Security Video Contradicts Police Version of Fatal Shooting, Neighbors Say
Cops in Shelbyville, Indiana, say Jerrald Wright pointed a gun at them when they shot him to death during a stand-off.

Police in Shelbyville say they were responding to a "dispute" call when they saw Jerrald Wright waving his gun erratically outside his home. It's not clear whether police were headed to Wright's home or somewhere else but when he fled they followed. The local Fox affiliate reported on Sunday:
The man fled into the residence and ignored officers' requests to surrender. At one point, officers sent a remote control robot into the home that allows them to speak and listen to suspects. The suspect shot the robot twice, disabling it. The standoff lasted throughout the night, without any response from the suspect.
Just before 5:30 a.m. Sunday, the suspect exited the home and fired two shots at a Shelbyville Police tactical vehicle, then pointed the gun at officers. That's when officers from the Shelbyville Police Department and the Shelby County Sheriff's Department shot the suspect. He was taken to Major Hospital in Shelbyville and pronounced dead.
But now neighbors of the 54-year-old Wright say that's not what happened and that they have the video to prove it. The Fox affiliate reported earlier this week:
Neighbors who spoke with FOX59 News, including those who captured the incident on home security video, said Wright did not shoot at a vehicle or point a gun at officers.
They also said they heard no gunfire from Wright's home in the moments before officers opened fire.
The video does not clearly show anyone in a doorway or on the porch of the home.
"I don't like the way things were handled. They're making statements that aren't true. They're saying the guy stepped out of his house and fired shots and that's not true at all. I just don't believe they're telling the full truth about it," said Kelly Kikendall.
Kikendall also says tear gas entered her home through the air conditioners and that kids in the area were also affected by it. She also says she nearly tripped over a sniper in her backyard no one had told her about.
The Indiana State Police, who are investigating the shooting, say they know about the security video and are asking anyone else with audio or video of the incident to come forward to them, to assist with the investigation.

The officers' assertion that Wright masterminded the theft of the Springfield Lemon Tree could also not be verified.
Those dirty cops always say they saw a gun. Then they just plant a gun at the scene, to fabricate their point. And those asshole prosecutors and judges always look the other way to protect their crooked cops.
Kikendall also says tear gas entered her home through the air conditioners and that kids in the area were also affected by it. She also says she nearly tripped over a sniper in her backyard no one had told her about.
At this point, I would say Kikendall and her children (and pets) are lucky to be alive.
The investigation is still young.
Perhaps officers should execute a no-knock raid on the Kikendall household to secure more evidence. Who knows what she's withholding?
Clearly an assault on a police officer, and interfering with an office in the performance of his duty. Charge will be filed.
I know better than to watch those videos. Sorry. Don't want to ruin my weekend.
I took a chance this time (after avoiding such videos) based on the article(s) description of the video. All I could discern was the victim's house, an armored vehicle approaching along the adjacent street, and men shooting at the house. I didn't see the victim (Mr. Wright) being murdered. The video seems to contradict the official statement.
Perhaps Shelbyville Law Enforcement will offer videos substantiating their official statements....
White, doesn't matter.

Ok I laughed outloud to this one. Well played, sir, well played.
Oh, that Almanian.

I'm shocked... shocked!
Shelbyville, eh? This would never have happened in Springfield.
Actually, sounds more like a North Haverbrook kind of thing.
Well it really put them on the map.
*splutters, can't focus enough to narrow gaze properly*
The man fled into the residence and ignored officers' requests to surrender.
What were they going to arrest him for, exactly?
The suspect shot the robot twice, disabling it.
What was their basis for entering and conducting a search of his house? Did they have a warrant? If so, what did the application say? If the robot was there unlawfully, I think he has every right to wreck it, dress it in a pink tutu, or do whatever he wants with it.
And that's the official police story, which raises serious questions about the legality of what they did.
The unwillingness to be transparent makes these stories so convoluted that one could almost assume it is being done deliberately.
Almost?
Unwilling to be transparent because transparency will show it is worst.
Dressing it in a pink tutu would be applying a cisnormative gender role to the robot, without the robot's consent. It would invalidate the robot's identity.

You PC bro
Could he have sex with the robot?
I bet the cops involved have been severely reprimanded... for not confiscating all surveillance video in the neighborhood.
It's sad that criminals have started using surveillance cameras in the war on cops.
It's not their fault, they thought they did, so they shouldn't be held accountable, besides, since they thought they got all the cameras, taping them violated their privacy.
Does that seem contradictory to anyone else?
Are you counting the suspect shooting the robot as a kind of response?
Yeah. Seems responsive to me.
"The robot was not unresponsive."
It seemed more "nonsensical" to me. He shoots the robot and...NOTHING ELSE HAPPENED? Till he ran out of the house in the morning...and got shot to death?
lolwut?
I just assume they were all sleeping overnight, everyone had their alarms set for the same time in the morning, they all woke up, had their coffee, and then the man came out blasting. It makes sense.
It doesn't seem contradictory. It seems like a made up nonsensical sequence of events that never actually happened. It seems like the type of thing really stupid goons who fucked up and killed someone made up to cover their abject incompetence that they have an astounding amount of cover for because our demented society gives them that for inexplicable reasons.
Do you see the difference now, Her Worstness?
They passed a background check and spent a few months at a police academy. What more do you want?
Why can't it be both?
Don't be obtuse. Contradictory would just be a unintentional side effect of the nonsensical nature of it. They wouldn't be aware of any contradiction, they're not intelligent enough for that.
Uh, maybe like *someone* I'm talking to right now, huh?

"Security Video Contradicts Police Version of Fatal Shooting, Neighbors Say"
Hmm. I'll be less charitable.
Heading: "Security Video Containing Evidentiary Material Substantiates Eye-Witnesses Accounts and Contradicts Police Department's Official Narrative."
Sub Heading: "Police now asking citizens to produce any audio, video, or pictures of incident."
"Cops Lied; Someone Died
...and nothing else happened"
Hey, speaking of lying sacks of crap, the Hillary! campaign, which was firmly on the record that the email server had been wiped clean as a whistle, now questions why anyone would believe that rumor.
http://twitchy.com/2015/09/25/.....this-time/
No one would believe this if it were in a satirical novel.
"The Indiana State Police, who are investigating the shooting, say they know about the security video and are asking anyone else with audio or video of the incident to come forward to them, to assist with the investigation."
At which time we will immediately arrest and charge you for interfering with an investigation, erase your video, search your house and take whatever we want under asset forfeiture. Have a nice day.
Exactly. They are all a bunch of dirty crooks in law enforcement!
I lived in this town and county for over a decade, until the corruption drove me away. This video is a just the tip of the iceberg. Sooner or later, many residents knew they would crap the bed on video.
Past local LE incidents include. Throwing the local paper editor in jail (for smoking weed in his house), because he insisted on publishing the names of officers involved in fatal force incidences. Shaking down and searching Amish with assault weapons drawn (Federal court case). The local police chief admitted guilt in embezzling food drive funds, didn't go to jail, got his pension.. A school officer was convicted of only misdemeanor for sex with an underage girl, didn't go to jail. Arresting and putting a kindergartner in handcuffs and taking them to jail. Officers have lost weapons. Cops convicted of DUI's stay on the force. I could go on for pages, and this is only what is documented.
The amount of assets and toys owned by law enforcement is ridicules. I got a chance to gander their equipment they have. Which includes ... a zodiac craft that is better than the special forces group i served with had, a MRAP and a Bearcat, robots, and even drones. Remember this county only had 40,000 people in it.
