Obama: 'Death of Michael Brown Is Heartbreaking'
Calls for reflection and understanding
The full statement:
The death of Michael Brown is heartbreaking, and Michelle and I send our deepest condolences to his family and his community at this very difficult time. As Attorney General Holder has indicated, the Department of Justice is investigating the situation along with local officials, and they will continue to direct resources to the case as needed. I know the events of the past few days have prompted strong passions, but as details unfold, I urge everyone in Ferguson, Missouri, and across the country, to remember this young man through reflection and understanding. We should comfort each other and talk with one another in a way that heals, not in a way that wounds. Along with our prayers, that's what Michael and his family, and our broader American community, deserve.

I hope he had his people do some research this time. He really stuck his dick in it over the Trayvon Martin fiasco.
Hey maybe he can sit down with the shooter and the deceased's parents and talk through it over beers.
"If I had a son, he'd look like Michael."
I'm genuinely curious, does Obama make an effort to weigh in on every unjustified police shooting, or does he only bother with the high profile black victim shootings? I know that meme is popular right now so I have to wonder how consistent he is with his condolences, hopefully more so than his pardons and commutations.
He should investigate the hell out of this, like they should for every police shooting.
Why is He more upset over this one, when dozens are killed all the time in Chicago? Is killing blacks ok as long as they do it among themselves?
Hypocritic Rubes. Their politicization is disgusting.
They don't kill each other, guns do. Duh. Now if only we can repeal the Police Officer Stand your Ground Law in Missouri, then incidents like this wouldn't happen.
