Watch Matt Welch Talk 2016 Race at 4:30 PM on MSNBC's NOW With Alex Wagner
Christie vs. Snowden, Rubio vs. Iraq, Loretta Sanchez vs. her own mouth, etc.
For a half-hour beginning at 4:30 p.m. ET, I'll be on MSNBC's NOW With Alex Wagner talking about stuff like:
* Chris Christie's rhetorical war vs. "civil liberties extremists."
* Marco Rubio's weird wrestling with the Iraq War question.
* Hillary Clinton's endless silence.
* Politicians being all greedy.
* The GOP trying to figure out how many candidates should debate.
* Rep. Loretta Sanchez (D-Calif.) getting in trouble with a dot-feather situation.

Prediction: Half-knotted tie
good call.
MSNBC rates a tie, but not a serious one.
Double Windsor or kill yourself.
/DWOKY
I'm a half-windsor dude. double windsor looks pretentious, especially on young people who are fairly trim.
british footballers, sportscasters wear them and look like idiots.
Not if you know hot to tie one.
How. Fuck.
Fucking civil liberties extremists. Splitters!
How many candidates for debates? All except the civili liberties extremists!
Exactly.
Something about making sure the "adults" have plenty of time to speak...
Now that "retards" is considered offensive in reference to people with mental disabilities, I say we repurpose it to mean "politicians."
Serious answer to the debate question:
Make it like the America's Cup. On the challenger side (GOP), everyone debates everyone else round robin. So 2 people per debate but # of debates = N(N-1)/2
And after the round of head to heads, go to 3 person debates.
N(N-1)(N-2)/6.
And then to 4 and etc.
I prefer a single elimination, one on one, tournament. Then we can make bets on our brackets.
Thunder dome. X number of politicians enter, one leaves. Then we kill that one.
I agree. These debates have become pointless in an era when everyone can see all the candidates, all the time. They should all get on stage--including the "moderators"--and then a pair of tigers should be released. It would be far more entertaining, and everyone would lose, which is the appropriate outcome anyway.
2 Americas, 1 Cup?
I do not want to see what you did there.
From the Sanchez article:
""I was shocked and appalled that she would make the disparaging comments about Native Americans that way," [some dude] said. "It's just very undemocratic.""
Now insensitive noises, jokes, etc. are undemocratic?
Yes. Not entirely submitting to the volont? g?n?rale is undemocratic.
Maybe unDemocratic?
They keep using that word, I do not think it means what they think it means.
Alex Wagner? Why? Why even entertain that disingenuous prog mouthpiece?
Most bangable mouthpiece on MSNBC?
Not exactly a high bar.
Republicans hate trains? Love trains? Not enough trains?
To me, that says, "Why the fuck do we need more trains?"
Slightly OT: I gor my first political phone call ad for the 2016 cluster fuck the other day. Yay!
Ky governor primary is tomorrow and GOP primary is a 3-way tie right now. Last poll I saw had them at 27-26-25 percents.
Fourth guy was at 8.
I guess I should figure out who Im gonna vote for soon.
Is it streamed from the page at the link?
Apparently I'd need a cable TV acc't. Anyone care to share theirs?
