Fiscal End-Times: White House Not Able to Fix Up Bowling Alley
The White House has opted not to renovate its bowling alley after all-a tell-tale sign of the moral decay of our once great nation.

The White House has opted not to renovate its bowling alley after all—a tell-tale sign of the moral decay of our once great nation.
The bowling alley, which is reportedly nigh unusable (unbowlable?) due to its shamefully "chipped lanes and worn-out shoes," has not been fixed up in 15 years. Post-9/11 America has never had a respectable White House bowling alley. Now it never will.
Media scrutiny (read: sabotage) of the proposal to spend money on a fancier bowling alley—at a time when government purports to be cutting back—ultimately doomed the renovation, according to The Washington Times.
Without a better alley, how will President Obama improve his abysmal bowling game? Answer: he won't. Woe to the American people.

Fun example of basic economic ignorance.
I take it that if liberals have one major complaint with reality, it's that two people can exert equal labor yet make different amounts of money.
Four of the rising costs are rising SPECIFICALLY because of the government; the lst (food) is rising because people are buying what they like.
That's cherry picked data of the worst sort.
I'd say that ethanol mandates certainly put the fingers of the government on rising food prices as well.
Ethanol mandates are the tip of the iceberg. The entire farm bill is nothing but creative ways to limit supply, while increasing/ shifting demand.
Exactly.
One might ALSO note that the things that are going up in cost are the most regulated....idiot!
Obama has money. Let him fix it.
He's got Obama money.

+1 White Russian
Yes, yes he did.
That's pretty eggheaded.
He was very sincere, expressed an interest and an openness in being more engaged in the movement, and said he was a fan of the movement and I think, importantly, he said he was ready to have some of our athletes over to the White House to bowl or play basketball or help him improve his score.
Oh fuck off.
Maybe he could get Shrillery to donate enough money to fix it; she's rich now.
Moar bowling. Less ruling.
Now there's an idea.

Perhaps they'll restore the swimming pool that resides under the lanes?
