A bill in New Jersey seeks to place a three year moratorium on new charter schools.
For the kids.
Hello.
Always for the children.
Always.
Of course it's for the children. Which begs the question: Why do libertarians hate children? I mean, our public schools would be utopias if we just taxed the rich more and gave them more money, right?
everyone knows that the answer to better education is more money, especially in the hands of TopMen?
Michelle Obama I, Enlightener-in-Chief and Educator-General.
Michelle 2016 - Let the Wookie win.
Michelle 2016 -- RRRRGHHHHAAAAAAAAR.
The problem with public school: they are underfunded. If we just gave them more tax dollars, all of their systemic problems and perverse incentives would evaporate.
One of my favorite things in the world to do is engage people when they say schools are underfunded.
First question is, Ok, so if they are underfunded what are they not capable of doing today that new funds would allow them to do.
This usually leads to some stammering and maybe something about new buildings but in the end very quickly ends with a claim that teachers are underpaid and more money would correct that.
This is where I usually get unfriended becuase my response to that is to point out to them that if the problem with schools is that teachers are underpaid that means that the problem with schools is that the teachers suck and need to be replaced.
If we need to raise teacher pay to improve schools it means that either the teachers are barely competent mouth breathers who only have a job because we couldn't get actual competent individuals to take the jobs at the rates being offered or they are miserable assholes who are intentionally shirking their responsibility and denying the children an education because they are unhappy with their paycheck. Either way the vast majority of the teachers need to be replaced with actual decent human beings who are at least moderately competent to teach.
That's a good point. If teacher pay were high enough to attract people who would otherwise get a good paying job in the productive private sector, instruction would probably improve a lot. But that does mean replacing many of the current teachers. More money isn't going to magically make the current teachers better. Even if they want to make that argument, the implication would be that currently they are not doing as good a job as they could be. Which again reflects rather poorly on the current crop of teachers.
I think its also worth noting bloated, money-sucking administrative jobs. If half of them were eliminated the saved funds could be added to teachers salaries. Trying to remember the analysis in Freakanomics... something like 1000+ administrators working in the NYC education department building compared to 26 in the Catholic school system (which educates about 1/5 of NYC students.)

"...Which begs the question: Why do libertarians hate children?..."
Hate them? Why we LOVE them!
Some prefer them rare, while I favor a bit longer on the grill.
Free range children are definitely better eating.
You've been eating them? What a waste. All good libertarians know children should be slaving in the monocle mines.
I find that if you eat a few of them, the rest work that much harder.
Hey guys!
Hi Smilin' Joe!
Yo.
How are the Pan Am games treating you?
I live just east of Toronto so haven't had to deal with it too bad. But im on vacation this week so I got the hell out of the GTA and am currently enjoying a smoke and a view of the St. Lawrence. Little slice of heaven.
Oh you're near Toronto. I was just there for the big MRI conference. I posted here looking for poutine recommendations.
Don't look now, but there's one man too many in this room, and I think it's you.

YOU'RE JUST MAKING THEIR CASE FOR THEM, CHINA.

Relative hairlessness is pretty much the whole point of being with women. If they are going to be hairy, what's the point of putting up with their constant yammering and bear-attracting menstruation?

Did someone say tits?
Not if the boobs are hairy.. That's a red line..
Unless they're Iranian.

Yeah, OK. Boobs are pretty nice. Just, you know, keep your arms down.

Bernie Sanders Says 'Real' Unemployment Rate Is Actually 10.5 Percent, DOUBLE The Official Rate [VIDEO]
"When you talk about the economy we also have to have an honest assessment of unemployment in America," Sanders told a crowd of 7,500 gathered at a presidential campaign rally in Portland, Maine.
"Once a month the government publishes a set of figures, and the last figures they published said that official unemployment was 5.4 percent," the Democratic nominee continued, slightly misstating the Labor Department's most recent report which put June's unemployment rate at 5.3 percent.
"But there is another set of government statistics," Sanders continued, "and that that real unemployment if you include those people who have given up looking for work and the millions of others who are working part-time 20, 25 hours a week when they want to work full-time, when you all of that together, real unemployment is 10.5 percent."...
Uh oh. I can see prog heads spinning furiously trying to deal with this cognitive dissonance. Who to defend: The Lightworker or Chairman Sanders?
Not to mention libertarian and conservative heads, who frequently root for Putin over Obama. Hatred blinds all.
Libertarians root for Putin over Obama? What?
Supporting Snowden isn't rooting for Putin, but whatevs.
I've yet to encounter one such imbecile.
Wait for a Ukraine thread...
From what I've seen, libertarians just oppose intervention in Ukraine. I wouldn't call that "rooting for Putin."
Nice slogan : "rootin' for Putin"
I like Ike.
Dicks on for Nixon.
I think you just encountered one...
Also, does Bernie think that number should be higher? Because that's what his policies seem to indicate.
Hmm. Is the stalker supposed to be clever here?
WHo cares about unemployment? What I really want to know is how Sanders would reduce the incidence of cervical cancer in America? Why won;t the MSM report on this?
#waronwomen
Wow, Bernie giving an honest assessment of how his own party has failed in their economic endeavors. Amazing honesty. Wonder what dipshit will say?
One thing I have to say in favor of Sanders, he is pretty honest by pol standards. Of course he's also stupid enough to honestly believe that doubling down on failed policies will yield different results.
his honesty deserves credit. At the same time, and this is where the left is totally lacking in self-awareness, Sanders' honesty about who he is and what he would is precisely why he cannot win. People recoil at his ideas, maybe because they have seen those ideas fail.
"Maybe" because they have seen those ideas fail? Fuck, did they actually have to BE at the fall of the Berlin wall to take the lessons of communism to heart?
are you serious? Despite the Berlin Wall, and despite Greece and Venezuela and wherever else, they cling to their delusions that it's not the ideas, it's the implementation. Come on, man; you know that.
A man can dream that people can learn...
Problem is, his explanation for why it's high is likely to be wrong.
I wanted to get a writ of habeas corpus, but I should have gotten a-rid of you instead.
Bernie is not giving an honest assessment of "his own party" - he is, after all, an Independent. Which raises the question: Would you or I be allowed to run for the Democrat nomination if we wanted to? I know the GOP has a loyalty oath thing, you can't run for the party nod if you're not a member.
Sanders: I know unemployment!
I'm actually surprised Bernie brought this up. Between him and Trump, there's potential for real lulz that will make the normally focus-group driven presidential campaign season somewhat interesting.
Witnessing the media support and defend Sanders blustering absurdity, whilst steadfastly denouncing Trumps... that should be a sight to behold..
With the exception of Mark Steyn who has praised Trump for being the first R candidate to discuss an actual issue. Not that I agree with the rest of Mark's analysis.
I am sure he has been talking about the real unemployment rate for months now, right? I mean, I've seen people mention it on my FB feed. Usually just before they get stomped on by the progressive brigades ofr daring criticise the recovery.
Now if only he could make that giant leap to understanding that the fix is not more government policies, but instead to tear down policies that create barriers to employment, then he might be on the right track.
And he blames corporations and republicans for this.

Men, do your wives and yourselves a favor: buy her a vibe toy. You will thank me later!
The victim told police their marriage had to be nullified shortly after they tied the knot, when she learned that Horne was already married to another woman.
.
Something I don't understand about the bigamy laws - you can't legally be married to two people at once, you can't legally be married the second time, the second marriage is not a valid marriage. So what is there to nullify if they were never actually legally married and how could this guy (or any other in similar circumstances) be charged with bigamy if there was never actually a legal second marriage? If I went around claiming that I was married to both Morgan Fairchild and Morgan Freeman, could I be charged with bigamy?
Hillary: When you diss the government, you diss yourself
..."When people diss the government ? we're really dissing ourselves and dissing our democracy," Clinton said....
Speaking as an unacountable government bureaucrat - that's a load of bullshit.
I don't know--I think there's something to be said for the fact that venal, corrupt sociopaths like Hillary are supported by so many people to run the US instead of being thrown into the clink like they deserve.

Well, yeah. Government is The People. It says it right there in the Constitution.

Did Harper Lee write a *third* book? They're looking into the question now.
http://www.theguardian.com/boo.....are_btn_tw
If the third book exists, may I suggest one of the following:
To Kill a Mockingbird: Kill Harder.
Mockingbird III: This time It's Personal
Mockingbird vs. Colonel Sanders
Boo Radley's Revenge
To Resurrect a Mockingbird
Atticus Finch: Vampire Hunter
Atticus Finch: White guy who failed black people.
He also refused to believe a rape victim.
So the whitetrash fake rape victim has more victim-hood credentials than a black man now?
Gender partisans and race partisans have been in a quiet war since the beginning of suffrage.
Maybe just maybe there was a reason Harper Lee didn't publish them.
The rumor is Truman Capote helped Lee write Mocking Bird and that's why she never published another.

But at the Resurrection he will have an extra life.
Yeah, that is too bad. I don't like the direction Nintendo has been going, but he seemed like a good guy.
Japanese companies run very differently from American ones, though. Even in the region where Nintendo was based is apparently even much more different from other Japanese companies. Nintendo has a lot of older executives that require complete buy-in into anything they do. Otherwise, they won't proceed. It's tough to run a company that way

The Marine officer who made female recruits better shots at boot camp has been relieved of her command, igniting controversy
She got bounced June 30 after a command investigation accused her of "toxic leadership" by berating and showing contempt for subordinates in public. The 300-page report found her to be "hostile, unprofessional and abusive " and told recruits that sexual assault was preventable, and that those who drank put themselves in a position to be assaulted.
She also told recruits male Marines would never take orders from them and would see them as inferior if they couldn't meet men's physical standards.
But, according to the Times, her supporters say she was a blunt reformer only trying to make the unit better by holding women to tougher standards.
Witness the bureacratic pussification of our military.
+1 Bruce Jenner approves
Yeah.
Not good.
Isn't that the job description of a drill sergeant? If she had been a noncom instead of an LTC she'd have gotten away with telling the truth?
I don't get it either.
It is the military trying to adjust to generation retarded snowflake. They have recruits who literally have never been treated unfairly or in anyway told to like it or lump it in their entire lives.
When I arrived at PI 26 years ago, the enormous Drill Instructor who got us off the bus yelled at a guy for not following directions so loud he started crying on the spot. I've heard quieter gunshots. That was a "holy shit" moment for all.
Drill Instructor Staff Sergeant Strawberry. I probably spent a total of 15 minutes in his presence and still remember that dude's name. Filed it away under "do-not-fuck-with".
Part of the point of that experience is to teach people that sometimes the world just doesn't give a fuck what is fair or not. I am sure the guy didn't deserve what he got, but too bad. That is the point of the exercise; stop thinking the situation is always going to be fair and learn how to deal with it when it isn't.
My response to belligerent authority, especially shouting, is increased obstinance. It triggers the response of "if you're going to act like that, you don't deserve my respect, time, or attention." I would do poorly in a military setting.
At first. But eventually you would figure out that it is all a game and stop taking it personally.
They're fostering an environment which weeds out courage, discipline, and mental stamina to cater to the psychoemotional deficiencies of craven sacks who couldn't be considered men by any standard.
That is a very good way of putting it. Like the cut of your gib, Thy.
Eventually you learn to filter out the volume / emotion and concentrate on the message. The idea is that you learn to be calm under fire.
Which is exactly the attitude that would get people killed on the battlefield. They need you to follow orders from assholes in high stress situations, if you won't you either need to change or get another job. And it should be noted that getting another job isn't a bad thing. Someone who talking to people shouldn't be in customer service. Someone who doesn't like math shouldn't be an engineer. Someone being a mismatch for a job doesn't say anything about the job or the person in question.
An officer has little to do with marksmanship. Every platoon is assigned to a Primary Marksmanship Instructor for the 2nd Phase of Boot Camp. The PMI is and NCO who takes over from the Drill Instructors at the range. At least in my day, there has only been 1 recruit to ever shoot a perfect score at Parris Island - a woman.
Most woman shooters have never shot so no bad habits to correct and they are generally more flexible for the positions Marines shoot from.
I knew plenty of very good officers in the Army who couldn't shoot for shit.
No offense to the Army, but they don't teach shooting for crap except to the Infantry. When I was in the National Guard, maybe 10 guys who weren't former Marines or Army Infantry could shoot worth a damn.
You needed to be in a downstate IL unit 🙂
Everyone there shoots more than cops, regular Army, etc. Hard to get headcount at drill on days the hunting season opens too. The G-4 always had to twist and bend the drill schedule for deer season...
My dead grandmother is a better shot than most cops.
No they don't. That is because the Army believes in firepower and combined arms not marksmanship.
Starting at the end of WW2/early Korea. The polar opposite of ~150yrs of U.S. Army doctrine. They paid dearly for it with the converted Springfield's, and the Krag-Jorgensen rifle.. To this day, "semi" is still the first fire position on a U.S, weapon's selector..
Bloom County is back. All is right with the world.

A British government worker who helped regulate the country's anti-terror planning was fired after superiors learned of his Islamist sympathies, the Telegraph reported.
Abdullah al Andalusi said the brutal exploits of ISIS were "no different to the history of some Western armies" and supported the right of youths to venture to Syria to fight.

OPM hired contractors who were located in mainland China. Hiring the enemy to oversee your actions against him is apparently what enlightened governments do these days.
Just call them Foederati and it will all be okay
/Lazy Roman
Et tu, Wong Dong?
YOU HAD ONE JOB.
I also support the right of islamist fucksticks to leave to fight for ISIS, as long they aren't allowed back in. Killin' em on the battlefield is a lot cleaner and faster than dealing with the domestically.
Hillarynomics: A Sneak Preview
None of that will get through Congress. So the question is how much of it will she do by executive action and just how much further down the road towards Presidential dictatorship will the put us. My guess is a lot and pretty far.
At least executive action can be undone (in theory), unlike legislation which never goes away.
And there goes the rule of law.
Rule of law has been dead and gone for a long time now, if it ever existed that is.
Yes, assuming we ever see anything but an increasingly corrupt Prog President. And even if it is, eventually, the Right will get a set of balls and use those powers too.
I wouldn't necessarily equate ignoring separation of powers with growing a pair.
Sulla, Pompey, Crassus, and Caesar sure did. And everything turned out okay in the Roman Republic.
Well, if by "And everything turned out okay", you mean.. died horribly, in his own right..
the Right will get a set of balls and use those powers too.
Mostly, if history is any guide, to make the progressive trains run on time.
Do. not. want.
"None of that will get through Congress."
Which congress do you have in mind, John? The current one? Because it has done nothing but enable the Obama agenda. Why would they change their tune with Hilary?
Because it has done nothing but enable the Obama agenda
I guess that is why Obama has been reduced to ignoring the law in so many areas. The Congress would have given him what he wanted but he just didn't want to let the Republicans get credit for it or something.
The Congress has "enabled" Obama only in the sense that they don't have a veto proof majority or the votes to impeach him and thus can't stop him. That is it. this idea that the Congress without any help from the media or the opposing party is supposed to stop Obama and only hasn't because they support him is completely idiotic.
Bullshit. Congress has this thing called the power of the purse. The Repubican party didn't have to fund Obamacare or Obama's executive amnesty, but they did so anyway. Have you heard them say a thing about defunding Obamacare lately? That's all they talked a out during the last election cycle--they fucking ran adds saying this was the first thing they'd do. Ditto on executive amnesty.
The Republicans have refused to use the constitutional machinery available to them. To act like they are powerless here is fucking retarded.
They only have a power of the purse to the extent they can shut down the government. But the media ensures the public blames the Republicans and will not tolerate an endless government shutdown.
Here is how government works. There are four parties in Washington, the President, his party in Congress, the opposition party, and the media. You have to have three of four for anything to get done. So as long as the media and his own party stand by him, he is invulnerable. Anyone who says otherwise is delusional.
Well, at least his economics is in a class by itself. That's for sure.
By spewing even more economic nonsense, obviously.
That's one way of seeing it. The other way of seeing it is that overbearing government is what squelches economic growth.
"Clinton's aide said she will discuss some of the structural forces conspiring against sustainable wage growth, such as globalization, automation, and even consumer-friendly "sharing economy" firms like Uber and Airbnb that are creating new relationships between management and labor (and which now employ many Obama administration alumni)."
So raising the minimum wage will slow automation.... riiiight.
Spot the Not: Come at me, bro!
1. This Roman gladiator would begin each fight by dropping his weapon and throwing off his helmet and armor. He defeated many opponents until he was killed by a lion.
2. This WWI fighter pilot painted his plane blood red so everyone would know when he was in the air. He shot down at least 80 planes.
3. This samurai wore antlers on his helmet so everyone would know when he has on the battlefield. He fought in over 100 battles without suffering defeat or injury.
4. This pirate boarded enemy ships with burning sticks of sulfur stuck in his hair and beard. He wanted to look like Satan in order to frighten his enemies.
5. This WW2 fighter pilot was so feared that he once caused some enemy planes to flee by merely announcing his name on the radio.
6. This Muslim general began each battle by marching in front of his troops, pounding on his chest, and daring the enemy to send its best man to face him in single combat.
Number 1 is the not.
@#2 by the later years of the war, the rest of his squadron had painted their planes red because the allies had begun specifically targetting his aircraft. He got shot down by an Austrailian machine gunner on the ground.
@#4 it was match cord, as in the stuff used in matchlock muskets, because it burned slowly and so his hair wouldn't catch light before the battles ended. When they finally killed him, there were over twenty bullets and "innumerable" sword cuts in his body.
Try less famous people next time.
Definitely Number One.
A fun fact about gladiators: despite the popular image of them, few of them actually died in the arena. Most were professional fighters, trained by their lanista. Since they represented a huge investment, it was bad business to just kill them off.
5? I want to believe 1...
Imma say one, too. REcognizedc Blackbeard and the REd Baron, though...
1 is the Not. The rest in order are the Red Baron, Honda Tadakatsu, Blackbeard, Ivan Kozhedub, and Khalid ibn Walid.

Spot the Not: extreme animal sex
1. These slugs are hermaphrodites with penises in their heads who mate while hanging upside down from a trail of slime. The penises are colorful spirals which expand to a greater length than the slug.
2. These bees mate in violent orgies. The males wait near the burrows of the females. When the females emerge, their scent drives the males into a frenzy. The males attempt to gangbang the females while also biting and stinging to death rival males. The orgy ends when all the males are dead.
3. This toad is the most sexually aggressive animal known to science. Behaviors it exhibits include: rape, homosexuality, incest, necrophilia, orgies, bestiality, and combinations thereof. A male toad was once observed mating for 8 hours with a female that had been run over by a car.
cont'd
4. These marsupials mate once in their life cycle. The males suppress their immune system and cannibalize their vital organs so they can devote as much energy as possible to mating. When a male mounts a female, he often stays attached for hours. The males die from exhaustion soon after mating.
5. This stag beetle mates high in trees. The males climb in search of females. When males encounter rivals, they use their giant jaws to grab each other and throw them off the tree. When a male reaches a female, he uses his jaws to trap the female and rapes her. He then throws the female off the tree.
6. These crabs mate once in their life cycle. Males and females pair up by hooking claws and march into the sea in giant groups. The males and females release sperm and eggs which fills the sea with green foam. The crabs die after mating and their corpses wash ashore.
Pretty sure #6 is Decapodians.
#6 might be the not, but only if you consider Futurama to be a work of fiction. I believe it's an actual representation of the future, so all 6 are true.
You don't fool me - #2 is a rugby party, #3 is the STEVE SMITH TOAD.
I was expecting at least 1 STEVE SMITH joke.
WELCOME TO STEVE SMITH WILD KINGDOM! TONIGHT WE LEARN ABOUT HOW ANIMALS RAPE.
#2 lives in Australia, so you're half right. 3 creatures on this list live in Australia.
6 is the Not. I should have known better than to try a Futurama reference in this place.
The others in order are leopard slug, Dawson's bee, cane toad, antechinus, and Darwin's beetle.

#3 is the not. That is actually a description of Warty's exploits, including the marathon session of flattened toad humping.
Nope, that toad really exists. It does also describe Warty, though, so you're half right.
Jim Webb: The Sanders/Warren wing of the party is not my Democrat party
That is nice of him to say that. It didn't stop him from casting the deciding vote on Obamacare. It also didn't stop him from standing up and saying something about the various Obama scandals. When Webb was in the Senate and could have done something, he was nothing but an empty suit who did whatever Reid told him to do. Now that he is out of office and is in no position to actually do anything, he suddenly realizes the Democratic Party has gone full fascist.
Sorry Jim, you had your chance and failed.
I absolutely love how everyone who voted for Ocare was the deciding vote. I wish every piece of new legislation came down to that so that there would be no wiggling out of responsibility be the outcome good or bad.
so apparently it's on in True Detective.
Just can't get into it this year.
I fear topping the Woody/Cadillac Man duo will be difficult.
If by 'on' you mean 45 minutes of ridiculous dialogue and long-awkward silences with 10 minutes of over-the-top but entertaining action, then yes, it is on.
My problem is that all the characters this season are obviously speaking with the same voice from the same writer. That wasn't the case last season where Rust Cohle seemed like a well-read man that might talk like that and Marty was a more normal character who spoke in a way befitting the kind of character he is.
Hey, we actually did get some answers last night. We know that ex-soldier cop is gay instead of dancing around it like they did the first 3 episodes. We know Ani is a freak in bed. And we know everybody in Los Angeles but the 3 main characters is now dead after that shootout.
"We know that ex-soldier cop is gay instead of dancing around it like they did the first 3 episodes."
I'm pretty sure they stopped dancing around it in episode 3 where his army buddy explicitly mentioned a 'weekend' they spent together and then he went out and started pounding shots with male prostitutes.
I think the problem is there are too many primary character for a show with only 8 episodes. Farrell, McAdams, Vaughn and Kitsch are all main characters and we don't get enough interaction between them to really draw them out. We're getting snapshots of stereotyped behaviors instead of real character revealing conversations.
The best part was Colin Farrell's Vinci partner getting shot in the head.
The first one was a solid A, maybe even an A+.
This one is more of a B, floating up to B+ periodically, then drooping down to B-, etc.
The Progressive' reaction to the murder on the DC Metro of the gay guy ought to give gays pause for thought in throwing their lot in with the Progs. Here is a gay man brutally murdered in front of horrified and unarmed onlookers and the media is doing everything to ensure no one cares. To the Progs, whether your life matters is entirely dependent on how valuable it is to the cause.
http://www.americanthinker.com.....oints.html
Has there been any evidence that the murder was because he was gay, or was it just a crazy guy?
And I'm laughing out loud at the American Thinker writing that a 'small folding knife' should not have been in the hands of a repeat criminal. So what, should we have background checks regarding tiny knives that are sold virtually everywhere?
He wasn't. He was murdered over a robbery. But even if he had been, the media still would not touch it because his assailant was a black teenager. If the day comes that the Muslims or black teenagers decide to start gay bashing, the Progs will tell the guys to suck it up, because doing something about it would require admitting that some other favored group doesn't like gays. Since doing that requires admitting that white conservatives might not be the problem, Progs won't do it. And it will just be too bad for the gays who get their skulls cracked open or worse.
"If the day comes that the Muslims or black teenagers decide to start gay bashing, the Progs will tell the guys to suck it up, because doing something about it would require admitting that some other favored group doesn't like gays."
This is absolutely true. Sort of like how progressives spend time obsessing over rape committed by white frat boys (which rarely happens) and seem to not really consider that there's vastly more rape in ghettos than on college campuses.
I guess victimized black women can just go fuck themselves unless the person who abuses them is a white guy.
Or how they are obsessed with "domestic violence" but never say a single word about the huge incidence of it among lesbian couples. If you are a lesbian and your girlfriend beats you up, well that is just part of the flavor of the community I guess.
Or how they are obsessed with "domestic violence" but never say a single word about the huge incidence of it among lesbian couples.
Feeding the stereotypical image of a bull-dyke? How hateful of you!
Do you have a citation for that? I've never heard that before.
http://www.theatlantic.com/hea.....nt/281131/
I know six lesbian couples... four have/had regular episodes of violence, seeming to me to be mainly driven by serious personality disorders.
I don't know if lesbians are more likely to suffer from personality disorders than the regular population, or if there are so few choices that women tend to be involved with someone that they aren't compatible with, or if it's a cultural thing.
"I don't know if lesbians are more likely to suffer from personality disorders than the regular population"
The half-trained psychologist in me says that you should expect higher incidence of personality or mood disorders from any minority that experiences significant social difficulties, whether due to prejudice or cultural isolation.
Ceteris paribus, anything that makes your social life more difficult is going to make you more prone to negative emotions.
Domestic violence numbers go Lesbian, hetrosexual, gay. Which makes sense when you consider how much anti-violence gets drilled into guys heads growing up. Guys generally have a pretty good understanding of where the acceptable lines of violence are (doesn't mean everyone follows it, just that they tend to know they are there).
I think it also dovetails with research that domestic violence is usually initiated by women, it is just that in heterosexual relationships, the guy is usually larger and stronger and so it doesn't end well. If you have two women that doesn't apply and they wind up beating the shit out of each other.
Following the example of Saturn, the Revolution will devour its children.

I was pretty much with them until...
Citation needed.
I would like to see the citation for that too. While I doubt that is true, I honestly don't know. I wish he would have given some justification for that belief rather than just pulling it out of his ass.
Re: B. Woodrow Chippenhaus,
Trayvon Martin's toxicology report showed a presence of THCs at a level consistent with past use. The court did not allow the Zimmerman defense team present the finding as evidence.
Michael Brown's toxicology report showed that he had used marijuana recently.
None of the toxicology reports showed evidence that the two shooting victims were high on the drug when they committed their assaults. I am guessing the author of the article is simply assuming that the mere presence of THCs is sufficient to conclude that a person is high on marijuana. To me, that is evidence of the author's bias against marijuana than of his objectivity.
Spires appears to have acted under the influence of synthetic marijuana, which is widely available in D.C. over-the-counter at many stores. D.C. officials are only now pushing hard on enforcement in the wake of Sutherland's murder. Yet D.C. just legalized natural marijuana, which often has the same effect on young men as the synthetic kind. Though heavily played down by the press and liberal politicians, Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown were both high on the drug, which on some people (especially young men) produces not a mellow high but aggressiveness and a sense of invulnerability.
Wow, so much stupid. Everything preceding this paragraph was spot-on though.
It's a pretty good article until this:
I'm no expert on "synthetic marijuana" but the natural kind certainly does not create "aggressiveness and a sense of invulnerability" in the vast majority of users.
Tsipras finds he has no leverage, decides eating "pride" isn't too healthy. Might have learned calling the people from whom you wish to borrow money "terrorists" and "nazis" probably isn't an effective negotiation tactic:
"EU leaders have reached agreement that paves the way to a third Greek bailout, if Athens parliament approves tough austerity measures"

His return to Athens should be interesting.
How do you say "tar and feathers" in Greek?
They slapped him around pretty good in the EU Parliament.

Charles C. Johnson with the best and most concise summary of the Washington Post's rehiring of Dave Weigel:
So basically, when libertarians and conservatives make vague threats and death wishes upon their opponents, they get investigated by the Southern District of New York. When leftists do it, they get hired and rehired by "prestigious" entities like the Washington Post. No double standard there at all!
Maybe Shreek really is a Dave Weigal run sock puppet. What a freak. Seriously, what a fucked up broken human being. I feel sorry for Weigal in some ways. I don't wish him ill but he has no business working as a journalist or having access to any kind of public soapbox as loud as the one at the Post.
Yes, there's no question that it's him. The reason I'm 100% certain of that is not simply because of the "ratfucker" terminology, but because on three different occasions I caught him posting the exact same thing here and on his Twitter account at basically the same exact time. Once might be just a coincidence, but that many times? No way.
What really ticks me off is that we have to put up with the clone buddies of his who work here like Suderman and Soave. But, I would bet all my money that it's only a matter of time until Weigel fucks up again and forces them to can his ass yet again. He's a really sick puppy and I don't think he's capable of behaving like a normal human being for an extended period of time. He can't help being what he is.
If you can't trust the opinions of gotnews, who can you trust? Next to TMZ and Gawker, they're my most trusted propaganda news outlet.
