently employs this guy? Just so you know"
Good lord. That's Phishing 101.
That's like Gary Johnson dumb.
Everyone knows Google uses Bitly links for random change-password entry forms.
Hmmm... I totally thought Clinton totally fostered a work climate where her underlings would challenge her and tell her when she's wrong.
Especially that up-and-comer who described the private email server as "fucking insane". She got promoted, right?
The IT guy was in on the hack. No one is that stupid. He either was in on it or hated Podesta and his employers so much he wanted them hacked and knew they were dumb enough to believe him.
Or maybe he was so blown away that these people were dumb enough to ask him this that he meant his answer sarcastically. That is very possible.
I think the IT guy fucked up.
Note that 20 minutes later, he sent an email with the correct link to change your password.
So basically, he looked at the email, checked the URL by clicking on it, and was fooled. So he says, "Shit! I need to save Podesta from embarassment, tout suite."
Then after sending the email, he starts thinking, "what if the email itself was part of the scam"?
Maybe he checks the link a second time and realizes he's fucked up... How can he fix the mess? Send the proper link, of course!
So he does. But he doesn't want to get in trouble so he doesn't send out an email telling Podesta not to click to original link. Or maybe he makes a phone call.
Never ascribe to malice what simple idiocy and face-saving can accomplish.
But how.could anyone think that was legit? No one let alone an IT guy is that stupid.
The IT guy is probably some moderately big donor's idiot nephew.
Who has a FB page and shit!
I would generally agree; you'd especially think a principal like Podesta would be secured. But look at the general body of work that sums up digital Clinton world (Clintron?) and I haven't seen the bottom.
Where was Clinton staff IT guy being like 'Public gmail bad for this kind of operation' in first place.
Agreed. This is the same group of people that among other things, thought it was A-OK to give root access to the database containing the cumulative SF-86 questionnaires (the biographical form you fill out in the process of getting a security clearance) to contractors in China. Or who still use their AOL.com email addresses for anything other than receiving cats playing piano video email spam. Or didn't see the problem with trying to use a Blackberry in a SCIF. Etc...
There really isn't an IT screwup story coming from these people that I wouldn't believe at this point. God help anyone who relies on the U.S. Gov't to keep confidential information, well, confidential.
Yeah, you need to log into google (not the link in the phishing email) and change your password.

Trump is Shai-Hulud, now we just need Kyle MacLachlan to stick hooks into his back and ride his way to the Presidency.
Sounds legit.
Lol--Hillary's CTR false-flaggers aren't even trying anymore.
The guy has a history.
Some people are just crazy.
I want to hear more about those flight attendants.
This election has brought out the crazies, I wouldn't be surprised if it was real.
I think it's less a question of, does this guy really exist and believe this crazy shit, and more of, who paid for the robocalls?
The next week is going to have 100 different Kamikaze-ratfucking attempts in each battleground state. I propose a contest to who can discover the most ridiculous one.
*I personally thought the anonymous mailed death-threats to Trump supporters in FL was pretty high-grade stuff. I presumed it was sent by Trump people in order to get the story in the news.

Cultural appropriation is a two way street apparently.
The narcissism of that piece is great, she spends more time padding herself on the back for her supposed achievements and moaning about her supposed emotional state than actually making any kind of point.
Hey Tiffany, here's some advice: work on your English paper.
"I felt it crucial to reflect on the pain that I am sick of swallowing."
Would you really kick out a spitter?
She's only doing it because her credentials need more vitality!
holy #(*!&@. (facepalm)
Ok, maybe that was how they sugarcoated the medicine.
I am guessing if she gave us the whole sentence where the word appears we could google it like her prof probably did and discover that she did commit plagiarism.
"I felt both disrespected and invalidated. For years I have spent ample time dissecting the internalized racism that causes me to doubt myself, my abilities, and my aspirations. As a student in an institution extremely populated with high-income white counterparts, I have felt the bitter taste of not belonging. It took until I used my cloud of doubt and my sociological training to realize that my insecurities are rooted in the systems I navigate every day. "
So she feels the internal angst that every young person feels and blames it on outside forces: everyone else. The narcissism is palpable.
It's easy for us to mock. As southerners, we never have to deal with people automatically assuming that we are dumb or inarticulate.
The stupidity! It hurts!
Great... I actually couldn't bare more than the first 2 paragraphs and then went straight to the last one. (Seriously, what kind of person starts an article or a story by telling the reader about all of their credentials apart from a person full of itself ?) I felt the urge to share, 'cause that's what we do in PA (public alcoholics). But now, you make me feel like I've missed a really bad piece of art ; the kind you have to appreciate for how bad it is.
And now, too many of you commented on how bad it is for me not to have to read the whole damn thing... I hope you're all happy with yourselves!
There is an ad on Pandora from some sort of "Montana Democrats" group aimed at getting out the vote, but there is a part where the voice says something along the lines of, "your vote is secret, but whether you voted is public record." Are the Democrats generally threatening some sort of shaming campaign against those who shirk their civic duty?
Also-
What the fuck is the deal with publishing a running tally from early and absentee voters? I thought those votes were held in suspended animation and only opened/counted on the official Election Day.
There's a university study that showed shaming people to vote increases turnout. The basic premise is that you notify people in advance of the election that you are going to send a report to all their neighbors of everyone who didn't vote in the most important election of ever. It's a nuclear tactic as it really pisses people off, but it does increase turnout over the control group. I believe this study has been successfully replicated, and it looks like Montana is desperate enough to pull if off the shelf.
Wasn't this the tactic that was proof Ted Cruz was the worst, ever?
"Hey. I heard you didn't vote."
"Go fuck yourself."
Not sure why these people would think that shame plays any part of my (or, anyone else's) decisions regarding voting.
The Hate Radio host for my drive home was hilariously mad. He was demanding that Comey be investigated and that he needs to immediately turn over all of his emails and texts. "This isn't about Hillary, this is about the criminal attempt to destroy our democracy that Comey is leading, in collusion with the Republicans and the Trump campaign."
A few months ago, of course, he was excoriating the Republicans for "...smearing the reputation of an honest and courageous FBI director."
All of that talk makes no sense to me. How is the FBI investigating something worse for democracy than the FBI declining to investigate something because there is an election coming up? Seems to me that if they have something worth investigating, not saying anything would be more harmful to an open and fair democratic process.
It's not supposed to make sense, it's a talking point that's been disseminated from the Clinton campaign and absorbed by partisans. It's got what a partisan hack needs to survive: an self indulgent argument where they are the noble, moral defender of some institution, concept or person and their opponent is the Devil. .
Yeah. And if Comey is ready that bad, why doesn't Obama fire him? Have you noticed how Democrats are treating Obama as some kind of bystander here rather than Comey's boss? If you are angry with Comey, shouldn't you take it up with his boss?
HE NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED! YEAH! sEE HOW HE LIKES THAT!
Hate Radio is remarkably entertaining.
They give Lynch a pass too. Lynch could come out tomorrow and tell the FBI she is never bringing charges and to shut down the investigation. The FBI works for the AG. Yet somehow Comey has gone rogue and no one thinks Lynch has any responsibility to stop him. Funny that.
Remember every time you hear complaints in this vein: Clinton surrogates are NOT claiming that these emails are clean. Every other defense is being deployed except for the "I'm innocent" one.
Pretty much
The Hate Radio guy took pains to point out that she is the most investigated person in history, and she's been proved innocent again and again. So there's nothing in these emails (or the non-production under subpoena), it's just the Republicans once again doing what they've been doing for decades to try to destroy this brave woman.
So I'd call that an "I'm innocent" defense.
is "Hate Radio" what you call NPR? i'm not familiar with this network
No, it's Progressive Talk Radio. The hosts are delightful mirror reflections of deep thinkers like Michael Savage.
I love the glowing reviews of his books on Amazon, talk about deep thinking.
Came across this yesterday: Real-life Indiana Jane, Alison Teal, 30, from Hawaii, USA, took her bright pink board 150 metres underground to surf with around six million skeletons in the Catacombs of Paris.

Trans Am (UK band on Thrill Jockey, Tortoise's label. Obviously sound sort of Tortoisey. I like them better. Esp the songs w/ "Not so many notes")
That last thing reminded me of "Neu!!" which was popular again for a second in the early 2000s, because Hipsters. I liked this when taking long drives.
Dwelling on the question of "Good songs with one chord", there was this Yo La Tengo track which is nice
*correction
Trans Am is a US band. The one in the UK is a dj. weird, because i think i came across them by seeing the latter dude referenced in someone's playlist.
Peter Thiel is apparently a big fat doodoohead.
Some in the tech world have called for Thiel to be dropped from the boards of the social network giant Facebook and California incubator Y Combinator over the donations. Thiel, who made his fortune co-founding PayPal, said the pushback has not affected his business dealings in "any meaningful way."
But Thiel, who also spoke in support of Trump at July's Republican National Convention, said he was surprised by the level of outrage. He specifically called out a leading LGBT magazine, The Advocate, for running an op-ed that questioned whether Thiel, a prominent gay conservative, could still be considered gay for backing Trump.
"The lie behind the buzzword of diversity could not be made more clear," Thiel said Monday. "If you don't conform, then you don't count as diverse, no matter what your personal background."
The gay equivalent of "race traitor", I guess.
wtf. that's so retarded i need to find the original

I'd like to see Epic Rap Battles of History do Anthony Weiner vs. Jerry Sandusky.
The crazy thing about Weiner.... is that he got caught texting pictures of his dick? and was kicked out of public office and scandalized and blah blah blah....
and then they made a documentary about his story because it was so kooky.
AND THEN... after all that...? HE DID IT AGAIN.
Its like .... w. t. f. bro
Naah.
If you believe that, you'd probably fall for the story about HRC's classified emails ending up on his computer...
Haha.
The GDP did grow by 2.9% in the latest quarter. But .9% of it was due to soybean exports.
"I've always had a bias for outsider candidates," he said, adding that he would have preferred a general-election showdown between Trump and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.
He's also a generous contributor to the anti-tax group, Club For Growth, according to election filings.
Thiel's $1.25 million investment is modest compared to another Silicon Valley figure's political donations. Dustin Moskovitz, a Facebook co-founder, and his wife, Cari Tuna, have contributed more than $23 million since mid-August to help Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton and other Democrats, a USA TODAY tally shows.
Thank heaven those Democrats are fighting the good fight against money in politics.
Ah, but they hate that they have to do it! George Clooney describes his own fundraiser as "obscene"

"CNN has cut ties with Donna Brazile after emails released by Wikileaks showed her apparently sending the campaign likely questions for Hillary Clinton before the second debate. CNN, though, also denies having given Brazile any advance information."
Well somebody's full of shit!
Donna just guessed the questions in advance.
"A source told CNBC that Comey didn't want to identify Russia as the source of hacking intended to influence America's presidential election so close to the election."
I think that's a really good point not enough people understand and appreciate.
If it weren't for the Russians, none of us would care that Hillary Clinton is a corruption magnate that peddles influence, pays operatives to instigate violence at Trump events, and mostly just wants to use the White House to cash in.
Also, if it weren't for the Koch brothers, I wouldn't care that Obama squandered my future paychecks bailing out Wall Street, bailing the UAW out of contract negotiations, and squandering my future paychecks on keeping state employees overpaid under the guise of stimulus.
Why, if it weren't for the Russians and the Koch brothers, I wouldn't care whether Obama and Hillary were screwing me at all! That's just the way I am. I love it when corrupt assholes squander my future paychecks on their cronies and use public office to enrich themselves and their families. If it weren't for the Russians, I'd think this was all great!
I still haven't seen a shred of evidence it's the Russians. Odds are it's a disgruntled insider; it usually is.
Absolutely.
But that being said, it doesn't really matter who the tattletale is.
Why would it matter?
We're not supposed to believe the facts before us if they're set before us by Russians?
Isn't it kinda racist of Hillary to say that?
It's one thing to deny the allegations.
Quite another to smear the messenger.
Reporter: "We have it from two sources that you did x, y, and z. Do you have any comment?"
Hillary Clinton: "You got that from the Russians!"
When something like that came from the Nixon White House, didn't Ben Bradlee used to call it a "non-denial denial"?
Hillary Clinton Reportedly Calls Doctor Who "Boring Garbage"

That's funny, considering Dr Who is essentially the progressive ideal: omnipotent, benevolent Top Man who goes around space time righting wrongs without resorting to violence and finding time to lecture along the way. He has TWO bleeding hearts FFS!
OK, Ira Stoll may have had a point earlier with his "not everyone is all bad (except Trump)" article.

Not the brightest bulbs on the Xmas tree, those Vulcans...
I'm shocked anyone is will to work for Trump without being paid in advance.
^This. The mainstream media seems to have conveniently forgotten about her, too.
